FAQ:
- Q: Is there a way to improve battery life?
A: Use the shortest delay power/battery settings to turn the screen off; Turn on Automatic light sensor; Lower screen brightness on battery; Use a program like LUMOS to tune to your liking.
- Q: Does the included dialer have video call?
A: No. This only includes the WM dialer for non-manila builds, and a non-video dialer for manila. You should be able to find a video call dialer to install via cab on XDA. Pyrorob has been known to port some of the WVGA dialers to VGA...
- Q: How to I add/change quick links on the Today Screen with Easy Launcher?
A: Navigate to Settings folder, and select Home, then switch to Items tab, next to EasyTodayLauncher plugin selector, is an options button that will allow these changes.
- Q: How do I change the physical keyboard to either Touch Pro or Fuze configuration?
A: In the Tools folder, the Profuze Keyboard Settings program will get the job done.
- Q: Can I change the SMS theme back to stock microsoft?
A: This cab has been reported to do the trick.
- Q: Nitrogen generates a skin error the first time I launch it. Is this normal?
A: Yes. It will launch normally the second time you try - with no error.
HotFixes:
- 21916/23144 and earlier only. Symptom = slow typing response sms/mms. Apply this cab, and reset when it asks.
- 21916/23138 builds, the TodayClock will pop an error if parts of the clock area are pressed on the touchscreen. Copy attached config (txt) file to TodayClock directory in Program Files to fix. You can modify to your own preferences too. Currently, this will launch the system clock settings on the left 1/3rd of the screen, the calendar if the middle area is pressed, and contacts if the right is pressed.
Addons/Recommended:
For those that like the HTC Dialer...
1. Pyrorob's VGA ported HTC Phone Canvas
For those that like the htc keyboards and are not running my manila build...

2. Also, 2.1 here more recently, by Mr. Hyami
3. EZ-Input 1.5 here by DupinBJK.

Good work
Chef,
That's an impressive piece of work!!! I kinda like the plain simple home/today screen interface. Are you planning on cooking a 21xxx series version of your ROM?

Thanks! I just might cook that series too... Do you have a favorite taskbar for that series? I've been on COM5 and COM3 builds for so long, I have not scoped out a nice taskbar that works for those build series.

21xxx series version of your ROM
We would love to see a 21xxx series cooked by you. I personally prefer this taskbar
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=511671
But ultimately it's your choice chef!!!

Does this rom support video call?
You rom likes great.
Thanks.

Testing COM2-21916 build.
Threaded email will not be a part of this ROM since it has not been developed for this AKU.
Everything else seems very compatible. If testing goes fine, will upload later today.

As far as video call goes, since I have only installed the WM dialer, there is no video call on that dialer.
You can install one of the HTC video call dialers from cab and let me know if it works (it should).

COM2 build is up - 21916.
Enjoy!

Error opening a shortcut....
Chef,
Nice work again!!
I noticed a bug with both the versions. Clicking either the hour or minutes on the today screen throws an error message "Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename". Am I doing something wrong?

That's part of the TodayClock configuration capability. You can set it to launch any program you want. I don't believe I've set it to anything other than what the developer initially configured it to. Follow the link to the developer page to learn how to set it to your preference.

HTH.....
Here's a modified txt config file to fix the bad links on the TodayClock... Just go to Program Files/TodayClock and overwrite the one in there. This will be included in the next ROM update.

=D
Seems like quite a nice rom although I would have preferred it with sense 2.5/6 (I know thats kind of the opposite of your rom design but yeah.) I did notice the battery life was quite bad. The rom itself is very fast loads the windows folder really quickly =) Opera runs really well on WI-FI no lags or anything like when listening to music at the same time like I get on some roms. If this had sense I would probably keep it but I kind of have gotten used to sense. Good work though mate congratz =) You did better than me I cant even cook a rom properly for my touch pro sense never works and screws up lol...

Sense is nice, but there are so many excellent chefs cooking it, it seemed no need for more.
I've enjoyed NRGZ28, TAEL, and CaptainThrowbacks ROMs with Sense versions -and they are really good.
For battery life, one program I can recommend is Lumos.
Otherwise, there are many posts out there on optimizations - which all trend around minimizing screen backlighting, and the amount of idle time before the device turns the screen off.

Working on COM3 23139 ROM today...
Hope to have it up soon.

Build 23139 is up. No changes other than updated config file for TodayClock and newer 23139 base.
Enjoy!

Good so far. How do we add program shortcuts to the today screen?

Looks Good
I loaded this ROM yesterday and it runs nice, pretty smooth. The only issue I have is that the physical keyboard is not right. I have the European version with the dedicated number row on the top and I am guessing that this ROM has the config for the ATT version where you have to use Function for the numbers. There are a few other differences as well.
Do you have a fix for this. I did not see any settings to change this as I believe I have in some other ROM's. Any help would be great.

The settings are located in the Settings folder, select Home, and select the plugin - the options button will become selectable. Pretty easy to use and adjust. Have fun!

Want higher volume?
I incorporated a slight volume increase in the rom. If its still not loud enough for you then unzip the audiopara3.zip file and use total commander or resco to copy this file into windows folder overwriting the old one. It will drastically increase volume. You will not be able to turn your device clear up
I am not responsible if you play your device too loud.
If you decide you dont like it just delete it and your device will revert to the old one.
The original file was created by Jscepi2005 I just edited a few things

I had 7 last ROM and it worked out perfect.
Compact QWERTY issue?
Feels much faster than v2!
I'm getting that weird deal with Compact QWERTY keyboard where it always produces numbers - have had this occur before with NATF v2.3. I think there must be a conflict with something else I've installed, like Pocket Plus or PIE Plus. I'm going to hard reset and try using Compact QWERTY before installing anything else.
YES!
xda was down all day yesterday and I was sad, but now I'm thrilled t o try this
AND AN ARCADE CAB?
man christmas came early
I'll actually be entertained on my trip tomorrow!
how's the battery drain with this version?
Anyone flashed this rom and testing it already?
By the way,it looks nice

Was still getting the Compact QWERTY numbers only, immediately after a Hard Reset, then went into SIP Touch Input Settings and ticked Spell Correction, and Word Completion in both T9 and ABC, and now Compact QWERTY produces letters when I want letters!

