0.5 - rename it "com.android.vending.shokmah.apk" (without the quotes)
1-activate FlightMode
2-goto settings > applications > manage applications > [menu bouton] filter > all
2.5 - select market then uninstall update, and force stop
3- activate usb debugging and launch adb on your computer then type these line
Code:
adb shell
su
mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/mtdblock0 /system

rm /system/app/Vending.apk
rm -r /data/data/com.android.vending
rm /data/dalvik-cache/[email protected]@[email protected]
cat /sdcard/com.android.vending.shokmah.apk > /system/app/Vending.apk
For rm /data/dalvik-cache/[email protected]@[email protected] don't pay attention if you got an error !
If you found "adfree android" or 3544 (or +) results for video , it's worked.
If you want to thanks me, just choose the megaupload link.
Greetz:
Inteks for the old version
Orion for His Easy APK Disassembler

and what exactly are the benefits with this version compared to that one: showthread.php?t=742608
or that one: showthread.php?t=645286&highlight=market
i still dont know why it keeps saying, that im not allowed to "post outside links" when i write a link to another topic...

I dont know but inteks's version was "erased" by market updater so I take the update and Fake the resolution.
New users Are not allowed to post links
that's why I put mine with code "tag"
sorry for the english

Thanks, but there is no com.android.vending.apk in /system/app. Do you mean Vending.apk?

yes, mine disapearred after some tests, then I push it to com.android.vending.apk and it work well.
User report me that with Vending.Apk name it also work.

It works great! Can confirm it's the new version 2002012.

Thanks shokmah

Thanks for this shokmah!!

Whats the difference? ive done the patch, but i dont see any different...

I don't know the entire difference Between the Stock original One, but It may add new features such as Instant search, apk auto-update option, and many others features.
The patched version allow you to view app which require 320×480 screen Display, some of theses apps work great on our 240×320 screen Display.
I may add support for greater Screen resolution but more you Increase Resolution, More unlocked app will not work smoothly.
Sorry for the english, it's not my native language !
EDIT :
to verify if it work :
search for adfree android and you should found the app
search for video you should have 3544 found result

thanks a lot!
Now I can download "adfree android" app, but "video" string result get 2202 result..
ps: Xperia X10 mini pro, and 2.1

maybe it's different for other , I've french market

Worked for me
Thanks!

you know it works if you search "video" and see results for "video ringtones"

"video ringtones" : 46 matches

Thanks. Worked for me.
When i search "video", i get 3368 results.
How can i prevent the market from getting self-updated in the future? I dont want to disable the data traffic for ever

simplest way to hack the market is here by me..http://bit.ly/9E3Bii

Root explorer's way seem to be simplest way , but adb's way is powerful and completely free and normaly you should pay for RoOt Explorer .
@MonteChristo1979 : you have to delete marketupdater.apk in /system/app, for new update I or Someone will post a patched Vending.apk again

the market is not the problem ! its the marketupdater !!! delete it and everything is fine

my scripts aren't for UPGRADE FW, it goal is to
root (have an administrator access),
help to install MANY applications in one time
help to delete some constructor's applications (who get your device slowly)
Help to istall a theme (because it's a litle bit difficult on FW 026)
Help to istall a Bootscreen (because it's a litle bit difficult on FW 026)
Then you can test it... dont worry, i tested with my french testers...

If you want to be on 026, try this method (Debrand) :
download the FW 026 here
unrar it, there 2 files..
launch SEUS, do a repair... SEUS will download the actual FW of your X10, flash it with it..
when done, go to C:/ProgramData/Sony Ericsson/SEMC OMSI Module/db/13740270/blob_fs (on Windows Vista/7 )
there 2 big files (16Mo and 130Mo)
copy the NAME of le 16mo's files in this directory (SEUS Directory).. past it on the 16Mo of the downloaded FW on my link. do the samething with the bigger file (130Mo)...
Replace the to files in SEUS directory with the 2 files downloaded...(overwrite)
launch SEUS and flash it again with the repair method...
It's done... your X10 will be on 026 after the flash...
Ok. You can use each functionality separately... try to change a theme or bootscreen ? There no danger..
It can be in both section... because it help to apply a theme AND to root a 02x fw.
It's not the probem.
I just want to know if there somebody has use my script ?
If not why you are afraid ?
I let my work here 1 month again... after, i delete it.. be cause i dont want to use this forum storage for something that nobody use it..

