[Q] 3D iManager - Task Switcher - is anyone interested? - Windows Mobile Apps and Games

Hello. I am developing fast and tiny Task Switcher using Direct3D hardware acceleration. youtube.com/watch?v=DS1VgKyg3j4&hd=1 is video illustrating its work. Is anyone interested in it?
Thanks.

Looks great! Would be cool to have a tiny x on there bottomrightcorner to close the tasks

It looks very interesting...

Very interested in this. You look to be using your start menu hardkey to operate - might it be better to use longpress home key so Start Menu key still available for that function?

Impressive !

Very impressive ! Keep up this good work, I'm very interested by this

..

One word to say : awesome . I can't wait to see this on my TG01 .

It looks very well with impressive effects!
Looking forward to know more

Rom iphone

Hey ,
I saw a HTC video with iphone interface on Dailymotion.
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4uaqo_qtek-s200-spv-m600_tech
As you see, this basic rom with differents applications is very fast and stable.
I search this basic rom. Anybody knows what is the version that this men installs on his HTC? For the differents applications, I found by myself
Thank's a lot for your answers and sorry for me English... I'm a french guy...
that's not a special rom, it's just a ui software named" PointUI"
more info here:
http://pointui.com/
Thank's a lot
This is AWESOME!!!!
It's so much faster than iFonz and Throttle Launcher.....
I keep on tryin' right now.....
Does anybody know which Internet Browser the guy in the video use?

this application is awesome.
test it now.
Cool interface !
I tested it ! Very cool and very fast !
Internet Browser is "Picsel Browser" !
Smooth use and easy on the eyes
I've been using it for two days... it's not glitchy like the Throttle (which I like very much nevertheless), far beyond the iFonz... but it's not really a iPhone style other than the slide lock - though not as customizable - but uses far less resources; the weather forecasts are spot on with decent graphics.
The interface takes some getting used to - like navigating Applications - sometimes the scroll is so fast I miss the app that I'm looking for.
Good bit of kit, maybe someone could integrate this into a ROM... if that would be possible
Cheers!
yes it's possible

I figured you'd know the answer to that... hope to see something sweet from you in the near future - your ROMs and MODs are always a pleasure
I'm not sure if the creators would give consent for it :S...
PointUI is a very great app.. If they only would make it more complete with some more features it would be perfect as it is really fast!
is it just an application?
can i install and use it without flashing?
thanx
sure you can.
Just go to their website and download it
Does anybody has a link for picsel browser?
I'm afraid, it is difficult to get....

P.s.: got it

[TIP] WKtask and WM6.5.x settings

Hi all,
WM 6.5.x is really nice to use but as a big lack of task manager.
As I couldn't find anything that works well I gave a shot at WKtask, thinking it wouldn't work... I WAS WRONG !
I already posted this on the Diamond BSB Rom thread, but I thought I'd share it for people with other devices. Hope this helps some people !
WKtask creates somekind of virtual OK button where it used to be on WM older builds. It can be set to various actions (OK/Close, Minimise, Launcher, etc...). That button is skinnable but unfortunatly covers up the last 2 digits of the time... so we make it transparent.
By changing, the position, the skin, Icon style and colors you will be able to adapt it to you're theme. (Use the settings in the posted screenshots to get what I did or play around to adapt it your way)
What do we get after this ?
If you use the same settings than mine, what you'll get is :
- A windows pc style taskbar.
- WM OK button, minimise applications and works simply as defined.
- WKtask invisible virtual OK is set to terminate applications
I haven't tested all the functions but everything seems to work ok, i tested :
- battery Gauge
- launcher
- hiding applications status
- exceptions
- skinning
It seems that WKTask disables the new WM6.5.x top ruban with Battery, network, etc icons... personaly I don't care but for those who do...
Thanks to Waku for a great little tool : WKTask Homepage
Thanks to MiToNiOeS for iPhoneToday : Original thread
My personal iPhoneToday theme : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5095211&postcount=2781
That's it ... hope it helps

This is such a shame!! i would have loved to try this, but if it disabled the Topbar i cant use the WM Notification Manager as i have removed the HTC Enhanced Notifications!!
Is there anyway to get this to work as it is not really a solution if it breaks something else!
Really nice idea tho, i would love to have a try with it!
Can i ask, what version of total commander are you using in the screenshots? all the versions i have tryed are really hard to use on the HD2!!
thanks for your work and answers in advance

Did not help much it is covering icons

I no longer use BSB G Rom, I now use Benko's Ultra Light
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=606064
Some small things are not working fine on BSB'G... and this rom is tiny -50Mo
And, thanx to YOU, I use Sashimi so it really doesn't take long to flash and be up and running...
Anyways, by settings the right offset to half the screen if I press anywhere on the icons the rubbon seems to work (for now)
Another "kind of" workaround would be by using the WKTask launcher to access the functions you normally get with the rubbon.
On other this about Benko's Rom is that it includes a basic but perfectly working task manager and associated to Ameba a long press on the start button brings it up
See screenshot
As from Totalcommander it's 2.52 beta 2 available here

Sashimi rocks!!! best auto installer available!! shame the dev got permanent ban from this site for making it!
Apparently it is warez! It uses a trial version of SKTools through the command line and because of that its warez.

