my sd keeps removing itself randomly, it happens once every 2 days for no reason. i could play music for 10 minutes , pause, not touch the phone for 5 minutes and then i press play and boom, removed SD.
i have formatted and tried all sorts of roms. could this be a phone or sd issue and is there anyway to tell or fix this? thanks
I am having similar issue with my legend. The 2gb card works fine but kingston 8gb card wont work at all. If you found a solution to this please let me know.

I am facing problems with my sd card..
I was using a kingston 8gb class 4 sdhc before I started having problems..error messages displayed were..blank sd card,unsupported format,damaged sd card...so I bought a new one..sandisk 8gb class 4 sdhc..same problems with this card too...
both the cards are working fine when connected to my pc..i have formatted and reformatted..nothing seems to work..
further I checked sony ericssons official website..there were similar issues..they said it has to do something with card class..
I will be highly grateful if someone can tell me which cards are working fine with xperia mini pro...

If I remember correctly, U20i supports class 6 or higher class SD card (Forget whether it is recommended or have to)... Meanwhile, try settings --> storage --> erase SD Card (if it exists)..

Hi, I just recently bought a Sandisk 32GB card and have it reformated before transferring it with music and videos. All is well, I can play all of my music but randomly, the music player will stop playing and I can't access the contents of the SD card anymore unless I reboot the phone. Tested it with H2testw and its genuine. Is there any way to fix this?. TIA.

Yes, this happens for me, too, with a class 10 Samsung 16 GB SD Card.
Just yesterday the card also lost files when this happened. Checking the SDCard revealed no problems whatsoever.
So now I wonder: Is the card reader not okay, is it a compatibility issue between certain cards and the S III or is it a firmware bug.
Format the card via windows as FAT32 may fix problems .

Formatet it multiple times with diferent systems. Having problems with pictures too, I only see 1 folder out of 5 :/
I have Huawei u8600 sonic rooted and with Cyanogen 9 ROM for this phone. Everything is working fine, but I noticed that sometimes my phone just doesn't find SD card. After reboot it works fine again for a while, but after an hour or two it happens again. There is no message about SD card being removed or something, it just disappears. I have most of my apps moved to SD card, so this really annoys me, because without SD card I can't use most of my phone's programs. Anyone have any idea what is this related to and how to fix it? Any help would be really appreciated.

I had the same issue with my Motorola Defy with SanDisk 32GB class 10 sd card. The solution was... replacing card with different card. Now I'm using for test Sandisk 2GB class 4 sd card, and till now everything is ok.
It doesn't mean, the 32GB card is bad - it works perfect on any other device, but it's simply incompatible with my Defy.

yesterday i wanted to copy a new rom to my sd card for installing but at first it goes so fast but then it stops copying. i left it for half an hour but it didn't copy the rom. i used my laptop too but same result it sticks. on my pc i both tested with and with out ultra copier. any ideas how to fix it?

Possible Solutions
1.try useing card reader
2. if card reader successfully copies then change rom . if problem continues change memory card.

I'm having some weird issues with the phone recently
I have a 64gb micro sd card by sandisk
The problem is that whenever I restart my phone
It boots up and then it works fine and then freezes up for 2-5mins
Also in the storage settings
Under sd card
It shows applications,music,misc files
And then when it stops freezing it comes back to normal and shows total space and remaining space
Any idea why is this happening?
I don't want to format the sd card
Test with no SD Card
It works fine without it

Supersu was causing the problem
Switched over to superuser
Works like a charm now