anything else, goes here
This thread are meant for bug/problem solution and reported bug list of 2.2 custom ROM which i will try to manage, so people are not posting same bug, and asking for same solution all over again in X10 Custom ROM AOSP thread.
Limitation
Cannot Mount via USB
2.2 Custom ROM put the SYSTEM partition on your phone memory and the DATA partition in your SD card. That is why you cannot dismount the SD card from Android to mount to your PC.
No App2SD
2.2 Custom ROM is still running on 2.1 Custom Kernel which not supporting this.
Bug list
#0001 - WiFi not working - Fixed on 2.2
#0002 - Random android.process.media force close - Fixed on 2.2
#0003 - Home button not working, and no Lock Screen - Fixed on 2.2

#0008 - Facebook Contact Sync not available
#0009 - CPU Governor set to performance by default
Solutions for bugs
#0001 - How to enable WiFi on 2.2 Custom ROM
1. Try to enable WiFi, of course it will not work.. just do it.
2. WiFi will goes off automatically
3. Run
Code:
adb shell /system/bin/wlan_tool
4. If the adb stucks, just press CTRL+C
5. Repeat step 4 until you crash the phone
6. After reboot, your WiFi will work.
or
Code:
adb shell killall servicemanager

#0002 - android.process.media FC solution
0.0.1 compiled with prefilled databases which invalid for your phone
Code:
adb shell
cd /data/data/com.android.providers.media/databases
rm *
reboot
or this will ensure no invalid data anymore but will remove fixes for bug #0003
Code:
adb shell
cd /data/
rm -r data
mkdir data
reboot

#0003 - Fix Home Button & Lock Screen
Download sqlite here
First pull the db file first.
Code:

#0004 - Solving installing APK problems
Currently the 2.2 Custom ROM does not support app2sd, and some APK may configure it self to be installed in sdcard.
So we force it to install on internal with code below
Code:
adb shell pm setInstallLocation 1
adb install -l com.rovio.angrybirds.apk

#0007 - Fixing SD card mount command to show unicode letters
Modify your chargemon file so its enables utf8 for non ascii letter.
You need to do this on 2.1 ROM, not 2.2 ROM. The file is located in /system/bin
look for this
Code:
mount -t vfat -o rw,noatime,nodiratime /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 /sd
and change into this
Code:
mount -t vfat -o rw,noatime,nodiratime,utf8 /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 /sd
Notes:
You must use a Unix/Linux format capable text editor for this. Notepad will not work.
You can try ultraedit for it.

#0008 - Fix Facebook Sync
Download the ContactsProvider.apk here, then install to your Android using push command
Code:
adb push ContactsProvider.apk /system/app/ContactsProvider.apk

By default is Performance, fast but wasting too much battery.
Use SetCPU and set to OnDemand.

