media player.. - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

any substitute for our dear music player? im not really impressed with the player we hve right now.. i am looking for something that can have playlist on it so that i can choose just the right song for the right time.. thanks!
[apk files and screenshots is very much appreciated]

I use doubleTwist, it works great. You can also download the doubleTwist desktop program (aka iTunes for Android) to sync media to your phone.

I'm using Btunes, the clone of iphone music player..

nice nice.. both are great.. thanks guys..

I recommend "3" or "Cubed" (it's the same) or RockOn. And they are free.
Cubed/3: http://abrantix.org/3.php
Rock On: http://abrantix.org/rockon.php

u can create mu3 playlist with any program with the songs on your sd card on your pc, save it on your card and the media player on your phone will have it

gee thanks... thats too many options for me..

i've settled with mixzing after trying doubletwist and btunes. the best match for my needs as it can add all songs from the same genre into the now playing list.
you can download an older version (which is ad free) from brothersoft, if you don't need the funky capabilities of the latest verison (e.g. equalizer)

I am losing hope to find good player for android...
Does anyone know some good player for android? I tested few and none of them fits my expectations. Until now i was listening videos and music on Play Station Portable, that player was just perfect (only playlist option and it would be totally perfect).
I need a player that can browse videos and music through folders (not showing all folders in one place, it is useless, but just folder explorer), and it should play videos. And should have ability to repeat music and videos also.It is all that i need, but everywhere are just useless aplications... I have found PlayerPro, it was quite good...
but for music only. videos was still packed all in one window, without even folders.
I have x10 mini pro, with 2.1-update1 android (it is impossible to update it on my phone T_T)
I am stuck, i do not want to take phone and psp with me everyday. Android is computer, they said...... ehh... I can even pay for good app, becouse i have no choice. Thank You very much.
(btw, what is the reason developers do thing like this? Why not use same interface for videos, or why not to browse files just by folders? i will never get it...)

When i had this x10 mini, i used Uber music

And also i liked Playerpro

It's also good Zplayer

[Q] Music Player Alternative

Was wondering if there is a music player app alternative to the original Vibrant music player. The current player picks up all the sound tracks to installed games and plays it along with real songs.
Or: Is it possible to set a designated folder (sd/Music for example) to be the only place the music player app looks at and adds to the library.
thanks in advance
http://androinica.com/2009/08/28/ho...iles-from-appearing-in-android-media-players/
i did that and it made and put it in one of the games folders, worked great, if only i could get the not enough space in music database error to go away, built in music would be golden for me
mixzing. fantastic player. and you can designate the folder that it should look for media in, just as you describe.
i just sold my dedicated mp3 player (32gb sony walkman /oled screen) after test driving this for two weeks. i ended up purchasing it because of all the extra features it has (tagging, scrobbling, etc, plus the lock screen widget).
The free version is still very, very good IMHO

Music player that reads folders. .

Hello guys,
I have been looking for a music player that can go thru folders and able to add a particular song to a playlist that doesn't require opening the file.
Or as an alternative, an app like astro but with a music option to add an mp3 to a playlist.
Ny suggestions guys? Thanks a lot guys.
Nim
PowerAmp reads folders (or your library) and can add songs to a playlist by long pressing on the song.
If you want an app that builds playlists on the phone try Playlist Builder.
Mortplayer i think is what your looking fkr
1887 ~ 1.152 / Streakdroid 1.5.3
Thank you guys for the replies.
PowerAmp sounds really good. I will try that as soon as I get a 2.2 update..
BrockFerens:
Thanks for the app recommendation but I can't add playlist with a long press. I will be keeping it though because atleast I can play a song inside a full folder. I am currently organizing all my MP3s and make main folders by genre and inside will be sub-folders of artists, and inside those sub-folders will be the songs. I am also editing the MP3 tags.
Thank you guys a lot.. These 2 players makes me a happy man. =)
If you use Windows I recommend Mp3Tag and if you want to create some playlists with your PC try Playlist Creator.
Thanks for the recommendation but mp3tag has no way to import tags but it can export tags in excel file though. I found a windows based program that is pretty powerful and can import and export, just can't think of the name right now.
Thanks again guys. I have been using mortmusic player for the last 5 days and I love this app even without making a playlist. The way I am organizing my mp3s I probably wouldn't need playlist anyway..
Have you tried Mixzing? I got it recently looking for something that would play by folder, since all my music is meticulously organized by folder even though many don't have artist or album tags of any kind. Most music players split up all my organizing to try to re-organize by album or artist, which doesn't work for me.
Mixzing works great for me, so far. And it goes out and downloads album and artist info if I want it to.
I downloaded MortPlayer to try, too, but I just haven't gotten around to playing with it much.
My mp3 music is organized the same as yours and I want to play music by folders and sub-folders. Mp3 tags just doesnt work for me. I played with mixzing before with my HTC evo but never really satisfied with it hence why I was still looking. Atleast for now, mortplayer is keeping me happy.

