Icons, Batt + boot img for 1.4.6 (white status) - Streak 5 Themes and Apps

I decided to attempt to change my icons etc... Using UOT kitchen, I'm really pleased with the look so thought I would be nice and share it with you guys
You need to be on dj_steves 1.4.6 (it may work with other versions but I have only tested the current 1.4.6)
It will not work if you are using themekika!
HOW-TO
1. Back-up your current settings as you always should (nandroid)
2. Copy/move .zip to the root of your SD card
3. Power off and into recovery (hold volume up/down + power)
4. Option 2 install from sd... wait for clockworkmod to load
5. Select install .zip from SD then pick from SD manually.
6. Reboot once install has completed (may take 2-5 mins)
7. Enjoy

[HOWTO] install Androidiani & implement themes on the XT720.

This is a guide I've compiled to simplify Androidiani theming on the XT720. Took me forever to read posts & work through trial & error... credit to Kalagas & Zepplin Rox for the majority of this post, I just compiled into one guide.
------------------------------------------------------------
1st install Open Recovery
If you already have open recovery, but not andriodiani, download Androidiani to your desktop.
Open the zip & copy the “open recovery” folder to your sdcard root (copies over all previous OR files).
Copy the “update.zip” file from Androidiani to your sd card root & leave it there (nothing else to do with this file at this point).
Then boot your phone into recovery (power up, when 1st boot animation appears, hold down the ‘volume up’ key).
You should have the androidiani menu above the standard OR menu.
Just reboot your phone to normal operating android os.
Download the desired theme to your desktop from theme developer.
Use windows/linux via usb to create the following folders on your sd card, you have to create the folders manually the 1st time, 1-4 below:
1) sdcard/OpenRecovery/theme/froyo/apps/All modded .apks
2) sdcard/OpenRecovery/theme/froyo/bootanimation/empty
3) sdcard/OpenRecovery/theme/froyo/fonts/empty
4) sdcard/OpenRecovery/theme/froyo/framework/framework-res.apk
Open the theme zip & copy the files to their respective folders you just created.
OK lets go for it....
Reboot into Androidiani OpenRecovery . (power up, when 1st boot animation appears, hold down the ‘volume up’ key).
Just to be sure make Wipe cache Partition and Wipe Dalvik-cache.
Then choose Froyo 2.2.1 Modding Menu - Menu Install and Restore Theme - Install Theme, pick the install option and let it finish.
After Theme is installed, make again Wipe cache Partition and Wipe Dalvik-cache and Reboot.
You should have your new theme up & running.
Go Pack Go!
Do you have any links to some themes?

What am I supposed to install the update.zip file? Just copy it the the sd card root and leave it there? Or is there a menu option in Androidiani/OR that I'm supposed to choose? Little confused at that point. I can reboot into Open Recovery and there's a multicoloured droid in the background (as opposed to a straight green one).

I did indeed get it working sort of, Thank you! I lost access to the menu that pops up when you hit the power button (the shutdown/airplane mode). The phone would just power the screen down and then rebooted immediately.
As such I'm going back to square one and reflashing it back to 2.1, and try upgrading to 2.2 again. Not as bad as it sounds... since my 32GB class 10 sd card arrived this morning.

P.S. I re-read my original message and it came off sounding a bit rude, please attribute it to lack of sleep and accept my apologies.

Try copying this file to the root directory of your sdcard.
If that doesn't work try using the Install option in Dexter's System Recovery app.

[GUIDE]Create Your Own Lockrings! (Sense 3.0)

