The only way I've gotten mms to work on T-Mobile is by leaving the proxy and port sections blank.

Not sure if this really matters, but in the stock GB ROM for Canada Telus HTC Amaze 4G, there were 3 different APN's set up for different types. Here's screenshots since I've re-added them in Android Revolution ROM after installing it (from camera reference so I know all is correct).
They were in this order too, with APN Type * being selected. With only that type added, I had data and text messaging, but MMS pictures would not send until I added the second one in. Don't think I'll ever use DUN with it, but I added it just in case it's used for something I'm unaware of... and yes that one is "ISP.telus.com" not just SP like the other two.
* Doh I can't yet post pictures - I can PM you the URL's to my Photobucket account if you like?
* I've spaced out the h t t p : // because I can't post links, and it was denying me access to the actual text
* also in the first APN don't confused type * with Not set.. it actually is an asterisk

I don't know what the deal is but ever since I got my Amaze the old T-Mobile US APN does not work, it worked just fine on my G2. As soon as I select it I can't get crap for a data signal, then I switch back to the T-Mobile data APN and all is well.
I think it may be because of the new SIM card I had to get for the Amaze, but I could be wrong.
Anyone knows the APN for Movistar ?
I have tried 2 different carriers and still not sending MMS only receiving..
Anyone having issues with mms stock Rom
Thanks for the Wind APNs!

can't send receive calls/txt but mobile net works?

Hi, i got a locked on three phone, i used one of the apps on the market to unlock it and debranded from from three with latest open europe update.
When i put in my T-mobile (UK) sim it boot fine, not unlock code needed, and i can use for mobile internet, but cannot make or receive calls or txt?
I phoned T-mobile and they tell me the phone is not blocked?
any ideas?
cheers
Follow the rules post in Q&A| please .
Your APN mobile network settings correct for TMobile's network ??? In other words have you set it up for TMobile network .
What is open European update ????

Apologies for wrong forum, mod please move.
Update is from
sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&t=1&o=1&m=GT-I9100&r=1#regiona
I9100OXAKL1
When i go to networks i choose automatically select preferred network, this connects me to T-Mobile. Checking the APn i see T-Mobile with green light. Selecting this and checking the details, all looks good when compared to settings when sim is my HTC Desire HD!
Though the layout of settings and detail types are not the same on both phones, the setup details are.
cheers

Hi, ok tried two different uk stock roms from link
I9100XWKE2_I9100XXKDJ_I9100XEUKD1
This worked the same as previous, can register on network and get mobile internet, but no txt calls.
I9100XWKE1_I9100XXKDJ_I9100XEUKD1
Tried this as KE2 reported to have some issues with orange. T-Moble, Orange share networks.
Same KE2, can get mobile net no calls/txt
Later version
GT-I9100_XEU_I9100XWKI4_I9100XEUKH2_I9100XXKI1
This one registers on network, but no mobile internet or txt/calls.
Really don't know why as phone is not blocked by network, or so they tell me. Checked imei number on checking sites and it come up clean too!
any ideas?
many thanks
hi, i am thinking this maybe a hardware fault as checkmend give it full clean bill of health.

I see that it is set to GSM/CDMA auto PRL, (My desire was set to WCDMA) even if i change this it always reverts when i enter the screen again. In wireless, networks it stays at GSM/WCDMA automode
Now when in *#*#4636#*#* screen i also see one thing that may give clue to issue with output from
