Is there a way to go back to 00 after o2 update?

I have a UK Unlocked 00 model streak. I know if i use the current update it changes the model to 21. is there a way to go back to 00 or it will be stuck at 21 model. The reason for me asking is that if there is an official update from dell for our devices 00, will there be a way to revert back to that or no. Thanks

The Answer i have come up with is NO i have been trying for 6 days to do the same their is no problem going from 1.6 to 2.1 back to 1.6 a dozen times but it still has a baseband of 21
The nearest i have got is to put a nandroid backup of 4339 00 device over a 02 device ROM but it still keeps the baseband at 21 what is needed is a stock recovery for 00 devices like Paul made for the 02 devices
Id also like to do this but I need to go back to 00 for the AT&T Beta devices. I'm currently on 21 from leaked O2 2.1 beta update. Any suggestions or has anyone done this?

And what exactly is the problem of running 21 baseband?
I mean that 00 baseband is the original one with no modification from 02 or an other operator.
But it is just my own opinion

You can always check http://mobileupdate.dell.com/LatestBuild/LatestBuild_00.html by yourself.
I see Dell is updating 00 to 6267.
I mean that this package doesn't works on baseband 21 because it is for baseband 00.
Actually, I have baseband 21 and I want to go back on baseband 00 for some issues.
So, I install the package for baseband 00 on my streak, It doesn't work, isn't it ?
I'm sorry, but I don't understand you.

we shouldn't talk about baseband but device type ... The 21 type is the O2 type. As soon as you flash a recovery (and after a firmware) for a O2 device you can't flash again a firmware for your device type (00 = european unlocked). The only way to flash again a firmware for your device type is to first flash a recovery for your device type. Untill now there is not any recovery for 00 device type.
OK. Now I get it.
So one should first dump recovery partition before going with an upgrade.
It's very easy.

Could you elaborate? Because it WFM
Pls advise how it is possible to do recovery for 00 device....have such device bought in France recently.

thanks
Why does this subject of returning from baseband 21 (O2 Device) to baseband 00 (Dell Direct Unlocked) - always end up in no solution in most threads I have come across?
I had a Delldirect purchased baseband 00 device
fastbooted and installed O2 2.1 official ROM
The objective of returning to baseband 00 for me would arise if I wanted to get my device back to factory conition for warranty purposes. or alternatively if Dell introduces their own official upgrade to 2.1 - (no O2) I's like to revert back to that or even 1.4 (build 4399) - for various reasons.
So finally, is there a way I can do that - is someone looking for a solution - of do I have a device which I have deliberately screwed up because now there is no recovery image for moving from baseband 21 to 00 ?
Can someone please outline the process in one single post so all of us who have a dell direct device and moved from 1.6 4399 to O2's 2.1 official - can find our way back?
Preety please?
Why don't you read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=778290 ?

[Q] Recovery for 1.6 6267 00?

Is there someone who's got the stock recovery for 6267 unlocked streaks? if i understand correctly the only way to flash the next rom after i update with the 02 2.1 is to revert back to the original recovery? does this file exist?
kinda new to android and i'm really not sure of what i'm doing, don't wanna end up bricking my streak or getting stuck with the 02 branded 2.1 forever...

[Q] - [RESOLVED] - Went from U20a Model to U20i on Build 2.1.1.A.06 with Baseband....

EDIT!!::::
Ok so First of my x10 mini pro was default and its model was U20a, its Build was 2.0.A.0.504 and the baseband was 06...
I then tried bits and peices of things and finally managed to change the model to U20i and have the build change to 2.1.1.A.06 and have the same baseband by using a custom downloaded backup file through xrec...
i couldnt figure out how to get the baseband to XXXXXXX015 so i tested my luck on the flasher that was here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10879507#post10879507
So after a few tries it works
----
will report bugs and problems soon....

