[MOD][MORPH]Blue Notification Icons Mod - Vibrant Themes and Apps

This is a mod to the Notification Pulldown Icons. I would only recommend using them on a Bionix Rom because they have black backgrounds. You must use MetaMorph to apply. I hope you enjoy!
***I can create these in different colors. Just let me know which color you want, and I'll try to get it up here for you.
1. Download 'BlueNotificationMod.zip' file to sd
2. Open MetaMorph
3. Extract file
4. Apply All
5. ******REBOOT PHONE******
Finished. Enjoy!
I've tested this on Bionix 1.9 and Bionix Fusion. It has worked flawlessly on both. Make sure you reboot after install. Thanks.

For some reason my screenshot chopped up the words, thats not how my pulldown looks at all. Everything is perfect but where I used to have labels such as "wifi" "gps" "bluetooth" etc. It looks like those words are still there but just cut off, almost completely but theres little "white specs" I flashed this over the all black mod. stock ji6

That's strange. The only thing I can think of is that in metamorph you hit 'update' instead of 'replace'? Is that correct? If so, I'll update the OP to be more clear.

Nope. Hit replace, even nandoid restored and tried again, same result. Do you know where the text would be that says "wifi, gps" etc? Could I essentially just delete those so they wont show up?

Well, gotta call it a night now. Gonna look into this after work tomorrow and try to figure it out. I've only tested this on Bionix roms, so it might be a compatability issue.

[MOD]Battery Mod (Accurate, Blue) *UPDATED 11-4-10*

Here is a battery mod i put together. The screenshots below give it no justice. Try it and let me know what you think. It will work on any 2.1 ROMS*** MUST BE A ROM WHICH SUPPORTS ACCURATE BATTERY OR HAVE ALREADY APPLIED ANOTHER ACCURATE BATTERY MOD (ex. Bionix Roms)***. This swaps out some files in Framework-res.
***NANDROID FIRST***
-Open Metamorph
-Select 'Unzip/Extract New Theme'
-Select 'BatteryUpdate.zip'
-Apply All
***This morph ONLY mods the battery***
Thank you Flak_Munkey for your help!
You said that the morph only mods the battery but there is a SS of the wifi, bt etc, are those changed also? The battery mod looks nice, I dig it.
Ok I applied it and its just the battery icon as stated in the op. I have to admit its pretty sweet. How do the percentages work? The mod shows my battery is at 80%, however a battery widget I have says 75%.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Thanks. Been looking for the stock battery in blue with percentage. I'm also interested on the calculation. The icon shows 100 but when I do settings;about phone;status, battery level show 90%.

The percentage works pretty simply. I just replaced the stat_sys_battery0-100 png's in system/framework/framework_res. I've been running it for 2 days without any problems. I would recommend fully charging the phone so everything can reset at 100. Let me know if this works, otherwise I'll have to work on a fix. Thanks.

Still not working for me man after charging to 100%. I applied it correctly and didn't get any errors.

Ok, I gotta fix this when I get home today. I think I've found the problem. I'll update the OP. So its just not displaying the correct percentage?
Yes, the mod says 100% but a battery widget I have says 89%. Also I'm not sure if your mod has a charging motion but if it does that dosent appear to be working either. Thanks for sharing your work with us!

Not showing the right percentage on mine. I'm running rooted/stock JI6. Thanks for the effort and looking forward to your update.
Mentalex asked me to help him on this morph. The morph is fine and does what it is supposed to. ljv, the reason it is not working on yours is you are running stock JI6, and stock , iirc, does not have the accurate battery fix in place to use this morph. Apply either the accurate battery mod (this one should work - no guarantees - was created by s0niqu3 for stock) or a ROM such as Bionix Final or Fusion, then apply the morph.
Bronk, what ROM are you running? I am assuming at the moment it is the same situation as ljv.
Edit: the charging part of this where it is not fulling up completely during the animation is due to the way the morph was created. I let Mentalex know what was wrong, so hopefully a fix for that will be made soon.
Thanks Flak. I just borked my phone. I'm guessing I shouldn't have clockworked the zip file? Restoring it now. Nanroid is your friend

NP ljv. I thought that version of the accurate battery would work, but I guess not. Oh well. I may make something that will work later, but I would recommend switching over to one of the Bionix Rome anyway.

No biggie. It's a learning experience. When I first came here, I was too afraid to do anything. After doing lots of reading, I'm pretty comfortable hacking the phone now. This thing is hard to kill
Thanks Flak. I'm gonna fix the issues with this tonight. Thanks for your patience everyone!

You take full responsibility for any damage you may do to your phones, but ljw and Bronk, if you want to replace the framework-res.apk file (which has the files that control the battery images/animations), you can use the attached and do an
adb push "location of the file"\framework-res.apk /system/framework
adb reboot

Click to collapse
.
Or use something like Root Explorer to replace the file.
It *should* work and have an accurate battery, and then you will be able to flash this or other battery morphs and have them work properly.

I restored my phone so all is good.
There are working accurate battery mods out that that I successfully flashed with no problems. I just went back to stock because I didn't like the color green. Was hard to read the percentage. So, maybe I should flash that again, then morph this blue one?

[APP] Custom Font Switcher

Found this app when trying to change fonts on my rooted phone.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.lee.android.switcher
Confirm that the app works. Make sure to reboot or else you'll see a lot of the attached image.
App helps to make it easier than messing with files for those who don't want to.
Cool, thanks for the find. Gonna try this out on Evervolv tonight. (Messed around w/a different app that made me find my own fonts and well... let's just say thanks for nandroid backups )

I have a couple questions about this,
1. Does it have the font used in Evervolv? I like that font, but don't want the whole rom
2. Can you return to stock at any time?
3. If you uninstall the program will it stay on the current font or revert to stock?
1. Not sure.
2. Yes.
3. Font is not attached to app. Once installed it should stay.