Dropdown boxes
Dropdown box doesn't drop down in Spb Backup v2.0.1. Dropdown boxes work properly in Phone Settings, so I assume that Spb Backup has a problem (and this is the latest version) - it exhibited this same behavior in NATF v2.3 but worked correctly in RRE v2Final, and in NATF v2.2.
Installed Spb Pocket Plus next, and it exhibits this same strange behavior - dropdown box won't drop down when attempting to add items - can use D-pad down to scroll to next item in dropdown box however.

There are several known issues with the newer bases and spb products. SPB diary does the same thing. SPB is aware of it and working on the issue.
flashing it now, can't wait
i'll post any initials quirks i might find lol
EDIT: 62% battery icon transparency issue is still present
EDIT2: aww you removed the power button map to psShutXP? just when i was getting used to it lol. is there a cab to reinstall that map?
EDIT3: nevermind, i extracted it from v2FINAL (hope you don't mind arup). I've attached it to this post in case anyone else is missing it
Very nice rom. It is very stable and fast so far. Thanks for the hard work aruppenthal.
found another few things:
- under the weathers tab, when you go to settings, the 2 possible options appear blank (only the check boxes are visible). The words don't become visible until you actually press the option. It's the same thing if you go to the settings tab and select "Data" (for downloading weather data)
- calendar view bug is still present, but the calendar tab solves the problem
but so far, very fast (it was really laggy initally after the flash and hard reset, but a couple soft resets fixed it right up)
All I can say is THANK YOU aruppenthal.
I have tried most of the other roms for the Fuze and as far as I'm concerned none come close to what you have put together. The speed and usability of V2 made the phone a pleasure to use and if V3 is of no improvement, which I know won't be the case, and the few minor bugz are fixed it would be perfect!!
The Mediafire is a nice touch, the speed is no comparison to rapidshare.
And lastly throwing in the addons, what more could anyone ask for?.?
Again. THANK YOU

[ROM]WWE|Chrome 21042 RC2|2 New Hybrid builds|Full Notifications in 20771!!

This is the newest ROM in the Chrome series. It has all of the bells and whistles. It is built using SYS/XIP from Topaz build 21042, and some extra parts from various builds to make it the best that it can be Thanks to all the cooks here for their dedication to providing excellent ROMs and sharing information. And thanks to everyone else who has provided skins and software. If you would like your name included here, PM me and I will gladly add it.
Please READ and do your research before flashing any ROM to your device.
THIS ROM IS FOR GSM ONLY!!
Update: 5/12/09. Added new Hybrid builds. I have gotten the Notification Manager to work on 20771 FULLY. This means we have icons in a build lower than 21xxx This also means we lose the option to choose snooze time. It will be same layout as newer builds LSK=Snooze RSK=Dismiss I am trying to find the solution to having snooze options in newer builds, but need help.
The second hybrid is with snooze option but no icons. Both builds are using 20771 SYS(except OS folder) and 21042 XIP. I can post some screens tomorrow hopefully. Just wanted to get it out there to get some feedback. PLEASE NOTE: This is also for testing purposes to see how the ROM performs as a hybrid build. Report back on battery life, speed, etc. IMPORTANT: This ROM comes with TP2 keyboard, which is known to have some bugs. It is possible to use this without too many issues though. Here's a quick guide:
-When entering number fields, the keyboard stays in number mode. You must open opera and just enter the ur field to get QWERTY back. With XT8 enabled, the hardware keyboard is slightly buggy, but working. Everything works except FN. There is a trick to it. You have to hit FN, then DEL(backspace), then FN and your good to go for a while. I have included shortcuts in tweaks for enable/disable XT9. Please refrain from posting keyboard bugs, but if you really like the ROM and need another Keyboard I can put one in later.
Download: Snooze version has no icon, but Right soft key menu. Icons version has icons but no menu for snooze. I will add more info tomorrow, but I got to get to bed. The upload should be done soon.
UPDATE: 5/5/09. Added RC2 with font fix as well as added some applications.
Additional Apps in RC2 and 20771 Hybrid TEST builds
-Facebook v.16...................-Netflix(will be cab next time round)
-cleanRAM..........................-Total Commander
-Google Translator...............-Chess
Note for RC2, I may have left the shortcuts from my personal build in programs tab. Just remove them and replace wth your programs.
Note for TEST build: See post 4 for more details.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
You will find the ROM is already tweaked, fixed, setup and whatever. No need to go adding unneeded tweaks and fixes to it. Please use the ROM for a while before ading any software or additional fixes. You may just find that the things you usually do with another ROM is not necessary here. I have increased cache sizes, applied almost every tweak that will improve performance and battery, and cooked in a variety of programs. As this is an RC1 release, please leave feedback so that we can make it better.
You will find that this build does use a bit more RAM than previous Chrome ROMs. The pagepool is set higher to get the most from the device. It is not locked, and can easily be changed.

Any suggestions are welcome(this includes skins), but just because you suggest something does not mean it will end up in ROM. I am trying to make a fast stable ROM with most of my apps cooked in to make it easy on myself. Just decided to share this version because I thought it was cool.