First, you will need to choose a picture for your Lockring.
-IT MUST BE 271 X 270 PIXELS!
-IT MUST BE A .png FILE!
-It also needs to be rotated 180 degrees, and mirrored (horizontally flipped).
Save the image as Custom.png
You need to download the file I have attached:
LockRingMaker.zip
Extract the file wherever, and place the 'custom.png' in the extracted folder.
Double click the "Rename & Run.bat" file and wait.
Done!
If you want to create more than one LockRing, do not delete the .zip file as it cleans up after itself!
To install, flash through Clockwork. MAKE SURE TO NANDROID!!! IF I BRICK YOUR PHONE DON'T BLAME ME!
Tell me if it works please! (and say THANKS!)
Another method that may/may not work:
Download
Run the "LockRingCreator.bat"
The original thread for this one is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1253613
This was originally made for the Evo 4G, so it might not work...
Anyone try this yet?
Sorry for you, guy, but the first feedback you have is negative
I made a custom png following your specs, and saved it to replace the provided custom.png
I ran the batch.
zip file copied to sd.
started in recovery.
install zip file
reboot
...and... still old locking
Hhhmmm worked for me. I only have to get the transparency worked out so that I have a ring and not a ring on a white square box.
I am using warm ROM and cm recovery if that maters.

Im confused , i extracted the zip and a whole bunch of folders appeared , so i just put them all in a new folder , but the contents already had a Custom.png , a logo of Ohio state or something , so i deleted that and then clicked the rename and run.bat . Now what do i flash? The zip that says customlockring?.........nevermind , got it to work perfectly , this is great. Thanks.

Getting late and I have to work in the morning but I will put something together about how to use zipthemer. I have used it on several phones and once you get it working, you can do a bunch of things with it. Create themes, custom boot animations, revert.zips. You can also take pieces from different themes and package theme all together into one update.zip with an undo.zip just in case. I'll put it together in the morning.
I just figured it out...
Go to Zip Themer
Click on +Theme
Click on the green arrow and navigate to the zip file you want to use
Click on build it! then select if you want it to create a revert flash able zip
After it's done building the flashable file go into recovery mode and flash the file zipthemer created (it's not in a folder).
Fix permissions
Reboot

Bingo.
It also works with Metamorphs too (if anyone needs some, I have a ton-just PM me). Say you want to revamp your whole status bar.
All you do it hit the +Theme and find your metaporphs (in zip form), and 1 by 1 add them in (*tip if doing this make sure the status bar itself it #1, if you are changing transparency or color. Then everything will build on top of it).
Now that you have all the morphs in there, click Build It (it is always prpbably the best idea to make the Undo.zip as well, just in case).
+Output just tells Zipthemer where to put the finished product.
Flash into recovery and install (I always wipe cache too). Don't like the finished product, reboot into recovery and flash the undo.zip and no harm no foul.

I don't know what the hell I'm doing wrong, but no matter what steps I take, when I flash the file created by zipthemer, nothing gets changed. It still has the regular animation that came stock on the rom.

[MOD] Increase number of volume steps

I have a SGP5 and am using Jackpot Clavin's CM10.1 rom.
I find that the number of volume steps is too few when using headphones. Often consecutive volume settings will change the volume too much, so that one setting is too soft and the next too loud.
The solution to this is to increase the number of steps over the same volume range.
I have successfully managed to do this using the following guide (it was quite easy actually):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1411317.
Doing this produces a framework.jar file which needs to be placed in /system/framework with permissions "- rw- r-- r--" (ie read/write for user, read only for everyone else), and after a reboot (during which it will say it is upgrading) you should have the extra steps.
Anyway, seeing as it works I thought I'd share it here in case anyone else wants to have more steps to their volume (rather than the original 15 steps).
I've made some CWM flashable zip files to make things a bit easier.
Volsteps2-30 will give double the steps, so to increase the volume by what used to be one step now takes two steps.
Volsteps2-45 will give triple the steps, so to increase the volume by what used to be one step now takes three steps.
This theoretically should work for any rom (or even device) but it may be the case that a different zip file will be needed for each one. To make this compatible with more roms/devices I need your /system/framework/framework.jar files so I can patch them and make an install zip. But try it out before sending your file, there may be a version for you already made...
Instructions:
Remember to do a nandroid backup first!
Download the uninstall zip and one of the install zips from below.
Flash the install zip and reboot.
if it works, great...
if not, you'll probably find you're in a bootloop, get back into CWM (with the button combo) and flash the uninstall zip, (this will restore your system to its previous state), reboot and reply to this thread telling me that it doesn't work, what rom and device you are using and attach your framework.jar file (found in /system/framework/).
I'll patch your framework.jar file and make a new zip file for you to try, if it works for you I'll attach it to this post with a suitable description.
We'll see if we can get a nice collection for all the roms...
For UNINSTALL.zip and SGP5.0 mods see the files attached below
For SGP4.0 mods see post #79: Volsteps Mods for SGP4.0 Player

