Working App2SD Process for S7 - Ideos S7 Android Development

We have a working process for getting Apps2SD running on the S7 that our group is now testing.
You can read all about it here: http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/huawei-tablets/5362-apps2sd-discussion.html
Thanks!

I`m looking for app2sd for a long time and I would glad to test your work, but i have no idea about adb. If only You could make "user-friendly" guide....

really nice work in progress there
It is a nice work going on there about this device and the small (175MB) memory it has for apps.
it is too low indeed.
problem is there are at least two versions of the S7 one with internal sdcard and (two cameras maybe) one without and thats is a bit more tricky to script for both.
Rictec

duuude duuudeee duuuddeee !!! thx for the fushizul of the scripting buuutt mmmaaannn we aren`t all devs or f....k nasa m8ts !!! i realy did not understand a thing of what is whriten in the article ..... is there a way to just click and go i have the tablet and i even cant handle the debugg usb problem can fix it it dosen`t install the drivers it needs and i cant find drivers anywhere i try to start the guide but freezed at adb shell it says device is not recognized and thats that for me
is there an easyer way to make this thing work ... i realy love my tabled working at 1200 mhz cpu with no problems i don`t care bout battery life it sux only 2 hours or less but i`m always on charger so not a big problem for me but the low space is reayl bugging me out have to uninstall so i can install a program game or what ever pls help thx in advance and hope u all can get in my place of an machenic idiot ahhahahaha
and one more thing sorry for my bad engl ... i`m not english speaking nationality !

I'm at the bottom of the coding heap & I found after a few attemps and several reflashes the process given in the androidtablet.net forum relatively straight forward.
Since moving to the Link2SD app from the market(only because I had to change SD cards) and the same forum indicated better portability for this I have found that (for reasons I have yet to resolve) I am running out of space where with the App2SD I didn't or the device wasn't alerting me to this condition.
So if memory is the only problem and the scripting poses an issue then Link2SD is probably the easiest solution

Don't waste your time

Hi,
I have had it ! I decided to change my PocketPC OS to some company other than Microsoft !
Each time I install a new Program(most of the good ones) in the WM2003se ... either hang or Hard Reset !
Don't wast your time with it ..
Also , Don't wast your time developing or looking after better extended ROM !
Simply install you OS , then install all your favorite Programs in your favorite location (SD may be) then set all of the copy protection serials numbers and then perform a backup in your SD (using Sprite or any other that provide Self extracting) !
Whenever you have a problem .. simply hardreset .. then restore !
Sorry for being so straight !

Any
That may be a good solution for your situation but that doesn't mean that it will for for every body!
I like my self cooked Extended ROM and haven't experienced any hang or hardreset until know.
Also everyone must be aware of the fact that not every application will run on the w2k3 se. Just like it doesn't on your PC.
So there is not one solution and the solution is specific to the needs someone has.
Regards,
Mark
Waleed,
Sorry you feel that way but for me its the real fun part of owning a XDA II. Coz being an engineer also helps .. we love to fix things, even if it aint broke ... until it breaks.
Cheers

My sentiments too... It's a TOY for me to bash!!!!!!
I've only experienced 1 hang:- with XCPUScalar ver 2.82. I upgraded to ver 2.85 and my device is running smoother than the old 1.66.00WWE ROM.
Mind you, I don't run that many apps either. Just calculators / Adobe / XSForms etc...
I installed and am enjoying using Fonix Voice Dial, which I never would have since ROM 1.72 isn't released for Asia as yet!
Either way, I am having a ball playing with this powerful work tool... cough... toy!
Recrem...
Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition, WOW....!!, It's a Fenomenal ROM, I very like it !!!, but if you don't, just to downgraded to 1.72 + SRS Appl.
Cheers,

i fried my bootloader, how can i write it (without SD card)

In last weeks i worked to unlok my wallaby, when i wrote xda-developers cooked version i discovered that test menu (when tou make a warm and/or cold reset) didn't work anymore. I 've been reading in this and other forums looking for solution in my hard purpose to use again my xda wallaby.
I used SD card method unsuccesfully. I canĀ“t initialize OS and only i got it's a T-Mobile logo and starting these numbers:
G324e4
R6.25.02
4.01.16
i got anymore else... people say to me that using a serial cable and mtty11a.exe i would get some results but i'm building a serial cable because here in mexico, support and to buy international is not a good and cheap option.
Somebody tell me that i need a byteblaster cable to fix but it is a little bit confuse (too much!!!) for me.
I hope anybody help me please. I 've been reading a lot but or a'm a real idiot or this problem is in XDA play off's.
I think a lot of people have or had this kind of trouble and i think would be great build a solid tutorial to fix these structural problems inthe way to make less difficult its fix.
Thanks a lot....
excuse my bad english it is not my native language.

Yes, tested but doesn't work with a game called SensorMAze for HTC. Could you pleas upload a game to test it?
Thanks
doesn't work with Asphalt 4, Ferrari GT, Xtrakt, Experiment 13.
Work with NFS Undercover
Amazing stuff thank you for your efforts.
Yes! keep up the good work man
you sir are a genius, brilliant little mod. resco works good. just a little question though, is there any way to increase the sensitivity? i have calibrated it in-game and with windows 6.5 but it seem that if i tilit it left then right it takes a few seconds for the momentum to stop and the ball to turn back.
other than that, your .dll is great, good work
Great
Works but as the last post said there is a minor delay going from left to right, im testing GLESBoing (doodle jump like game).
really great. thanks a lot, had been waiting for something like that for ages.
tested with G-alarm, working u

i test this problem ,i find the TG01 G_sensor data have more fluctuation(or noise) than HTC diamond .when the mobile phone comes to a standstill,TG01 data fluctuation about 0.020g,but HTC diamond about 0.002g, i don't know what caused this problem,Toshiba's driver or TG01 accelerometer chip?
Great work - thanks!
Great work, but in Omnia (first version) HTCemu is much better. May be sensor in Omnia is better, but i don't think so. We have a lot of job...
Thanks Man I've really tried for a long time to get the sensor workin thanks buddy!!!!!!!!!!

i just tried changing the .net from 3.5 to 2.0 and it seemed to have it made it more eratic in the menu display and i felt like it was less floppy in the game, may just have been me on my tg01 but it may lend itself to something .net is setup as to how fast the g-sensor gets processed?
if it was a htc one then its generally accepted code but if its a custom/unknown one then the commands would/might be different and may need interpreting before they even get close to doing something, causing a delay.
can we probe the chip to see what it actually accepts somehow? like you can on modems?