2.2 Custom ROM FAQ
How and what happened if upgrade from 0.0.1 to 0.0.2?
Just copy data.img and system.img replacing your current one in FreeX10 folder.
This will replace all your 0.0.1 data, be sure to back up first with Titanium Backup
WiFi is running and connected, but cannot browser
This problem seems to be occurring on selected few.. You can set static IP to your android.
Go to Settings -> Wireless ... -> WiFi, then press menu button. From there you can se static IP
Is there a possibility of Timescape and Mediascape for 2.2 Custom ROM
The answer is yes, its possible.
I managed to install Mediascape.apk into 2.2 Custom ROM, but cannot run.
The reason it cannot run is because UX is using a lot of things in Framework-res.apk, images, layout, styles, and etc which cannot be copied directly from SE 2.1 into 2.2 AOSP. It requires someone to properly put all values, resolving conflicts inside Framework-res.apk before the UX can run, which will take months or at least weeks if someone dedicated his or her day job for it. Then after that we still need to deal with external files. So in conclusion, while it still possible, i don't think anyone will do it because of the time demanding process.
I want to help devs solving bugs, i found one but i don't know what actually happend.
While usb connected, from command prompt, type
Code:
adb logcat > logcat.txt
This will output a lot of debugging info into logcat.txt file, later if you find bug, you take a look inside the file.
See anything error or info related to the bug, and post here.. When writing the logcat.txt output, but them inside
Code:
brackets.
Do not post everything.. post few lines related to the bugs.
2.2 Custom ROM Testing Tools
Service Menu
WARNING: DO NOT INSTALL THIS UNLESS YOU DO DEVS, END USER DO NOT INSTALL
PURPOSE: MAYBE FOR TESTING DEVICE FEATURE, MIGHT BREAK SYSTEM APPS
Enable SE Service Menu for device testing. For devs only. You need to put adb stuff in the directory for install.bat to run.
Install framework
Code:
adb push permissions /system/etc/permissions
adb push lib /system/framework
adb reboot
Install applications
Code:
adb install app\bootinfo3.apk
adb install app\ServiceMenu2.apk
adb install app\com.laac.launcher.servicemenu.apk
Nice work. THis is handy
As i posted in the Main thread!
I think some of the force closes, (mainly acore and google framework) and the fact that the market crashes, come down to importing a vcard!
I imported vcard, get many force closes, market stops working, I clean install and don't install the vcard. Everything functions fine.
I do believe this is the reason!

[krn.module] CIFS kernel module for X10 GB (SAMBA shares)

Hello guys,
I've compiled the CIFS module for our X10 (stock kernel version for 2.3.3, that is 2.6.29-00054-g5f01537 ).
Introduction
CIFS is for allowing to mount SAMBA/CIFS shares from Windows (mostly), so that they appear like a folder on the phone.
Specifically, you can watch movies on your X10 from a share, without first copying them to the phone. In fact you can mount any SAMBA share and do all operations with it.
There are two modules that do the job: cifs.ko (which is the main one) as well as nls_utf8.ko which just provides UTF-8 support for file/folder names within the shares.
Installation
Once you have unpacked the zip and extracted the two modules into the folder of your choice, the commands are these:
Code:
adb push "nls_utf8.ko" /sdcard/nls_utf8.ko
adb push "cifs.ko" /sdcard/cifs.ko
adb shell
su
mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
cd /system/lib/modules
cp /sdcard/nls_utf8.ko .
cp /sdcard/cifs.ko .
insmod nls_utf8.ko
insmod cifs.ko
mkdir /sdcard/cifs
mount -o username=<yours>,password=<yours>,iocharset=utf8 -t cifs //<serverip>/<sharename> /sdcard/cifs
Now you can cd to your /sdcard/cifs and see the files shared there.
Observations
1. nls_utf8.ko is not mandatory and if your files don't have UTF-8 characters and only ascii, you can skip it IF you remove the isocharset=utf8 from the mount command above.
2. Music will stutter with all players I've tried. found an opinion that might be android lowlevel subsystem for reading mp3 files, and that they don't buffer enough - and given the latency over WIFI, this will create pauses / stuttering in the music. However, you can still copy the audio files, etc.
3. Movie playing works! I've tried RockPlayer for few minutes and didn't have an issue (seems it handles buffering very well) since it is software and thus they don't rely on some Android codec / etc.
4. Skip works! Again in Rock Player, you can skip in the movie and it takes a bit to skip there, but it does.
5. umount usually fails, since I assume, Android apps don't really exit and don't really free the resources. Once a file open, it doesn't let me un-mount saying that the resource / device is busy.

Hi viulian,
Thanks for the module. Would you mind if I include it in the hotfix for my rom?

