Does anyone having the same problem that I have?? I'm experimenting some issues about random shutdowns. When I'm asking myself that whant happen that I havent receive a call and see my phone Its off. That its happening to me since I bougth the phone. Its no rooted. Including when I was talking the phone shutdown. Anyone knows something about this?? Thank You

hi, my phone has been playing up really bad. when someone tries to ring me it goes to answer phone. then the phone freezes. ive changed the rom so many times to try and overcome this problem, and nothings working. sometimes i lose GSM/3G connections and it wont connect back unless i take the battery out and restart it. its so annoying. ive upgraded the radio to all the avaliable ones and nothings changing. could anyone help me before i smash this thing up?

Sounds like a hardware problem to me
I don't know if it is the same problem as someone I know had, but it happened to his when it was on Vibrate mode. A change of the Radio and ROM did it for him. I think I started fresh by puuting in the 1.04 Bootloader for him. I will have to call him to ask if he still has problems.
have you tried to just hard reset it?
Probably you installed some application that is causing the trouble.
Hey guys just curious but has anyone else had any problems regarding to the phone just randomly switching itself off and then back on again? This has happened to me a few times now and thought i'd see if anyone else had, had this happen to them and knew what was causing it or any information at all really.

I saw you debranded your phone.
Those restarts happened before too? If yes, you might want to send it to warranty.
If no, is the new firmware so, you might want to flash the old firmware again
Yeah sorry i should have mentioned that the random restarts occurred before and after the debranding. I think I may need to send it in
this same thing is happeining to me?? like once a day??? its really wierd...
I haven't debranded or anyhting and it has only started happening for the past week or so (I've had the phone for a month)
It happens to me when I connect my phone to my PC via USB and select "Mount".

sadly this is a hardware issue... Whenever the phone warms up a little bit.
I didn't have that issue in the first months but ever since then and more and more frequently. Right now I'm fighting with o2 to get a new device, because this doesn't seem to be repaired.
Do the following test to make sure you have that hardware-bug:
Let the battery charge for a while. When you notice your phone getting a little warm, open a few applications (google maps, navigation, mediascape) whatever... The phone should immediately restart itself.
When you remove the battery cover it might also smell a little burnt.
Congrats... You're affected and it's only gonna get worse...

Well... I have this phone since yesterday... I plugged to the computer with Kies, and well, a update was available... now the phone have Froyo and the aesthetics changed completely, it looks awesome.
But, the phone have this ANNOYING problem that, after using it... like 5~10 minutes of no activity, when I try to use the phone again it doesnt work... doesn't respond to any button, I have to take off the battery in order to restart it and that over and over again...
I've realized also that this happens when I'm using wifi, if I left the phone with wifi on this happens, without wifi seems to work fine.
Somebody have any clue what could be? there's little information about this issue in the internet...
I think I'm going to return it but I want to try everything I can do (without voiding the warranty) since the phone was perfect for what I wanted.

Hey. I got the same problem here. It only happened a few times when I just had froyo that came stock on my galaxy 5 but I recently installed cyanogenmod 7 and now its happening everytime I put my phone down.
So I'm guessing it may be directly related to what rom is installed? I've heard about it happening a bit to people who have 2.1 installed to.
I dont know too much but it seems the only fix is to take out battery and turn on.
Sorry I can't help more. I hope somebody knows a bit more than me on this.
Think this is called something like the 'wifi sleep of death', something to do with the rom. i'd try change the rom and see if it still occurs
Thanks for the hints tho!, but I returned the phone... it seems that is a bug related to the update of the phone, since I know that with the out of the box 2.1 version it doesn't have that issue...
You know, the mobile carriers also do weird stuff to the roms... -__-

i recently changed from HD2 to SGS2 and im really new about how things work on this side..
My Problems are:
I receive the same SMS multiple times.. It usually stops when i get another SMS but then it continues with that new one..
When screen is off (standby) i dont receive any calls.. It keeps ringing on the other side but i dont see anything on the phone.. Just when i have the phone beside any radio or speakers, i hear that something is coming (you know that mecanic sound that comes from PC speakers etc.), but there is nothing on the phone.. Also same for the SMS'es, i get the SMS'es after i turn the screen on..
When in standby, it shuts off the Wifi, even if i set up the Sleep Policy to never..
So i suppose, the phone shuts almost any radio, when in standby (maybe something like flight mode).. And i dont know what are those related to ? Should i just change the kernel (if so, which one ?) or completely change the ROM and everything..?
My Phone has currently Android 2.3.3 (i think it is an official standard rom)
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKE7
Mobile Company: SIMYO - Germany

My problem started a week ago, same symptoms. I also noticed that one of my apps was stalling, Total call recorder. Just uninstalled it and the problem have been solved for an hour right now. Ill keep you updated when more time has past.

i had the problem always, even after hardreset, so i think it wasnt a software problem..
i gave the phone for repair on 14. sept. and im still waiting.. it came aready 2 times as "repaired" but the problem was still there..
i dont know if im unlucky or if samsung sucks..! either way im waiting for more than 3 months and dont know what else i can do..
So my phone does some weird things.
It's a chinese iphone5 copy with android.
It is based on MTK chip. I flashed a few roms already on it, and it was okay. But a while ago, it started freezing.
So the freezing is quite interesting. The screen freezes, the sound continues to play but it doesn't react to any thouch input, not even to hardware buttons so I have to pull the battery out.
I tried reflashing old roms which have worked but still same thing. I don't know what can be the problem :-S
Can any1 help me? Does any1 have any idea what can be the problem? I heard something like this before, for other phone models, but the same problem, they flashed a new radio or baseband, not sure.

EDIT:
So it seems the problem was the SIM card itself! I don't know or why, but somehow the sim card kept freezing the phone. Now I just cleaned it's connectors and there is no freezing.
If any1 else has this problem, now you know what to do

So now I figured out it's even more interesting.
I was playing Sims Freeplay and the freeze occured, but the game still running so realized that somehow after freeze, the OS and apps are still running but it doesn't accept any type of input anymore :| What could be the problem?