Select your poison. ROMs should be named accordingly. I will not direct link here, this gives you the chance to see other ROMs as well as daily builds when available. I will also start to upload add-ons to skinzone for easy access.
EDIT: Temporary Mirror for No Manila build
I noticed a lot of downloads in previous version, but only posts from 3-4 people. If you like the ROM, let me know so I can continue to make more. It is kind of rude to download someone's hard work and not even give a thank you. If you have a problem with anything, I am always willing to help get things straightened out. That said, ENJOY the ROM.
If you like my hard work and would like to donate you can donate to Skinzone here, or XDA-Developers here. And if you really like it, you can buy my wife something to get her off my back here . Any of these are welcomed, but not necessary. This is a hobby for me, and I enjoy it most of the time. My wife on the other hand does not
Bugs and Changelog
rc1
-Calendar text does not show double digits. This is due to the last minute addition of Helvetica 55 font. This was to fix the odd font change in USB to PC popup. I will look into the registry for a better fix, but for now the attatchd cab will replace the new font with Tahoma renamed to overwrite it. Best to disable TF3D(though not sure if it will matter) and make sure to soft reset after installing.
HYBRID CHANGELOG:
-Build is based on 20771
-Using XIP from 21042, some OS files from 21042, shell32.exe from 21042
-Added shortcut in utilities for SSMaHo used for mapping TF3D to different programs.
-Added TP2 Keyboard. This has a few known bugs, but is usable. If you like the hybrid builds and want a different keyboard, let me know. This is for anyone that likes the TP2 keyboard, but doesn't want 2 SIP menus popping up. XT9 is disabled by default for hardware kb to work fully. I included shortcuts in tweaks to enable/disable XT9. With XT9 enabled, there is a trick to getting FN keys working. You have to press FN then backspace. After that, you can use FN keys without issue. If you enter a number field and can not change back to QWERTY just open Opera and enter the url field. Somehow Opera knows how to fix this.
-Updated Facebook to newest official release, Added latest release of Skyfire Browser, Added Chess game.
-PagePool set to 20MB
-New taskbar from BilboBrian changed a bit by me. Includes black folder icons, and new settings icons.
-As stated before, Notifications working fully w/Icons in Icons build. There are no icons in second build, but you do have choice of snooze times.
-Builds are basically identical except for the notification part
-These are beta builds, so may find bugs. Please report any bugs(not keyboard or Manila bugs) ASAP. It was hardfor me to tell any difference in speed/battery, so please report back on that as well.
Add-ons and Cabs
Recommended Add-Ons:
-TF3D AMP adds functionality to music tab in TF3D. This is still in development, but looks very promising. Definitely a possible cook-in when it is ready.
-Skins-Find a number of skins at www.skinzone.org. If anyone would like to reccomend a good TF3D theme, I am on the prowl for something to flow good in the Chrome ROM. I like to have a theme cooked in because it should keep from common slowdowns that come with added themes. I would like to keep my Wallpaper though, so would have to go well with that.
-Attached a new envelope for email preview. Thanks to Voltage at skinzone for the original image. I just made some changes and made it work in TF3D.
20771/21042 Mash-up ROM (Hybrid wannabe)
Ok, so for a while now I have been searching, reading, asking, etc. how can we get those nice notifications from Topaz/Rhodium on builds lower than 21xxxx. From everything I found, it was believed that you can not have the new notifications on older builds. I got a step closer here. Still dont have the nice icons on top of some of the notifications, but I am happy to have the bigger bubbles. There is an added benefit here as well, we can have the orginal left/right softkey setup which allows us to choose a snooze time I ended up swapping out some parts between kitchens and doing some blind tests to come up with this. The ROM seems to be even faster, but as stated it is a test build and could have bugs I haven't found yet. Feel free to test with me, and help get this working fully, or at least make sure it is stable.
The reason I was so interested: I got the BEST battery life and GPS, etc from the 20771 build. For example, I can listen to music through bluetooth all day at work and still have around 50-70% battery at the end of day. But with 21042 I only have about 20%. I use the 1.12.25.19 radio, and so have matching rilphone.dll in my ROMs. I also have cooked in some extra GPS registry entries, as well as enabled aGPS by default.
This ROM is just like screens above with a few added applications(listed in post1). Attatched are some screens of the working notifications.
First of all let me say thank you for cooking this ROM. Initial assessment of it is excellent for a 6.1 rom. It fast and everything seems to work pretty will. Graphics is excellent.
the onlly issue I have is the scrolling from within outlook. it either scrolls a full speed or its struggles so to scroll it opens the email your thumb is at instead of scrolling. Scrolling in File explorer is excellent and this is what the scroll should be like inside of outlook.
overall I would give this ROM a 9.95 out of 10! Good job!