Absolutely no problem Z please do.
This module definetly requires an app to manage CIFS, mounting them with selected user/pass/path.
You can try cifs manager, its good.
Btw i thought the new sources weren't released yet.
I'm using old 2.1 sources and I could build these modules using Sony's blog post about how to compile kernels (with their CodeSourcery compiler) and a bit of Google foo.
Btw, I have another one ready, the cpufreq_interactive one which I'm creating a new thread now.
Later edit:
Although initially I read posts complaining about Sony's decision to keep the old 2.1 kernel (2.6.29) instead of the recommended (2.6.32) for GingerBread, it turned out that it was actually a smart move
Basically, the cifs module at least was much more difficult to port, due to the slow_work.ko module that needed to be compiled as well and inserted before.
viulian said:
Hello guys,
I've compiled the CIFS module for our X10 (stock kernel version for 2.3.3, that is 2.6.29-00054-g5f01537 ).

Yes - if you handle copying the module to sdcard separately and then you become root in terminal, then it's the same.

When you start the terminal, you notice you have a $ sign displayed to the left of the command prompt. That means you do not have the rights to do most things, since $ is for standard (limited) user.
What you need is to type command
Code:
su
And then your prompt will change to the dash sign #.
That means now you have full control over the phone, and you can start typing the commands.
Please double check what you do, and that you typed correctly - otherwise, as root, you might render your phone useless. Do not attempt if you don't feel confident enough and that you know what you are doing.

[Q] GPS-Fix CM 10.1(Android 4.2) for Atrix (Epinter)

Hey there,
first I have to say - I'm new here - and yes, I have searched for my issue in this forum and elsewhere, but I didn't find a solution. So I decided to register here and ask you experts about helping me to fix my problem:
I'm on Epinters-Rom CM 10.1(Android 4.2) (26/08 Built) and having a problem with a fast GPS-Fix. Always when I use GPS the first time a day it lasts about 5-10Min to get a Sat-Fix. I have done some research about this problem and found this:
In a post on a german forum (I'm from Germany) for Defy Froyo and GPS bug I encountered that there are system files that contain specific configurations for GPS or direct downloading instructions of "ancillary data" (such as A-GPS Data). However, there are no configuration files with the name "location" in Epinters-Rom as they are mentioned in this thread, but I noticed a file in my system folder (system / ect / ) called "gps.config".
Doing more research about this file, I found a post here on XDA in epinters CM10.1 thread from August. Here is mentioned, that Epinters "gps.config" has no entry to an so called "NTP server. He made this entry and now the GPS fix is quick. I didnt really see that Epinter commented this, but a year before, Epinter said (at another Rom) that the NTP server entry is no longer necessary (without further explanation).
Then I remembered (coming from Neutrino-Rom) that Neutrino has had an "GPS-Addon" that was separate flashable - a fix for every single country. So I looked at the the GPS addon of Neutrino (Germany) and behold: When flashing this GPS addon it seems, that just the "gps.config" will be fixed with the following entry for Germany:
Code:
NTP_SERVER de.pool.ntp.org
NTP_SERVER = 0.de.pool.ntp.org
NTP_SERVER = 1.de.pool.ntp.org

In comparison to that, Epinters "gps.config" is only:

XTRA_SERVER_3 = http://xtra3.gpsonextra.net/xtra.bin

SUPL_PORT = 7276
Do you think I could risk simply replace the two files? Or is it better to flash the file of neutrino? Or to edit the file by Epinter right? Or at least nothing at all? I do not even want to fabricate a Brick ...
So you techies from this forum! Can you help me?
Thanks for reading this and sorry for my poor english... its not my native language!
Regards,
Asmaron
PS: The Germany.zip in the appendix contains the files that would be flashed with neutrinos Rom (including the "gps.config"). The other single "gps.config.zip" is that of Epinters Rom. Simply open it in Editor/TextEdit or similar programs and you can see the above entries.

For me, epinter's cm10.1 was the first time gps lock in in about 5 to 10 seconds, even if i was inside my house...
perhaps is better (previous backup) to edit the file and change the ntp servers to match your coutry's pools. then try,..
on cm7 i use an app called gps status to force calibration of the compass and to force inject fresh agps data, which helps a little

Hey!
Thanks for replying!
I use the GPS Status App too (and tried many other GPS Apps in market) and resetted agps-data many times an refreshed it. It helps a little but just for the moment and after one day not using GPS the fix lasts really long...
I would try to edit the "gps.conf" file but I use the Atrix as my main device, so I dont wanna brick it... Do you think, that editing this file will not force an brick? And what do you think is the best:
a) Editing Epinters "gps.conf" (of course after backing up the org. file, and everything else),
b) Exchange Epinters file with Neutrinos, or
c) Flashing Neutrinos "Germany.zip"?
Or even an absolute other solution?

