[Q] How To change the bootanimation? - XPERIA X8 Themes and Apps

How can i change the bootanimation?
i cant find bootanimation.zip in the system/media folder...

Try, system/bin.

What do I do there?
Couldn't find anything useful over there

Try /etc/semc/bootslideshow

You know, from what I understood while looking at the files after rooting, its not really a single animation file, but rather a succession of single files appearing one after the other.Maybe this ll help you somehow...

I flashed through recovery and it worked...don't know bro ?
Why wouldn't the app work though

I have not used that ROM yet but some ROM's have separate locations for the bootanimation. Maybe the app only tries storing the animation in one location. I cant remember off the top of my head the locations sorry.
System/customize/resource is the location of the bootanimation. It is probably named Sprint_bootanimation.zip if he didn't change any naming conventions.

[Q] Changing the lockscreen

I would like to change the lockscreen internally, not with one application.
I guess it must be in framework-res. apk, but I do not know what to change.

look in it are you on cm7 then you could use metamorphs

I look at it. I just change a png. I extracted with 7zip and how I rebuilt framework-res.apk
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA App
just compres it again and rename it from zip to apk
Thank you

See if you just want to change the slider tabs then look for pngs with name like jog_slider_tab un framework-res.apk
But if you want to change the style like puzzle or 9 lockscreens then deep modding in framework.jar and android.policy.jar is required
Thank you

be cool, thats only a joke. btw, the lockscreen is integrated within sistemUI.apk or framework-res.apk . I'm not make sure which one since I never modify a lockscreen before. I figure it because my lockscreen changed when I push those file in my rom
EDIT: ups...sorry. you haven't uploaded it when i write this post
Lock screen is from widget locker

[Q] Jellybean Nexus boot animation?

Edit: As seen here at 00:00:35 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FE1WxgYtqqA&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Has anyone ported the nexus boot animation yet? I'm talking about the one that shows the multi coloured 'X' that glows. Thanks!

Check the themes section, I'm using it myself and it looks great.

How stupid of me, sorry, its not a flashable zip, download the file in that thread and unzip it, move the bootanimation.zip file to the appropriate location (system/media). It is there, that's how I got it.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
I would recommend NOT using /system/media and instead using /data/local.
That way you don't replace the original animation and have something to refer back to should you need it. Plus /system/media has a small size limitation while /data/local has a larger size available.
I also pulled the file from one of the JB GNex ROMs if anyone else needs it and the link pcfanboy142 provided doesn't work for anyone.
