Is there anyone that could port this over to our device w/ an updated Battery Icon and the evo black bar mod?
Thanks!

Eugene's Vibrant6 rom has that transparent bottom, and you can also apply a metamorph to have the little android guy at the bottom in a variety of different colors as well. The metamorph should give you the look you want, but the rom gives great performance.

Yeah i Saw all that, i wouldn't prefer to have the Android guy in the notification bar... I just want a simple black themed notification drop down with a transparent center.

This is a screenshot of using both Vibrant6 and the metamorph'd notification window

Yeah i've seen it... its not too bad, but i'm pretty happy with the stock rom, i'll start getting into custom roms once we get some 2.2 roms going out here. For now, i'd just like a simple notification drop down look

Im going to bump this because I too want the black notification bar drop down; MINUS the droid guy ;
I also love the battery icon and the signal bars as well; any way to port those over as well?
I believe the rom with the black notification pull down bar is called samset1.9f...

here is a grey one I did... I can make a black pulldown right now...
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?40jav7luw03vnmr
Both the framework and twframework have apk at the end of their name that have to be deleted before you flash or it errors..
Go to astro, android themes, clean_clear, and delete apk from folders names...
http://db.tt/Vnx3ztU here's a new one with a black transparent status background.. I just used the same bg as "phone locked, sweep screen to unlock" from the lock screen.. with some small tweaks added..

I wish someone would make a glass notification bar. The clear one that someone made isnt really clear.

I'm currently working on a "Super Battery Life" theme that uses as much flat black as possible, and I'll be theming the notification dropdown much like this. I can post it up here when I'm done
It's my first theme so it might take a while to figure out which image files apply to which parts of the screen...but don't panic, I'm an art student. It'll look sleek, even if it's meant to be used with a flat black background as well.
Let me get some dinner and I'll get back to work! XD

Acjames... how about I teach you how to do it?

That's the plan - I started with the Evo Black Bar mod and replaced the notification bar background with flat black from the gradient-black, BUT I hit a little bit of a snag because the icons all have that gradient background and it would be a super pain to go through manually and change them all. I've PMd bahnburner to ask if he has them with transparent backgrounds - otherwise it wouldn't really hurt to just use the original Evo bar with the gradient. 300 pixels of non-black never hurt an AMOLED!
I'm still trying to make everything as black as possible >_< I currently use a black background, but then I realized that if someone is using a normal background and just wants a black theme, I could be making ugly black boxes instead of transparencies where I need to!
It's a learning experience.
Hey OP - any idea what the name of that ROM was? I can probably extract the theme you want from there and it might help me out with my endeavors.
Edit: actually if the OP or anyone else would like to help me find whatever rom that came from, it'd be a huge help. This is becoming very tedious o.o I'm determined to figure it out though! Things are looking pretty good, just going slowly.

For Sure.... Heres the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=724576
Are you going to make the background of the notification bar transparent like original picture i posted or 100% black..... A good idea might be to do maybe a version if you had time... if i remember correctly it should just be a different image for each so it shouldn't be too difficult. Thanks for all your work in getting something like this going, greatly appreciate it xD... Any plans on mixing any battery mods in?

Hmm. I didn't have any plans to mix a battery mod in. I'm using some crazy colorful square one with the standard Evo theme everywhere else...if you have a request I could certainly mix in a battery mod, but it's probably easier for everyone if I just leave out the files altogether and then they can pick a standalone.
I'm looking at the initial picture you linked and I don't see a transparent notification bar...you mean the part that slides downward? That background? I currently have it set to a semitransparent dark theme, with gradients on the top and bottom.
Right now I'm working on the Black theme as well as porting the theme you linked. I can shift my efforts to the port and have that posted soon as a folder to be used with MetaMorph.
Did you have a specific battery iconset in mind? There's one that comes with the Evo set, remember. I can just add that if you like.
Edit: wheeee bricking my poor sweet Vb once or twice...oops >_> I'm still learning...this could take longer than I thought.

Well, I got the black theme looking the way I want it to, the only problem atm is that it's composed of two other metamorph themes that have been horribly mangled, so I have to figure out how to make that into one theme. The battery is "Square Battery V1" found here on xda; it won't be included. Pictures here, though I can't post links or attachments yet...

These look pretty good so far. Should to switch to red for the notification icons rather than blue? Uses less battery.....or something........ok so I just want red!

These look fantastic!... Only thing that I would recomend would be to change the very bottom bar that you use to pull the notifcation screen downwards... Maybe like a Black Glass Effect would look good or you could use the one on the picture i posted, looks great.. Great progress looks amazing!

