[How-To]Changing your font on ICS

I've seen some posts regarding how to change fonts in ICS, and I've tried some tutorials out there that didn’t work on the amaze, so here's what has worked for me, even though some apps say that bootloops will happen on ICS, try the following, after you make a backup
1. Download your ttf file(s), and put it in an accessible folder/location on either internal/external SD.
2. Go to es file, root explorer etc. and go to system/fonts
3. For all four roboto fonts, set permissions to RWX RWX RWX
4. Download font changer from market (green F with 2 gears behind the letter)
5. in font changer, tap the advanced tab, and scroll down to the roboto fonts
6. If you only have the one font, then set each roboto font to that one ttf file. If you have a font with a replacement for each type, bold, italic etc. then replace each one with its respectful font. Just find its location that you set when you installed your font on your SD.
7. Don't reboot when font changer asks you, change all your fonts first, then restart with the power button.
If all went well, your phone will restart and your new font will replace roboto. Now, the only other thing that I would add to this is that when you load a new font and if you restored font changer, I've found that when you open the app and scroll down to roboto in the advanced tab, you'll see that each one has the directory set to your new font, but it still shows roboto. So, what I've done to fix that is you have to go through the whole operation again, but change your directory for your new font. An easy way I do that is if I have my new font in my internal SD, I just put it in my external SD, so I can find it easy, but still change its location, and then just do the same as before just pick your new font in the new directory.
This has always worked for me, so hopefully it'll work for you too
Linking this in the bible thread neowww.
Thank you will try

to change fonts using the Lg font selector, this should be the same for all L9 variants
-requires root and a file explorer
-go download some .ttf font files you like but make sure the font has capital, lowercase, and all other characters
(theres plenty of free fonts just search it)
-navigate to /system/fonts/ and backup the fonts your replacing by naming them [font_name].ttf.bak
or just cut/paste them into another folder
-replace HYSerif_Regular.ttf and HYSerif_Bold.ttf or HYTravel.ttf and HYTravel_Bold.ttf to replace the fonts in the Lg font selector
-replace Clockopia.ttf to replace the clock in the status bar and LGE_Dialfont.ttf to change the Phone app's font. these two will take effect no matter what font you have selected
-set permission for new fonts to -rw-r--r-- and reboot.
-go to settings, click display, and click font type to select your new font
I'm still trying to find which font controls the Lg lockscreen clock's font so if anyone finds that one let me know
or if anyone know how to revert to stock android lockscreen, the Lg one is starting to bug me

Font Help - Installing Font Causes Bootloop

Yo!
This problem is from a phone using Android 4.1.2 JB--TouchWiz.
So I'm trying to install a new font to my phone--Roboto Condensed-Light to be exact.
I took another Flashable Font I had and renamed and replaced all the necessary fonts in the .zip file.
When I tried to flash the font, the phone went into bootloop.
Is there a certain way fonts must be in order for them to work/install correctly?
Or should I just put the fonts on the SD card and push them to the font folder one-by-one?
Thanks!

The easiest way to install font's to your device is to use a font install app such as Font Installer by JRummy. What you can do is put the font on your sdcard and then using the font installer app select the font you wish to install from your sdcard and the app will install the font for you. As always be sure to make a NANDROID backup in recovery before installing any font's or performing any MOD's just to be on the safe side.

[FONT]HTC Hand Font, different styles

I recently downloaded HTC Hand Font from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230721
But I found that this is only the original font, without the styles Bold, Italic and Bold-Italic. So I created them using FontForge and decided to share them with you. Credits go to @kylepont for the original font and for giving me permission for sharing!
For installation download Font Installer from Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.font.installer&hl=de
Be sure to select the right styles of the fonts you want to replace in Preferences -> Select Fonts to avoid booting loops! Enjoy!
Important: This is not a flashable zip, but only the needed ttf files! Keep that in mind!
There is now a flashable zip of these fonts available at a dedicated fonts thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438194
There just search for HTC Hand. It's working great!
Credits go to @gianton for making the flashable zip!

After then i went to install htchand font it gaves installing loading screen then my cell restarts..
Aftr restarts no any font chnages..
Then aftr i selexted all fonts from preference then also its not working..
Wich fonts did you selected.. and tell me what do u do (whole steps)
You need to select all the fonts which are not bold, italic or bold-italic before installing the original one. Then, for installing the other ones, select the fonts with the same styles.
