ATTENTION all chefs - Omnia II ROM Development

Hey Chefs,
Thanks for taking some time to read this.
In order to maintain this section better and to make it easier for new members, I request that you all follow the following Thread Naming conventions. Some of you already use them, which is awesome.
[ROM]
To indicate that the thread is in fact a rom. This has to be the first Tag for your title.
[LANG] (Not required for English ROMS)
Indicate the language of the rom if it is not English, preferably with 2-4 character mentions. If you carry ROMs with multiple language options, please use the tag [MULTILANG]
[REF]
Reference Threads
[REQ]
Requisition Threads
[TUT]
Tutorial Threads
Additional Tags
[GUIDE]
[DUMP]
[PROJECT]
For the time being, these are the only tags we need to get the forum organised. I might include more tags at a later time.
We thank you for cooperating with us and for all your hard work & continued support of XDA.
Your friendly neighbourhood mod,
NeoS2007

Let's get cracking on a new XDA3NBFTOOL for the newer ROMs!

http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=122126#122126
Please see my latest posts. My C skills are novice, but at least I've taken mamaich's code and hacked it together to read the headers and XOR keys of the latest encrypted ROMs. I'm just not understanding the actual ROM XOR encryption process, so I need help and we can possibly assemble a new XDA3NBFTOOL or replacement quickly!
As I'll be posting this in various forums, please do not post responses in THIS thread - go to the thread link above and continue discussion there!

[Q] Which ROM is what? Sticky topic required.

I was thinking of updating the standard ROM with something brewed by our dutch friends. However, I am lost there are several projects going on at the same time and that are in different status.
If I am not asking too much, can someone make a sticky topic with links to all ROM dev threads and brief description of them?

It is nice what you did in your blog, mate, but irrelevant to my request (and incomplete as well,as it doesn´t mention MIUI and other things)I was asking for a compact and sticky topic here on XDA with links to ROM threads.
MIUI rom threads hasn't even hit alpha yet. When Owain finally created the dev thread (not the teaser), I'll include it just like I will include the alpha version of honeycomb later on.
http://xperiaminicyanogen.wordpress.com/custom-rom/miui/
Here, I add a short description of MIUI rom and a video. I have added the honeycomb too.
The most important roms can also be added to the wiki:

[MUST READ] PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING A NEW THREAD IN DEVELOPMENT !!!!!!!!!!!!

This thread has been created to let those who do not know what is allowed in development.
Things you CAN create a new thread for in Development
1. Roms (You created it or Ported it with permission)
2. Kernels (You compiled it and is GPL compliant)
3. System Dumps (Only one thread per new system dump) (First one wins the rest will be deleted)
4. S-Off Tool Kits (You created it)
5. Scripts (You created it)
6. If YOU created it you may post it
CREDITS
Credits must be given in your threads for whatever help you have received when creating something. If you port something then give credits and links to the where you ported it from. This goes for mods that you port as well. Permission must be given if you port a rom from another section. This is to prevent the originator from getting upset and there being a flame war between developers. We are all here for fun and as a hobby so lets all be friendly and do the right thing.
Things you may NOT create a new thread in Development for
1. Questions
2. Question
3. Roms YOU DID NOT create or port
4. Kernel YOU DID NOT create
5. S-Off Tool Kit YOU DID NOT create
6. Scripts YOU DID NOT create
7. Themes
8. Apps
9. IF YOU DID NOT CREATE IT OR PORT IT THEN DO NOT MAKE A THREAD FOR IT
Threads that are created that fall into the DO NOT CREATE list will be either deleted or moved. If you continually create new threads in the Development section that fall into the DO NOT CREATE you will start receiving Infractions or a Ban
PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL and know where the sections are.
GENERAL - is for general chat about the 3d
QUESTION & ANSWERS - This is for getting Questions and Answers
DEVELOPMENT - For something you CREATED
THEMES & APPS - For themes and apps that you have created, found or ported
I hope this finally puts an end to all the questions in the dev section.
yeah, It was getting very annoying when every zipmodder posts a rom with some custom wallpapers and stolen modded apks and some frameworks and calls it a ROM and then asks for donations !!
And please... No more "Coming soon" threads. Ubuntuz created one for JB on evo3d a couple of days for a rom that never came. I've always suspected him to full of crap. He's been saying that he's working on a mod to get the 3d camera working on AOSP since the beginning of the year. That never came. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt once. But c'mon.
Need confirmation/permission to start [INDEX] Thread.
As you probably know, we now have working camera for CM9!!!
Anyway, I am planning to make ONE [INDEX] thread that list all Kernels, Tweaks, Mods that I have confirmed to be working with CM9/AOSP. We don't really have much info on this as most of us didnt use CM because of the camera issue. Can I create this thread in Development? I take responsiblity to update it as frequently as I can. There maybe some apps in the list, simply because they use or run on CM9 Libraries.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - HTC Rezound (ADR6425/Vigor)

