[SOLVED] Just Flashed the correct official ship rom from HTC site using my HD2 Serial Number... It works like a charm. SPL has downgraded to 1.46
Thanks everyone who helping...
Just Flashing Stock Rom RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2. 15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe, I got stuck in bootloder.
- Error 294 Invalid Vender ID
- SPL 3.03.0000 can't HSPL-ed with HSPL3, SPL 3.03 is't listed as supported SPL
Flashed RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.66.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship.exe, still stuck on bootloader.
- Error 294 Invalid Vender ID
- SPL 3.03.0000
- on boot loader screen said: Update fail code error, please try again
Try to get stock rom from HTC official site, but no rom suitable for S/N I entered.
Need help, is there any workaround for it?
Thanks
Edit 1: I Tried this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=606713 but also not working...
Edit 2: I visit again this site http://www.htc.com/sea/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=297&cat=2&dl_id=1063 and put my Serial Number and it has the Official Rom for my S/N (yesterday maybe i put the wrong letter or number), downloading now, let see how it works...

Same thing happening on mine too.. Not able to downgrade stock spl 3.14 to any other lower spl. i tried flashing various shipped roms with spl 1.66, 2.07, 2.10 etc.. no luck.. Does anyone know what to do for this problem???

same issue, been trying to get it back for days. i think my problem is the radio, i can'r get it to reflash now.

hi guys , u need download ur original room ( stock room ) and flash in normal way . after that ur spl is 1.66 or 1.42 depend ur network , after that u ready to upgrade with the rom u want .

Hello to everyone, the problem you mention isn't related to the stock ROM 3.14 but are related to the users who are flashing a non compatible aria ROM.
So my instructions to you are the follow use the stock rom that came from your aria; download the right stock rom from the HTC webpage by using YOUR S/N.

Moved thread to the right section.

yep tried that, flashed RUU_Leo_Vodafone_DE_1.72.162.0_Radio_CRC_Signed_15.32.50.07U_2.07.51.22_2_Ship.exe
i ran it from the sd card and everything said ok but still only loads to tricolour bootloader. i think it has something to do with the radio...won't update from RUU (been using LeoAdvancedRUU 1.03) or sd.
think i'm screwed...

Hi All,
I was facing this same issue for a long time with respect to the 3.03 ROMS.... Yesterday while searching for a solution, I found a website which hosts all types of Shipped ROMS ever published... Just select the ROM belonging to your region from there and Flash it... that will downgrade your SPL to the lower versions... (I personally flashed the 1.48 series ROM for INDIA which is available in that list and now am using WP7 ROM by DFT.... )
Hope this Helps !!!! CHEERS !!!
Please find the URL for India 1.48 series ROM below
P.S. You will find all roms on this website... just do a Ctrl+F for your country on the list of the ROM page.

How did you flash the original SPL?
As far as I know there is no JumpSPL or SoftSPL for Raphael yet? Or am I wrong?

RAPH Paper weight - SPL

Dear all,
I am facing a problem here.
Had a hardware problem with the built in microphone and had to revert back to stock rom/splash screen/Original SPL in that order.
Had no problems reverting the ROM and the original screen back (just a couple of flashes), BUT when I tried to revert back the stock SPL here http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=110582&d=1220406410
I renamed the file to RAPHIMG.nbh, copied it to the root of the SD Card and entered bootloader mode and this is what it displays:
RAPH100
SPL-1.90.0000 (Which means a successful flash)
!!! AND THEN THIS !!!
"Upgrade ROM code error"
"Please try again"
This message is located in the last part of the green stripe in the tri color screen (bootloader)
It is then followed by the grey screen automatically which you are supposed to press volume key to start a flash process BUT it just HANGS at Loading...
unabling you to flash anything.
It's actually a friend's phone too so I guess you understand how hard it is....
Any help is appreciated
Thanks in advance
Possible image might be corrupt on sd card, grey screen is shown when it's trying to read sd, have you tried with sd removed? if you get to 2nd tricolor screen with sd removed i would use usb flash to restore it to working order..

Removed the SD and it stays at the tricolor screen with the spl version as mentioned in 1st post.
Also, displaying the Upgrade ROM code error, please try again message
The mode is currently serial
What can I do from here?

You cannot flash an SPL from the bootloader. You need to use SSPL. The directions can be found in the HardSPL thread.

