1st of all, thanks cryshop! Nice work, I'm glad you found the time!
2nd, the problem with the zip is, that the whole resources.apk might be different...for example I extracted those files and put them in my .apk...
3rd, does the ROM really need to be de-odexed? What if I put the different png's to my resources.apk ? - edit, You don't have to be deodexed, it works just fine on B 0.1 Rom, which is not.
EDIT2: When I touch the display(screen locked text appears) part of the image sems to lose it's transpatency settings - there is a vivid ende below the text - is this normal?
Thanks!

The black half-transparent rectangle at the bottom causes that. It seems to be something in the xml files which I'm not able to edit. I can retouch graphic files only, sorry for that

nice work! I just made a bit more space between the 2 arrows.
Cause it was overlayed by the text saying: "screen locked" (since in dutch its scherm geblokkeerd) and that's much longer
png is attached for dutch people or people that want more space between the arrows (hope you don't mind cryshop otherwise just tell me and I'll remove it asap)
Really like your work

Hi Cryshop,
Just a question here, but could you make a lockscreen that would correspond with your navbar? It would actually need editing of one png The shape is OK, but the style would look nicer
I tried 3ds max to make one, but I need some study in that

NOTE: If you have issues with wifi toggle, please try this:
1) Go to key in registy "HKLM\Software\Drivers\WLAN" and copy the value from 'AdapterName" string.
2) Now go to key in registry "HKLM\Software\HTC\CommManager\WLAN" and edit "DeviceName" string. You see a value which looks something like this: "{98C5250D-C29A-4985-AE5F-AFE5367E5006}\TNETW12511". Change the last part (as in TNETW12511) with the value "AdapterName" found in #1).
3) Softreset your device.
4) Check if wifi toggle is now working in comm manager.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If your device is docked or connected to activesync, wi-fi toggle button is disabled in comm manager. disconnect activesync to test wifi toggle button please...
IMPORTANT NOTE IN INSTALLING:
Please make sure your original comm manager is not running in the background. Using task manager, close/kill original comm manager before installing the cab files.
Enjoy!

that only means your Original CommManager must be running in the background. Use a task manager and close/kill the process before you install this one. Or, install the cab files after a soft reset just to make sure your original comm manager is not running yet.

This usually happens when installing unsigned cab files and it is overwriting something which is being used or running at the moment of installation. So, just make sure your original application is not running before installing unsigned cab files which overwrites your original one.

[How to] Mod your Xperia mini / Xperia mini pro.

Due to popular demand, here's a guide on how to graphically mod your Xperia mini / mini pro.
It's really easy, you can't do anything wrong, trust me.
Note: This method is for stock 2.3.3 only
I dont know if it works with 2.3.4 too. You might need to refer to other threads.
Step 1
a.) Root your phone using one of the following methods:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1320350
or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
This doesn't require ANY computer or mobile phone experience, everything is pretty self explanatory.
b.) Install Clockwork Mod Recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1345741
Again, everything is self explanatory.
Note: This method is for stock 2.3.3 only
Step 2
Use any root explorer to copy the following files to your SD card, and then to your computer:
- framework-res.apk from /system/framework
- SystemUI.apk from /system/app
Go to http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/, customize the hell out of it and let the kitchen cook your .zip with the following settings:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Make sure to chose the right icons to fit your statusbar color. Icons for Black statusbars might look bad on white bars.
Always chose the MDPI option if possible. This will optimize your theme for your resolution
Save the cooked .zip to the main folder of your SD card, dont extract it
Step 3
You're almost done.
a.) Reboot into CWM Recovery repeatedly pressing the volume down button as soon as the sony ericsson logo appears. Navigate using the volume buttons and confirm with the "home" button.
b.) Choose "install zip from sdcard", navigate to your cooked zip file (e.G UOT-11-03-18-46-1.zip) and apply it.
Let CWM Reboot and you're done
Let me know if you still have questions

can I make it only with rooted phone????
Followed all the instructions but it didn't work for me
I did root it and installed clockworkmod succesfully, but everytime I flash an update.zip simply results in a bootloop. I've tried with several themes.
Does someone know what's causing the problem?
Any help much appreciated.

Developers: If you use this keyboard in your ROM's. I require you give credit where credit is due. I personally spent DAYS trying to get the size proper as well as all the functions working correctly. Needless to say, this wasn't an easy task.
Installation Instructions:
1. Download zip file from link below.
2. Move to sdcard.
3. Reboot into recovery and flash.
4. Consider buying me a cup of coffee. This wasn't a small undertaking.
The HTC_IME.apk sometimes will not show up on ROM's that have been up and running for an extended period of time. If you find that to be your problem, you may need to reflash your rom, then flash the HTC_IME zip.
ROM DEVELOPERS:
Make sure you also include the libt9.so file that is inside the zip. Without it the trace functions will not work.

