NEW GUY!! - Vibrant Themes and Apps

I was wondering how do i get the battery meter and how do i get my lock screen to spell out everything like the date, time, battery life etc? do i have to mod my phone? or is there another way to do it.
Any info would be great thanks.

LOL! Never seen them before!
Battstat, tajm and the lockscreen is probably widget locker...

That lockscreen looks like the epic lockscreen, both of the most used custom ROMS being Frakintwiz and Bionix both have 4 lockscreens to choose from, but if you want to go stock then the best option is to buy widget locker, I use it, love it you can do many things with it, and have widgets on it. The weather is from beautiful widget by the looks of it. both are paid apps in the market.

BattStat and tajm are the battery and clock widgets on the lockscreen. Not exactly sure on the lockscreen but my best guess would be widget locker with the single unlock button. Weather widget looks like GenieWidget but with a transparent background.

again battstatt is the text battery meter, free btw.
Widget locker is the lockscreen, you can add custom backgrounds, slider locks, widgets, and shortcuts to your lockscreen, Beautiful widgets would be the weather/time widget your seeing on the screen.
that Bg is pretty sweet i need to find that.
I take it back beautiful widgets is not that weather widget.
this is what mine looks like.

Seeking Weather Widget

In search of a pure Weather only Widget...I like the Weather portion of Beautiful Home Weather, but do not need the clock option - does anyone know how to disable to clock or an application with only the weather portion....
Weatherbug Elite has a nice widget that displays weather which is what I use.
The Weather Channel... they have three to four types of widgets available
Try snow storm from the market

i use "Weather Widget - Free" by Android Apps. it supports different skins / themes and it can display a single weather icon with temp. i bought beautiful widgets, but prefer this app.
I use Beautiful Widgets BUT DO NOT USE THE WIDGET.
You can go to the options and have the temp show in your notification bar. That way when you click on it you get the cool animations and forecast/current weather from BW, but you get all the space on your home page by not using the widget... kinda the best of both worlds.
I never understood needed a clock widget... utterly pointless in my not so humble opinion.

Sense Widget

Does anyone know where i can get a clock widget that looks closest to the htc sense one?
Search XDA for Fancy Widget. Looks exactly the same. Also, there's an app in the market called beautiful widgets. In this program you can select from a list of clock widgets. A few are similar to the sense clock and you can customize it a little more. You have to buy the app though.
Weather Widget & Flip Clock with the H7C themes...

Defy screenshots

I'd like to start a thread to collect Defy's screenshots with a small description of the used apps; I'll start with mine:
From left to right: left home screen - main home screen - right home screen - lockscreen.
App used for home screens: launcher pro free edition.
App used for lockscreen: widgetlocker.
Widgets: DigitalClock, CircleBattery, CalWidget, SnowStorm, SMSUnreadCountClassic, Widgetsoid.
As you can see I love minimalism .
Feel free to post yours!
PS: in order to capture screen images you need to root the device (which is easy using z4root) and any of the free screenshot apps from the market.
Here's mine.
That was 2 days ago. It was a standart ROM - 2.21 with blur. Now i got Clean 2.34 blurless Rom jit/deodexd.

I think that deffo gets top prize for minimalism lol
Didnt quote for image length.
Its clean and tidy If there was a way to make the top bar black with the clocked removed i would keep it but untill i find a way to do it i will stick with no bar >)
if you don't want it all black like jboogie's you need to make your own theme, but you will also need his services.jar to change the font

Beautiful widgets or weather and toggle?

I can't decide which one to buy. I have fancy widget now and I would like weather animations like sense. What ones better? How does fancy widget pro compare too?

I think Beautiful Widgets has a free version so you could check it out. I have the paid version and when checking the weather it is autoated but not in the clock mode that shows weather. They also have some weather live wallpapers that are weather related.

Gotta say Beautiful Widgets takes the cake, much more advanced imo. It is also very moddable, plenty themes you can use on it to fit the style of your overall phone. Definitely worth the money
Thanks guys. Will try out beautiful widgets

There is nothing to be compared to Sense Weather. But I think, Beautiful Widgets tries that the best way I have seen.
Fancy widget uses your chosen weather skin in the animated forecast whereas Beautiful wgt uses the stock skin no matter what skin you are using (last time i looked).
I buy beautiful widget and working well. But i found it drain my battery,Ist i use live wallpaper to check i moved to normal wallpaer and only set current weather widget but this time again battery drain. After that i removed all beautiful widgets from home screen and now workng well. You chkd ur self in battery use when u set beautiful widget it shows more batry consumed by android system and when there is no widget it shows less.
I don't have this issue with Beautiful Widgets.
I don't notice any more battery consumption using Beautiful Widgets

[Q] Launcher Pro trouble, overlapping widgets.

I am trying to use the Lunar Mclock theme and the Beautiful Widgets weather widget together. When I drag the clock over the weather widget to resize it the weather widget stays ontop of the clock for a while but after turning on and off the phone a couple of times it goes behind the overlapping clock so it is partially hidden even though the clock is somewhat transparent. Because of this can't tap the weather widget only the clock widget. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I hope the makes sense. Thanks
Never mind I figured it out with the help of this link.
http://android.modaco.com/topic/331042-how-to-overlap-widgets-in-launcher-pro-in-a-good-way/
I just needed to add the widgets in a different order.
