Hey guys I have root along with CwM installed along with the voodoo lag fix. I am attempting to hard reset my phone and have tried it every way possible and it seems like the only thing that happens is that my phone resets swype as default keyboard and my text messages are gone. I have tried doing the hard reset from the setting and from clockwork and from recovery and yet nothing ever really happens. I also tried flashing another Tom through clockwork and that failed as well.. any ideas

You would have to disable or remove Voodoo to be able to hard reset.

Ok, so I have been having some major freezing and getting stuck on a black screen issues. Currently have Rooted 2.1 Stock Rom with JI6 update and OCLF V.2 installed on my Vibrant. Thinking about doing a full factory reset and also wiping the 16gb internal memory too. Then reinstalling everything from scratch. Will that make any difference? Thanks for any help you guys can offer!

Oh yea also locks up on the Gallery and other Apps some times. Then nothing responds then have to take the battery off to fix it!also using Launcher Pro Plus as my Launcher!

Try this...
If you have ROM manager, try using the fix permissions option. Seemed to work for me after I flashed Bionix. I'm not sure if you're overclocked or not either. If so, you may need to check your scaling settings. Not sure if these work for you, I'm still in noob status, just trying to pick things up along the way. Would hate to get flamed for asking a question......
Just using Stock Rom not a custom Rom. Think I might just undo everything and start fresh. Just wish I could find a working download link for the TMobile unofficial Froyo Rom. But not having any luck since it was removed by the xda. devs!

Even with a stock ROM, you might want to tryr fixing permissions, seemed to work for me when I was rooted with a stock ROM....just a thought.

Ok just did that. Seems a little faster but the Market seems to take longer to load and also it changed my font style for some reason? Will test it out I guess

I have googled the hell out of this and I cannot find a solution, but if you think you have one feel free to post it.
Was on Bionix v, disabled voodoo
Flashed a theme
Now the phone becomes completely frozen at the lockscreen, cannot get past
Did a nandroid backup but I still cannot get past the lockscreen, becomes frozen
Able to get into download mode but Odin does not recognize my phone at all, have tried multiple usb ports
I think Samantha.... is dead.
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling samsung usb drivers? Or maybe just reboot your pc?

Ok heres whats happening....
first of all, my phone is rooted and i have the latest super clean and kernal.... this has been happening on a variety of kernals and roms tho..
Randomly, out of nowhere, my phone reboots. (maybe this is normal, the kernal is crashing?)
the problem is that once it comes back, i seem to be missing some system applications like my contacts app (whenever i click on contacts in the phone, it crashes, and i dont have a contacts app to click)
and sometimes, my phone Settings app.... if u try to click menu on the home screen and click settings, nothing happens..... and i cant place widgets..
I have to reodin the phone completely and start from scratch....
This happens like once every couple weeks or so....
any ideas?
Try flashing it again w/ data/cache/dalvik wipe

It sounds like some of the apps may be incompatiable with the verison you're using. I had a somewhat similar problem when first getting into roms. It may be worth going back to stock and then reflashing to the latest SC.
Not sure.. If it was just a compatibility problem I think it would not work right away... The problem I'm having is random after a spontaneous reboot

Try fixing it by flashing stock rom then re root > rom install > cwm

Hi. I have done some research but have so far not been unable to resolve my issue...information which is pushed to the notification bar, such as emails, updated apps, etc. are disappearing before I have a chance to look at them. This is my second Galaxy S2 and it definitely didn't happen first time round. My firmware is certainly different so perhaps a bug? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Scott
Could be your device is rebooting without you knowing.
Thanks for your reply...I don't think this is what is happening because i have watched things disappear without evidence of a reboot.

I had the same problem this weekend after installing a custom ROM - did a full wipe, format, factory reset, reinstalleD ROM and all seems fine now. What ROM are you on?

After using an app called TS 2 which encrypts photos and videos, my Allstream began bootlooping. It would get to the Sense touchscreen, and as soon as i pulled the ring up, boot loop began. What was the possible cause of this ?
Also, I've been spending the last2 hours getting my tablet back to normal.thankfully, all my music and data is backed up online w google or Picasa or etc.

Though, like my synergy Rom on EVO, is there a way to enable the jetstream to automatically Download all the apps again when a flash or restore occurs? Is root needed for that?
If you checked Google to backup your apps, your apps should reinstall minus the data.

Ok. Really unhappy now. I rebooted my device after spending hours yesterday restoring it and it is still bootlooping after a factory reset. When I pull the lockscreen run, it crashes and reboots. Please help.

i never had bootloops myself, so i cant quite help. sorrys.
I'm unsure. I was on WiFi when it happened. I don't know of that makes a difference. Also, I had screen rotation off, so I was unable to rotate to check.
Could this glitch be fixed with root?

Also, my jetstream does not bootloop on its own. It only happens once I tell the device to reboot.
I'm afraid to reboot it now lol. It's done it twice and the hours I've out in to restoring it is not cool.