Hey man, thx for stopping by..
If I understand correctly, SSPL runs through the device which is stuck at bootloader currently... or am I hopefully wrong??
If you're at the tricolor screen and it reads serial, that should be fine.. plug in usb and it should switch to usb.. then flash a stock carrier rom through usb.. that should get you up and running and you can then run sspl and flash your spl

Keep in mind im currently on stock SPL, do u think flashing the stock ROM is ok?
That's exactly why i suggested stock ROM, stock SPL will only accept stock ROM's (it will overwrite the spl too so make sure the stock rom you are using is the right one)
dude....i hate to say this...butyou might be s.o.l. at this point. i did the same to my fuze not too long ago... tryingto flash anything to the phone just locks it up.i was lucky enough to bs my way through an att guy to get me a new one (was still under the 30 day warranty).

I had the same problem as you and could not flash any rom, Always get Invalid vendor ID.
You need the right Stock Rom to flash and in my case in the middleeast, the Stock Rom is so far only available in at HTC.
I had to take the phone to HTC Service Center and they flashed the correct Stock Rom and charged me as they did it out of warranty.

Sorry about my last post... I misread your issue.
If you flashed the stock 1.90 SPL from the HardSPL thread, then you will need to ask Olipro (or cmonex) which WWE ROM it originated from. That ROM is the ONLY one your phone will accept.
The steps in reverting SPL for warranty / return state to always do the ROM first so that you do not run into this problem. I had the same issue when I was testing a US 3G Diamond I bought from Best Buy (to become acclimated to TF3D prior to the Fuze's release). I restored the SPL first, and then couldn't get Dutty's ROM off the phone, because I could not locate a downloadable version of the WWE ROM that phone came with. [Luckily, Best Buy Mobile's employees in KOP, PA aren't too clever, and I was able to convince them that the phone came that way. ]

Hmm, then I need to know from which ROM the SPL originated and then flash it.
Thing is, some of the shipped roms available at wiki are just nbh files..
I tried flashing with the wrapper exe and the RaphaelCustomRUU.exe and still all roms I've downloaded don't seem to work.
It's a RAPH100 untied to a network.

Post in the HardSPL thread asking which ROM the SPL originated from. Once you know that, you can download the appropriate ROM from the Wiki.

SPL has nothing to do with the Invalid Vendor ID Error, It is the CID. In another word you can flash SPL 1.95 and still can not flash the AT Rom 1.95.502.5 because the CID is different.
Regards
ViperBJK's QMAT features GoldCard generator for current HTC devices that can force RUU to bypass CID check.
Do you know what is the CID of your device?

The CID is determind by the SPL.
Look up the error code posted... everything points to HardSPL. Back in my Wizard days, HardSPL did not exist, and we just did a CID unlocking. This is not the case with newer devices.
All ROMs are not created equal. Each WWE ROM checks for specific information within the SPL, and if it doesn't find what it's expecting, fail...

@NotATreoFan && Shafez,
I remember from TyTNII day when Shafez suggested extracting 3.29 and 28 SPLs from the newer shipped 6.1's for a better responsive device.
We could extract and build with htc rom tool if I remember the name of the tool correctly.
Do we have a tool as such compatible with TP? (agreeing with NotATreoFan here)
@Shafez,
Since you think it is not SPL and it is a CID issue, what can I do about it?
Sending it to SVC for repair out of warranty is an option but I'd like to leave it as my last.
Did they provide the ROM or they flashed it for you?
Were u able to make raw files out of it for future use or any1 else has it?
Thx guys and keep the help coming

Since you cannot get past the bootloader, your only option is to find the WWE ROM that matches the SPL you flashed. Even though the HTC ROM Tool "signs" the NBH file, it still won't fool the stock bootloader... if it did, we wouldn't need HardSPL.

Install the old 1.72 etc ROM through SD card and it will replace the SPL then you can put HSPL 2.08 for your desired Custom ROM. I hope this helps.?
Yup its simple go to shippedroms.com ... get ur stock rom... flash it... and ya then flash the hspl and radio
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Hmmmm, I have the 3.14 ROM with 3.03.000 SPL installed.
What I`m trying to do is Install NAND Android. But to do this I need HSPL 2.08.
Tried downloading one of the older stock roms and then attemped to flash via SD and through the .exe file directly.
From the .exe file it boots to the tri color screen and then reaches the progress bar screen. However it sticks there and the errors out with a code : 262.
Through the SD method after the phone detects the .nbh file it comes back with a "28002 : Not allow" error message.
Have tried this with varoius types of Mem cards but no luck.
Is it actually possible to downgrade a 3.03 SSPL?? I read in some forums here that it isnt.
Question : Since this isnt working, will a task 29 help in this case? From what I understand it formats the filesystem that holds the OS. By doing so, will I then be able to flash one of the older Roms so I can install HSPL 2.08?

