Yes it works,i have test it. But dosnt look good on mini, dont try. U have to delete the conversation.apk and then install the stock sms.apk.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App

how can i do that? i tried:
deletet /system/app/Conversations.apk
copy your conversations.apk to /system
change permission to 644
moved it to /system/app
then it said: application not installed
ps: installing with adb was successful

kk could i also get the default contacts, calculator, camera apps?

I need the stock vibrant text msg app

My boss wanted me to upgrade his phone, so i did... he doesn't like the stock app that's being used in this build (xipher). Is there anything i can do to get him back to the stock one with the bubbles? Thanks in advance!
Yikes hopefully he or she doesn't fire you. Just kidding I believe you need to push the samsung messaging .apk with adb.
P. S. Be prepared to get attacked for posting in the wrong section
Opps... realized this is in the wrong spot. Can a mod please move it?
can you help me figure out how to do this? i downloaded all the stock apk files... is it mms.apk? how would i go about installing it? the phone has root, root explorer and astro.

With Root explorer you'd move the Samsung .apk into /system/app

Stock Gingerbread dialer/contacts on xperia arc???

Hi,
Can anyone point me on a right track to find solution to this tread???
I would like to replace stock xperia arc dialer/contacts app with native gingerbread as nexus or cm7 rom has. Plus i'm looking for solution to replace incoming call app on my arc because i'm using density=200 and it doesn't look nice...
Thanks in advance
Bump bump bump
Xperia have dialer from SonyEricsson. Original Android dialer looks like in screenshot. You must take it from some original rom cm7 or stock Motorola.
Try to install this.

Then backup your phone.apk to sdcard, and push my *.apk to system/app, set permissions & reboot.
You'll see if it works.

I've tried to do like you said but with another apk. and when it's not working, the Force Close (com.android.phone) never stop showed.

[Q] ON ICS Remove bloatware, but can't find APK

I have some bloatware i wanna remove, like 'Lets golf hd, 'fun&downloads' and a couple of more.
But it seems like i Titanium backup cant find the apk's. I run ICS 4.0.4 rooted and unlocked bootloader, and use explorer to system dir, looking through 'system/app' No apk's
But if i look on 'vendor/app' i see the apk's there. So i copied the apk's to 'system/app', but no luck
What is wrong here?

Thanks, helped a little bit. But not totally. Some progs are back after reboot. And if i wanna restore them and place them on SD they stop working.
But Still i wonder what is wrong here? Why is it like this? Some screw up from Android Dev? Or Sony?
And i did search, for 2 whole days before i made this post, google, xda, sony forum.
Still your suggestion did not show up in my searches.
But do u suggest we shall not post if our searches does not reach what other ppl find?
XDA is kinda big, there is a lot answers, ..and questions
So for your information, i will still post questions in the Neo section if i do not find it in the Neo section But i promise i will not post it in the ARC section
And to the case: The thread u suggested worked, to a limit. not 100% for my needs.
But for other with a Neo like me, that wanna go through this, please try the link codephus suggested: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26758586#post26758586
Also the App can be found in google play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...leanup.Inteks.org&feature=search_result&hl=en
Sony Neo and ICS 4..4 are easy: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26980804&postcount=3
well i was trying to encourage others towards doing a through search before they post
anyway, this might sound stupid and you might tried it before but: have you tried flashing 4.0.4 ftf without the "vendor.sin"?

Remove bloatware
Hi @all!
I'm running Android 4.0.4 rooted on locked bootloader Xperia Neo.
Don't know what's the matter but it seems that bloatware in /system/vendor/app/ (such as 'Fun & Downloads', 'Let's Golf', etc) cannot be deleted.
I tried to remove those packages from SManager, Es Explorer and Root Uninstaller with root permission but they just refuse (it gives an error).
Any idea?? How did you remove them and why I cannot?
Tnx a lot!

So, use Root Explorer and navigate to folder and press Mount R-W button, than you ll be able to delete it.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I mounted the partition with R/W permissions.
So, everybody can remove .apk's from /system/vendor/app/?

Ok guys. It might be just my phone.
I'm root and the partition is mounted with R/W permissions and yet it doesn't permit the files to be deleted. It just says that they cannot be deleted.
I tried with several file managers, such as SManager or ES File Explorer.

[Q] accidently just delete my Default HTC weather software..

Just delete the com.htc.weather and the other things for weather that are all about the default "weather" for htc... And I cant find what Can i do... Can u help me ? (Sorry for my English..):good:
Thank u!
In future I highly recommend using Titanium Backup when deleting Android Apps from your phone or tablet because it's free and it gives you the ability to backup the App since once you delete it there is no chance of getting it back unless you can find the APK on the internet and with stock software that's very unlikely you could try contacting the manufacturer for the APK file but it's unlikely they will be able to give it to you so just use other weather software.
Which phone and which ROM do you use?
How did you delete the stuff? Usually these things should be protected.
King combra ics ;p

[Q] Question about the SMS app on FXP CM9.1

Hi Guys,
I'm at a lost here. I just install the FXP CM9.1 Rom and it works great. What I miss though is the ability to select multiple recipients for a SMS. In the stock XPS sms app, you are able to pick all the recipients from a list before typing the message. In the FXP CM9.1 rom, you have to type each individual name in. My question is, is there a way to retrieve this function? Thanks guys!
no one?

Find the desired .apk and install
What phone are you using?
@nathan96: Where would I be able to find the stock XPS sms app apk? Thanks.
@DoctorRedWater: I am using the XP S.

If someone has XPS with stock rom and root access, ask them to copy for you the sms app apk from system/app folder...that should do it.
There's threads about with the Xperia T apps, they have the conversations apk u need
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
I grabbed the Conversations.apk from my stock ics system and dropped it into the CM9.1 system/app with rw-r-r permissions and rebooted. It did not work. It looks likes I need a file called mms.apk. However, I can not find a mms.apk that I know that have the feature that I am looking for (ability to select multiple names from a list instead of needing to type in each name individually.)