Sorry, that was on Gb, I edited the ntp servers to the ones off my country (Argentina). I was using root explorer at the time, but in cm10 the stock file manager can do it without problems (I used it to edit touchpad.cfg to fix raindrop bug). Only thing is you need to give it access via the app settings (can't remember as I'm back on cm7)
Hey!
Meanwhile I flashed the ROM from "Zn7mkUKzN1r8aCIV" where the flash is working. The fix lasts also very long and wasnt even stable. The entries of the "gps.conf" of "Zn7mkUKzN1r8aCIV" are exactly the same as the ones of epinter. So i tried to edit the "gps.conf":
- Editing the strings from the neutrino file (check OP), had the result that i didnt get a fix in even a half an hour.
- Restoring the "gps.conf" has the result of getting a fix after some minutes but not very stable.
- Now I have a edit of the "gps.conf" with the strings nlabrad mentioned in the post i told you before and the NTP-Server-Entries of Neutrino for germany (without blanks between the "="). Now i get a fix after some minutes that is stable, but the accuracy gets not better than 100 meters (328 feet). It stucks here and gets not better even after more than half an hour having a stable fix. To be exact it gets not better and not even worser. It stucks exactly at 100 meter accuracy.
Now i will test the GPS fix from that is mentioned here and i will report later!

Asmaron
Did it!
Hey there!
I did it!
First it didn't work to exchange the "libnmea.so" from Krystian mentioned in the post above using the integrated file explorer. I allways got an Error when editing/copying/deleting the orig. "libnmea.so" in the "system/lib" folder. After that error somtimes GPS didn't work anymore at all (cant start it) or nothing was changed to the accuracy of the GPS. Well I have seen that by exchanging the file you have to set the permissions new (chmod 644) but I wasn't able to change it without getting an error.
So I tried another way: I extracted the Files of Zn7mkUKzN1r8aCIV's ROM and exchanged the "libnmea.so" org. file with the file from Krystian. I also replaced the "gps.conf" with an modified "gps.conf" containing the Neutrinos Strings from the Germany "gps.conf". Than I ziped and signed the modified files with LambOfGods Zip Signer Tool (v1.1) and flashed it (wiped Cache & Dalvik).
And now: Get a GPS-Fix (indoor) in about 45 sec with an accuracy of about 4 meters! YEAH! :victory:
Thanks for helping! Esp. thanks to you andresrivas and of course Zn7mkUKzN1r8aCIV and Krystian and so on!

hI! I'm having hard time to understand exactly what you did to fix GPS accuracy. I'm the guy who asked Zn7mkUKzN1r8aCIV about the bug and I tried to overwrite the libnmea.so but it didn't work.... (I've had to flash again the rom to get back to 100m accuracy) Can you explain in a easier D) way how to fix it? I understand that you made a flashable zip maybe can you share it?
Hey there!
Well what I did exactly is:
1) Downloaded Zn7mkUKzN1r8aCIV's ROM (from 10/10/13) and extract it
2) Downloaded "libnmea.so" from Krystian
3) Replaced Zn7mkUKzN1r8aCIV's original "libnmea.so" in folder "system/lib/" with Krystian's one
4) Edited the "gps.conf" of Zn7mkUKzN1r8aCIV in folder "system/etc/" with the strings of Neutrinos "gps.conf" for germany (!) mentioned above *
5) Ziped and signatured the GPS-modified ROM files with "LambOfGods Zip Signer Tool (v1.1)" mentioned above
6) Wiped Cache & Dalvik - Flashed and GPS worked
I've uploaded my GPS-modified ROM with the german (!) "gps.conf" here:
Based on Zn7mkUKzN1r8aCIV's ROM 10/10/13 wich is based on Epinters ROM with modified GPS files for Germany from Krystian and Neutrino