FAQ Post 1
Frequently Asked Questions
HTC Rezound (ADR6425/Vigor)
This a short list of frequently asked questions in this device forum and the answers often given as a response. It should serve as a starting point for gathering knowledge and finding solutions to many common problems. Please only post in this thread with feedback on how to improve this document. Do not post "Thank you" type responses. If you have additional questions or require more help, try to find an existing thread or create your own. Do not use this as a general help thread.
Q1: I try to ask a question in a development thread, but I keep getting flamed or called a noob. Why?
Respectfully, development threads located in the development forums for devices are not the right place to ask questions. You must first search using the sites search features for your answer. If an answer for your question cannot be found, then by all means please ask your question in the device forums "Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting" section. Which for the Rezound this section is found here: Rezound Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting.
Q2: I try to comment in my favorite developers thread in development, but I do not have 10 posts on XDA yet. What can I do?
The 10 post rule is an XDA rule and will likely not change for the foreseeable future. It's intended purpose is to maintain cleanliness and order in our developers threads in the development section by preventing new members from asking questions that may have been answered already or posting random comments that are not development related in those threads. So what you can do is go to the question and answers section for your device to ask your questions (after searching of course), or, if you are knowledgeable enough, try to answer some of the questions you find in your device's forums or on XDA's questions and answers forums. You will gain your 10 posts soon enough, and even better, in the appropriate way.
Q3: I want to learn more about the Rezound such as the device's specs, where can I find that info?
You may visit HTC's official device page here (once it is made available again ), XDA's Wiki page for the HTC Rezound, or view the devices page on wikipedia HERE.
Q4: Is the HTC Rezound "unlockable"?
Yes. Please see HERE for more info on unlocking the bootloader. Note that the HTC Rezound is a Verizon global device, and is therefore not SIM locked in any way.
Q5: Why does my screen go black when I'm on a phone call?
Your proximity sensor is being incorrectly triggered. Most of the time, this is calibration problem rather than a sensor problem. To fix, download Chad0989's Rezound Proximity Sensor Calibrator app. You will see a "NEAR" reading on the screen. Slowly increase the High Threshold until you see a "FAR" reading. Increase the High Threshold by 3-5 more than it takes to trigger a "FAR" reading. Test the new settings by covering and uncovering the Verizon logo on the front of the phone. The reading should switch between NEAR and FAR. Check "Set on boot" and close the app. If this fix does not work for you, your proximity sensor is bad, and you will need to contact Verizon for a replacement phone.
Q6: Why is my MicroSD card not being read or found by the device?
Please ensure your MicroSD card is formatted properly to fat32. More info on properly formatting an sd card can be found by doing a simple search in Google.
Q7: There is a bug in my favorite developers rom or other work. What can I do to help my developer?
Developers LOVE it when users get involved in trying to help fix bugs. The best thing you can do is create a "logcat" of the bug and then use a service such as pastebin.com to paste the logcat and provide a link in the developers thread with a small description of the bug and how to replicate it. For more info on taking a logcat here are two links you should read to learn all you need about logcat.
Link 1: This is the official logcat guide straight from Google/Android. Click Here
Link 2: This is an awesome guide written by another XDA member. It is a great guide. Click Here
Q8: What is a custom recovery?
A custom recovery takes the place of HTC's stock recovery once you root your phone. There are three custom recoveries TWRP (team win recovery project), CWMR (ClockworkMod Recovery) and Amon RA. When choosing which recovery to use, read the ROM/kernel op that you want to flash, most of the time they will tell you which recovery is sorted for their project. In most cases any of the recoveries work just fine, so ultimately the choice is up to you, but if you decide to go with a recovery that the developer did not recommend, you may not recieve support in that developers thread.
Q9: What is Wi-Fi Tether and how do I use it? (root only)
Wi-Fi tether is used to share your phones data connection (3G/4G) with another WiFi enabled device. It is not recommended to use WiFi Tether as your primary home internet. Doing so could cause excessive data charges on your bill. For a more comprehensive explanation and how to install and use Click Here
Q10: What is ADB and how do I use it?
Please see the official Google/Android ADB Guide
Q11: What is the proper way to install a Rom?
In almost every case the proper instructions for flashing a custom Rom will be posted in the ROM's OP. The typical instructions consist of downloading the ROM, transferring it to the root of your SD Card, Checking MD5 Sum, reboot to recovery, perform factory data reset, wipe system, data, dalvik cache, and cache, followed by installing the ROM from your external SD Card. Please do not report bugs to the developer if you have flashed the latest version of the ROM over the previous version without wiping or following the instructions properly. If you do have bugs and have not seen those bugs reported in the development thread for the ROM previously, please take a logcat as instructed in Q7 and report it to the developer.

