If you like to get automatic updates or to donate something to me, i have a version for 0,50€ in the Market.

But will also update this file here, if i have a new version available.
Now also as livewallpaper:

or as qr:

I'll give it a shot. Any special way to install it?

No, just download. If Dropbox cuts the .apk you`ll have to add it manually.
Happened to some people on german forum. Install it like every other app.
Add as widget to homescreen.

Can you post a screenshot?
Thanks you.

It did drop the .apk extension. What a great widget. Thanks for making it small and unobtrusive!

It's just a tiny number with a % symbol. You can choose black or white text. It's smaller than the numbers in the status bar but not by much.

I did something similar, but as a notification instead of a widget. If anyone is interested: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1464041/MotoCharge.apk
The images are taken from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=724778

Guys you built such wonderful apps and never oublished it. Both of them are beautiful. Thanks again

How does it work? I mean, is the % real? Or does it estimate it, like Battery Left?
Edit: okay, I'll answer myself, you're using /sys/class/power_supply/battery/charge_counter. I didn't know about its existence! Great work! I wonder if we could modify the original Motorola APK to read that instead of /sys/class/power_supply/battery/capacity, so we don't need any extra software, hmm...
Edit 2: I was curious and searched. There seem to be two places where "capacity" is used. They are in /xbin/ssmgrd and /bin/charge_only_mode, both binaries. Would it be possible to hex-edit the "capacity" string to "charge_counter"?
Edit 3: whoops, somebody already thought of this. I'll take the discussion there so I don't hijack your thread

Don't autoupdate, right? I loaded at 24%, looked the file and was 24. Some tests later, I looked the file again and was 22. It still at 24.
Thanks for it, it's a first step

This is nice. This is a bit small for me though. I'd love it if you could make text color, opacity and size configurable as well as provide an option to not show the % sign. Thanks.

Great work as I said before. But here is some feedback to keep you chewing
I have no complaints regarding the widget that shows the percentage on home screen, but the other widget in the notification bar looks really good but works less. It gets stuck at times and we have to launch it again to check if its doing fine. After a long standby, it shows "FULL" even though the battery is in very low state. We need to launch the app from notification bar to get it showing the real % again.
Thats it for now.

Actually i experiment the same issue with Circle Battery widget. However i just realized i hadn't excluded it from the task killer (didn't use any with froyo on desire but seems like i need one with 2.1). If you're using a task killer, maybe this is worth checking.

Great wgt, thanks.

Thank you for this nice widget.
Although my phone says it's fully charged, the widget says it's only 94%. I wonder what motorola is doing???
Also, your widget goes to 101% when fully charged. I don't know if it's a phone's bug or just your wigdet.
Could you also add some features when press the widget? Like show the battery use?

Can you add some kind of battery charging monitor? I mean, when the phone is docked and charging you can't see the battery level unless you reach the phone and turn the screen on. Can you use the notification led such as when charging it blinks red and then steady green once fully charged?

1. I know, thats motorola related. The moto batterydisplay shows full when you reach 95% and switchs to full. My widget shows all the time the real value.
So it`s no bug in my widget, it`s motorola. Perhaps it`s to protect the battery in case of overcharge ?!
2. It`s planned to add this feature, but at the moment i`m ill. So you have to wait.

[Alpha 2] Ice Cream Sandwich Theme Chooser theme

I have been working on creating a theme for CyanogenMod 7's theme chooser that is based off of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the Ice Cream Sandwich user interface. So far, I have created and release two public alpha versions. I am aware of the bug with the charging animation when battery percentage is selected. I will upload screenshots of the theme shortly. Feel free to ask any questions or report bugs.
Based off of sonnysekhon's ICS theme, but optimized more for qHD resolution screens, moreover the Atrix, but it will work with any HDPI device.

Public Alpha 1
Here's how it's turned out so far. Tell me any issues you have on it in the comments, not through PM's, so others can see. As for a launcher, I am working on porting the actual ICS launcher, but for now use this: http://syndicateapps.com/main/ICS_Launcher.html
I will update the original post when I can get enough testers, and work out all the issues, so that I may make a public beta or final release. Remember, if you download it, comment, don't just freeload...
Enjoy,

Not quite sure what either of you mean... @hahmoode, thank you, but do you mean the status bar? if so, I'm afraid I can't do that, mostly because it's not part of the stock Ice Cream Sandwich framework.
@comeundon3, what do you mean? Like, the icon is missing, or what?
Thank you for your responses, and if you can clarify your comments, I will attempt to fix said bugs ASAP.
nice work! a few bugs so far:
in hspa signal, the data type indicator shows a blue H in the upper right and then will change to a white, smaller H in the lower right when data transfer is active. also, no data up/down arrows. finally, the battery charging animation for if you are showing percentage (uses the slim blue bar) has white borders for one of the animation frames, and the white borders are there when phone is unplugged.

