[Q] Move apps to sd card?

I have a sony Ericsson x10 mini pro. I'm wondering if its possible to move apps to my sd card, because the phone doesn't have a big internal memory. I heard something about having to root the phone, and doing something to the sd card. Could someone guide me through that, or tell me more about it? How will that effect the apps?
Thank you x
BTW, sorry if this is in teh wrong part of the forum, i wasn't sure what section it came under
I am also trying to find out the answer to this question. All i have been able to find out through search is that one has to root the phone and there is probably just one application superone click that allows you to do that currently for X10mini/pro 2.1 version. However once one has rooted through superone click, how do you then transfer all your applications to the SD card and whether its possible or not is my question. Hoping someone answers soon so i can take the risk of rooting.
There is an app that you can get at the market to enable you to transfer apps to SD..
App2SD and Link2SD.. just search on the Market
and also search the forums for these 2 apps, there are dedicated topics for these with more detailed discussions...
I've tried both App2SD and Link2SD along with a few others... none of them install on X10mini/pro runing on v 2.1. They require some sort of partition on the SD card which i have no idea how to do.

There is no. Of videos of partition of sd card in YouTube.
I m using link2sd and I feel its better than app2sd.
.
If you use Android 1.6/2.1 then you have to use link2SD.
Use this guide for partitioning the sd card
SD Card Partitioning
Or if you have gone to the new Android 2.2/2.3 you dont need these steps, because they are integrated in the OS itself. There are some advantages running 2.2 or 2.3
Good luck
Thank you all... It worked!!!
Used link2SD and created partition on SD card as advised by Tommylee567. Transfered my apps to SD Card. Only issue i am having after the root is that Skype is giving me problems. Have to take the battery out to reset the phone and stop it from ringing continuously whenever someone calls me on skype. I didn't experience this problem before though.
Anyways atleast i got my apps transfered to SD Card.
Thanks Tommylee
I have partitioned my ad and installed link2sd. However it gives an error saying the 2nd partition not found. i have followed all the steps correctly and my mini pro is rooted. Can anyone help? Please!!!

How to use ap2sd?

Thank you so much!

[Q]Is there anything as simple for Nook Tablet as Nookie Froyo is for Nook Color?

My mom wants to dualboot from an SD card on her Nook. Since she doesn't understand anything about rooting and ROMs, she's asked me to do it. I'm certain that I can do that, but I'd really like a set of instructions. I'm looking to put CM7 on there. Any advice?
There is is one.

Ah, i don't think its such a gain for the pain. But that's me... Some people say, "AH, there's a mountain... I need to climb that".
That method is a bit more than it sounds like he needs.
@ OP, follow this video, theres a link to the xda thread in the description.
wouldn't it be easier since he wants to boot from the sd card to just have him
goto here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1481826
follow the directions for the sd version and then easeus partition master home edition to enlarge the partitions to use the entire sdcard?
that is what i have done & it works perfectly, if i want to use the nook- which is rooted- i pop the card out

Dual boot Android on NativeSD and Win6.5 on NAND??

Hey guys I'm running Tytungs ICS v2.8 Android NativeSD ROM from an EXT4 partition and want to install Win6.5 on the NAND (for better battery life) so I can effectively dual boot. Sorry if this question has been asked a thousand times before. I've searched a lot through the forums but didn't find a thread dedicated to this. There is a triple boot thread by mengfei but it is dedicated to Win7 only.
Also wanted to know whether both Win6.5 and Android would reformat the SDcard everytime they boot individually (since they are different OSs). Can I share the same FAT32 partition with both OSs without affecting the music and videos I have on it?
I currently have a 32GB Class10 Samsung SDcard with a 2GB EXT4 partition for the NativeSD ROM I mentioned above and a 27GB'ish FAT32 partition that stores all my music and data which I plan on sharing between the two OSs. (If that's possible) Any help would be appreciated.
cant be done, , when winmo is on the phone, you can only run normal sd versions of android, , i.e ones 5that run from the fat32 partition and are started by running haret.exe
wrong info, see below for a link to an excellent tutorial.

No, you can dual/triple/... boot NativeSD-Androids and WinMo 6.x
See this great guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33988958
If you want an Android-Start-App from WinMo, use my tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33174747
If you look at the pictures in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33359487 you can see, that Szczepanik has 11 Androids on the same SD-card, witch he can start from WinMo (NAND) with my tool... I've "only" 3 NativeSD-Androids and htc-WinMo 6.5 on NAND. If you want to use more NativeSD-Androids on the same SD-card, it's recommended that you extend your ext2-partition (my is 4GB)...
Try it, ...
And yes: You can share the fat32- partition with all OS (Androids and WinMo).
Cheers

ahh of course, , nativeSD is actually started from the fat32 partition, i hadn't thought about the mechanics of it. My turn to learn!

Netflix & Symbolic Link

Hello World
I need to know something
Since the last Netflix update, it's now possible to download our TV Shows, but here is the thing:
I don't have too much space in my internal sd card whereas in my external I have 64Go available (almost)
So here is the question :
Do somebody knows a way to create a symbolic link to change the location of the app data ?
Thanks a lot !

Thanks ! But I have to see if it works under lollipop. Because at the method 2 I know that the phone ask you about what do you want to do about your SD card under marshmallow
