Hey guys, im thinking of getting a LG Optimus One(p500), is it worth the money? (170 euros over here), does it slow down, is the camera good, etc? or should i get something else?

It's generally decent for the price, there's plenty of roms in the development section for it, the camera is USELESS in the dark though. everything else works perfectly though.

However, there's a few issue you have to take note of.Even though it's froyo aka Android 2.2, because of the hardware, it does not support Adobe Flash Player. And there is a bug in this phone and that is when you touch the screen when playing games or doing anything else, the frames will drop and the phone will lag. It's a touch screen bug I believe.Just hope that Android 2.3 will take care of this problem.Take note of all those things.

Its a great device for the price I bought it in Germany for 242€ on Amazon.
It does have some software issues.
On the Hardware side the device is pretty good.
The Screen is a LCD screen compared to the OLED of the i5700 it doesnt have any pixel problems.
The camera is more then enough for making pictures except in the dark I think even an LED Light wouldn't make so much differences. And who is making pictures late at night? Outside even and LED light wouldnt make a difference.
On new year I will try to make some pictures with it. ^_^
The device does have enough RAM and besides the software-issues its a great device.
I'm sure LG will fix this for their most successful android smartphone.

And we will get Gingerbread...

My first post in here... well...
im using this phone since 2nd December ... i bought it at 205euros [device only, unbranded etc etc...] with car charger + windshield stand.
I previously had an iPhone 3G and sold it because i got bored with that... so actually that's my 1st android device.
For the ammount of money i've spent ... the accesories i got along + a bluetooth stereo that i use for music, i have to say that it's the best phone i've seen!
I've been searching the market after selling my iphone for a new one with android [2.2froyo from the box!] with a price around 200euros and that's the only one i found!
This phone is a bargain and for me the only disadvantage is the Screen lag when being touched [software problem, may be fixed on gingerbread] and the fact that it doesnt have v7 processor so it doesnt support flash [no big deal but... :/]

O boy o boy.. I got me here one of them Fotonz

Well i woke up and drove out to sprint way earlier today.
I have to admit, i did give a split thought to the evo3d because they got the 2.3.4 update. But no way could it make everything perfect in that ota. So i went with my original choice.
This phone is sexy. It is really fast... doing side by side actions with the epic on gb, the photon was twice as fast if not more in some areas.
Pure computing power this phone noticeably crushes my epic.
Not once was i frustrated an app didnt open instantly, how
I wanted my epic experience to be.
The fone is growing on me and i love it more the longer i have it.
I love the MOTOBLUR. Great balance between pure google and overlay ui. Very cool experience you cant find with any other oem ui.
Like the extensive integration with social networks.
I love how the stock music player does the lyrics, that was a surprise today. And many other cool things but i have to cut this short. But i have to mention, the screens on the display units are not the same on our consumer handsets. It looked complete trash on the demo, but my fone screen is amazing.. no screen issues at all. I did have call bug very first call. Remove sim and im good.
And lastly, i understand about you guys saying youre not eorried about the Galaxy anymore. I may keep this.
Something about pulling up gps status and getting INSTANT 9 of 9 sats inside the appartment with zero error that makes me feel all warm and goey inside

Very cool you got u one of these Mo-Phos... I think you'll like it.
I'm still on the fence as to whether i'm going to perma-keep mines.. lol
when the GS2 comes out, I'll play with it for sure, but if it has crippled GPS/bluetooth, I'll just stick w/ moto this time.

[Q] Lumia 800 high capacity internal battery?

Hello Folks,
some days ago, I bought from Ebay a new battery to my mother's iPhone, I bought a battery with 2430 mAh, I had searched for one like that to Lumia 800, I have a WP7, LG E900 with a battery like that and I can use it for three days without change the battery, any one here can say here a find a battery like that to Lumia 800?
Thanks!!!
dont use batteries that arent made only for your phone or produced from nokia in your case.
If its a fake 1)the battery life will go down very fast 2)you will for sure have a problem when charging your phone with extreme temps and lastly there is even a chance with chinese or fake batteries that they will explode(not like a bomb but still will ruin your phone) if exposed in high temps(sun etc)
All replacement batteries arent that bad. Before buying read the reviews in amazon etc. For example I had an "extended" battery on my Samsung galaxy s and I never had any problems with it, and it really improved the battery life. Though I remember news about exploding phones when using these replacement batteries. Yes, of course there is a risk, and it is a risk that you should think about. In my opinion your Lumia 800 is too expensive to gamble
i thought you couldnt replace batteries for this phone?!? isnt it like the iphone, ie built in (cant get it out)

It can be replaced but you need to take the phone apart. It is not very difficult though.

Is it worth it to replace the S4 with an Ultra?