[APP] turnOffAnimation - A screen off animation for Windows Mobile (like Gingerbread)

Hello everyone! Saw this video of the Android 2.3 screen fade out animation, and thought I could maybe cook something up for Windows Mobile. Here's what I came up with.
Granted, it's fairly useless, but it sure does look cool. Tested on my HTC HD2.
Instructions
Just install the cab file and (if you want) set Send Key to turnOffAnimation.lnk, and you're set.
Note this will not replace anything on your device, so it should be safe. Let me know what you think!
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPEbC_dzdWg
Download: http://windowsphonehacker.com/crt_screen_fade_out_animation_on_windows_mobile-11-17-10.php
Testing it out now. Looks nice man. Good job.
**EDIT**
Ok, so it works well on the TP2 also, but a bit slower then on HD2 of course.
Great work, but not really practical for slower devices I guess.
Unless one doesn't mind the extra wait.
Anyhow, very nice implementation of a useless(as you say), but very cool feature. Nice work.
This is totally useless, but very cool!
It's a pity that on my TP2 at the end of the animation it gives back an error.
Please see attachment.
Anyway thanks!
Sweet thing! But I use pocketshield lockscreen and the HD2 does not get locked when using this. It just turns off the screen. Could just be a setting in PS i guess. Anyway, thanks!

Cool feature.
Thanks!
After receiving some feedback, I want to know: Is there demand for a version with faster animation?
I played with the settings for a while, and couldn't decide if I wanted it more noticeable, or simply faster.
Also, this would probably help performance on non-snapdragon device. If there's demand for it, let me know, and I'll release a second cab today. No time to make a settings dialog, sorry.
On my TP2 (non-snapdragon device) a faster animation would be welcome!
@Jaxbot:
Useless so as you say , but really cool.
I have added your exe file to the CHT_softkey_lock. Also the original image for the softkey is used and i have a new way to set my phone in standby mode. This is done very easy with the CHTEditor from the CHT Suite. It can be added to the functions of CHTScheduler. Very nice done...
This is NOT useless, it is a gimmik what brings more fun... thank you for sharing this useless thing with us
Looks awesome on my HD2!
Would be cool to have it replace the default screen off button

Jaxbot,
Great little app, but sadly does not work on my Omnia Pro B7610, i also get the error message.
So please do faster animation if possible so it can work!
thanks

I would certainly welcome a little faster animation. Thank you so much Jaxbot. This app is simple and Fantastic!
cool app!
waiting for fix on the glitch.
Trying to find the best way to dispose of the used Bitmap objects in the program. Strangely, bmp.Dispose(); simply crashes with an ObjectDisposedException, and setting it to null doesn't help the memory problem (Which is why it crashes sometimes, by the way.)
If anyone has some suggestions, let me know. The app is written in C#, fyi
Updated version, should run faster on older devices and clean up some memory bugs:
http://windowsphonehacker.com/files/crtanimation_fast.cab
Thank you!
It's working great on my TP2. This was a great idea.
May i sugest another useless idea:
when we rotate from portrait to landscape and vice-versa, it would be cool that during the time that the device takes to change, we could see some sort of animation.
Once again thank you for sharing youre work.
TurnOnAnimation...???
Thanks for new version!
Please, let me make a suggestion, for a turnOnAnimation...
What I mean is an animation when we open applications that we have selected to have this animation (in some kind of turnOnAnimation Configurator, or using the turnOnAnimation before opening the application using something like mortscript)
Hi Jaxbot,
there is fast c solution to resize images in different directions. I have found this for meltwaters RSS tab. Please ask him for the source, because he have done more work on it to make it perfect. Possible there is also a solution, or to do some tests....
Really fast on my Omnia
A little glitch is at the wake up, i seeing the end of the animation a bit.
Thanks

Feature Request: Quick Settings: Swipe to switch

Hello Developer Team,
I absolutely enjoy using Paranoid 4.3 BETA3 on my Nexus 5. Performance is awesome and even the battery life improved by a lot in comparison to the stock ROM.
But there is one feature I really miss from my old S3 with OmniRom:
The possibility to easily switch between the notification drawer and the quicksettings by swiping the bar at the bottom.. Due to the large screen it is always a little struggle to reach the change button in the upper right position.
I hope you can consider to implement this feature, it would erase one of the last disturbing things in the ROM (for me)
Thanks and Greetings,
Fabian

thats way far from stock like and its a hack
we're not implementing it EOS
ok.
But it still feels like something that could be a feature in 4.5 or 5.0, that was what I mean -designed for common android user-
For example 'immersive mode' or 'pie controls' are not stock-like experiences.
I don't mean that they are useless features, but they don't look very natural to me they look more like a 'hack' designed only for 'some' users.
That's my view though.

Any emulators that are good for using the game pad?

I have downloaded a few but they don't have good compatibility
Use RetroArch it is the best multi emulator front-end around
If you are looking for N64, Mupen64PIus FZ works like a charm in dual display.
MyBoy works without any customization.
Thanks all, I will check them out
Here is a nice lil demonstration of 3DS emulation on the LG G8x
Sorry to bother.
How did you customize the home screen? How to disappear navigation bar in the two screens and shortcut to wide mode ?
I cannot have wide mode in the home screen. The right screen become black...
Great customization !!!

I'll be doing a tutorial and be making an XDA thread soon.
Was a bit of a complicated process at first EVERYTHING I managed to do and figure out. I'll have some more info soon just been busy with family and Christmas being so close.
I'll make sure I get everything together and hopefully as easy as possible a process to achieve a similar setup
Thanks a lot.
Merry Christmas.
PPSSPP works great !
Does it work by default on Wide View, or are you remapping the controls on gamepad on the other screen.
