[Q] Is there any way to record phone call one-way... - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

NOT two-way, but only record the OTHER SIDE?
Sometimes there are situations when I want to record the voice from the other side, and not my voice. Is this possible?
I've searched all the forum and found a lot about two-way recording but nothing like this. Can someone help?

Yea srry but that's not possible you can try and develop a cab from what they have from the two way calling it should be quite easy to.

Stupid question but i'll add it on here:
How do you even record a conversation 2 way? Do i need to install a special cab, or is it available on the phone untweaked?

guys when you get a cooked rom it has it installed extract it and start to devlop and add the feature.

oh i forgot to mention my phone model... it's htc hd2.
on hd2 you can record two-way by a simple registry tweak.
and for xperia x1 there is a modified driver that makes two-way recording possible.

i use vito audio notes for this. it cuts in as soon as the other side answer (or you answer incoming) and you can reg tweak it to save wherever you like. Im sure other progs are just as good at it.
The key, if you are on a non-3.14 rom is to make sure you apply the two way calling reg tweak, else you only get your side.

Thanks. Meanwhile I found another tool called Auto Phone Call Recorder. But I should give Vito audio notes a try since there're some more interesting options (like VAS)

where is VITO Audio Notes........... ?

tried typing it into google?

Although I'll be slamming this kind of thread even after I'm a-moulderin' in my grave, I don't know if it's been established if the Atom has the ability to record the audio path. I think Odean has done some work on this, all negative, but I suggest you detail in this thread if it can:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=40100&highlight=poll
If the atom can record the audio path, there may be good cause to write such software.

there are lot of software but it wont be able to record clearly esp calling person statement,
I disagree.....
I'm using this software.....
And this software really works good.
You can allow this software to record incoming/outgoing call automatically
Set the Bit rate and quality of sound...& a lot more
What else you want...???
No earing sound
I disagree with you. I´ve been using either Resco Audio Recorder, or Vito Audio notes (which is better in my opinion) and both have poor earing volume, almos no soun at all.

In Call Recording possible?

Is in-call recording of both sides of the conversation possible on the X10? Are both sides voices recorded clearly and there is no need to use the speaker in order to record both sides?
Check out v Recorder in the android store. I think that might be what your looking for.
Sent from my X10i using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
I wasn't looking for a suggestion, thanks though. I am actually more interested in a confirmed report by a X10 owner/user that this is actually possible on the X10 before I buy the phone (I am on X1 at the moment and call recording isn't possible on X1).
I'm afraid that the incall recording uses the speaker to record the other persons voice.
Call Recorder has positive comments for perfect working.
it costs 0.99 pounds.
does (only) work with android 1.x .
Are you sure that the opinions expressed here"http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-opensystem-callrecord-jjDw.aspx"
are positive??
not completely positive ..
the german market gives me a 5* rating for it .. sorry ..
hope we'll find a workaround for it, i'd really like to have a recording option.

2 way clear and proper in-call recording is not possible on the X1 AFAIK. I am following the threads regarding this issue for a long time and no fix has been found yet, would be very happy if you have other information I am not aware of, please provide. TIA.

I am using the excellent cooked Energy Rom by NRGZ28 which is also based on the Touch HD and has the in-call recorder included, but it doesn't work on X1. As I said - I am following all the threads regarding this issue and no-one seems to have found a way to make in-call recording work on X1, but if you know for a fact that this is doable please post a URL of a thread that explains how it's done.

try this
Once you have dialed a call, press the notes icon (post-it note with tack through it). This will open up the notes application. From there choose Menu->View Recording Toolbar. The toolbar will open up on the bottom of the screen and will allow you record both sides of the conversations while writing or typing

That's exactly what I meant when I wrote that clear and proper 2-way recording is not possible on the X1.
If you tried your suggestion you will see that you can record your own voice very loud and clear, but can barely hear the other side, which is actually recorded from the ear speaker and not straight from the phone.
I have a SE K750i which, for example, which record both sides of the conversation at the same high volume, perfectly. That's what I am talking about...

I think that we are moving away from the issue, now as far as call recording on the X10 is concerned i've just come across an app that "seems" to be recording both sides of the conversation well enough,it's Killer Mobile Total Recall v.1.00.
I've downloaded the "Full" app and will try it and post feed back.

Hi,
I have an X10 and downloaded "Total Recall Trial". You had to restart the phone, but after that it record the call like a charm, BOTH WAYS!!!
No "beep" at all. Some recorders have "beeps" every minute.
Will defenitley buy this app as soon as I can. Live in Sweden, so paying for apps is not yet available through Market! :-(
To listen to the calls after I use an app named "aPlayer".

Excellent! Could you please post a sample file so that we can hear the quality of both sides?
search for an app called "spoof". in call recording, change your voice, and change your caller ID.

[Q] Can the microphone record in 2 apps at once?

One thing I've noticed... is if I use the voice recorder app, and then go into a call, the voice recorder stops.
And so, it doesn't let you record audio using 2 apps at the same time.
My question is.... is this a feature built into the hardware, or built into the software?
Like, would it be possible to rewrite the operating system to allow 2 apps to use the record function simultaneously, or does the hardware prevent that?
Thanks.

Thanks for replying, but I really don't see how that's relevant to my question.
For example, on Windows, I can record with Windows voice recorder, and with Audacity-- at the same time, and both produce a recording.
So I know there's no hardware limitation with my computer's hardware.
I'm wondering if this is the case with an HTC Hero.
Does anyone know the answer to this question?
Sorry for not making it more clear, no you cannot use your microphone whit more than one application at once.
If you are comparing to a pc you are wrong.

I know that.... but my question was.... is this a hardware or software limitation?
I am sure i's only a software limitation. If you look at this link, you will find that there are ways to capture the sounds in output, so i'ts clearly a matter of software issue. Using the mic input, while making a phone call isn't really simple but you can find an app for our Hero here.
I think it's just a matter of time before someone makes an app for this case