Is this straight from boot? I mean were there any applications/themes installed, or any changes through settings>screen>text size or advanced config? It will help me in troubleshooting because I do not have this on any of the ROMs. I am using this same build, but with more programs cooked in(Resco Explorer, Resco Radio, CorePlayer, Pocket Artist, Pocket Player, etc.). I used the public build for about a week to test and tweak, but never came across this problem. Someone did have a font issue in the 20771 build, but we had chalked it up to 3rd party add-ons.
Anyway, if you can give me more info, hopefully I can recreate this on my own device and get you straightened out. Iwould suspect an extra font or something. Maybe one of the registry entries for font links, but I thought that manila used its own font system(fonts are actually *_manila files).
the only app that i did install was S2U2... i dont believe this should have any bearing on the font or text size. tho..
This is very interesting. I tried installing S2U2(1.62) and have no problems. Even installed a theme. Possibly you need to hard reset if you did not hard reset after flash. Or you might want to hard reset to see if that fixes your problem. Like I said, I have been using this ROM for a while, and can not recreate this issue. If your up to it, do a hard reset and let me know if you still have the larger fonts(which is what would cause the # not to show). I did remove Courier font, because it kept taking over the USB to PC popup. I fixed the issue(a missing fontlink) and here is the file if you want to try copying it to your windows folder. I dont think this will resolve your issue, but is worth a try if you dont want to do the hard reset(although now I'm curious and would like to make sure it is not like that from boot).
Here is my calendar tab as well, for reference.
that is strange... I did a hard reset and a fresh install with the same results... i will try the courer file you posted...
and tried the courier file... to no avail...
So your saying that even before installing anything you have the font issue? By fresh install, do you mean you tried to hard reset and flash again?
I will reflash my device later to check it out. Maybe anyone else using the ROM can give us some feedback to see if this is an isolated issue, or if it is in the ROM. 50+ downloads today, someone has to be using it. And unless your the only one noticing it, you would think someone would post something...
I cant do a flash right now with my battery at 48%, but will definitely do it later and let you know.
yes I have installed nothing when I hard reset and also when I did a fresh install.. Hopefully someone else can confirm...
OK, fix for you in second post. I added a new font to fix a bug that sometimes the USB to PC popup would show Courier font because it called for Helvetica LT 55 Roman.ttf. Thanks for help in finding this. I will cook an update soon. Any suggestions for the next release as far as apps? And a TF3D theme that would go good with Chrome series?
Just installed the rom and it looks awesome. I'll test it all day tomorrow and come back with some feedback. I don't know if you can change this for your next release but in footprints "Favourite" is misspelled.
I guess that the spelling would depend on where you live. European english is spelled correctly, for U.S., we use different spellings(don't know why). The program originates from Europe, so thats what we get. Just be sure to grab the font fix until Iget an update. Will wait for a little more feedback to make sure things are more final.
jmckeejr,
I was opening your 20771 ROM thread this morning but didn't see this one until now.
Looking forward to download this and make the try.
I love your 20771 RC2 ROM very much. Fast and reliable. Running 4 days/night without a single reset. And the ROM running faster than after soft reset.. Amazing. What I do is intalling cleanRAM and let the cleanRAM schedule the cleaning every night when I sleep.
I will try tonight (morning your time) and will report to you if any bug found.
Thanks again..
umm this look interesting.. downloading to try it tomorrow.
thanks for your job

|RAPH|6.5|ROM|WWE| ★ EnergyROM 3.0 'Phoenix' (21731) ★ || Build date 2009/6/5 ||
Welcome to my ROM thread!
This ROM is the "3.0" series of my ROM line, and it's designed to have the latest and greatest applications and improvements.
Because of this it may not always be as stable or bugfree, as a stock ROM. However, I can assure you, it's much... MUCH faster than any stock ROM on your device. I build my ROMs for speed, therefore this is a "performance" ROM. Battery life is not important here
The ROM is being continuously developed and bug fixed and there's almost daily releases. I've decided to name each release by the date when it was released. For example, 50109 would have been released on May 1st, 2009. I should also mention it's UC compatible and more info about that can be found here.
This ROM is currently based on the 21728 Windows Mobile 6.5 OS core, along with all the new goodies from the newly announced Topaz and Tachi devices.
It's got the new new Manila interface, new HTC enhanced finger menus, new notifications system, album, FM radio and MP3 trimmer, connection setup etc.
Starting with the 51809 release, the ROM was recreated from scratch. The result is much, much lower RAM usage and general snappiness and speed were vastly improved. Therefore I decided to rename the ROM "Phoenix" as it was 'reborn' just like the mythical bird
If you own a Touch PRO, use the "Keyboard Selector" application under Utillities (after you flash the ROM) to select the proper keyboard layout to use. The ROM comes with the Fuze layout by default.
What you will find in the downloads directories:
"Standard" includes the new TF3D2 (Rhodium Manila) along with the standard Windows Mobile 6.5 today plugin(Tianium)
"Titanium" only includes the Titanium today plugin. No Manila in this version.
"OldManila" includes the older TF3D Manila (as see on a stock ROM), plus Titanium.
"Plain" is a build without manila or titanium.

This build currently uses the RILPHONE.DLL from the latest ATT 5.11 release, along with all the 5.11 version drivers. I recommend using 1.14.25.05 for a radio, for best performance with this ROM.

Known bugs
The lock screen interferes with the HTC Dialer application. It's best not to use it for now. If you have to, you will have to deal with weird behaviour from the dialer!
If you want to use the microsoft dialer instead, open up Advanced Config under Tweaks (in the Start Menu) and disable the phone skin (first item in the Phone section). Reboot...
Goodies
- If you want to go back to the 3 row Start Menu download the attached cab.
- If you want the original slider as seen here >
- If anybody wants a high resolution wallpaper for Manila for THIS ROM, download the cab below. THis will set your "default wallpaper" as the current background in Manila but.. you'll see it on ALL tabs
Make sure to disable the wallpaper in settings after you install the cab, and let it set the "default wallpaper" to get the full effect.
- If you want to use the great white folders that geok made for this ROM... Download and install the attached cab
JUST A REMINDER: this is a GSM only ROM. ROM for CDMA version found HERE. OR YOU CAN TRY YOUR LUCK HERE. READ BOTTOM OF POST (coming from the chef himself)If you just got your FUZE and this is your first time using a custom ROM you may need to START READING HERE FIRST before you proceed.

For everyone: words of thought from the experts!
"A general rule if you don't see your unique problem mentioned anywhere in this thread, chances are you're the only one with the problem and YOU did something to cause it.
The random hard reset problems have been around for a while. I've never experienced them myself, but I bet it has something to do corrupted blocks in your internal flash chip. I recommend searching the forum for raphdiag.nbh and using it to format your flash storage.. then install the ROM again" NRGZ28
======================================
"Please remember folks that there are a lot of variables here and the ROM is just one of them. You may have any number of the following issues
1) a bad flash
2) an incompatibility issue
3) a settings problem
4) a large RF source in your pants
If several people all determine that they have done XYZ and have problem ABC it may be that NGR can do something about it. Until such time, you have some troubleshooting to do. Namely;
1) Flash the stock ROM and spend a few days noting the behavior as you add your software
2) Flash an NRG ROM and use it a few days without adding software
3) start adding software until the problem occurs." ..BigBadger
MORE BATTERY SAVING TIPS FROM BigBadger
• There is nothing special about this ROM to make it use more power than other ROMs except that it is tweaked for performance over battery life.
• Make sure you follow all of the flashing instructions to the letter. Especially the part about hard reset.
• Backlight is set to high. You might want to change that.
• 3G is on by default. Recommendation is to turn it off when you are not surfing the internet.
• If your radio does not match your rilphone.dll you can get crazy bad battery drainage. Make sure they match. There is a separate thread for that.
• Check to see that some application is not still running in the background. Check, do not assume.
• Check to see if the screen is still on when you expect it to be off. Soft reset can fix that issue.
• Some radios work better with some carriers and locations. Asking everyone to tell you what radio to use may not give you the best answer. Be specific about your situation.
• The battery meter will not settle down and give accurate readings for a few battery cycles.
• For the first few battery charging cycles, try to charge with phone off and then allow battery to get down as low as possible before recharging.
• The GPS sucks the battery dry. If you want to keep track of yourself, consider something like GPSToday that only wakes up the GPS once in a while.