Ok So.
Here is the story, i am trying to get my x10 Mini Pro to run this here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1051678
It is the ROM called: [ROM] Cyanogen Froyo - CM6 latest sources (Version 2.1) fast and stable + Dual Touch
Ok so i know i need to get my baseband to end with 015 so here is my information.
Model Number: U20a
Firmware Version: 2.1-update1
Baseband version: M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404006
Kernel Version: 2.6.29 [email protected] #1
Build Number: 2.0.A.0.504
So i tried using SEUS to get my version to be 2.1.1.A.06 so my baseband would be xxxxx015
BUT when i tried updating it said that there is no available updates and that my x10 mini pro is up to date...
Also i live in Queensland in Australia...
---
So how do i manage to get the ROM to run for me if i can not update/flash to that baseband/build... i have tried to follow this here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1040149
But i can not get the flasher to be downloaded, it seems the link is broken of the download has been removed...
If anyone could give me something to work with here, even just ideas and or tips i would be happy, atm i am testing to restore using a 2.1.1.A.06 Build Version Backup... Its working so far, havent rebooted yet...
Ok i had that backup finish, and i am at 2.1.1.A.06 now but my baseband is still the same... *beep* (cursing under breath xD)
Cant find a damn sure fire way to flash the correct baseband... maybe i can find a way for a U20i model version since the previous backup which used the 2.1.1.A.06 build....
Going on a search to see if its easier to flash the 015 baseband
Ok cant seem to find anyway to get the correct baseband version flashed over my model is now U20i, the Build is 2.1.1.A.06 but the baseband is still Baseband version: M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404006
I guess that restoring from a restore save wont change the baseband version maybe... but im not sure... my default is stil u20a and is still 2.0.A.0.504
I hate not knowing what to do lolxD
So I have not had any luck in figuring out what to do about my baseband problem but i was playing around with the restore from the custom backup and i found 2.1.1.A.06 to be faster and more responsive than 2.0.A.0.504...
Just about to fix up a personal save of that custom so i have my default and the custom.
Now to wait for someone to help... All i need is to be able to get the Baseband version:M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015 onto my x10 mini pro, instead of its M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404006...
So for you guys again, my baseband is M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404006 for my 2.0.A.0.504 backup and is also M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404006 for the new 2.1.1.A.06 custom backup. For the 2.0.A.0.504 which is my default build number for my default backup, the Model is U20a...
For my custom the Model is shown as U20i.
I have a U20i_2.1.1.A.06_Baseband etc etc file from someone on xda which is as a 7z file and i have no clue what to do now... help plz.......
X10 Mini Pro 2.1 incl. Flashtool
or
[FLASHTOOL GUIDE] HOW TO for n00bies
Ok so i now i have the rom running fine i think on my x10 which was default with the settings firstly stated, i then used a custom back up of 2.1.1.A.06 which gave my phone the U20i model and the needed 2.1.1.A.06 Build
i then found that the baseband could not be implimented properly through a backup and i therefore needed to flash it, my first many attempts failed greatly and i had no clue i then used this guide here and the latest version of the flasher http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10879507#post10879507
i did not think it would work and to my surprise it did
Ok So far i have found that since i am on 3G i have no way to actually utilize the PHONE aspect of it, and i have also had something go wrong with the draw dock type thing... it wont bring up all of the apps now...
so its not that big of a deal, so atm its good, i have the u20i and the correct build and baseband so yay
but anyway, i still have my default backed up, i have the previous version backed up and the CM6 ROM version so i think that this is all good
although i wish i could get a nice rom which is 3G compatible, and oh oh oh! my cousin can get 4G speeds and still cant get 3G xD
Ok so after some tinkering and some searching and ****, i have found that the baseband is now 015 for all my backups... i will have to find baseband and kernel to flash to my device that will return it to 06
If i had the time to learn how i would see about an all in 1 sort of program which holds all basebands and its coupled builds... it would also root and instal xrecovery etc as other options and that will be about all xD but meh xD

How did you get to U20i? I actually have to do the opposite! Can you guide me through going from U20i to U20a??? I have read so much my brain is beginning to melt but I'm just not getting anywhere! :crying:
I need something in U20a to enable options in the baseband so it will work in Canada. I bought the stupid thing on eBay and didn't realize there were 2 versions of this phone.

[Q] 02 UK update question

Good afternoon all,
a bit of help please, searching these forums for my answer has simply confused me ...
I have a locked Streak;
2.1-update1,
baseband GAUSB1A120321-EU,
kernel 2.6.29-perf,
build number 6941
I have SIM unlocked the phone using dellstreakunlock.exe successfully.
When I try to upgrade via settings>about phone>system updates I get directed to a dead link - update.zinstaging.com
!) CAN I upgrade this firmware to a standard Dell Froyo 2.2 ROM ?
2) If so can someone please post the link I would need to put into my streak's browser?
Much appreciated ...
Dave in Catshill
there are links all over the place to the offiicial o2 froyo build.
try http://mirror2.streakdroid.com/manii/Streak_319_12792_21.pkg
that is the official build.
Thank you for the link ... however, on advice I attempted a manual upgrade from the Streak by entering the OTA link into my browser ...
I now have a bricked Streak.
I have attempted recovery techniques from Modaco, but the Streak only shows the Dell Logo and after a few seconds a blank black screen with just the buttons lit.
Can I upgrade to another 21 pkg from this situation? Would it be better to downgrade to an earlier 21 pkg from the Wiki page?
My question is ... do I need to download the recovery software or the pkg? Upgrade or downgrade?
Sorted ... flashed 1.6 recovery image using flashboot which got me going again, and once working the auto update process started leaving me with a fully operational streak running 2.2.2

New(ish) NTT Rom: 328

Recently kibuuka recieved a new V, and it just so happened that it was loaded with 328.
With the info he has provided, I have apparently found that 328 is also available as a pkg.
Thunder_328_19208_16.pkg
Rom details:
Android 2.2.2/FRG83G
Build date: Fri Aug 26 20:54:27 CST 2011
Dell Stage 1.6
Region: 16 (NTT com)
There is no real reason to install this, this is merely an informational post.
The rom itself is over a year old, but it was previously unknown to us.
What abt the recovery for this rom? Can we use 325 or 328 recovery is available
Sent from my Dell Venue using xda app-developers app
No, they are the wrong regions.
I'll upload the matching recovery later, I merely havnt had the chance to get around to it.
<Dev Host>\Venue\328
Decrypted pkg and generated recovery image for it.
I dont recommend installing this if you are currently on a rom that has no pkg to return to.
Doubly I dont recommand installing it period, it's not a generic region rom like 00/30.
