It's a native Android rom, they kept it as clean as possible.

AOSP = Android Open Source Project

UBUNTU OS IS UBUNTU OS (JUST ANOTHER KERNEL BASED OS), WHO INFORMED YOU IT IS BASED ON CM10.1/JB
But to say Ubuntu Touch is just Cyanogenmod with a skin on it would have to be false since Ubuntu does not use a virtual machine to run it ui or apps.

I guess we will never get it. As we will never get CM 10.1, we will get CM 10 though....

We need sources, not devs. It's impossible to get a working jelly bean rom without st-ericsson sources.

Sorry dude, You misunderstood. Ubuntu is not based on CM. CM is based on AOSP (android). In no way CM and Ubuntu are dependent on one another. They said
Code:
You can find all the needed Android git repositories at http://phablet.ubuntu.com/gitweb. This is basically a mirror of CyanogenMod 10.1, but containing only the needed low level services used by Android (e.g. no Dalvik at all).
It is for developers who want to bring the features of android to Ubuntu Touch. Thats all.
And Yes, there is a possibility that we may get Ubuntu, but not probably.

What is cm 9 & cm 10

Can anyone tell me that how can i see that which version of cm is running on my device??
Sent from my SK17i using xda app-developers app
go to
settings -> about phone -> cyanogenmod version
Or you can see it by going to settings -> about phone and look at the android version
Cm9 = Android 4.0.4
Cm10= Android 4.1.2
Cm10.1=Android 4.2.2
That's it

Android L is not yet fully released. Not for Nexus even.
There is just Developer Preview released which is very unstable.
Real Android L will come out near September/October.
Then you can port it.
1. To port a ROM, there should be a base with SAME Android version. So porting is not possible.
2. You CANNOT use CM11 as base.
CM11 is Kitkat 4.4.x Android L is different version.
Press Thanks if helped.