by: warri Youtube Bug work Around: Okay I Found a Small Work Around. It appears ONLY the HTC Youtube application is bugged. you can install the "Official" Youtube application found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=495327 and it works. (it auto updates when you run it as well) (going to make sure the auto-updated one runs as well)
Youtube bug solved/background change When Changing Wallpaper, Take the jpg that you want your manila background to be, and rename it homebackground.img then drop it into your windows folder overwrite the existing one. Reset Tf3d. DONE. Youtube Still Works. DO NOT use the wallpaper button on the settings tab, or you will not beable to use the HTC Youtube App.
RED Screen When picking Photos If you are having an issue with Red Screen During Choosing Contacts, or Wallpaper pictures please download THIS FILE . Disable TF3D move the htcphotopicker.exe to your windows directory, restard TF3D. Done.
9. by: gjakovic Hi EnergyROM lovers, You know the problem on people tab where for contacts with multiple numbers manila will call only the default one!? Well now it is fixed I ported the code from Topaz and recompiled the embedded LUAs in manila files that caused the problem. Enjoy! Although this is a Manila problem I have decided to post my fix here to contribute to great ROM and bring it closer to perfection.
P.S. Since this is a new port please report back if you find any issues.
Instruction for noobs: Stop the manila: Start->settings->today->tab Items-> uncheck TouchFLO 3D, use Total commander to replace the files in Windows directory with the ones in attachment. If having trouble, edit the propreties of the original file and uncheck the option read only. Enable manila again.

FAQ'S:
1. by:NRGZ28 Seems that Captain Throwback found the problem with the All_People crash! I omitted the httpclient.dll file from my rom and that's what's causing the All People page to crash. Here's a cab for the fix, until I can release a fixed ROM
2. Again hope I dont get flamed but I cannot seem to get picture rotation and thought it was working in 51809
goofeyass: hergs HTC Album 2.5 cab works great, pictures rotate and seem clearer. You can install this cab over this awesome Rom.http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ynjlvtjawvc
3. It's a great ROM, but can anyone tell me how to active the Titanium view?
at10ti0n: start -> settings -> today -> Items tab -> check "windows default", uncheck TouchFLo 3d
4. I downsized my start menu, and now it looks great and is even more user friendly. Now if I can just get File Explorer on the start menu with a better looking icon...
at10ti0n: Another thing you may want to look for it the "re/Start" program. it is floating int the forum somewhere. I cleaned up my menu and it helps to re-prioritize the items in the main window. I only wish I could change the sub/sub folders. HERE
5. I'm absolutely hating new TF3D scrolling currently. The icons when u scroll, are just too low, its too near your thumb. Is there a way, perhaps a manilla file replacement, that can put it back up a lil higher, as it was in the OLD TF3D? Shep was able to do it, but shep doesnt really reply questions : / also if it helps, showaco's all tabs pictures cab, does solve it, making it higher. however, scrolling TF3D with showaco installed in landscaped is screwed, being off centre to the right any solutions?
gjakovic: TRY THIS
6. can you possible make another manila file that is the lower position but clear in all tabs . as in transluscent no matter what tab your on , for the past few builds it seems that its only clear on the home tab for me. THANKS !
gjakovic: TRY THIS
7. Can I return the start menu icons to three in a row? How?And could you return the phone.exe icon in start menu?
NRGZ28: HERE
8. I´m not sure, but I hear the ringtones and the alarm more quiet than older realeases (of course with volume at maximum), anyone notice this too?
bauerpavel: ...full is like superloud a.Audio_Full_Boost.cab b.Audio_Lighter_Boost.cab
9. Is there a cab floating around for a "Fave People" entry on the 6.5 Start screen?
BigBadger: Look here: 6.5 PLUGINS!
10. Its official BB connect doesnt work on WM6.5. Have tried now on several ROMS including this one. Its no go, both 21232/21234 Builds. If anyone has a workaround this please let me know. Or if anyone has got BBConnect to work on WM 6.5 please post
HappyHammer: A quick search would reveal there is an easy solution to this. Either edit the registry as described in this thread or search for Taiseer's cab. I have BBConnect .106 working fine on EnergyROM 52209
11. Is there an issue with SocialNetworking (upload to facebook) from Album? It isn't built into this ROM and I was curious...
kwill: heres a cab to put the album with facebook upload back in and the account manager in settings. i use it and it works fine. i really havent noticed what the album 3.0 does for rhodium manila. i actually dont use tf3d2 enough to notice. HTC Album + SocialNetworksEngine.cab
12. MORE QUESTIONS ANSWERED BY THE CHEF HIMSELF!
13. Can't Sent Text Messages! When composing a new text message the address to: turns to a number 1 after I hit send, and will not send to the person. So instead of either a phone number or John Doe I just have a number 1.
Should be: Looks like:
John Doe 8:30AM 2kb 1 8:30AM 2kb
Hey whats up yo? Hey whats up yo?
Strangely, if John Doe texts me first, I can reply to those messages just fine. Its ONLY new messages that wont work. Also, im not getting a text message can't be sent message, it seems like instead of sending it to 3305551234 its sending it to 1.
Tomik1: Try this registry setting: HKLM\System\Inbox\RecipientAutocomplete\MaxSuggest ions=0
14. I didnt see any answer to this and was wondering if anyone has any solutions. If i am on a call, and someone calls me, i get no notification until it is missed. When missed, It beeps telling me that i missed a call. I noticed this on the last 3 builds (52009. 53109, and 60109). Any clues?
outphase: Fixed! Change registry key /HKCU/ControlPanel/Sounds/CallWaiting/Sound to CallWait.wav

