I buy a x8 before 3 days ago it is a my first android phone
I found some program on the market for sms but they don`t have message details(when the message was sent not when i receive it) like I had on my old phone..
Is there any application which provide message details?

ChompSMS and Handcent are good. Download both and see which suits you more.
I use chompSMS and its good, long pressing on the conversation list brings up lots of options. And yes, message details for individual messages are also there.

Here are the default 2.1 apps.
download the .apk and install as normal .apk.
in handcent u can`t see when message was sent only when you receive it...
can you see in chomp sms when the message was sent?

Why cant I send text messages to more than 10 recepients on my Vibrant??
I use an app called "TEXT EASY" (paid version) to usually send out mass text messages to many people and I used it flawlessly on my G1, but I cant on my Vibrant??
The app gives you a warning about 10 recepients max, but geared towards Verizon users?!? What gives??

I'd like to add that I am rooted running Obsidian V3 w/VooDoo... if that changes anything?!
I didn't actually send it out, but I composed a message to send to all of my contacts through the default messenger, might want to try that.
Yeah, I've used the default messanger (which is plenty capable in my opinion) and it worked very well.
sometimes I get duplicate texts... not sure if that is a sender issue, rom issue or messanger issue....
hmmm, i dont know then because I just tried this:
- went to contacts
- hit the "more" key > "send message" key > then chose over 10 contacts
- hit select
... then takes me to the virtual keyboard & "to" screen, but none of the contacts I've chosen show up?!
What the heck??
Mine is off so I cant test, hopefully someone else will? Also, what rom are you on?

Not long had my X10i, and so far very impressed. However, Im trying to find out how to send a text message to my favourites. I run a football prediction league, and have 13 members. On my old samsung phone, i was able to type one sms and send to my 'group' of 13 contacts.
I have sorted my favourites out, but cant send an sms to them all at once?
How do i do it?

not sure that you can send it to a full distribution list
the only way is to select one then click left button to add more contacts you have to do that each time

Download the app Handcent, and use it as your messenger service.

i think after sending first sms with all 13 contacts (manuell added recipients), you will automaticly create an entry in your sms list, with a group u looking for.
1. new message
1.1. add recipient
1.2. menu key --> add recipient
1.3. menu key --> add recipient
..
1.13 menu key --> add recipient
2. type text
3. send sms
after this you schould create a groupe entry in your sms list. now you can use this to send further sms to your football group.

Thank you all for that. How do i group my contacts in handcent?
I need to get a decent app that will allow me to send group sms messages to 70+ contacts at a time. Currently I'm using go sms pro to send them as it can use the groups i've imported via goggle contacts into the stock messaging app.
However some contacts aren't receiving my messages for some reason.
Anyone know of a good paid or free app that will allow me to get the job done properly?

Does go sms pro only send a set amount of texts in one go? If this was the case then maybe that's why alot of my contacts don't get my messages???

Handcent and install the group sms plugin... I don't know why people hate on handcent so much.. The thing works amazing with many nice features

yes, maybe some kind of code you can send to your operator/advertisement-sender which can stop the automatic messages, i know that kind of msgs sucks just find a way in google, i know different users experience that alot
You can download "SMS Popup" from the market. However you will need to manually configure it into "Privacy Mode" (or something similar). Once done, you will get a popup everytime you get a message, along with 3 options to "Open Message", "Delete" (without opening) or "Go to inbox".
I had the SMS POpup on my stock ROM but don't need it now on MIUI...

Are you sure it doesn't open the sms?
The android market page for this app reads:
NOTE: SMS Popup does mark message as "read"
so as far as the mobile carrier is concerned, the sms has been received & read, so it will still charge for those spam sms.

pls refer to my previous post - the app opens the SMS by default - but once you go to settings and enable privacy mode, it won't read the msg. A message is not marked as 'Read' as long as it's in privacy mode and you don't specifically open it. (Even the LEDs will continue blinking till u don't open the message)

SMS popup is nice, but does it show a history of all the sms, like the stock sms app on A2.1 does?
Also, to avoid duplicate notifications I've unchecked the "notifications" in the stock sms app, but it no longer shows incoming messages in the messages log. is this a bug, or is this related to sms popup "hijacking" the sms?

HELP!! I cannot delete SMS messages on my stock Messeges app or any SMS app like hangouts or handcent. I select one message to delete....usually takes a long time to do so and bam the message is still there. HELP!!