[MetaMorph Theme] ClearBar v1.0

FOR SAMSUNG VIBRANT (SGH-T959)
APPLICATION TO OTHER GALAXY S MODELS IS DONE AT YOUR OWN RISK, AND I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PROBLEMS THIS MAY CAUSE.
New Release!
Wow, it's been a while since I've done any work on this theme. Here's a much-needed update that should help with applying this theme with the new firmware and with other custom themes. Not much has changed graphically, except for the new transparent blue pop-up text boxes.
The main theme no longer contains my notification icons. Those are now packaged separately in two different versions, one with the battery icons and one without. If you are using a custom battery indicator, such as an accurate battery mod, then use the package without battery icons.
Also, I have included a dark-to-light package for moving from a dark notification theme such as my AllBlack theme or the one included in Bionix. THIS IS FOR JI6 FIRMWARE ONLY!
I have removed the clear-to-stock theme as it seems like these reversion themes cause more problems than they solve since not everyone is using the same firmware.
ClearBar v1.0
This changes your notification bar to a rounded see-through bar and replaces several TouchWiz notification icons with heavily modified versions created by me. It also replaces the pull-down notification list with a modified version with a clear background.
This is a MetaMorph theme, so you will need to install MetaMorph from the Market and use it to apply this theme.
MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE APPLYING THIS THEME!
ClockworkMod Recovery is available for Galaxy S phones through the ROM Manager which is available in the Market. If you have not already, please install ROM Manager in order to flash ClockworkMod Recovery (completely safe) and create a nandroid backup before applying this theme. I am not responsible for any issues this theme causes. It works perfectly fine on my Vibrant, but no two phones are alike so your experience my differ.
Be sure to turn USB Debugging on before applying. For some reason, having debugging disabled causes MetaMorph to hang when applying the theme.
Feel free modify or incorporate this theme in part or whole in your own projects. I only ask that you give me some credit if you redistribute my work.

Looks nice, thanks for your work!!!
When I try to install it, it stays at "Applying framework-res.apk theme 1 of 1" in metamorph"
Do you know what I can do to fix this?
Very nice...thank you! It goes very well with my spinning galaxy live wallpaper. The only time I like the stock TW notification bar better is when I open the browser. The bar then looks light gray and there's not much contrast between your bar and the white font of the bar.
I tried the Evo black bar morph before trying yours and I couldn't get MM to do anything with the file after it would extract the zip. Yours on the other hand worked just fine...so, good job!

Do you have USB Debugging enabled? I noticed in the EVO bar thread that some people with this problem got it to work by enabling USB Debugging.

I actually used the EVO black bar morph as a template for mine (this is my first time ever making a MetaMorph theme), although I didn't use any of the actual artwork from it. I don't really know how this works for you when the black bar one won't, but I'm glad you're happy with it.

Would it possible to change the drop down portion to a translucent design as well. I used to have a clear notification area on my old mytouch and it looked great, so just speculating.

I'm not sure, but I've been thinking about doing that too. I'm still pretty new to making themes and there's a lot that I haven't figured out yet.
Works on my Captivate but you need to fix some images like stat_sys_signal_5.png that have some white left in the transparency background.
Thanks for pointing that out. There are quite a few things I want to fix and tweak before I make this a "finished" 1.0 release.

It looks like Android puts a second short notification bar behind the date in order to hide the notification icons in the area where the date appears. If I can somehow get rid of that bar, then the date will be displayed right on top of the icons and look pretty messy. I don't know if there's an alternate method of hiding those icons.
Very nice work. Using it full time now. Really fits in well with the rest of the system. I'm gonna see if I can make a solid variant -- the transparency doesn't play too well with white BGs.

[Theme] [Bugless] Pink Steel!

ATM I am going to stop updating this theme unless any other bugs appear or if fission is updated. I probably won't be coming out with other color updates because I don't have the free time to just work on theming, sorry. I will try and keep this theme updated so it works with all versions of fission though.
Update #2: Removed the gingerbread battery icon version because they had a weird background and I don't think that they are going to work and they don't fit the theme even when they are pink. I also updated the main theme to 2.6.1.
Update #3: Just added the new status bar color version. I am keeping the old one up also because in my opinion it looks better but some people are going to like the new one more.
Update #4: fixed menu color issues and changed the bootanimation ENJOY!. More updates to come tomorrow.
Update #5 *hitting head against wall with all of these updates* There shouldnt be any more bugs and I changed all of the app icons to the elegant steel style. I will continue to update this theme with vibrancy soon and I may change a bit more of the style.
Update #6 something went crazy and the last update so now it's all good
All bugs fixed and new BOOTANIMATION!
Thanks,
ljbaumer