[APP REQEUST] The perfect music app for X10 mini

Dear devs,
I have a little problem and hoped someone could help me out.
I have searched all over for a music player with a nice widget for smaller screens, and now I have finally find one.
Its actually the official gingerbread android music app(search the market for gingerbread music. Its actually (almost) the same one as provided in slades rom.
Only there is one problem:
The shuffle and repeat buttons dont fit on the small screen, but in the one from slades rom they do.
So my question is could someone recompile slades music with the widget from the on provided bellow? This would be freaking sweat cause than I can call my phone 'perfect'. I will attached both players below.
Thanks in advance!
Gr, Matthijs

Try these other apps instead:
PlayerPro (market, paid)
Google Music 3.0 (market, free)
Winamp (market, free)
TuneWiki (market, free)
Songbird (market, free)
RealPlayer (market, free)
DoubleTwist (market, free)
cubed (market, free,[its name is the cubed symbol])
and there's a lot more that I haven't thought of at the time of writing.
Best music player so far is PowerAMP...its worth the buy, still you can try demo from the market its time limited, dunno for how many days Best player from all of them, best performance, built in EQ, supports BT headsets got a separate widget pack that is ideal for the mini, easy to use, tag support, etc.. The best one for me and i have tried about 20 different music players...
http://www.powerampapp.com/
Give it a try...
Yeah, the most recommended
Google music, simple but effective
Winamp is my choice..
do any of those support changing music tracks by using the headphone's button? because i really miss that. its annoying to have to unlock the phone to change tracks while i am running
Winamp does. You might need to check a box in the app settings. "control with headphones" or something like that. I like winamp, except it's a little heavy on the battery. The wifi-sync with desktop-winamp is great though!

hm.. will try it then. thanks!
I'd just like a music player with a full set of lockscreen controls.
left button: previous track
Middle: play/pause
right button next track
and a search bar on the screen itself to search songs in the library.
ALL lockscreen!!
Try UBERMUSIC! is a beta but is working pretty well is theme based and it is awesome
Astro Player is the best! It's playing music directly form a folder, making alphabetic playlist from songs in a folder and updates the playlist automaticaly when songs are added later inside the folder.
Real player perfect ^^

music player

3d/cubed....pretty cool!

Nice find, looks good so far. I haven't found a music player that I really liked yet, hopefully this is the one.
Amazing!

Player Pro does this.
Agreed +1 on player pro (current player with sense skin)
Also use the folder option as well...so that option won me over entirely
I think there is like one more player that offers a folder option (trust me I went through them ALL) but cant think of it to save my life...might of been miui player??? idk?? dont hold me to it...
I think Mixing had folder option as well. I started using Player Pro a couple years ago and never looked back.
It's good but i prefer poweramp

It has a nice interface, but messing with the EQ too much causes it to hang. And if music is playing, you can't control it in any way, the only solution is to force close the app.
I usually just use Amazon MP3 to play music. The stock Blur player leaves a lot to be desired, and Google Music doesn't (seem to?) differentiate between cloud and local playback. With Amazon MP3 it's real easy. Plus, I buy music from them and I've ripped and uploaded my CDs to their cloud (and to Google's, it's nice to have options, heh). It isn't a great player, but it's reliable. And while I enjoy music, I don't play it on my phone often enough to need a fancy player.
But, thanks for the link, it was fun to try out.

Basic music player

I'm looking for suggestions for a basic music player ie one that plays MP3's and playlists. I don't need any streaming radio stations, I don't need music suggestions, I don't want it to use data, all I want is a basic music player. Native playlist creation would be a nice feature too. For some reason, even though all my music is on my phone (actually external SD), Play Music sometimes tells me something is not available in "downloaded only" mode.
Thanks.
Eric
vanilla music is pretty nice. you could also try shuttle if you want something a little less simple.

Both of those look great. Thanks!
Been using Poweramp (paid) for years. IMO the only way to go (until we see what foobar brings to the table).
Shuttle looks good. The free version does not have folder browsing or native playlist creation, but those aren't deal breakers.
