Can someone make a signed bootscreen? plz
i have tried many ways but not with success, and i cant delete system/media/bootscreen(folder) even if i have enabled read and write on system files. i can delete everything in system folder except bootscreen
in the attachement is link to my desired bootscreen.
i want to flash it with recovery flasher, and i need it signed to do that.
Please, i realy hate my original HTC Hero villainrom bootscreen

alright i've searched and reset till I can't see straight anymore. Is there a way to change the first 2 boot screens on startup,without flashing a new rom? I can change the 3rd by changing the welcomehead.96. image, but all the ones I've tried for the 1st 2 either don't work or freeze my phone on boot screen,resulting in a hard reset ( good thing I have all my cabs on my storage card).would prefer a cab file ,but a rar or zip with some instructions will work. sorry if it's been posted somewhere else already, but I can't find it. thanks in advance
Sorry, there's a good reason your searches came up fruitless... splash screens are embedded in the rom, and just "replacing a file" using file exporer will not change it since it is Read Only. Very often the splash screen is displayed before the OS even has a chance to load the file system.
Basically, you need to learn how to embed images into the rom and re-flash. I'm pretty sure there's no way around this.

You can change the second screen on the Mogul by replacing the SPCS_startup.gif Since this file is a read-only, you'll have to change the attributes using Resco Explorer or some other file manager program (except the built in one). Then you can replace it with any gif or animated gif image and ofcourse have the name the same SPCS_startup.gif. The first boot screen is something that's only done by embeding an image into the ROM and flashing.

well I was afraid of that. really don't know anything about flashing or dumping rom. can I flash just the boot screens like other models,,and where do I find how to do that? my device is qwest with a rom 213. which is different than sprints 209 or 216 . so I,m not sure about getting the rom back if I mess it up. any help would be appreciated . thanx
I am not sure about Qwest either...as I am with Sprint. I don't think there is a download for the Qwest ROM since there hasn't been any udpates to it but you might try looking at PPCGeeks in the ftp://ftp.ppcgeeks.com/titan/users/
you might be able to find the Qwest ROM extracted by IMCOKEMAN.
Also, you can flash the boot screen (1st screen). That nbh file use to be in DCD's folder at PPCGeeks but its not there anymore. I'll have to go home and look to see if I still have it on my home PC.

I bought a new HTC Aria phone cell. Unfortunately when I was trying to make it possible read and write Persian language I decided to replace Libwebcore.so , libskia.so and libskiagl.so files. After this modification my phone cell stuck at boot on HTC logo.
I’m really sorry because I didn’t pay attention to others’ suggestion about making a Nandroid Backup.
If anybody has a rooted HTC Aria (Asia www version) please do me a big favor and do one of these solutions if it’s possible:
1) If you have a nandroid backup file and it’s possible to copy it manually to SD Card Post it here
2) Extract original Libwebcore.so , libskia.so and libskiagl.so files (ADB Pull … Method) and Post these files.

I tried searching for the bootanimation file in system/media but it does not exist ..also tried adding my custom bootanimation file to the location but it did not work..

Splash screens are in phone's internal memory chip, you can change it if your device is fully unlocked or can flash to the nand. Bootanimation is found in system/customize/resource
Try downloading rom toolbox
It has the option to change boot animation.

Yes..my device is rooted..and i tired rom toolbox..that doesnt work..if im not mistaken rom toolbox saves the file to "system/media" which is not the location for my device..i dont know the location for my device..still need to find that out.
i dont have any folder called customise in system..any other location were is could be stored?
ok i found out that there are 2 files..boot splash image and boot animation..the boot splash image is stored in "mnt / local " & " system / wmtapp / bootanimation " and the boot animation is stored in "mnt / local " & " system / bin " ..Problem is the boot image doesnt have an extension . how do i edit it.it is a 23kb file .i tried making it a zip .after that wen i extract it shows corrupt file ..So how do i edit this image . i have been trying to install JaggyRom on my HTC explorer but for some reason its not working.!!
i did everything that was asked in the tutorial that was found here about the JaggyRom, but everytime im stuck in the JaggyRom boot animation loader.!!
it reaches upto JaggyRom startup animation and doesnt move further than that.!!

I am trying to change my boot animation on my HTC desire 626 but I've run into a snag. I cant rename the stock boot animation to something else so I can add the custom one. I initially tried using adb to change it but it said permission denied. I then tried using Root browser and I still cant rename it or delete it or anything. I can copy it and paste it (for a back up) . Other than that, I am unable to do anything. My phone is rooted and also has a custom recovery. I'm not very experienced as you may have noticed, so any and all help will be appreciated. I've seen someone say to change the permissions, but I have no idea how to do that.
