This may not be your problem, but make sure when you download from the market you are not connected through wifi. Some wifi networks block the download port. However other wifi networks are just fine. When im at home it works great but when im connected to the wifi at work it just sticks on downloading.

i am having same issue. i was only able to download one app at home
there after nothing can somebody please help

The same thing happens to me but only sometimes. It only happens when I try to download a ton of stuff at one time.

I post this every now and then, seems to help most.
open titanium backup, find Market
Click it, wipe data, two times if you like
still in TB, menu > more > Market Dr.
Go to the Market, accept policy
Menu > My apps
Profit?

Clearing cache/data will probably solve it, but if it doesn't use a similar vending.apk (its the market) and push it into system/app.

yeah, but I cant imagine everyone on the rom is having an issue with the Market. Data/Cache should do it. Maybe broken Market links (Mkt Dr.).

I have a problem where it doesnt start to download and i would have to go in and try to redownload it. Sucks but who know happened on a few roms i tried

Is the Market down?!

I have been trying to get a couple applications to download, and it seems as the market isn't allowing that to happen...
Started yestereay after I ran titanium backup, I started getting an error that said one of the google processes had to be forced...Seems odd, and I'm positive I didn't delete anything...Just doesn't make sense...
Anyone else having issues??
When I try to download I get "downloading failed, try again" (something like that). Dunno why it is like that.

[Q] market problems

I've been having problems with the market recently and downloading apps. The apps start to download and just stop or they will download and not install. My signal is 3G and the strength is around 3 bars. It will eventually download and install after 4 or 5 tries. Anyone else having this problem? And if do did you managed to get fix.

Have this problem before. twice actually. Either:
-force stop market in the 'Manage Applications' in 'Settings', then wipe data and cache. Open up market and see if apps install.
-check if you deleted a Google Talk process, service or some kind (not talking about the actual app). Market fails to install if you deleted that.
If none of these is it, than I would recommend a reflash of a rom or possibly an Odin.

Thanks, its definitely not the deleted Google talk I only freeze apps and I tend to stay away from apps that say good when doing so. I will definatly try what you suggested and see if that works.

Annoying market problem: stuck at starting download

Hello,
wondering if anyone experienced the same. Just got my evo 3d today and was able to download a few apps from the market but now can't download anything. It looks like it starts and downloads but wont install. If you go to my apps section, u can see the downloads still stuck at starting download. Would like to fix without starting fresh. So far I have tried clearing the market cache and data, the download manager cache and data, soft reset battery pull.
Any help would be appreciated

Go into settings then applications, manage applications then pick the all tab. Find market the clear cache. That should fix it.

sometimes that happens to me on wifi and i just need to connect to 3g and wait
I use to have that problem sometimes on the evo but haven't had any problems on the 3D. I remember on the evo if you signed in and refreshed your google talk it would fix it. Don't know if that is still the case.

Market not working properly

Everything I try to download on market will not download, it says starting download and stays there for hours, days even, I'm using the new market, but i uninstalled and the old one is doing the same, I've tried downloading on wifi, 4g, 3g, but no luck, everyother app downloads fine, I have root also, using easy frevo or somthing like that, I've also truest clearing data/cache and force stopping application no luck, any one else have this problem? Thanks

I decided to install the new market app, but was having problems with it. I tried searching for apps and no results would come up. Also, trying to download something would take a long time to start the download. This does not happen with the stock market app.
just do a soft reset and then try it again via wifi; works like butta
I've tryied everything same prob, I just want to root this thing with custom ROM and get over all these small problems sprint need to unlockboot loaders already. Lol

New Market Too Slow

This is going to sound really stupid but the new market (the tiled, dark one) is so slow it's unusable, regardless of which rom I'm using. Things will load eventually but I'm talking 4 or 5 mins per page to load. This is on my normal Huawei router.
By chance I used a different brand of router (at home, same line, same connection speed, etc) yesterday and market loads normally without any slowdown. Back to my own router and it slows right down again.
So my question is, what has changed in the new market that makes my router unable to load it properly? The old market loaded at normal speed, as it should. I can't change routers as the one I was using was just for testing purposes.
Can anyone shed any light on this please?

Try checking for router firmware updates, then try resetting your router.
Which router are you using?

Thanks for the suggestions, I've checked and it's on the latest firmware. Have also reset the modem but nothing changed. It's a Huawei H520b. I tried a D-link router yesterday and it loaded the marked perfectly.
It sounds like the new market uses some sort of different security settings or something, that my router can't handle. I'm not very techy so wouldn't know which settings to even look at!
Go into settings find the market and select uninstall updates. This will take you bacl to the previous version.
Then grab a program like Titanium Backup Pro and freeze the market updater in the list of apps and then you can stay on the previous version as long as you want...

Thanks, sorry to be a pain but I can't find anywhere to uninstall updates. No option for that, only clear cache. You did mean settings > applications > manage applications > market, or am I in the wrong place?
Much appreciated.
Try Freeze "Android Market 1.0" by Titanium... It work for me
my problem with the new one is it doesnt download more then one app at a time, in reality its better bc they will download faster but i like seeing them all at once lol

I don't have an option to uninstall updates...strange. I should have mentioned I'm not using stock, and I think the new market was included as standard with the Home Base rom I'm using.
I'm going to try to install the old market from an .apk file, see if I can revert back, then uncheck the update function, as suggested.
No big deal, I was just hoping there might be a setting I could change somewhere so I could use the new market.
Thanks for all your suggestions guys
That's a shame because for some on other custom ROMs, they can still use this method.
Oh well for anyone else that's interested. Settings->manage applications->market->uninstall updates.
This is the screen that you should see then and hit uninstall updates in the top right hand corner...

I did freeze the market updater, but I occasionally find the new market back again. Then I restore the old market from Titanium again. I tried the uninstall updates, but it didn't look like the old market so I did the restore. Anybody have any ideas?