I can't edit the "gps.conf" for every single county. Thats to much work. But you can do that on your own! I uploaded the files of Neutrionos "gps.conf"-Tweak here so you can download it and take the strings that you need for your country. In your case, I would do the following:
1) Download my GPS-modified ROM
2) Flash it, reboot and try out GPS - I will not take any responsibility for defects of your hardware! You flash it on your own risk!
2.a) If it works fast, its proofed that Neutrinos Strings in the "gps.conf" has no real effect - you can go to step 8
2.b) If it doesn't work (fast) you go to step 3
3. Download Neutrino GPS-Files and extract them
4. Choose the "gps.conf" that is related to your country (always stored in "system/etc/" folder of the zip-file of your country) and open it with editor
5. Edit the strings in the "gps.conf" on your Atrix (folder "system/etc/" - you will see, there are the german strings) with the ones of your country from the Neutrino File (make sure that there are no blanks between the " = " of each string**)
6. Save your edited "gps.conf" of the folder "system/etc" & check (imperative!) that the rights of the file are set on chmod 644!
7. Reboot and try out GPS
8. (Hopefully) Enjoy!
I hope it works! Looking forward to hear your report!
Regards,
Asmaron
* It is not proofed that this has any effect, but I think so, and now I have a GPS-Fix in almost a half minute.
** The effect of this is also not proofed! What I mean is type e.g.
Code:
NTP_SERVER=0.de.pool.ntp.org
instead of
Code:
NTP_SERVER = 0.de.pool.ntp.org
Hey! Did it work for you?
If not i have another suggestion:
Download my modified GPS-ROM, flash it (on your own risk), download the app "faster GPS" from playstore, choose your country settings in the app. It will modify the "gps.conf" and will set the NTP-Server settings for your country and region.
Maybe it helps... would be glad if you report here!

Came across this searching for a fix on my recent ICSROM update. I had to do the same thing when I first root/unlocked to install MROM, so that certainly helped. I noticed that the files sizes were identical, and not to the GB files, as one would expect. Anway, the issue manifested as GPS apps showing 0 accuracy, and WiFi-disabled Google Maps showing 1200m accuracy. After updating the file and chmod, it was showing ~7m accuracy.
Yup works a-ok...

I meant '7ft accuracy' above. Anyway, I tested on my way to work this morn; locked at 5ft. I did see a couple times when it lost the lock and jumped around the map, but was brief. And I recall seeing that happen on the GB rom too.

Copying english voice prompt files to WOS 2.0 ?

I really want to switch to WOS 2.0, but the one thing preventing me from doing so is that the voice prompt (when running with bluetooth headphones), would be in chinese.
I know that pacefied has english voice prompts (or had, as I believe it's not working in the most recent versions)
So my question is: is it a simple case of copying over some english voice files to the watch?
Could I install WOS 2.0 and then after installation copy the english files ?
I did replace the chinese voiceprompts with the english ones in the NewWearSport.apk, installed the rooted spanished version from here:
https://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=1412777
and replaced the NewWearSport.apk via adb.
Everything installed well and is working well but I don't hear any voiceprompts. Since I don't have that much outdoor activities now due to an injury I couldn't check, why the voiceprompts are not working. I guess it is better to wait for Saratoga79 to have it done.

You mean you couldn't hear the voice prompts when your bluetooth headphones were connected? Could you hear chinese voice prompts instead?
I realise that Saratoga could probably solve this problem fairly easily (that guy really seems to know what he's doing), but I don't want to keep asking him cos I realise he's busy.
I feel like it must be just a case of replacing files in the file system. Or is it not that simple?
Voiceprompts are in the NewWearSport.apk integrated. I replaced the Chinese ones with the English ones. I didn't check the Chinese ones before. You have to open the apk files to do so. For this you can use several tools. Since my manipulated apk did install properly I guess it is save to assume, that I did it allright.

When you install an apk, the files are unzipped to the android file system somewhere (e.g. a newwearsport/voiceprompt folder or something). I thought that (without installing a new apk) you could just copy english files directly to the folder. Perhaps there is some technical reason why this isn't possible. I know very little about this stuff.
The version of the voice files in EN is missing some phrases in the new sport app, but the version in Spanish seems to be complete. I will do some tests today, trying to use ES+EN, so no words in CN...