Hello everyone I hope you all are having a wonderful day.
The Xperia Z Ultra is very cheap in my area right now, $350, and am now wondering if I should replace my Galaxy S4 with this device.
For those of you who have had this device for a while, do you guys think that it would be a worthwhile upgrade?
I also have a Nexus 7, so I sort of understand how this phone would feel in my hands.
Also is the battery life and camera as bad as people say it is?
Thank you for reading and I can't wait to hear your replies.
I would definitely do it. It's not as big as the Nexus 7, but it's still pretty big for a phone. You do get used to the size pretty quickly though. The camera is not directly good, but it's not incredibly bad either. It performs OK in daylight. You can go through the Photos thread and see for yourself. The one posted here was taken a couple of weeks ago by me.
The battery is actually very good. You can check out the Battery thread yourself, but you can expect to get around 5-8 hours of screen time depending on usage.

The camera is ok in really bright locations, if it's anything other than sunny, it's terrible. I just moved from a nexus 5 to this phone, GPe, not sure I'm going to keep using as my main phone.
battery life is great, considering it has such a huge screen
camera is not as great as others. this is a tablet-like phone, not a phone focusing on camera.
if you want a good camera, look elsewhere.
Just learn how to use the camera and it's not too bad in lower light
Battery life isn't bad.. Actually pretty good especially when brand new. Close to two days when new but after many hours of heavy online gaming the battery life has dropped on mine. Still get about a day though.
I recently ordered a Z Ultra online, and now it's on its way!
Can't wait! Thanks for all the reply's! :highfive:

Is it worth buying?

Hey everyone, was thinking of buying this phone (snapdragon version) from aliexpress, read the other thread but it didn't answer my questions. I would be upgrading from an i9300 samsung (yeah it's old as heck, but it still works kinda flawlessly (messed up the gsm/3g network antenna)). I understand that performance wise the difference will be night and day, but after looking at a few reviews online i'm starting to wounder about the camera quality. If i compare to the 13mpx camera on the mtk version the photos in average lighting and video in average lighting look worse than those same samples taken on the 8mpx i9300 ones. I take videos a few times a week and i usually take out my phone to shoot photos of some modeling projects (usually parts and combinations of then, less often girls), cars and other stuff i like and want a good amount of detail (at least as much as i can get from my S3).
Also how is the network reception? I'm usually at places where network reception is poor for me (again, f-ed up a bit with my phone).
=And a side idea=
Any chance you can fit the 4.1Ah li-ion from the redmi 3/ 3 pro? I have had a few times on some other phones where li-po batteries are in use get hot to an unpleasant degree while charging and never had those issues with li-ion's.
My answer is yes it is worth it, for the money you will not find much better. However it is still a budget phone and it has compromises, the camera is good but not the best, low light performance is grainy as you might expect.
However in good light it can capture very nice detail.

I havent tested video yet but there are some nice video demos of this phone on youtube. It is capable of recording in 4k but the frame rate is a bit choppy.
Reception is fine for me, I cant comment how it will be for you if you usually experience poor signals, my area is usually very good.

Multi Touch Screen Problem identified in the Chinese Xiaomi Forum

Good day people out there!
I`m in the position currently of trying to buy a new phone, and the K20 pro seemed like a really good option for its CP ratio. Being a long time Xiaomi user I knew there will be tons of issues with the first production run so I have been actively monitoring the Xiaomi CN forums.
Currently, there is a big controversy going on about a range of Multi-Touch Screen Problems when more than 1 or 2 fingers placed on the screen. Shaky screen, what they are calling it now, happens when you hold 1 finger down and swipe the other one around, the stationary finger`s input is often interrupted and moves. This kind of behaviour is most obvious in games such as PUBG when you are trying to move, shoot and adjust aim at the same time, which happens a lot in close quarter combats. Supposedly there has been a new small scale release of firmware 10.30.0 that aims at optimising (not resolving from the words the devs are using) this issue and people are reporting mixed results.

Another interesting thing is that this shaky behaviour is vastly reduced if you take the case off the phone and have your palm touch the midframe directly when gaming, or when you put the phone on the charger, and if you put the phone on the table and test it that way it shakes badly. Seems like a static noise issue if you ask me, and some other 1+7 users are also experiencing a similar issue.
So, for those that have access of a K20 pro, would you be able to test this and see how widely spread it is? Also, if you are on EU Rom, please also do test and see if this is resolved in the EU release! If yall want me to keep updating interesting info I found over at the CN forum please do let me know!
Cheers, and stay awesome!
edit: Info update
After some research around the issue, apparently this is not a K20 series specific issue. Galaxy s10, Mi9, IQOO, and Blackshark users are all experience similar issues, just as widespread as the K20, but is there for sure. The similarity here is that all of these phones have Samsung AMOLED, so.....
I haven't seen any reports of this from OnePlus 7 users, can you link me to that?
nice Information
It's not that bad
Chinese MIUI 10.3.11