you are much more lucky than i am, i cannot download any data via this link
What exactly is the PagePool_Changer.exe used for in the roms folder?
Also in your manilla theme the stocks icon pops up on the slider when it passes over the stocks item, this has been a issue in all the 2.x-3.x roms that have used your custom theme.
The only reason why I am point this out is because it doesnt fit in with the rest of your theme and someone else might perceve it as a "glitch".
Other than that I have not stumbled upon any other problems, its great rom like alwase
damn, just finished installing 51909... whats the fixes for this version? the all people button working?

Dear NRG
Is the Old Manila extracted from the latest 5.0 WWE ROMS or is it older??.
perfect work
Some people are never satisfied!!!
He does not post the ROM they complain.
They complain and BEG complain and BEG for the ROM, so he post the ROM early they complain of small bug on a Overall smoking build
He fix the bug, Post a new thread to keep the crap out of it, still they complain and re-adds the crap; then complain of needing change log ( HE SAID HE WOULD POST A NEW THREAD TO RELEASE THE ROM WITH THE FIX INCLUDED IN THE LAST THREAD) what more change log is needed?
NRGZ; Thanks for the continued efforts BRO!
Thanks! Just made my jump to 6.5 and this is fast!
One thing I've noticed is that Internet Explorer doesn't work? Can't connect to any sites. Opera works fine.
Thanks.

This is an HTC Raphael ROM, based on Windows Mobile 6.5. The current build number and date can be seen in the title of this thread.
I always build my ROMs with three main goals.
Eye candy.
Speed!
Smoothness, consistency and good esthetics.
I preconfigure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go, how I'd want it. So, expect the backlight to be set at the maximum brightness, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set.
You will find a new ROM posted here every few days, as I always update them with the latest "ingredients" that come down the pipe, from either Microsoft or HTC. Because of that, I recommend learning to backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization).
If you own a Touch PRO, use the "Keyboard Selector" application under Utilities > Tweaks (after you flash the ROM) to select the "Pro" keyboard layout. The ROM comes with the Fuze layout enabled by default.
I usually make 4 versions of the ROM. If you don't see one in the download directory, it either means I haven't uploaded it OR I'm not making one for the current release yet.
Here are the different versions and what they mean.
"Standard" includes the new TF3D2 (Rhodium Manila) along with the standard Windows Mobile 6.5 today plugin(Titanium)
"Standard_RD" includes the older "stock dialer"
"Titanium" only includes the Titanium today plugin. No Manila in this version.
"OldManila" includes the older TF3D Manila (as seen on a stock ROM), plus Titanium.
Standard
Standard_RD
Titanium
OldManila
If you'd like to download Add on CABs for my ROM go here:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This build currently uses the RILPHONE.DLL from the latest ATT 5.11 release, along with all the 5.11 version drivers. I recommend using 1.14.25.05 for a radio, for best performance with this ROM.

I recommend searching the forum for raphdiag.nbh and using it to format your flash storage.. then install the ROM again"
- NRGZ28
======================================
"Please remember that there are a lot of variables here and the ROM is just one of them. You may have any number of the following issues:
1) a bad flash
2) an incompatibility issue
3) a settings problem
4) a large RF source in your pants
If several people all determine that they have done XYZ and have problem ABC it may be that NGR can do something about it. Until such time, you have some troubleshooting to do. Namely;
1) Flash the stock ROM and spend a few days noting the behavior as you add your software
2) Flash an NRG ROM and use it a few days without adding software
3) start adding software until the problem occurs."
- BigBadger

BATTERY SAVING TIPS
• There is nothing special about this ROM to make it use more power than other ROMs except that it is tweaked for performance over battery life.
• Make sure you follow all of the flashing instructions to the letter. Especially the part about the hard reset.
USe the full Task Manager application.
Give it a while.
• For the first few battery charging cycles, try to charge to 100% with phone off and then allow battery to drain down quite a bit before recharging. Thisis so the meter will calulate drain well.
• Don't drain your batery all the way down until it dies. Not good for these types of batteries.
• The GPS sucks the battery dry. If you want to keep track of yourself, consider something like GPSToday that only wakes up the GPS once in a while.
• Maybe you don't really need aGPS enabled. Disable and check GPS lock times and battery drain.
• Applications that run from the storage card consume more power so install oft-used or background-type applications to main memory.