I just had a look on the watch to be on the safe side.
This quoted assumption is wrong. The only trace of the NewWearSport.apk I found was under:
\system\app\NewWearSport\NewWearSport.apk.
Where is a Subfolder mips which contains the actual code as odex file which I didn't touch.
We have some traces in the data folder :
\data\data\com.huami.watch.newsport
but not the voicefiles. So in my opinion the only way to get to this files is via replacing them in the NewWearSport.apk and installing the new version of this apk.

Sounds good!
I just did a quick and dirty replace of the voices with ES + EN, still a few phrases in CN but I think that all of them are used only for VO2max which is deactivated on Pace.

Requires: WOS 2.0.6.12 set to "en" + adb + root, code is for macOS/Linux, probably on Windows it will work if you use "adb.exe" instead of "adb" (untested), apk file must be in current directory.
Code:
adb root
adb remount
adb shell mv /system/app/NewWearSport/NewWearSport.apk /system/app/NewWearSport/NewWearSport.apk_OLD
adb push NewWearSport.apk /system/app/NewWearSport/
adb shell chmod 0644 /system/app/NewWearSport/NewWearSport.apk
adb remount
adb reboot
To revert:
Code:
adb root
adb remount
adb shell rm /system/app/NewWearSport/NewWearSport.apk
adb shell mv /system/app/NewWearSport/NewWearSport.apk_OLD /system/app/NewWearSport/NewWearSport.apk
adb remount
adb reboot
EDIT: attached file removed, please see other post in this thread with all EN version and scripts to install/uninstall.

Please test the attached file, all voices in EN high quality, with scripts to install/remove for macOS, Linux and Win. I haven't tested the BAT scripts, if someone test them, please report back. Thanks.

Requires: WOS 2.0.6.12 set to "en" + adb + root (permanent or use temporary)
- Unpack file
- Open command line and change directory to the contents of the file
- To install run "sh install_en_voices.sh" for macOS/Linux or "install_en_voices.bat" for Windows
- To uninstall run "sh remove_en_voices.sh" for macOS/Linux or "remove_en_voices.bat" for Windows
When reboot, watch will re-optimise all app, it's normal, simply wait. No data will be affected.

Nice work, will add this to next WOS ROM.
Btw, note that I had some problems with voices using different bitrate, frecuency or channel number comparing to stock CN voices. I face several Bluetooth issues due to this, even bluetooth disconnections, so be advised.

Thanks. And thank you for all the work you've done for the Amazfit community as well. No problems with my testings yesterday, I did a walk and also indoor running for testing. But this was the initial version, a quick build for testing purposes. Many of phrases can be improved, maybe it's better to wait until it's finished.
Regards
I tried it today while running. I got no voicealerts.
Settings:
Bluetooth headset connected but no musicplayer started (music playing is working with bluetooth headset [verified]).
Run - Settings - Training target (not set)
- Alerts - Lap Alert - on
- HR Alert - above 170
- HR Zone - off
- Auto Lap Alert - on
- Pace Alert - off
more settings - Voice prompt - on
- Auto Pause - off
- Auto Lap - off
- Realtime Stats - Heartrate
- Data Screen - 6fields
- 3D Data - on
- BG Color - white

I have tested with walk and indoor run and it worked with me, enabled most voice alerts and I could hear warning on pace, heartrate and distance. If you don't connect the headphones in the Accessories part of the activity settings, then try to start playing a music before you start the activity and then pause it using the headset to make sure it's activated.

Try with music, if there is a problem with voice files music will stop playing
Thanks for the support.
Headphones were connected and playing music fine before.
I think I have an idea whats wrong.
1) I run with airplane mode on but bluetooth activated. (PaceON)
2) I did not use the settings accessories to connect with the headphones but did it before with music.
3) Auto Lap - off
Have test this theorie further.

NewWearSport concatenates all the mp3 files needed to form the phrase in a temporary mp3 file.... these means that all mp3 files need to be same bitrate and with no headers (xing, id3, VBRI or another tags at the start or end of the file)
