Hi guys, only just got round to flashing to the official HTC T-Mobile(UK) ROM 1.72.110.4 and noticed some nice bonuses like a working youtube App from the get-go (yay) and facebook album integration from the manila contacts now show the pictures
Only thing is I'm sure there used to be a program that let me search the contents of the phone, which looks to have been replaced by bing search which isnt the same thing. Does anyone have a cab or know how else I can restore it? I cant remember where some of the apps save things so I used to just search my phone for the filename and voila. Would be nice to get that feature back. Please help

I have the same problem on a custom WM6.5 ROM for my Omnia. The tool is not there.
Was anyone able to add the "Search Phone" as a cab?

Can someone post the atom extended rom please? It looks like it's got some cool stuff on it that the rest of us could try out, auto configorator, equalizer for media player and gprs monitor for example. Thanks.
til someone makes a ROM unlocker tool for the atom, i believe what you are asking for is impossible but it would be great to be able to tinker around with its extended rom.
I've got the extended rom somwhere... I don't think you need an unlocker, or at least I took it apart somehow, I forget how now.
The auto config app is alright, although better just to grab some operator cabs or make one yourself, equalizer for media player doesn't work I think, and gprs monitor never tried. The camera app kind of works, suprisingly, but does nothing useful. There was nothing too breathtaking - most of the interesting stuff is in the rom, not extended rom. But you've seen that, the SMS app etc.

Guys, there is one very good application released on PocketGear. I have it on my s740 and apart from being perfect new Start Menu with some very very useful features it can route audio to an earpiece when Skype is active. Also it has Task and Process Manager and it is fully animated.
I wrote an article about it at wmpoweruser.com/?p=13748 (still can't post links, sorry for that) with screenshots and with more details. There are some bad comments about design of application, but it looks like people don't realize that this is for Smartphone/Standard device only, with QVGA resolutions most of the time.
Maybe it's just me, but I think that this looks really good for a Smartphone application.

I tried many apps to customize the Start-Menu and i think thats the best....its fully animated to....you had to do a little work at the shortcuts but when its done its the best menu ever......

What I like about Ultimate Start is T9 search of applications. Just like in Contacts. Very fast way to get to any application, bookmark or java application.

I would like to share my recent finding.
As you can see from screenshots below i have working HTC Photon (HD Mini) Text Selection on my device. It is a CutCopyPaste functionality from HTC. The most incredible thing is that my device is not a htc device. I have HP Ipaq 614c (QVGA). So i think, if it works for me, should work for all devices.

The only one thing which i dont understand. Why grafics is so bad? I found from web screenshot how it should looks like and it has much better grafics. So i ask a question for more advanced people, which HTC dll library related for grafics?

I always use ctrl-c/x/v on soft keypad to copy/cut/paste. Will give this a try.

basically i am trying to find an app for wm6.5 on the hd2 that is similar to the one i have found on my old mans htc wildfire, u open it, it turns into a clock while your phone is on standby and you can use it as a desk clock at night, simple idea but i cant seem to find one that works anywhere.
anyone have any ideas??

As you can see from the picture, it looks like an LCD desk clock at night, and also has an alarm function (with variable sound alert) and you can also change the colours of the display thru the RGB scale!

Hi all, hope your well.
Need a bit of help.......i did try to search for some answers but to no avail.
I have a few issues with the stock weather widget, the stock calendar and the gyrosensor.
1- Weather widget: You will notice form the screenshot attached, that the weather temp is kind of cut off. To be honest, I cant remember if it was always like that or not...... but it looks really ugly. I do not want to use other weather widgets so please, no one suggest that!
2- Stock Calendar: I do not know what the hell happend to this!!! Everytime I try to launch it, i get a FC! I have searched and tried to install calendarprovider.apk but it does not install. Any ideas? I did try to search for a simple calendar application but cant find any. Suggestions?
3- Gyrosensor: I think this is a global issue!! When i try to calibrate the gyro sensor, the ball does not move!! its just stuck in one place. I have tried full reset, new roms etc but still have had no luck.
I am on Check Rom Knight Edition, 2.3.4. I have tried that thread but no luck.
I would greatly appriciate any help and thank you in advance!!

UPDATE: Weather issue solved.......it was the font I was using!!! (yeh yeh, stop laughing!)
Calendar.......just re-flashed with full wipe mad and now its working!!
Gyro.....still need help!!!
