[REQ] Stock Keyboard

I know everyone loves SWYPE but does anyone have the stock Samsung Vibrant keyboard apk? I flashed Eugenes Vibrant9 and the stock keyboard is not on here. SWYPE is great but I really like the stock keyboard.
I am also interested in this... as well as the stock ANDROID keyboard.
anyone have any ideas?
Personally I prefer the HTC keyboard. Search for HTC IME mod. It is a gear keyboard with lots of features including volume control moves cursor... Google search is my friend when it comes to this tweaking stuff
Just look in a previous version of eugene's vibrant roms, Vibrant 1 probably has it

I pulled the file from the Deoxed ROM listed in the Vibrant Bible, dropped it into system/app using Root Explorer, ran fix permissions, and then rebooted. Worked wonderfully.
For the life of me I cannot find the LatinIME.apk file in anomalous3's Deodexed ROM (version 1.2). I feel like either I keep overlooking it or it has been renamed. Does anyone have some input? Thanks guys!
When yiur typing anythjng just long press the screen sekect input method and choose the keyboard of yiur choice

If you're looking for the SAMSUNG keyboard, the file name is AXT9IME or something close to that (at work and brain fuddled), and it's in system/app.
i tried to copy it, using root explorer to system/app
and fixed permisions and rebooted and i still cant get the samsung t9 working

can anyone send me mt4g's stock keyboard apk?

hey guys, i rooted and while deleting most of the bloatware, i accidentally deleted the stock keyboard that came with the mt4g. all that i'm left with is the swype keyboard. or if you have any helpful links to a system dump where i can extract the keyboard file that would be awesome. the specific one that i deleted reads as "touch input" keyboard when trying to switch keyboards while texting.
thanks in advance
Ryan
U can download the iced glacier rom in the forum and pull it out of there. I did the same thing, but deleted swype.

[Q] Black Themed Multitouch Keyboard

Looking for a black themed keyboard (not Gingerbread one). running Eclipse .5 and installed the WJD black keyboard mod for the X1 and broke my multitouch. Did not back up, how would I reverse the process to return to normal keyboard on Eclipse?
Also, a black themed multitouch would be nice for our dark x2 themes, any suggestions on where I could find one? Thank you.
which version of eclipse had a multi touch? I can drag out my black keyboard from it (themed I mean)
Im running the latest version, .5 I believe. Tried swype etc but got used to the keys on that one. Would appreciate that black themed multitouch... Thanks.

Did u happen to have the black themed keyboard for 2.1 or 2.2? Im on 2.1 but going to 2.2 maybe later since all a sudden I can't get into accounts again when it was working before.
Yeah I think I came on board at 2.2 but I didnt make the keyboard black for that. If I am not mistaken, the kb for 0.5 would work on 2.2
Cool ill try it later. Forgot it was same keyboard

Not necessarily looking for a better looking keyboard, but one that my thumbs won't bump into each other and predicts pretty well. Thumb kb looks interesting...

This is the one that I've seen with arrows. If you want a stock version just take it out of a ROM .zip that has the one you want.

If you check the Interactive Phone Modification thread in the stickies of this forum there was some discussion about changing the color of the letters on the keyboard using a parameter in an XML file near the end of that thread. You might be able to figure it out from that, but I've never seen a Sense 3.6 keyboard with arrows that has black letters and symbols on a white background.

How did you get this to work on SpeedROM? I installed it and it shows in my list if input methods, but the standard keyboard checkbox is greyed out so I can't remove that input method to get this one working.

Anyone has the problem when the app force close after rebooting the phone then you'd have to reinstall the app for it to work again?
Looks exactly the ICS keyboard but without those awful arrows on the right side. I'm still using the Gingerbread keyboard lol.

Settings > Language & Keyboard > Put a check on that input method then there's an option to use that as default. You need to pick it from there. Gone are the days of long pressing and choosing your input method.