Could anyone post more programs when this "translator" works correctly? I've tested some HTC apps and response seems to be a bit "slow".
Thanks!
(However, you have been the first able to do it, congratulations of course!)
It is rather good
Hello chaps,
So far the program seems very functional. The only thing I've tried that doesn't work is Sensormaze. Marble Worlds 2 and NFS have been transformed.
Many thanks once again.
Cheers,
David.

i think .net influences the game speed rather than my driver or tg01 driver, because my driver is based on win32 having nothing to do with .net,and tg01 driver can not work under the .net. But i will test it .
actually,it is not delay ,it's just a bit of out of control .
the next work is trying to bypass the Toshiba's own driver and read the chips data directly to see it ,but is hard for me.
Good job...
i tried Gpad... works too...
G sensor is recignized... but Xtract.exe still doesn't work... maybe because version 2...
other keep it up !! Good Work...
Looks so gooodddd...

not sure if this helps but i was looking at the qualcomm website and it said the hardware supports windows & linux so could we not pull a linux driver and wrap it up so it can be used by win32? or even comparing the different drivers against other snapdragon based devices to see if we can pull a nugget to help us?
also i remember seeing a reg setting for the g-sensor and the dword was 101,i increased it on my device to 200 a while ago and it did nothing but crash my tg01, im going to try again with smaller increments and see if there is any change in anything. is there any programs around to monitor the responsiveness of the sensor directly on the device in realtime?

Help connecting a usb xbox 360 controller to my s3

Hello, i have a usb xbox 360 controller (realy a usb nothing a charge cable) and a OTG cable, I've seen many videos where to connect these control the galaxy s3 is automatically recognized but in my phone with JB 4.2 and stock kernel only frash the lights, not recognized in any way with any buttons ...... Wath I do wrong?
Sorry for my bad ..VERY BAD ENGLISH xD but this I mean:
http://youtu.be/lrZ-xnzYVLA
Hey everyone, I'm having the same problem and unfortunately searching has not provided a definitive answer. Some youtube vids and articles say you can just plug and play, others say you need to root and use the sixaxis app or the usb/bt joystick app.
Like the OP I have an S3 on 4.1.1, but when I plug in the official wired xbox pad, it doesn't appear to be recognised. Youtube vids show grand theft auto 3 working without anything more then using an OTG cable to connect the pad. I downloaded the usb/bt joystick app and it recognises the pad, but pretty sure I would need to root the phone in order for that to work properly (although I did manage to get the analogue sticks working at least).
If anyone knows for definite whether the pad should work without any apps I would really appreciate any advice.
Thanks!
I already made a small research, it was a big dump of crap
For native support, we need first of all, recomiled xpad.ko and ff-memless.ko modules for the latest kernel, but no of the devs took a look at this problem.
As a programmer noob, I wasnt even able to do this, so it is still up to the devs for helping out on this ****.
I also mailed samsung and the told me, they will pass on the actual situation and maybe we will ged support in near future. so take it on and contract samsung, possibly it will bring something
and sorry for my bad english, hadnt any real conversation for more than a half year.

Yeah man you you're right ... just waiting.
Thanks guys, much appreciated! Guess I'll just wait it out then, the people in the vids must have rooted, was kinda hard to tell.
Of course you need root, mate, without root there is nothing possible.
Only with root you can place modules inside your system partition, use init.d and launch modules trough an terminal emulator or just as I said, have a custom kernel with init.d support, so you can setup a script, that will start the modules just at boot of your phone.
but I havent found anyone who could do this, and I dont have any ideas how to code or compile the ****^^
there are also some versions of the module e.g. for ICS kernels, for GB too, and for extremely old based kernels like 2.6.xxxx, but nothing for exynos based 3.0.31 kernel that sucks

[Q] tx power

Hi I'm new in this forum, and android, and looking for some help
some weeks ago I received a chinese android phone dual sim
BML GT-6802
android 4.1.2 (I doubt this, in somewhere I found the phone identify itself as android gingerbread....)
kernel 2.6.35.7
CPU 400 MHz~1GHz
RAM 216.5 MB
FLASH 150 MB
rooted using zhuodashi
the problem is wifi range is only 1 meter an bluetooth 1 cm
I looked for update with no luck
I called the seller
I tried iwconfig, hcitool with no luck (maybe I didn't have some command, or I wrote something wrong)
I tried the antenna fix of here forum . xda-developers . com / showthread.php ? t=1688538 (only stick the cable because I don't want take the risk if is not the real failure)
I think the phone has some instruction limiting the TX (or maybe the wifi/bluetooth module (HW) is defective)
some ideas?
have a nice day
anyone ? any clue could be usefull
One of the main issues is that you don't even have enough ram to properly run Android OS. Most Chinese knock off devices seldom have the hardware they claim. I'm sorry to say but there may not be a fix

No it wasn't. Only google can change that much of the source code. Without the proper kernel source code you are kinda out of luck. And they almost never release it.
