You can't send and receieve photos and music files between your phone and another phone or your phone and a computer? I'm assuming that you are on 2.1 since you said stock. Do you receive any errors or anything like that when you are attempting to do the transfer?

android is 2.4. it doesn't see others' devices, in the beginning it connects, but after some seconds it disconnects, do you have an idea, what should it be?

2.1 not 2.4

changing default folder of recieving files via BT

IS is possible to change the default folder 4 recieving files via bluetooth from my documents to storage card? any help would be appreciated. thanks
As far as i know there is still no workaround for that..on Moto MPx220, it is possible but you still have to pair the "sending" device and apply a registry tweak to be able to do that.
is that phone a WM5 based one?
Actually the easiest way is to install "Sniper" which is a bluejacking tool, but it allows you to receive bluetooth files to Storage card, or any directory for that matter. Just remember to deactive the phones "beam" settings in phone settings. Works a charm

Sendind files vie bluetooth...

Hello everyone!
Since Im a completely new HTC or even windows mobile user..this kind of cell makes me kind of sick...everything is so complicated...I had symbians before and it was so simply to send any kind of files to other machine...or even set a desktop image or use mp3 as a ringtone...just few clicks and everything were et one place.
On windows mobile everything needs to be set up separately...e.g. if I open an image from album..I can preview it and send vie massage or share on SN's...but cannot send it via bluetooth or set it up as a destkop image. Thats the same with MP3s.
Also I wanted to send a single cab file to other machine via BT but could not found out how.
Could somebody help me or advice me how to to that things more simple?
Thank you guys in advance!

Is device in pair mode? If so, you can try just one of many bluetooth file transfer applications on market.

Ok, I can't describe it detaily, becouse I haven't English on my phone.
1) In HomeScren pres menu button, properties, wireless, bluetooth properties. Turn BT on, make device visible.
Now can be phone finded via another devices, so do add new device / pair davice or somethink like this, find your device, add it as trusted/paired, confirm code and after first upload/download/access into phone, select allow allways.

[Q] Certain filetypes get denied on sending via bluetooth

Hi. My SGA has the latest Official CyanogenMod nightly. I have Windows XP, a bluetooth dongle, and bluesoleil drivers.
I am able to send images and apk files from my pc to my phone. But when I try to send an epub file, or a 7z file, my pc says:
"Access is denied. Please make sure you have the proper right to access the files or folders."
So I tried to create a compressed file and instead of using 7z, I used .zip. And it was able to send it. So I'm positive that my phone has a list of allowed filetypes to be received. Is there any way to edit it? Thanks.
PS: I tried declining a file (that successfully went through), and it gave the same access denied error on my pc. So I believe that my phone is automatically denying certain filetypes. Thanks.
yeah i think so...i cant send apk file via bluetooth i think ace wont allowed it
sent from ACE TO ACE
Same problem
What I did was changed the extension of those files to .Mp3
This way I was able to send via bluetooth and then on phone change it back to original extension
Problem?

Well that's really a hassle to do. I'll just have to wait for a real solution.
Also, every time I receive a file it asks me to confirm it. Stock Gingerbread had a check box to always receive files [from a specific device] automatically. I can't seem to see that option here. Any thoughts? Thanks again.