K, thans for the info, but I found a tutorial online of how to change your font without any apps. So I downloaded the evervolv and ripped the font from its soft underbelly. Then crudly shoved them into my phone.
Works pretty good. Some alignment issues on the unlock screen are the only problem so far.
Here is tutorial I used.

[APP] MusicPlayer.apk ... and now MiuiMusic.apk

Hey I would like to share my blue themed stock music player from my Blutiful1.4 theme for all yall who would like to try it out. Its still my favorite music player for the fact that it has a great EQ function plus you have the Music Effects that really enhance the sound and you got that cool visualization that looks great in your car at night...
-replaced the colored bubble images that shows up when no album art with a blue android tile image (dim when visualization is on) and a splashing blue android on the music list.
-replaced the transparent bottom EQ reflection bars with solid ones and themed both top & bottom blue so it now looks like one big blue wave (visualization must be on).
-Replaced the music title background with blue "android" wallpaper.
-new HD blue menu icons
-themed the music controls blue
-new blue glassy status bar play/pause icons
...enjoy and let me know if you like it/hate it, or if I should go jump off a cliff for ever trying to theme something, but if you do like it shoot me a thx.
[EDIT] Might wanna add that this probably works only on a 2.2 ROM since I'm running BionixV 1.3.1.
UPDATE 8/25/11 So I got the MIUI music player from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=854766&highlight=MIUI+MUSIC (THX lightninbug) and I like it but I did not dig the purplelish color so I themed it (obviously) blue to match the rest of my theme.Too bad it wont go on landscape mode. I felt I had to put it here for those crazy enough to want it.
-Android blue background
-New HD blue icons
-Blue music visualization
-Blue, Blue, and more Blue
same as the MusicPlayer.apk, just push it to the system/app folder using Root Explorer (or equivalent) file manager and reboot. Enjoy.

How do i install
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Use a file manager program (like Root Explorer or Astro File Manager) to either install the MusicPlayer.apk file by using their built-in installer or push (copy) the file directly to the system/app folder and then reboot. There are also stand alone app installers in the market (like ApkInstaller) that you could download and use to install "apk" files.
Very nice. Mind if I add it to some of my themes? All credits yours of course.

I extracted the battery from this theme it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1003975but for the rest of my Blutiful theme,I extracted alot of stuff from many other themes including non-Vibrant themes like this one. If you do extract it for your phone make sure you pay attention how the icons in the charging animation are set up in your theme cuz u gonna have to follow that same pattern when you install a new icon set or your charging animation will be off.
Idk what the problem is but I cant get it to install using any method. Ive pushed it, flashed it, used apk install, and built in installers. Idk if the upload is bad or what cause I have downloaded it 5 times to test. Can you try making a mediafire mirror? And has anyone installed successfully?

Really? Im not sure what happened. I've been running this on both of my Vibrants for about a month already and I use this all day long at work and then docked to my car stereo when going home with no problems. Sorry for any inconvenience but I would like to see if someone else is having the same problem so I could rule out a bad download.
[EDIT] OK I deleted the MusicPlayer.apk in my phone then I downloaded one from the op link and pushed it to my system/app folder using RootExplorer and rebooted. Everything looks fine on my end.

RomToolboxPro w/ SauROM

Anybody using RomToolbox to flash battery/icons/boots and running the Custom Rom SauROM?
I just installed it since you asked about it. It looked interesting. I don't have SauRom installed.
Basically its not doing what I want.
I bought it so I could change boot animations and icons like the battery icon. Its just not doing it. I've emailed the dev and I'm waiting to see what he says. For now I'd say hold off.
I've tried but still no boot logo. I'm on dag PC kernel.
Sent from my SGH-I717R using xda premium
I've tried it on few devices and it depends on the ROMs. I would definitely backup before you make any changes cuz I made the mistake of changing battery icon or something and it didn't give me the option to restore to the factory one and long story short, I had to reinstall ROM and everything but it does work pretty well. I've changed a few things as well as settings to the ROM like tweaks. I like it.
I got it to work. For the location, you have to put /system/media/sanim.zip

Getting the bubbles back is an easy fix. Using an app like Root Explorer, make your way into System, then the CSC folder. In here, you'll see customer.xml. Rename this file to customer.xml.bak, and restart. Voila, notification bubbles!

Is there maybe something lines that in Customer.xml to activate the bubble, but allow us to kill the instruction?
Just for the information, I'm running CleanROM 3.5, and I don't get the tutorial notifications. Might just be ROM specific. I don't know what lines in the actual .xml file trigger the notification bubbles, I just know that this method helps to get them back. Sorry, guys!

It is the existence of Customer.xml itself that hides the bubbles. You can delete the contents of the file and it still doesn't bring back the bubbles. There is probably a settings line that needs to be added to show them.

On a rooted Stock ROM you can freeze the Help 1.0 application inside of TitaniumBackup. After a reboot you will have to go through the three lock screen tips once more but then you should not see them again.

Getting the bubbles back is an easy fix. Using an app like Root Explorer, make your way into System, then the CSC folder. In here, you'll see customer.xml. Rename this file to customer.xml.bak, and restart. Voila, notification bubbles!

So I went ahead and did this. I remember this from an older Samsung maybe my gs3 had it or my fascinate. I don't know maybe this used to have it but I like it. What does the use popup note selection do in the lock screen settings its been checked forever but I've never seen anything happen.
