Anyone know why Facebook (Full Site) crashes Dolphin HD and Stock browser.
Just recently, Facebook (Full Site) crashes Dolphin and Stock browser. Unless recently, it has worked with no problems
Whatever User Agent you use, whatever the browser, when you go to the full site on the Dell Streak (possibly others?) it just closes, once loaded
Anyone know why this has happened, and how to fix?

Not happening to me have you tried clearing out your browser cache? Also uninstall dolphin and reinstall.

Actually you can find more clues with the guys in Dolphin if it is a problem with the browser to [email protected].
But if it is a problem with Facebook, then you can write to them as well.
i can open the m.facebook page on Dolphin HD v5.1.1 .
it works fine, and faster than the v5.1.0 version.

Is this regular dolphin browser or dolphin hd? I havent had any problems with dolphin hd on these sites.
HD version 5.1.0

Desktop mode in past versions was buggy for me, havent tried it with version 5.x. If you can't resolve things I would try miren browser as it seems to handle non-mobile sites better for me. As a bonus it also seems to do flash better than dolphin.
I'm running Cognition 1.5 with Ninphetamine 2.1.3.
Whenever I open a Gawker media site such as Gizmodo or Lifehacker and tap "more stories" at the bottom of the page, as soon as I click a link to an article Dolphin just crashes. It doesn't happen on the first page, only on link in the second/third etc.
I'm using the mobile site too.
Same thing happens on stock browser too.
Anyone got any ideas?

So what's exactly the issue with Dolphin Browser?
Weird indeed, I don't have any crashes when I click that. I've tried it on Dolphin mini and stock browser.
Has anyone else had a problem with the Opera Mobile browser frequently freezing on the S2? I had to uninstall Dolphin HD as it was causing spontaneous reboots, but Opera Mobile seems even worse.
I'm running stock XWKI4 (2.3.4), upgraded via Kies and rooted.
No, works perfectly and is the only browser I use.
Which firmware/ROM are you running?
Works ok for me except not able to view videos in it.always shows a black box instead. Both versions of opera very stable other than that.

Opera has been rock solid for me. If you can't view flash, it's likely because you tried to use titanium backup or alike to integrate adobe flash into rom. It breaks the flash functionality sometimes. So you want to uninstall adobe flash then install again.

Didn't work which is a pain. Just uninstalled flash instead. Opera is by far the best browser so far except for that small issue.

Did you check your settings to see if flash is off? You can choose on demand, off, on. If I recall rightly it defaults to on demand and then you click on a video you want to see in the browser itself on order to view it. I leave it that way, most embedded video I have no interest in.
Odd that it's just me that has this problem. I just tried rebooting, then opened Opera Mobile again, hit the Guardian mobile news site and it froze a few seconds after bringing up the first article. Completely un-usable. Opera Mini is fine however

check opera mobile/mini thread. Yesterday there somebody described the same issue on sgs2, so you are not alone.
I really dislike the default browser that comes with the s3.
Previous phones I have ran aosp browser and the miui browser. Both were much better imo.

Give it a try, and you'll see why.
Dolphin HD is fantastic. Chrome in my opinion is ever so slightly more fantastic. I have both installed but Chrome is my default.

Just yesterday I was "snooping" on my wife using Chrome on my PC while browsing reddit, and I was checking out the tabs she was opening... 2xychromosome?!
I have tried dolphin browser and I am not too crazy about it. Never tried chrome for android, might give that a go.

I used to be a big fan of Skyfire but they haven't updated their support for ICS yet. They seemed to also be a bit on the slow side but I stuck with them from their Windows Mobile days (HD2). Now though I use the stock browser and it allows for a desktop mode. Its quick and I have none of the downloading display issues I was having with Skyfire.

I use chrome as my default and dolphin hd whenever I need to load a page in desktop mode that doesn't work with chrome.

Chrome if you use the google features. If you don't use Chrome on a PC or doesn't know what it offers, then Chrome isn't really useful for you.
Opera
I am currently using the stock and the Opera mobile, looks like the former got too many bugs least of which is that can't locate my device for attachments and also doesn't show certain links.
On the other hand the Opera seems stopped supporting Adobe Flash player so no plug ins.
Any browser out there that can do all of this without problem?, thanks.

Any idea how to sync the google bookmarks on dolphin? I login with my google account and it is stated sync successfully, but the bookmarks still not showing.
Any advice?

I find Boat to be the most functional, lightest, and quickest.
Before I just use Dolphin HD but now after all the Mobile and desktop bookmarks are sync I just go all the way Google Chrome
Using Maxthon browser for almost 8 months now, won't ever change it, it is the best browser for me, try it.
Maxthon,ok will give it a try,still couldnt find the perfect one..hope this one is better.

With all their shortcomings I am back to using The Stock Browser and Opera Mobile these two seem to complement each other.

Text reflow is not needed if you do a proper configuration in the stock browser's Settings ~ Accessibility.