Great job! Can't wait to see the final result!
Thanks!
I just got an email, and noticed that my email icon was flashing and changing color (from grey to red repeatedly) up in the notifications bar. Thought that was pretty cool..
I like it so far! I picked it apart with ninjamorph and borrowed a few things The only things that bothered me were the google search bar (the colored letters as opposed to white) and the dark blue at the top of menus right above the overscroll. Other than that great theme and I can't wait til it's done.
Development of this will be cancelled due to the release of this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1310925 as well as other complications in my life.

[APP] Honey Hide Widget V3.0!(hides system bar)

Hey guys I forgot who had requested a widget to show/hide the system bar In Honey Comb, but here it is! I had a couple people test it before I released it to the market. This is to be used by people who use the Hardware Buttons in HoneyComb. Enjoy
March 18, 2012
Version 3.0 has been released! It includes a smaller widget (1×1) that was requested by users as well as the ability to restore the status bar when the screen turns off. The latter feature allows the widget to be used by more devices that do not have hardware keys.
Along with version 3.0 I have also released a donate version. This version is exactly the same as the free version but costs one dollar for those who feel generous!
You can download it on the android market place by clicking Here for free and Here for donate
Feb 13, 2012
Version 2.0 brings along a new layout as well as more reliable code!

And just incase someone trys this without hardware buttons and opens an app while the bar is hidden the command you can run to get your bar back is:
Code:
am startservice -n com.android.systemui/.SystemUIService
If you feel like donating all money will be put towards my school loans

Thanks Victor, works very well and I really like the looks of the screen without the bar
Edit: can the icon be themed?
This is a lot better than honeybar which gets in the way. Thanks!
Unfortunately, htc scribe apps still don't like the removed bar. Good for watching video and reading pdfs though.
EDIT: I have a small request. Can you please make the buttons or hitboxes a little bigger? Sometimes it takes a frustratingly large amount of touches to register a show or hide.
Thank you. Great app.

Actually, in that line, I would simply suggest a one-cell toggle (on or off). It was a somewhat curious decision to make two buttons instead of an on/off toggle.

Battery, font and 15 Toggle notifications for OnlyOne

TazOneBlue for OnlyOne HYFR B4 - UCLE2 Rom.
This is based on the 15 toggle mod done by:
wanam & lidroid, fonuza and mohan_kr in the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727 section, be sure to hits their thanks buttons as well as spanking SystemErrorOne thanks button for bringing this to OnlyOne.
I claim no credit for this mod or the additions to it other than what I have changed visually. I did this for the love of blue and due to not having time to get my blue theme done.
Disclaimer:
Use at your own risk! I claim no responsibility for any damage to your phone, marraige, pets and\or your mental state!
I have added a choco cookie font to the package along with making the toggles high light in shades of blue. There are Carbon blue smilies added to the framework for texting and best of all, a Shiny Blue Version M, White numbers, Battery for the notification area!

I don't think that UOT works with ICS, but I could be wrong...?
Except for the lack of battery increments, I like the mod
Eric
UOT kitchen works for the battery mods on ICS and boot animations, but just them. I did use them for the batteries but UOT doesn't work with systemUI.apks from ICS, you have to manually do it and the first flash didn't display the batteries correctly with all 200+ icons but I know why now. I'm at school right now, will fix this this afternoon. Thanks for the feedback guys, it helps.

Updated the file in the OP, all percentages for the battery icons are now displayed correctly. Had a little brain fade last night I guess, easy fix and much better functionality now.
Here's the link for those already here:
Tazone-blue.zip updated
The OP is updated as well as stated earlier.
Enjoy!
The percentages in the updated version don't appear to match the system percentages, so maybe something went wrong with the fix? (screenshot 1)
Edit: in fact, the % on the new icon hasn't changed since I rebooted, while the system text % is decreasing at a normal rate...? (screenshot 2)
Edit2: what is the filename supposed to be for the updated version? The file at the link in the OP doesn't have a version number (v2 ?), so maybe it's still pointing to the old one?
Just flashed update. The battery percentage issue is still there

Hmm, working on mine bot that means nothing more than I got some files mixed up. I'll get on this in the morning, I still have a lab to finsh and studying for a test this week and finals next week.
My brain is a little fried right now I think it's and .xml issues as I've run into this before on certain frameworks and systemUI's but that was back in the Cognition and Perception days.

Working on it now, just got done with my digital comm test. My main issues is that I can't decompile the systemUI.apk on my computer, it errors out with the same error log as UOT kitchen when they try to decompile it. There are 2 .xmls that deal with how the battery is displayed but they are scrambled if you just try to extract them with 7zip, WinRAR, etc. Now that I have a little time I'll be pm ing some people to get some Q&A.
Temp work around
Ok guys and gals, this is a temporary work around for now. I removed the percentages from the icons that do display, you just need to enable battery percentages under the display menu in system settings. This is just temporary until I can get the .xmls edited.