awesome.... would you be able to do black? its in my plans but with building a rom ... workin on gettin bugs out of ics, a job, a wife and 4 kids... i dont know how much more i could pull off lol
My keyboard is completely gone when I flash this mod (including the red flavor). No keyboard is visible in the settings or when you long press the button next to the home button.
I tried everything to get the stock one back, but keep getting FCs.
What's the best way to delete the mod? When I replace the htc_ime file and rename the libt9.so, I see the keyboard listed, but get the FCs.
I should add that I tried to flash the mod immediately after unlocking, rooting, installing recovery and Ziggy's kernel, so it was about as clean as I could make it.
** Update ** I couldn't install Swype as a temporary work around because you have to log into the beta site...which means typing. I gave up and backed up with Titantium Pro and did another factory reset.
ics
anyone know if this will work on the new ics roms?
I tried on ics. It doesnt work. Bored is working on one tho I believe

Is there a way to add additional settings to this keyboard that the HTC IME original keyboard had - particularly long press duration for alternate symbols, and swipe left to delete the last word typed?

[MOD][CM9]Nav Bar and others for Devil Toast v.7 & v.7.1 (07/20/12)

I put together a few mods from other places and thought I would share them.
MIUI Battery bar from pvyParts
Center Clock from TheGrammarFreak
Nav Bar from evilisto
This will replace your SystemUI and framework-res apks, so as always make a backup, as I am not responsible for anything that happens. But this is the result:
{

}
You can't really tell, but the MIUI battery bar is there. This will also completely disable your capacitive buttons! I also put up a revert zip that will put things back to normal if you need it.
Just flash the according file of your choosing. Once that is installed you can change all the colors for the bar in the BatteryBarSettings app.
The "text" version only has the back, home, search, and multitask buttons in text. It is more of a test and that's the only buttons I use down there. If anyone has any ideas for different buttons(color,font,etc) let me know, I'm not good with Photoshop, but I can do some basic things. So please let me know what you think!
As far as I know, this is CDMA specific, because the mount points in the updater-script are different for GSM.
Nice!

Do you know of a way to disable the capacitive buttons all together? I can't remember if that is a kernel edit or an edit within the ROM. I'd assume a kernel edit would be needed.

It is a rom edit. And easy, but the thing I am looking to do is disable the lights to the buttons. I know how to do it once you are booted into the rom, but I would like to make the edits pre-flash, and its kicking my butt.

I used to be able to change the values in framework-res in the arrays.xml but they changed they values that were there, so now if I change them it will boot loop. Want me to tell you how to disable the buttons though?
Sure go ahead.
And I made the init.d script but for some reason it doesn't execute on boot. There are other init.d scripts there so I'm sure his ROM supports them but now I'm all confused lol
If I'm able to successfully boot the next version of deviltoast with gapps then I will definitely be doing this! I saw when you posted it in the thread and i wanted it lol. Thanks!

In /system/usr/keylaout/ open atmel-touchscreen.kl. I'll I did was comment out the four keys with #. Then open generic.kl and find the four keys again(should be 102,139,158,217) and comment those out as well. That should disable them completely. And yeah, init.d scripts and such is a little above my head. lol

Okay that didn't work so I'm going to try again on his next update and if I still get nothing I will ask him whether or not the ROM supports init.d
And if you want to learn a little about init.d, you can PM me
I was just using the kitchen to add the ffc fix'ed zImage, and I noticed that it said the rom doesn't support busybox-runparts(init.d). but I've never messed with the kitchen that much so I'm not sure how true it is.
edit: just tried to add it in and it kept saying the rom already supported it. weird.
Yeah I just got the same thing. Weird!
Supposedly it does support them.

If you can photoshop a little they are very easy to make.
Just find a cool battery icon and rebuild it a little
Basically you need 7 .PNG's of 320x480 pixels names charging_animation_01.png --to--chargning_animation_07.png and copy them in your system folder.
but if not, then just check around here, there are more sequences to be found.
I'll make more myself in the future and post them here.

10x.the second version is much cooler than the first one.:good:
I used photoshop to make my own offline charging animation using the following configuration: 320x480, RGB, 8bit, .PNG format.
Inside the Rom (gallery for example), all .PNG files are perfectly shown; but the odd thing is, all red colors are shown blue in the device during offline charging. Any idea on root of the problem?
one question
how did you got the star under the thanx meter?
and great work

If you mean menu->image->mode->"indexed colors" in Photoshop, yes I tried in vain.

You should not use these colors.
Best is always to 'save for web' > shift+ctrl+alt+s
just select PNG-24 there and deselect transparency.
Have 'Convert to sRGB' enabled and set it to monitor colors
if that doesn't work, i really have no clue..

I tried what you kindly suggested. The result is the same as before. :crying:
Thanks anyway for your advice. At least I learned something new.
good job, thanks!!!
It's my first post, so don't be angry at me.
Is it possible to add more that 7 images?
If not, anyone know why...pngs' are linked or something with some other files in root?
Thanks for help.

for the battery sequence you can only use 7 images.
Think it's a system setting. Might be able to hack around that, but have no clue where