Nope. I can't because I can't find my SD card and it doesn't exactly work correctly anyway. I'll just have to install the stock ROM and do it like that.
Edit: I found it, but my computer doesn't want to read it, so yeah...
I've worked out how to do CWM zip files! I've made an install zip that works fine on my player and an uninstall zip in case it bootloops.
If it does bootloop the uninstall zip will restore your original framework.jar file and everything will be as it was before.
I suspect that each rom will have to have a special zip file for itself, so if it doesn't work, post telling me your ROM and attach your framework.jar file and I'll patch it. (framework.jar is in /system/framework/)
It'd be nice if we had all the ROMs covered don't you think?
See OP for install and uninstall files.

Yeah, sorry about that, I had no idea it was even possible at the time - but now I do!..
Here's a zip for you to try - remember to have the uninstall zip at the ready in case it doesn't work..
Idecided that 30 steps (each step half the original) isn't enough for me so I've made a 45 step version (each step one third of the original) - see OP
I've been rummaging about inside people's rom zips (ooerr) and have patched Iurnait's pac-man rom and latest CM10.1 too.
All the jar files are different so a different version is definitely needed for each rom... Most worrying is that TheKryptonite's IurnaitCm10.1 file is different to the latest IurnaitCM10.1 file. I hope that doesn't mean that this must be done every time a rom is updated urrrggghh....
See OP for zips...

Changing the volume by one notch goes from too quiet to too loud (with 15 steps), I found it was the same with 30 steps, ie increasing the volume by half a step is also too much. 45 steps makes the volume change by one third of a step which, I think, is about right!
It's not that I need 45 steps, but it is about how big each step is....
Hey Mmmm-), Can you do a 30 volume step for the Slimbean ROM? Here's the framework.jar

Great work
Good Work There. But if you could create the zip flashable it would have been easier to use.
Keep it up
Here you go guys, a flashable zip.

The flashable zip (walkman + foxhound) doesn't work for me (arvarobert's one works without any problem). It gives a ''cant open zip file (bad)'' error. I've extracted the boot animation and pushed it manually, works like a charm. I'm using xperia mini + rage kernel. Also are you planning on making a version without the walkman logo (only foxhound)?

I apologize Grof87,
I hope I didn't screw up your phone or anyone else's
Flashables removed for now, I guess I don't know how to make them properly(still a noob)
But yes I can do Foxhound only, I have to go to work right now but I'll make it once I get out.
Once again, sorry for the trouble.

Unfortunately it's not working, it gives a black screen with no music during boot (phone boots up normally), I've placed the file in system/media nad set the permissions to rw--r--r, foxhound with walkman works without a problem. Can you look into it?
EDIT: I've just flashed walkamn+foxhound thru CWM and it's giving me a simple ANDROID boot up animation??
EDIT2: Tried using the boot animation from your manual install zip (fox+walkman, fox only isn't working) and it's working perfectly, there's something wrong with those flashable zips
That's weird. I got those zips from arvarobert's links all I did was rename them and reupload. Let me test everything and try to get this straightened out
EDIT: Those zip were corrupted when i opened them with winrar, I will upload the proper ones soon
Sent from my WT19i
Ok So I went through and checked(checked for corrupted and installed through CWM) every file and re-uploaded them with proper ones.
I've also made the Foxhound only flashable.
There should be no more problems, Grof87 I really appreciate the feedback and your patience.(Now hopefully you can enjoy that boot animation that I promised you finally lol)

No problem mate, thank you for taking the time to make these awesome animations, I've just tested the new foxhound only flashable and it's working!
Can i in any way, put these on my Galaxy Nexus?
I'm unsure as I do not own a Galaxy Nexus. The sounds might work if you rename them to the files u want to replace
Sent from my WT19i
if this was still exist, how'd you set permissions? it seems that it cant even launched it
