I think you should have the auto-rotate on for the stock player to rotate.

So most roms take the google music app as musicplayer... but I don't like it. How do I put the stock music app on my sgs3? I'm now on checkrom... can I take the stock music app from there? heeeelp!!!

Most SGS3 Samsung based roms use the Stock Samsung Music Player not the Google version .
If you are on a Samsung based rom just use the stock music player apk from one of the stock custom roms or stock apps posted a bit of Googling should find the APK .

No, It can't be done. Miui apps are interconnected to each other, so its is difficult to separate a single app from other apps. Even if you do successfully separate the music app from other apps it still won't work without em.