Very good post. I find it very general though. It might be good idea to have it posted in other threads. I think a lot of people could benefit from this information. Even people who aren't using rezounds.

Ideally this is the exact point. To be a 'general' FAQ for the Rezound. If you venture into other device subforums you will find they too also have the same general FAQ. Of course with relavent info for each specific device.
Also, Recognized Developers are allowed to start FAQ/Q&A threads in the Q&A section which should extend their Rom threads in the Development section. Since this is a relatively new program, not many of the devs know about it.
Excellent FAQ - thanks!

@AmarGaming You have been posting several threads related to the same question here, here, here, here and this is your latest one. It serves no purpose. Please allow me to explain.
First and foremost, I urge you to read our Forum Rules before you continue posting. Here are some of the key aspects that apply here:
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting or creating a new thread. Whether you have a question or just something new to share, it's very likely that someone has already asked that question or shared that news.
(...)
5. Create a thread topic or post a message only once, this includes external links & streaming media.
As a large forum, we don't need unnecessary clutter. You're free to edit your message as you like, so if you do not receive an answer, revisit your message and see if you can describe your problem better. Not everyone is online at the same time so it might take a while before you receive an answer.
You can bump your unanswered question once every 24 hours
Duplicate threads and posts will be removed
Always post in an existing thread if a topic already exists, before creating a new thread.
Use our search function to find the best forum for your device.
Links to an external source are only allowed if relevant to the topic in hand. A description must be included, no copy & pasting from the original source.
Self-promotion is forbidden, this includes blogs, social media and video channels etc. Random links will be removed.

Please do not create more posts and/or threads to receive answers faster or that differ from the ones you have received so far. Some members have already reached out to you, please take in their advice more thoroughly before proceeding. The first answer you received was all you really needed:

If you do not understand the answers you are given, do not despair. Study them more carefully, learn more by doing research and ask questions in the appropriate already existing threads, only when you really need to. We're playing with expensive toys here. We wouldn't want anything bad to happen to them by rushing into things, right?
This is not a support service that will hold your hand every step of the way. We at XDA encourage you to make a personal effort in order to deserve guidance. Our community is based on a deeply rooted mutual respect and passion for our devices and its software. It can be a tough journey with plenty of setbacks but I can tell you, in the end, reaching your goal will be all the more rewarding. Every single unlock of that customized screen brings you a next level user experience.
Your journey can start here (but also here).
Good luck!