Features:
I have included a few very unique features in this theme.
The first one of those features is the launcher2.apk
Launcher2 (stock launcher) is a custom version of the gingerbread launcher. It has 4 items in the dock at the bottom and an app launcher.
The app launcher in launcher2.apk is 3d by default! That means no launcherpro for your 3d app drawer
Also when you open the menu on the main homescreen you get 6 options instead of the stock 5. The added 6th option is a manage apps button (as shown in gingerbread) which takes you straight to the manager apps section in setting where you can stop running apps (like a task manager), uninstall apps or clear the data off of apps.
There are also some other features but I am pretty tired right now and I cannot remember any of them lol.

I really hate to say this and I am so sorry for saying it but the top bar doesn't really match the rest of the theme(looks a bit purple), plus I am having an issue with battery icon not being fully accurate(you think you can make it look like the Gingerbread battery but in pink that always worked more accurately for me). Now the highlighted pink color shown off is more of what I was looking for. But thank you for the hard work.
Maybe we should find a woman to be called the official D2 girl and use her as like a background option. lol
Ok... why don't you make the theme then? Or tell me how to make it? Jesus christ you guys are appreciative. (Sarcasm)

No, rush will be enjoying this one in the mean time. And if you can get the battery meter more accurate that would be a bonus as it seems to be a bit off for me(maybe a gingerbread style battery meter would be more accurate?). Or you can do the suggested changes for 2.6.1.
Anyway I can keep the icons stock color(or the ones I want), while using the rest of this theme the way it is?
Please add some more detail it is kind of hard for me to accomplish anything when you only right a sentance about what you want.

Ah, well my bad. Well I currently have this theme installed, but I wanted to know if there is a way to go back to the stock icon colors. Like would I have to change something in what section or something?
You would have to go into system/app and open each archive without unzipping it and edit the png for the icon.

Yes you would extraxt the original apks from fission and move their icons into each new apk which is supposed to be in an un-extracted archive.

[THEME] RipTide for modified stock ROM 3/14/2011

I take no credit for this theme other than the tedious porting and tweaking lol.
Original theme was made by Riptide9 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=727117
Theme includes many themed apps as well. Also has custom blue emoticons. Bottom dock is transparent and so is the top notification bar (but not the pull down).
This isn't an exact port. The battery in the orignal theme was a circle battery, I replaced that with a rectangle battery with fully functioning battery levels. Bottom dock isn't the same as the original either. Two versions available, one with a more standard dock and another with well, a messed up bottom dock (maybe someone will like it lol).
Changelog:
2/17 version 3: Corrected the bottom dock in landscape mode (its still a bit jagged but working on that). Also changed the background color in the notification drop down to dark blue (see pics below).
2/17 version 4: Blue circle battery (incorporates changes made in version 3 - see pics below).
2/19 version 5, 6, and 7: Version 5 is a dark blue notification bar (not transparent). Version 6 is a black notification bar (not transparent). Version 7 is a semi transparent black notification bar (matches bottom dock). All three new versions incorporate the circle battery mod and changes made in version 3 (see pics below).
2/23 lockscreen fix: single transparent arch (see pic below). Includes only the lockscreen fix so needs to be flashed over your choice of riptide versions. The drag to unlock section under the arch is a black square which looks a bit funny.
2/25 original battery for version 6. This will give you the original rectangle battery with the black top notification bar (v6). This update will not work on its own, flash over current version.
New! 3/14/2011 all versions now flashable with CWM 3.0.
Disclaimer:
I'm not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone.
Instructions:
Make a nandroid just in case. Use CWM 2.5 or 3.x to flash. Flash over a modified sense ROM (regular Sprint stock will not work). Flashing ROM then theme without booting first will result in boot loop. Flash ROM boot phone then flash theme.

Got that fixed for the most part in version 3
Version 4 available now with blue circle battery
Using theme 4 and everything is awesome except for the notification bar, when typing a url in the browser you can see 2 browser bars and when the bar switches to white on certain applications the clock can't be seen. Not to be that guy but I would like to see just a regular black bar with this theme.

That is the issue we run into with a clear notification bar. Ill make a new version without clear notification bar
Sent from my PG06100

Any other suggestions for this theme, let me know

Hmm, maybe on the lock bar if it could say EVO shift or something instead of HTC EVO, and the ability to have reboot options on the power menu, is that a part of a theme or would that need to be a part of a rom?
Edit: thx for version 6!
great job on the theme. downloading v4 right now im seriously considering tryin to get into themeing but have no idea where to begin.
awesome theme dread7. blue is my favorite color so this is perfect for me. have you thought about making one for the ladies. since so many guys on here have said they bout this phone for their girlfriend or wife. lol my girl got one but i didn't but for her she went and got it on her own before i even bought mine. but im sure she'd love an all pink theme or a red one. just know starting to get her to let me mess with her phone. and a theme for the females just might make her let me mess with it some more.