TIPS AND TRICKS
You can change how many items are displayed in the menus. Go to hklm\software\htc\htcmenus and change the number of items in landscape or portrait and reboot.
You have to use showaco's chome editor to edit the softkeys in titanium. The included SoftKey Manager only works with TF3D. - kwill
Need a slightly larger clickable area in the upper-right corner? nrgz28 says:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\TaskBar]
"LimitedClock"=dword:0
"ConsistentClockOrBattery"=dword:0
one these flipped to 1 will make the area more clickable
Does your phone's clock jump one (1) hour off when you sync (ActiveSync or Mobile Device Center) with your PC? Maybe you need to install a Daylight Saving Time patch from Microsoft found HERE.
Showaco AllTabs_BGv2.2.cab does not play nice with the new (>=20090709) Home screen.
TIPS AND TWEAKS/FAQS FROM PREVIOUS THREAD HERE
whoo hoo let the masses start flashing now. thanks NRG.
Yay!
Hooray for NRG!!
Of course, downloading right now ^^
thanks. I've been waiting for this for a while. Downloading and will flash.
you changed from "Phoenix" to "Magic"....why?
Can't thank you enought NRG... downloading now so my grubby little stylus can cut loose
Looks great so far, thanks NRG. I guess the phoenix is gone because GM killed pontiac, and I think NRGZ28 is a f-body man. Your rom is amazing thanks again.
Gotta try some Majic cause it sure isn't happening with my crappy rom
Cool! I remember NRG teased us with a few screenshots of TouchFLO 3D 2.5 on 18th June in the 06/13 build thread. I hope there are some goodies in this ROM from those screenshots. Thanks for your work, NRG.
Update: From the screenshots posted on the first page, it seems that TouchFLO 3D 2.5 is not ported this time around. Great ROM nonetheless!
Need help!
I'm itching to flash, but I don't want to re-do all of my SPB stuff from scratch. Can someone please provide me with some insight on how to back up all of my settings and layouts for mobile shell? I plan on using Sashimi for my cabs, is there a way to save a file for my SPB stuff??

T [WWE|GER|FRA|ITA|NLD] |July 4| Energy™-.¸¸.·´¯ 6.5|21916 / 6.5.X|29022 * Sense 2021

Welcome to the "EnergyROM" thread !
This development thread is for my "Energy" custom firmware series for the HTC Diamond2 (Topaz) device.
The current build numbers and date can be seen in the title of this thread. I usually update the ROMs about twice a week, as new builds come down the pipe or as new software/updates are available.
I build my ROMs with four main goals.
Eye candy ( I want my ROM to look great and for it to all flow together nicely)
Speed !!!
Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
Stability through private beta testing before public release
I pre-configure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go. So, expect the backlight to be set at the maximum brightness, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the box.
I recommend learning to backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization). Backing up with SPB Backup or similar products, is NOT recommended, as they tend to backup the previous release's registry/file bugs as well!
Looking at the download folder you will find two core versions of my ROM.
A 21916 Build which is the most reliable and bug free release. It has the Start menu button at the top left corner. This build uses the same stock system that came with your device. This is usually the fastest and most stable build, but it's also the least fancy

A 29022 Build that's the latest in Microsoft's development with the Start menu button at the bottom left corner and big softkeys, making it all very "finger friendly". These builds reflect the latest cutting edge technology from Microsoft. Most people choose this build... Why else would you install a custom ROM ?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can stay up to date on the status of my ROM development by "following" me on Twitter.
It's definitely the fastest way to get in touch with me and please don't be afraid to tweet me if you see major issues with the ROMs.
I generally do not answer "support" questions on Twitter, as it's really not the proper medium for that. Service packs and quick fixes will always be released as links in my tweets and that's definitely the fastest way to get a fix for a ROM.
To follow me on twitter, click here!
This post features all the Cookie Hometab based ROMs I make.
The original ROM is the "energy" version and that's a good starting point. All the rest, are themes applied to that ROM.
They all come in two versions, Cookie 1.8.5 and Cookie 2.0 (the ROM filename will be labeled "Cookie" and "Cookie.2.0, plus the name of the theme)
You can see more screenshots of these ROMs a couple of posts down.
The two Cookie versions look pretty similar, but Cookie 2.0 has multiple sliding homescreens/freely moveable widgets (similar to Android) and
quite a few more features and speed.
My own 'Energy' style
This is the best ROM version and the way Sense should have been designed by HTC
Offers the biggest customization ability out of all versions. You can add/remove bars or items on the homescreen, arrange items any way you like, plus lots of extra features
Three built in lockscreens. "HD Mini" style, Manila style or Windows style
3 pages of quicklinks with a configurable amount of shortcuts displayed
3 Homescreen layouts to choose from, as seen in the above screenshots, all completely customizable !
Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
Dinik's "Anastasia"
This ROM series is skinned with Dinik's great "Anastasia" theme applied on everything.
Everything has been skinned, including Sense, the start menu items, the soft keyboard, parts of the dialer... etc
_LeCiel_'s ".sencity"
This ROM is themed with the .sencity theme released by _LeCiel_ who is a very talented artist ! Please support his work if possible.
.sencity is not %100 complete yet, but _LeCiel_ is working hard on finishing his work to completely skin the entire ROM.
Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
DJC & Bobsbbq's "Touch Of Glass"
This ROM series is skinned with DJC's "Touch of Glass" theme throughout Sense and the Start Menu
More will be skinned as DJC continues his work on the theme in the future...
Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
ElCondor's "GTX"
This ROM has the white GTX theme applied
Android styled taskbar, matching dialer, matching start menu background and Action screen background
GTX is a total reskin of the operating system, so expect a very different (white) experience
Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
'Standard' ROMs that have no addons installed on the homescreen. Stock Sense 2.5 !
'Energy'
This series retains the stock functionality of the Sense UI. The files have been compressed by "CFC" compression. making the UI lighter and faster
This ROM still retains my theme and style, plus all the regular apps you find in my ROMs.
There are no homescreen addon-ons in this ROM. The best speed and the most stock functionality.
'Reference'
This ROM is mostly for people that want a close to stock ROM with the stock visual style. It's also perfect for doing your own customizations.
A lot of the cooked in apps are removed in this ROM, the Start menu back to the stock 3 row style
Sense and everything else is back to the default HTC green.
ROMs mostly created for enthusiasts...
MaxSense UI (android style homescreen)
This is a complete rewrite of the Sense homescreen, by maxycy.
It features a 3 screen, Android style, homescreen with widgets! The widgets can be placed ANYWHERE on the three screens.
75 Quicklink accessible on all tabs
You should really visit the original thread for this mod shown on the next line to see all the features!
Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <.
Titanium (ROMs for raw speed!)
This is a minimal ROM version without Sense in it. It's used primarily for people that like to customize the default 6.5 homescreen (Titanium)
You can use it to install alternate homescreen interfaces like SPB Mobile Shell, etc
Very low memory footprint and good battery life, but very simple and lacks a lot of features that you would otherwise have available in Sense...