The OP will reflect this too.

SystemUi Clock Mod + 1% Battery

Ok....here are some some additional mods to the systemui. They include the mods Nottach already implemented along with the centering of the clock and I made it a little smaller then the original. Also I have included 3 additional ui's that have either 100%, 75%, 50% transparency on the statusbar. Please remember to copy your original systemui.apk and odex file to a .bak as a way to return back to the original system files and remember to change your permissions on the new systemui....
Remember MOD at your own risk...If you follow the directions given in all the other posts you will not have any issues...
All of these files have the centered clock..
I fixed the transparency on the 50 percent which was actually set to 100 on the circle battery mods...
100 Percent Status Bar
75 Percent Status Bar
50 Percent Status Bar
Centered Clock Only
All percents with Regular size clock
Small Centered Clock and Circle Battery All Transparency
Big Centered Clock and Circle Battery All Transparency
Please remember that these are not flashable....just a regular zip file of the apk..
Thanks to KryptosXLayer2 for his xxhdpi battery..http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41154701

1) will this work on tmobile gs4
2) what icon theme are you using
100% Transparent works great on my device. i'm using your mod on the OTA'd version of the ATT GS4.
Great work. One thing I noticed is that with the 100% transparency file I still see the outline of the notification bar on my home screens. It looks like how I would think 75% may look.
Anyway, great work none the less. Was just curious if anyone else had it the same?
Edit: Works flawlessly on the lock screen

Great work. One thing I noticed is that with the 100% transparency file I still see the outline of the notification bar on my home screens. It looks like how I would think 75% may look.
Anyway, great work none the less. Was just curious if anyone else had it the same?
Edit: Works flawlessly on the lock screen

Are you using a custom launcher? If so, make sure you have "show shadows on top and bottom of screen" OFF.
That did the trick for me.

How do we get rid of the ATT icon for 4G/4GLTE. I miss 3G/H+/4G (what it should be!)

Search for the build.prop thread changing that will give you the icons you want

Cant you just report to a mod instead of waiting for one to see your post?

Can someone explain how to replace the SystemUI file? This is my first Android phone and I'm still trying to get a handle on all the modding. Been an iPhone user since the original and I have to admit, there is a bit of a learning curve.
Thanks.

1. You'll need a file manager that will give you access to the device's system/app folder.
2. Once you have access, rename the current SystemUI.apk to something like SystemUI.bak.
3. To inject your replacement SystemUI.apk, use adb.exe and enter the following command: adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app. I do this via my PC while using a USB connection.
I understand you may or may not have some "pieces." Post your needs and we'll proceed from there.

Many of you who have a Windows Mobile past like me, might have instantly recognized the thin colorful line(s) in the above image. And for the new Android generation, introducing Energy Bar - a pulsating Battery indicator!
Energy Bar puts a thin line on top of your Status Bar whose length corresponds to your device's current Battery level.
Got a full charge? The line will cover the whole width of your screen.
Battery depleting? So will the length of Energy Bar.
After several iterations (thank you for the feedback, early testers), the App is now feature packed:
Energy Bar can be configured from a width of 1 pixel to cover the entire status bar
Energy Bar puts almost 0% load on CPU, as it wakes up only to reflect any change in battery level
Energy Bar's origin can be configured as left/center/right
Energy Bar can hide on fullscreen content (apps, videos, images, games etc)
Energy Bar can be configured to change colors automatically depending on the live battery level
Energy Bar could have a mono color/multiple color segments/gradient
You can literally assign any color in the world for your favorite configuration
Energy Bar as a cool pulsating animation whenever a power source is plugged into your device
There is something about visual over numbers that keeps you and your device's battery level in sync with just a glance. You may find it intuitive/effective/stylish way to read the battery level, let me know what you think

Charging animation demo (style - bounce), thanks @sl33pyK!

Hey this is cool, I was considering making a similar app around the camera cutout... might be something you consider adding to this project! "Energy ring"..
Doesn't really translate onto the screenshot well tho:
Looks good. I did notice that the charging animation restarts when opening/closing the Energy Bar app. Did not appear to restart animations in other apps though.
It adds a corner to the top left of the screen that is visible in screenshots but doesn't appear anywhere else.
Screenshot attached for others to see.
Hi, great app for my s10... Thanks
Hi, Good Afternoon, I would like to install your App, but why is it asking for so much permissions. It says it wants to read my messages & other personal items. If this is an App to show how much power I have left, why does it need all those permissions?

Could always see what disabling those permissions does to the app.

I'm afraid to install it. I will try and see if I can get in touch with the developer. To ask why? I thought he monitored this thread. Thanks for answering.

I'm still in school learning about development or I could be of more assistance. But I would assume the dev does check on this thread from time to time... Hopefully...
I love it
Possible to have a static battery bar around the camera lens? Id love that..

This is a very good idea. I wish I knew how to create apps
