Im on rogers x10a and did the global fw 2.1 update and other than setting apn manually, its great.
The only other function i miss from 1.6 was hanging up the phone call with the power button.

Yeah, I have no issues and I didn't even have to manually reset the APN.
The hardest part was rooting (simply due to the process) and restoring some apps. I have no bugs - though the phone isn't exactly light years better either. I'ld call the improvements minor.
First I had the java issue and fixed it. Then it just hung mid-flash. annoying so ill just wait

I have bought my u20i about a month ago because I thought I wouldn't have to wait long for the android update... and now look...
SE HAVE DELAYED 2.1 FOR A MONTH, I AM RAGING
Which brings me onto my request, can someone please get in touch with a developer to attempt to crack the bootloader and give us 2.2 (because i'm sure SE will never unlock it for us, thats for sure).
and the final thing is my question, i have noticed that roadsync keeps loading itself up every 5 seconds after I kill the task. Is there a way i could stop this? (yes I know I could remove the app as I have root but I have heard that it can cause pc companion not to download updates - stupid SE)
so yeah any help out there?

Already people working on it, it's not exactly a trivial exercise, just hope SE left a nice gaping hole somewhere, else it may take a very long time.

Updates should be fine, I've moved forward on very stripped firmware multiple times and you can always make a backup. There seems to be an issue going back in revisions via pc companion, though I don't suspect it's related to roadsync.

ok i dont even know where to start... I dont usuallypost that many threads *****ing and complaining about my phone.. but enough is enough...
I haven't rooted...(well I did a while ago BUT)... I took part in that beta testing update crap so it unrooted me.. but these problems I have been having are since the LAST "update" which was well over two months ago now (I THINK)...
1st problem I am having is randomly I cannot input text into ANY thing on the phone... I am using smart keyboard pro.. but even when i change input methods it still does not register anything i am typing... in fact when i switch the phone to landscape mode the text box goes dark grey...
2nd also when this happens... nothing will happen when i attempt to make a phone call... i click the name .. nothing happens.. i go into dialer... i cant input the number i try other methods of dialing out nothing happens....
those are the two biggest problems I have as I need to communicate with my clients all day long i cannot have this type of inconsistency.
ohh and also the finger print scanner just plain doesn't work when i go through the process of setting it up.. it wont even register the "test" swipes... its like its broken all together.... any one else having ANY of these problems?? please help me
I've never had any of those problems ever and I've had my atrix since launch date. Maybe you have a deffective device call and see if your provider will do anything about.

Problem is I bought the phone back in march from at&t unlocked it using it on Rogers the phone hasn't always done this only with In the last month and a half or do but it has gotten progressively worse to the point where it is so unreliable Ive had to switch back to my n1 which even though is only first Gen snapdragon technology running cm7... is making my this dual core look pretty ****ty right now...

to be honest... and i know it sounds pretty stupid.. but... i really dont know how to flash the sbf... i know what it is followed the thread on it when it first came out... but never put the effort into figuring out how to actually do it... and right now i just don't have the time to sit down and do that.... (lazy.. it is what it is) but that could very well fix my problem i guess right... ugghh

If you feel adventurous enough, try disassembling the device and reseating the LCD/digitizer cable.
I had an issue with a Samsung galaxy s vibrant about a month ago that would register touch inputs when it was just sitting on the table. I did what I suggested above and the problem was solved.

LOL! I mean, why don't u just go back to it and making useless comparisons?
If you took some time to read, your problem would already be solved.
1. Your digitalizer may not be working well. Guarantee will cover this.
2. SBF from scratch to discard a software issue.
None of the issues you are experiencing is related to the phone being a dual-core mobile or not.
I've been able to solve some problems by reading and taking the advice from the forums.
If your Atrix looks ****ty, it's not on it. Mine shines!

C'mon man, flashing an SBF is simple! The instructions on XDA are very detailed. I am a lifelong Mac user, and even I figured out how to flash an SBF via Windows. It would not take more than a couple hours to download all the stuff you need, and re-flash an SBF. What's your build number now?

so today i was helping a girl with her phone and it was on sense 3.0 and it was saying she had an update from htc software update but her battery was to low it said it needed more than 35% battery life so it can be updated , so i didnt really see what update it was , can someone confirm???
No update on mine...but then again I'm in Puerto Rico, so it might come later who knows. I doubt its the ICS update though lol I dont think HTC would troll us by saying we wont get it till later in the yr then just drop the bomb on us

I got that message...been seeing it on my phone for about a week now...but all i try to update it, it REFUSES to update . It keeps going to the black screen with the little droid and then it stays there til the battery dies....HELP!!!

My 2 months old phone is already broken! Smartphone without sensor is not useful.

Did you calibrate your G-sensor? if not, go to display and calibrate.