ROM features at a glance:
Very fast startup time. You find any startup wizards in this ROM. You'll be up and running in a couple minutes after flashing the ROM.
XDA_UC is built in. It will import your custom XML and REG files from your storage card after first boot.
My own Settings Exporter application is found in the Tools folder. Use it to export all your settings after you customize the device. When a new ROM comes down the line, use it to import everything and save time.
Everything is setup to use the phone right after flashing. Sounds, notifications, etc
The HTC Messaging client is removed, leaving the windows built SMS client for much faster texting...

XDA_UC FAQ

The XDA_UC cooked in my ROMs is modified from the stock XDA_UC made by Noonski. Great addon, by the way... Noonski did a great job with this !
The version in my ROMs is trimmed down to fit the needs of my ROM series.
Some of the extra features are:
It will copy shortcuts (.lnk files) found in \XDA_UC\Start Menu\ to the device's start menu folder (\windows\Start Menu) in the hierarchy that it finds on the storage card. For example: Let's say you have a navigation package on the storage card, like Navigon. If you make a shortcut to the navigon.exe file as Navigon.lnk and copy it to \XDA_UC\Start Menu\GPS\ as "Navigon.lnk" then on a fresh ROM install it will copy any shortcuts it finds there to the same location on the device, so it'll end up in \Windows\Start Menu\GPS\. This works for other folders on the Start Menu as well. Just put the shortcuts in \xda_uc\Start Menu\ in the folders you will like the shortcuts to appear to, on the device.
It will copy a custom splash screen from \Storage Card\XDA_UC\welcomehead.192.png to \windows automatically and overwrite the one in the ROM.
It will copy a custom Sense background found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\sense\wallpaper_sense.png to the device and set that wallpaper as default in Sense. So rename your wallpaper as "wallpaper_sense.png" and drop it in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\sense\ and on the next ROM flash that wallpaper will become your wallpaper in Sense.
Other than that XDA_UC works as designed by Noonski and it will do the following things:
It will automatically import your PPCbackup (*.pib) file found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will install custom XDAS scripts found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently install CAB files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will install special CAB files that require user input (such as Agreements or any type of prompt) found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\SD
It will silently import REG files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently install REG files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\Exporter, as exported by my own Settings Exporter, ONLY if the "automatic" file is also present in that folder (and it most cases it should be, enable that option in the Settings Export application's menu)
It will silently import XML files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently import CER files (usually Exchange certificates) found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently run custom MSCR files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
That's it, but don't forget to checkout the Addons folder and look in the XDA_UC section for tips and tutorials on how to export your email/wifi settings and various little .reg and tweaks you can add to your XDA_UC collection.
As always don't forget to check what installs automatically before reporting a problem with the ROM. Most of the time, if you notice you have a problem that nobody else is experience is because one of the cabs you dropped in the XDA_UC folder is installing automatically while you don't even think about it.
Cheers will definately give it a try, erm why does your music collection look too similar to my 90s college collection lol!! Some classics there!!
Cheers

NRGZ28
Hi! Excellent Rom, but there is one question:
The program soft key manager changes name Left softkey, but does not start the assigned program.
SORRY guys but just trying to point out the obvious,,,,,, NRG split the roms up in two, so dont you think its about time to stop with the wifi bug if you want him to continue development,,,, seriously, if you want it, flash the rom, if not dont,,,,, if you flash the rom youll find out,,, ,,, by now we should asume that the wifi IS messed up.... so why not just report if it isnt,, ,,,
i for one would like the oppotunety to be able to flash Energy roms with manilla 2.5 in the future... not trying to slam anyone or offend anyone, but just pointing out what i got from the last few post by senior members in the "genesis" forum, including NRG...
NRG: Thanx for another superb rom.... keep up the good work pls

What's wrong about asking for a known bug in previous roms?
Considering that this is a new build and that NRG says on the first page that there are NO bugs, only some from HTM (twitter), I just want to know if has figured out what the problem was and if he has fixed it.
That's it dude....
NRG, thanks for your amazing roms, your patience and dedication!
Ok, more people saying that the wifi bug is still there. I'll post my findings when I finish downloading the file........which is going terribly slow (rs mirror).

Finally finished downloading the rom and it's installed now.
I am connected to my home wifi and I'm trying to see if wifi goes on and off.
A problem (maybe bug) that I see now is that I can't turn off the wifi manually through the com. manager. I see the slider is to the right, so wifi is on, but it's greyed out.....I can't turn it off.
I have to click on settings - wireless lan - menu - wifi - menu - turn off wifi
So this is pretty annoying.......can you guys check it out and see if you can turn wifi off manually in the com. manager??
Thanks, I'll checking the forum....
Cheers!
Thanks for all your hardwork on the EnergyROM's, you shall definatly be receiving a donation when my own personal credit crunch ends.
Love the Twitter integration too, I'll just wait a couple of revisions until it works, but its nice to see HTC embracing the "new" social networking site.

Maybe you have connected your phone with activesync and try to turn off or on a wifi? If yes... unplug phone from your pc.
Ok, I've been testing the rom now for about 40 minutes and so far no wifi bug for me.
I've let the phone on for 10 minutes and it didn't try to connect to my wifi. I've switchted the phone on and off (the screen) and it doesn't connect to wifi automatically. Which was the case in the previous version.
So for me, thusfar no wifi bugs. I'll keep the rom for a whole day and will post tomorrow with an update.
Thanks for the great rom!!
Cheers!
Wow!! another nice new ROM! thanks, NRGZ28, gonna flash this ROM later and report what i found(hopefully i would find nothing as bug).