This theme does not include a clock in the notification bar, if you like your clock delete services.jar from /system/framework prior to flash.
Font featured is called Droidlogo and can be downloaded from an app called "Custom Android Font Switcher"
For best experience flash over your stock rom. If you wish to have the Themed version of launcher pro download the below attachment. First uninstall launcher pro from your phone then install the below file like you would any other .apk (click on it from with in your favorite file browser)
Looks great. I just saw on one of your screenshots there is white text on white.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I have noticed that as well, we will be fixing that in v2 as currently we are only able to get either white or black text everywhere, which messes up the menus. The menus as of right now are more important than the notification bar messages. (thus far this is the only noticeable issue with in the entire theme)
Works on Bionix 1.2.1. Can you link the wallpaper?
White market didn't install on bionix but other than that its looks amazing.
Looks great, probably just needs the newer Market.. I bet it's just updating. Great job, will test soon. It will be nice to see cyanogen's notification bar again, I miss the rounded look.
Why do I have to remove launcher pro? Its my favorite one. Looks really good! !

Thats because this theme is for Axura, you can likely get it to work by redoing the file structure or pulling the vending.apk from the zip and pushing to appropriate directory for bionix.

There's a newer version than 2.3.2 ?? I really need to read more. The only issue that i am currently aware of with the notification bar at this point is the white text upon notification. Hopefully this satisfies your desire for a more mature themes .

Because I HATE LPP , honestly i havent figured out why the flash doesnt work 100% of the time for LPP (those nasty vanilla folders clash horribly with the aesthetic).
If you all have any constructive suggestions for me please feel free, this is v1 I do plan on releasing updates with added goodies as my theming and coding knowledge base expands.
I didnt understand the need to remove LauncherPro either... Seems like Launcher2 is the way you want to go for the look/theme, but I cant see why a user could not opt for LP....
I included a themed version of Launcher Pro but for some reason when flashing it doesn't like the fact that lp is still there and doesnt over ride it. I can get the LP apk to install on its own as a standalone but not while flashing over the old lp. I'll update the op to be more clear

And the text message preview text is also white and on my phone there is small black specs in my upper right hand of the pulldown bar. Almost looks like its the first number of my clock cut off. Anyways kind of annoying to see. Any idea how to get rid of it ? I tried flashing twice but that didn't change it.

The specks are there intentionally, I wanted to give the notification bar a rounded appearance. I do know that the notification bar text is white, I havent had a chance to look into it yet, but from what i can tell its tied to the menu text color, which if we make that black is completely illegible, i may experiment with using a light grey text which would fix the issue, but at the time menu color was more important that the notification text color. Now as to the clock, are you flashing from stock axura or another theme? and what kind of clock did you want in your notification bar, standard the notification bar clock is removed.

LOL yea thats probably the cause then, if you could get a services.jar modified for no clock for trigger then copy and paste it to the system/framework directory it should fix that issue for you, i would attempt my hand at it but seeing as how i run axura i wouldn't feel comfortable posting something i havent personally tested. You could also try copying the services jar from stock Trigger into the same directory, that should work as well.

I might just flash axura to experience the full theme cuz my keyboard never changed nor did the market. I love the switch from the always dark colored themes to this one so I want the full experience lol. If you can keep this theme going with more and more customizing then it will be the most unique in my opinion