Task 29 will not work with SPL 3.03.
You need to go to HTC's website and use your phone's serial number to download an older version of the ROM - you will only be allowed to download ROMs which are allowed for your phone. You cannot download a HTC stock ROM if your phone is restricted to a branded (phone operator's) ROM. You should be able to get a 1.66 or 1.72 or 2.08 or 2.10 ROM (dependant upon branding and country).
Put the phone into BootLoader mode, then connect to your computer and run the downloaded file.
it works!!!
download old original rom like 1.48.479.1_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship
flash it via activesync/ win mobile center(win7)
it will downgrade 3.03.0000 to spl 1.42.0000
Thanks a lot for info!

How are you trying to flash, direct from fle to phone from PC or using y split cable and goldcard? maybe to go back you need to put the ModeID file in te 1.09 folder, like you initially did in the 1.30 folder. See this post
Im flashing directly and i know the Tutorial u gave my i was already on the 1.30 NoDo Update and then i made and Downgrade to 1.09 then to 1.28 Original T-Mobile Rom.
Now i want Update again to 1.30
but if try to Flash the 1.09 Rom ( itried it with three diffrent ModelID.fig) then i get 244 Invalid Model ID
i also have this problem.
i loaded this rom onto my htc : RUU_Mozart_TMO_DE_1.28.111.03_Radio_5.52.09.16_22.24.50.09U_by_ansar
i didnt know that it has the tmobile branding within so i wanted to debrand with the 1.09.but now i always get error 244 invalid model id.isnt there any solution for this?
You have probably updated the SPL with your updates, so the first thing you'll need to do is downgrade that, and then install the ROM again. You can search in ansar posts for how to downgrade the SPL.

Just try this. If it still has an error, it is probably a big problem.
You have to install this like any other ROM and after installation don't worry about the phone not starting up. Just install RSPL/HSPL and flash any ROM you would like.
no its not working.again it stops at 1 % n then comes error 294 invalid vendor id.
its desperate

Have you tried a hard reset before trying to flash ? And have you installed RSPL/HSPL and what version of it ?
well,i made a hard reset now,but somehow after, the data was still on my phone, means phone numbers etc.so i assume the hard reset didnt work.
i also tried to install rspl/hspl.i could install rspl, however when i install hspl my pc says i installed it succesfully.but when i launch boot loader then,it shows me the spl 1.28.xxx i had before rspl and no hspl.

In order to install hspl you need to run rspl first, so if rspl doesent run you can't install hspl... You've probably flashed some really bad ROM.
The last thin that i can suggest is to try to flash some older ROM or the rom that now is in the phone and then try to flash something else... but i doubt it will work without RSPL/HSPL
like i said,i did install rspl, then right after it hspl,pc says its fine but my device shows old spl after installation.it did show the rspl in boot loader but not hspl.
well i try that but doubt it will work.thx for ur effort anyway

Yea. Hspl first,, then flash over USB.
Boot into bootloader and look to see what SPL version you have. If it is one of the below SPL versions then you can flash HSPL 2 to youe HD2.
SPL 1.42.0000
SPL 1.62.0000
SPL 1.66.0000
SPL 2.07.0000
SPL 2.08.0000
Hi, i flashed it to RUU_Leo_HTC_RUS_1.66.411.2_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship.exe and now i have "Your OS ROM isnt customized for your hardware". Forgot to mention my phone is vodafone. Help
That means you can not use that ROM on your HD2 as it did not come from the area of the world that HD2s that used that ROM were shipped to. Official ROMs are very much area or country specific. If you can find a official ROM from htc.com that is for your HD2 that says WWE in the name it will more than likely have Russian in it, you will just have to go into settings and set it to Russian. Use your serial number on the HTC site to get a list of official ROMs that are for your HD2 Look behimd your battery for your serial number.
Well, i switched on the phone and flashed it, didnt go to bootloader berfore flashing. Could that be the problem?

Naw if you had a ActiveSynce connection you are good. I suggest you always manually put your phone into bopotloader because it will save you some time and it keeps you bootloader from timing out because the RUU takes to long to start the flash for some reason. Plus it bypasses some of the checks the Ruu runs that might keep you from flashing.
Did you hspl first? If yes, did you make the noob error of choosing a x.xx.0000 instead of x.xx.hspl?
Also, you can't flash from SD card in this situation.
Region shouldn't be a problem, but in the past I have seen occasional (rare) mention that Russian is the one region that can cause issue.
Go back to working rom, use psas to get a cid for an SD card, send it me with an email address and ill make you a goldcard. (Assuming re trying hspl doesn't do it)
Thanks everybody for your help...i downloaded RUU_Leo_Vodafone_UK_1.72.161.3 file and repaired the phone. I also gave the phone back to my friend as i dont want to brick the phone.
