After install some subtitute application for default app that was installed by Sony Ericcson on Xperia X8, like dialer, sms manager and phone book manager. Now I am looking for a subtitution Radio Application for default Experia X8.
Xperia X8 was bundled with a FM Radio, and have an ugly application to use the Radio. so I want to change the default radio application. Is there some body have an experience about that ?
Is there any FM Radio application for subtitute the default FM Radio app on Xperia X8 ?

Yes there are a couple of substitutes,can be found in applanet repository,i don't know if they work tough,because i can't test(custom rom),give it a try and post feedback please

I Can't find any FM radio APK wich is work on X8
you can use go dialer use as dialer app subtiton, can be downloaded from market.
same problems, currently use cyanogen rom and radio still buggy..

Of course it will not work.. the thing is:
1º - you're trying to use and apps developed for android 2.1 in 2.3.. will not work xD
2º - the radio.apk depends of SE Stock Rom framework, and to works, needs to be modifyed like devs did to 2.2..
correct me if I'm wrong.. xD

true mate, needs modding to work with custom roms so sorry stuck with current radio until fixed by dev's.

sorry if this has been asked before, I searched but didnt find anything.
Is there any way to get the xperia arc gallery working on the mini? there are a few apps that work from the arc system (like the launcher) but others wont, like the gallery (parse error).
I know is the same stock android gallery (that i already have) but the icon matches better with the set of xperia icons and the buttons inside are a bit different and i like it better.
oh, and also maybe the music play/pause widget from the arc, if possible.

thanks, though it starts installing and says "application not installed".

If you check logcat or install using adb, u wl knw the exact reason why it dsnt install
But trust me its the same file version incase u checked it using astro file manager
Since I signed it using a diff signature, installer wld have verified the signature and hence wdnt hv installed

Open root explorer goto this gallery.apk 's location.
Move it from there to /system/app/
Now
Long press on the file and select permissions option.
On d dialoge box that appears check all boxes and click ok
Now try installing
It shld parse package coz it dd for me.

Well i have my x10 with a custom rom,and installed timescape from the arc dump;everything's working good thanks to a tutorial on how to install it. My question is that when i had the stock timescape and published something on Facebook trough it;it said published trough sonyericsson xperia. Now with this new timescape it says published trough semc beta or something. My question is where do i have to edit to have the same as before;i mean published trough SonyEricsson and the SE logo like in the eclair stock rom. In the build prop? Or in the Meta inf of the apk? If so which apk should i edit. Timescape or Facebook. Plugin? Thanks for your time

i've tries that yesterday but i could not find the line to be moddified,maybe istalling 2.1 timescape???? just like the arc but with the eclair apk and settings.
Can some one pull the files please?
Browser settings
open browser, settings, select user agent. that is the only way I know, but they are pre selected phone id's but from what I've heard, when you manually change device id, it could lead to trouble. asthetics are something for the future, I'd be happy with a working timescape
If you had enough time you could decompile the app and find the string that says beta and simply replace it. Ive had a bit of app coding experience and it seems pretty simple. Like i said though decompiling such a big app and finding where the string is used and how many times can be a lot of work.
If you get me a link i can have a look but no promises

And! The Vignette App has the biggest Problem:
No Shutter sound
Settings will not be saved! Every time i restart i must change all! settings first (5MP, Superfine etc...)
All the non Original Apps have the same mistake.
I can't save the files ind the standart DCIM folder ;(
Now i search after the original Cam App because this is...smal....fast...make good pics....PERFECT

this is a system app!!!!!!!!!!!
you have to copy it first via filemanager with root in the R/W mode
in the /system/app folder before you could install it

I downloaded the file directly with my X10 and "open"...
Is that the problem, why the album and camera always make an error?

I think that this app won't work with this rom without some modifications on that because this app was designed for SE framework and installing it on this rom may cause FC.
In the version 3.4, owain94 make a kind of adaptation on this app to work on that rom but it isn't working 100% good, with some random crashes.
I think this app is realy not functional...i installed it agaim with copy in the system/app folder but the same...
The album is very slow and not functional...

i can't make films with the standart app from CM3.6...
To use the stock camera app you will also need some files from the se framework.
Turn on usb debugging on the phone
Download adb for your pc
Attach phone
Open a cmd on pc
Goto adb folder
Type
Adb logcat > camera.log
Start camera app from se
Try a few things with it
Post camera.log here

Propably the files would bee in framework folder. Search something with semc launcher in file name. I'm also sure that framework-res patch is required.

It has already been done some times ago, you have to modify the framework etc to make it work, you can go trough the history of the forum to find rom under froyo which have a version of the 1.6 through 2.1 stock launcher.
To have a good launcher "4 corners" style, I suggest you to take a look at this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1309287
You will find a version which may work on Eclair+

So you'll have to use the stock rom and launcher, which is in version 2.1.
If you have a rom with a superior number version (2.2 or 2.3), you'll have to use the one in the thread. And it's up to you to only put one widget per page ;-) I've one and only page, with a clock and a widget for a memory manager, that's all ;-)
Do whatever you want but you don't have so many solutions :-\
