Hi guys a question
for some reason i keep on getting the envelope on the Manila Slider showing me 1 unread SMS..
However the inbox is empty as is the deleted items..
Soft reset makes no difference.. and it comes back after a hard reset for some reason as well..
Any ideas?

You're not the first one to have this problem.
I don't have a 100% working solution for you, but please try this cab here:

Did you try it with sense disabled? Here is another option, copy exe to phone and run and then reboot, Fix unread count
i have the same issue and the cab or exe file didnt fgix it for me the old way i have got rid of it is to delete all my messages, but restoring them is a pain as it can only be done 1 at a time! ive had this issue for a while now, im using cleanex DSE v6 rom, with radio 2.15

Recently, I found out, that most meetings which are 2 days later than today, don't show up in the notification queue and therefore an alarm isn't launched. It works for tomorrow meetings/actions, but not for 2 days and later. I tried hard reset, also PC outlook cleanup. No change at all. I tried even hard reset, NO SYNC, installed app from card to check the notification queue and made a meeting in the calendar - again no notification. Pretty weird, it sucks ass..
But what's weird, when I synch via ActiveSync, sometimes the notifications are erased and new are set up. So it's a problem with the phone...
I was searching on internet and I found out, it might have something to do with files calupd.exe and calnot.exe . I found these files in my Windows folder, but the size is really weird - calupd has the size 1684, calnot has size 1968. Can somebody else check the size of calupd and calnot in the Windows folder? I wonder if the size on my phone is OK or corrupted...
Again - hard reset with NO ACTIVESYNC didn't help...

There is a tool, called SK TOOLS LITE (for free). In there you can see all the notifications..
I instaled Dopod ROM U1000 but after soft reset I saw that my all email acounts are gone. What´s done?
this is freaken wierd coz it happened to me yesterday when i backed up my mobile and it restared i lost my email account, only yesterday out of all days when i actually do the same action, usually nothing happens but only yesterday, wierd, i have advantage 7500 with WM6

If you are saying that the email accounts had gone after the ROM upgrade, that is what should happen. Please clarify.

dont reset it right after you create the accounts
you need to wait a while after doing some modify on your u1000 to let the modified data go to rom from ram
I have done a new flash ROM and seems to me that is OK now.
This problem is a bug of WM5.
there is a tiny solution to restore the mails accounts:
you can download it for PPC or smartphone from here:

Just had the same problem - 4 email accounts disappeared from Messaging during a soft reset - although 2 Today plugins still showed unread mail in those accounts and Messaging wouldn't let me create a new account with the same name.
Anyway, the PPC application linked above fixed it. Thanks V. much!
BTW, the bottom button disappears off the bottom of the display in landscape mode. Switch to portrait first, or just click what little you can see of the button to proceed with the repair (like I did).

I keep getting this message "Tap here to launch TouchFLO" come up when i return from screen lock . Whats wrong, i effectively have to load touchflo all the time.
I did reboot my phone to the manufacture settings, but sill the message is coming up everytime I close an app.
The phone is NEW without any applications,(got it 2 days ago)
Did anybody had the same error?

I believe this isn't an error, just the way things go with touchflo starting...

So anytime I close an application and return to Home screen Touchflo must restar?
I think that this is wrong, and touchflo sould start only when I restart my phone.
If every Htc touch 2 is the same than it's allright, I am going to live with it but I don't think so.

Sorry, I missunderstood you, it is abnormal for touchflo to restart everytime you return to homescreen.
Consequently I believe it's time for hard-reset, if not solved it can be some corrupted (original) ROMconfused or hardware problem?!
I did a hard-reset but I've got the same message everytime.
I am going to call the service center tomorow.

this happens when the phone runs low on memory. happened a lot when I installed touchFlo on someone's old Polaris. check if you don't have something running in the background

Try mmtaskmanager2.2(if necessary) ...
or it happens mostly when you install a new theme with some files missing or not supported by Manila 2d v2 or you have replaced/deleted some theme files in/from windows folder.

Hi,
Yesterday I did a Hard reset and then I was opening each software one by one to see wich one will bring that message back again.
Finally found it !!!
It is the Quick GPS software , once I acces this software the massage is back for ever.
Now I am not downloading anything on Quick GPS and after the second hard reset done the phon is PERFECT.

actually dialer FC with showing COntracts stopped working, but actually the contacts is workign fine. the real problem is with dialer only. looks like it has problem in reading the call log and also with T9 contacts.
urgently need a solution for this otherwise we canot continue using this rom.

I am having the exact same problem and would like a fix without reindralling rom. I have tried clearing dsta for all relating to dialer, phone and contacts, but no help. As soon as i hit phone, dialer crashes and after 10 seconds it says that contacts has stopped working.
Also when first installed the android keyboard crashed all the time and had to switch to smart keyboard.
I m having the same problem too. I thk when the call log has reached a certain amount of storage. The dialer will start crashing. I've experienced twice. The first time I juz try to ti- backup and flash the rom again. But juz now I face the same problem again, don't wanna flash the rom everything to fix it. Any solution to it?? Thx. I've tried to wipe all cache and even clear data of the application contacts, however is useless...
Hope there will be some fix for it as I really prefer 1.1 instead of 1.2 onwards...

Have you tried upgrading to v1.4? when i installed, triple wipe i did the main rom, then gapps, rebooted recovery, installed siyahkernel and it all works for me

It's known problem with RR 1.1 & T9 dialer - if you used the search tool you would know (I had the same exact problem)... Anyway, the problem occurs when you reject a call, once it's F-ed there's no going back (tried reinstalling the apk, TB-it - NOTHING). If you dont want to reflash you can use exDialer from the market, that's what I did then OR upgrade to 1.4, you wont regret - hope this helped (Excuse my bad english)

I've tried 1.3 before but there are several things that i don't like, such as the toggles style of notification bar, the fm radio is removed, camera can't save pics in sd card, can't chg the font style, etc. Thaz why i prefer to stay at 1.1 ...

Glad I helped . Anyway you can use the other "afterbootxxxxxxx.zip" file without T9, that way you can be rude and rejecting calls without FC's afterwards but you'll lose T9 func.
Oh juz saw someone posted in gs2root.com, say when having the contacts fc, can solved by clearing data of "contacts storage", only drawback is lost all the call logs ... but I m not sure is it refering same issue ... wanna know does it work?? (I haven't tried it yet)
Ok, so, I was having the same problem. I tried opening the dialer app information (holding the app icon) and then i cleared the data, it's working perfectly, no drawbacks that I could notice

Have you restored all the settings by Titanium Backup? Because I had the same issue when I always flashed a new rom and restored everything by Titanium Backup. TB is good for restoring apps but if you restore your sistem via TB that can cause problems.

No, i didnt do a full wipe anyway when upgrading from omega v27.2 to v29, so i didn't need to backup and restore with Titanium Backup...

This actually brings me to another question:
I had a similiar problem, I always got the small "1" on the message app icon, eventhough no new message arrived... Restart sometimes fixed this problem, but not allways... Does anyone know more about this problem?

Regarding the notification, it's likely you have an old message somewhere in your messages list... if you don't, I seem to recall there was a known bug where that happened. Try doing a search.

I already checked, there are no old messages, i even deleted them all.
I also tried several possible solutions, but not a single one helped... The problem also seems to happen randomly...
- I restarted the phone
- I deleted the cache
- I deleted the cache of the "BadgeProvider.apk"
- I deleted the message app icon and replaced it on the home screen from the app list
None of the solutions helped... If anyone has another idea, i would be greatly thankful!