I tried the sensor calibration but error msg showing calibration aborted. I tried factory reset twice. Finally the sensor started working. TMO is aware of this issue faced by many Amaze owners. They are building a case for HTC to send update.
I just got my Amaze yesterday. There was an update that started last month- brings WiFi calling to the phone. If you have that one, there is no other for TMobile

The person I talk to on the other end hears what I say 3 to 5 seconds after I say it into the phone. This has been going on for days now and also happens with a friends Amaze at his own place.
What in the world am I suppossed to do now , since its impossible to have a normal conversation with people.
Anyone else have this issue? I am about this sell this phone now. I am not rooted and stock so I cant revert back to GB

I read that app only works for when you pick up the phone and there is a delay. Ill give it a try though. It gets extremely annoying talking to someone and then they start talking thinking I am not talking and my 5 second delay cuts them off.

Yup... Known issue since the first leak... It gets worse as conversation goes on. I just said **** it and installed quick-sense and selected to remove WiFi calling. I can't believe tmo put the option in a device on gb, it didn't work, so they update to ics, and don't fix it? Smh fail

Anyways, I talked to the tech department about it and the girl knew everything about it.
She set me up with a service ticket and they would check things out, but we both dont think much of it.
Shes going to call me back in 3 days. She said that its not a device issue, that its an OS issue, which I already knew.
She said after the 3 days we will probably do the warranty exchange. She doesnt know if the replacement phones will have will ICS or GB though but if its GB, dont update to ICS because its a known wifi calling bug. That is if they even have the amaze to replace with. I dont mind waiting because I am curious what there going to say.

I dont get service in my apartment. I rely on it to make all my phone calls when I am home. Without it, its almost useless. Having a conversation where the person on the other end doesnt answer you for a few seconds cuz its delayed is pretty annoying. Not to mention when they start talking again because they think I havent answered, and then it cuts them off, and there is a WTF moment lol
Yeah this is annoying I've had people click on me because they think I'm playing with them or calling to mess with them.. Hopefully tmo fixes the issue soon

Yeah I just dont wanna go through the trouble of signal booster when Wifi calling is supposed to work just fine yano? The girl said alot of people have been calling with issues about the new update and there working with HTC to try and correct them.
I am running stock on my phone. I was thinking about messing with the phone but I dont like the idea of messing up the warranty when I use it a few times during the year

Of course I told them I did it to avoid that nonsense, but now I am considering it. Just dont wanna lose all the work I put into with using facebook pictures for peoples faces when they call. Apps I can always re download
Whats even more annoying is I had the phone for 1 month and havent even begun to pay me 20 dollar a month for 20 months payments! So in the end if they send me another, Im paying for a refurb phone lol. Honestly thinking about when the GS3 comes out, selling my amaze, paying off what I owe with the money I get for it, then restarting a payment plan all over for the GS3. Yeah thats overthinking right there.

I wonder if people dont realize the problem cause they dont talk on the phone much.
My wireless N linksys router is 4 years old also.
Also, I see that my lynksys router firmware is from 2008 and has an update. I wonder if updating the firmware might help. Its just a firm believer when it comes to routers, if it aint broke, dont fix it lol

So in reality, rooting a phone only affects the manufacturer warranty? Something I will never and have never needed to use.
I have premium handset protection with T-Mobile. If I need to exchange through t-mobile or asurion, all I need to do is unroot it right?

to make the long story short i called verizon on 6/10/12 who ended up calling motorola on 3 way to get me a new phone, not a refurbished. (i have white bars when using anything that requires the internet). Before the verizon lady called moto (which also has a razr) we had a convo about our razr's and how great they are. i told her i herd the ics update was coming out on the 12th and she had no idea about the update release date. So after talking to the moto rep for about 5 minutes about my data signal issues. the verizon rep says "so when will the ics software be released" and i was like "yea, i herd it was comin out on the 12th". The moto guys says hold on and i can hear some typing on the computer. Then the moto rep says "there is no official release date for the ics software. it shows that it is in the planning stages" So with that said i dont believe that it wil be out today. unless its some kind of secret or something. i know that ive seen it say "in development phase" on the moto website. i jus left it alone. Moto didnt want to send me a new phone, he jus offered to repair it for free which wasnt help cause he asked the verizon rep if she could get me a loaner phone. she told him that we (verizon) can just send me another refurbished phone and ill send back the one im having problems with. Moto was of no help at all. i hope that helps anyone out thats expecting the update to come out today. I really hope that I am wrong but I just wanted to share my phone convo with verizon and moto while on 3 way a couple of days ago.

me too but i had problems with every phone i rooted. i always had signal issues. ima jus wait it out. there are apps for everything that u would want a rooted phone to do. all the ics leaks are not 100% ready like camera funtions and not able to receive updates. i say jus leave it alone for now. it will come eventually. i may be wrong about it coming out today, or it might come out tomorrow. good things comes to those who waits.

Not that I believe the update will release today, tomorrow, or next week, but you do have to consider who you're talking to. You were speaking to someone in service. Only a hand full of departments know actual release dates of updates/new products. The company I work for is the same way. We keep new product releases *hush* *hush* until just before launch. Then we flood our company with info just a week or so before launch and ask that they keep quiet until launch date.
In short, the release probably wont happen today. But you were talking to the wrong person to find out. The fact that they requested you send your phone in for service instead of making the call for a replacement tells me that they're probably not high enough on the ladder to know much in terms of releases.