[THEME][1-5-2012] Ice Cream Sandwiz 1.1.1 for UnNamed 2.2.1

ON HOLD FOR NOW (PROBABLY INDEFINITELY) AS I'VE RELEASED A FULL ICS THEME HERE:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1446513
Yeah. Sandwiz. A project/hackjob I started working on for kicks and giggles since I've been on holiday break and because of the lack of a basic/subtle theme for UnNamed. Plus, I've been wanting to get more involved in the the community and thought I'd start here. So, I figured since my xml skills are limited to do a full ICS theme (but then again I don't think I would want to work with a limited color pallete), I figured I would try and Touchwizify Ice Cream Sandwich. Plus, I would like to be more active in creating my own images in places where I can than copy and paste everything. Can't claim this to be 100% original as a lot of the work can be cited:
Many, many thanks to these folks!
ssconceptz port of Overstew's ICS Theme
Jivy for helping me mod the progress bars/sliders I never ended up using and some pngs from his own theme
FEATURES
Enables CRT off animation and true connection mods for UnNamed
Battery percentage with ICS battery
Roboto font changes - System, lockscreen, digital clock widget
ICS icons - Phone, Contacts, MMS, Browser, custom applications/home icon for Touchwiz Launcher
Transparent Samsung Accuweather widget
Notification shade - redid toggles and their background, transparent notifications background
ICS color progress bars/slides or something
Modified dialer/phone - Custom buttons, call-out animations, ICS contact default icons, other stuff?
Custom data icons - changed to be more in line with the theme - blue download color, light grey upload color, flat colored data type text
ICS signal, wifi, battery and some other indicators
I don't remember
TO-DO
That ugly/stuttery green indeterminate progress bar
Suggestions???
Code:
[b][u]CHANGELOG:[/u][/b]
[b]1.1.1[/b]
Some systemui changes
Blue status bar text (clock, date)
[b]1.1[/b]
Custom dialer buttons - just flattened them out and made them more sharp
Custom notification pull-down bar
Changed notification bar color overlay for when in-call
ICS contact icons
I think that was it?

Revert- yeah it still says theme in the script when you flash but I am really that lazy - or flash UnNamed again without wiping
Nice work I'm sure this will make a lot of people happy. There has been a need for an updated ICS like theme for UnNamed.

Awesome work.
Thank you so much! This is exactly what I wanted. Combined with ics dialer 3.0 this is awesome. Only thing I would like added is for the wifi & signal bars to be the same color as the battery.
EDIT: Also, I use launcher pro, and was wondering how I could go about getting the ICS app drawer icon for my dock?

It's a bit different. I worked on the contacts, phone, and systemui apks to change the phone icon, minor dialer stuff, and data icons for the notification bar. You could flash right over what you have now, as that's what I've been doing nonstop whenever I make a change

Thanks so much for the icon, and for this theme...you don't even know how happy I am, it looks awesome. What do you mean when connected to Google? I just want my grey wifi signal and signal strength icons in the status bar to match the blue battery icon. Also would it be possible to put the battery % on the battery like gtg did with the stock green one with unnamed?
Another thing...I'm using your theme with ice dialer, and was wondering if you could theme the SMS app so when you slide left or right on the contact to call or text them the color matches the blue that shows in the phones app contact list?

For signal and wifi icons, the way Gingerbread and ICS has them on is that they are grey when there is normal connection, but then green for Gingerbread and the blue and ICS when you are connected to Google servers to sync (which I think is all the time for most people).
I'll have to look into that, it's an easy fix whenever I dive back into the contacts/phone and sms apps.
I might get the percentage done tomorrow, I don't look forward to editing the 100 battery icon files, but I know it has to be done sometime

Im new to Android myself, but I think the icons are green when connected to to the network...Google sync has nothing to do with it. Stock vanilla GB & ICS have green & blue icons when connected to the network. With GB on the gs2 Samsung decided to make the icons grey all the time.
And as far as the battery % on the battery icon maybe you could get permission to use jivy's icons from his ICScrewed theme/ROM since that is exactly what I'm talking about.
Can't wait for the SMS theme!
Thanks again!

Beats me, I guess I've been seeing different theories. But then I just found (http://static.googleusercontent.com...lp/hc/pdfs/mobile/AndroidUsersGuide-2.3.4.pdf page 27):
Status icons
The following icons indicate the status of your phone. To learn more about the
different kinds of mobile networks, see “Connecting to networks and devices” on
page 57.
Network status icons turn green if you have a Google Account added to your phone
and the phone is connected to Google services, for syncing your Gmail, Calendar
events, contacts, for backing up your settings, and so on. If you don’t have a Google
Account or if, for example, you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network that is not connected
to the Internet, the network icons are white.

Last sentence is weird but whatever it is, it's an easy add-on
Last time I checked, jivy doesn't use any actual ICS icons, just ones styled like them. And they are pretty huge compared to the ones I am using. I already have a battery icon set that Vertumus uses for his theme (seen here), but that one I feel is way too overwhelming for phone use (I do use it on my Galaxy Tab 10.1) and I would rather make my own just to have it be mine and not more stuff copied from others .

Maybe that is the case with vanilla GB, but on the gs2 the icons are grey all the time, even when syncing.
As for the battery icon, would you be able to do one like the one that comes with unnamed just make it ICS blue?

Which is why I left them grey for this theme. They just used the same icons for connected and fully connected states instead of two different (grey and colored) ones.
Gonna start the battery percentage icons now
