where are all the Einherjar Themes???? - Vibrant Themes and Apps

Hi everyone. Was just getting bored and ready to flash something new, but im very happy with trigger 1.5. I am also a die hard axura and nero fan. While I was running axura or nero, there were always themes and cool little "bonus packages" with like flying transistions, battery mods, themes etc. Why no Team Einherjar Rom love?!? Is it because the Einherjar teams roms are all pretty awesomely themed? Any ways, just thought I'd throw that out there, and see if any themers are up to the challenge. In fact, for us flash-oholics, these themes and add-ons give us all something to check out and mess around with while devs are eagerly chipping away at their next masterpiece Anyone else interested in seeing some cool add-ons or themes for some Einherjar Team roms please chime in, or if you like to make themes let us know please if this is something you might want, or would be willing to do. Happy Flashing!

+1 Would love for some themers to get their hands on the Einherjer Roms...

Agreed! I'm on Trigger 1.5 and would love to see some additional themes... running matte black, which I really like.

I'm almost afraid to flash anything over Flagship V3. I've never been so happy. Then Again... A new flavor + no issues would be nice. Really digging tonic's ports lately.
I want professional, sharp lines, easily readable, color, easy on the eyes.

At this point, without source, all Roms by all devs have the same base, using same voodoo kernel. Besides fewer or lesser apps being included and some system tweaks,(minor, lets be honest) they're all running the same. Changing modems or kernels are the only thing that will alter battery life/performance. So at the time being, if you want a theme thats for Axura, flash it and theme it. If you're changing the whole look anyway, what do you think you're maintaining by staying on trigger? They're all KA7 roms with the same kernels.

Check out Tonicacids themes he recently made for Bionix. Sex Panther and the blue on he released last night look amazing on Trigger 1.5. Even though he said that he only tested on bionix v5 I've been brave enough to try them both and they do work and are awesome. The blue one he uploaded last night is a stunner. I too have been flashing all of Einherjar rom and hope they kick out some fresh themes also. I'm sure they will.

The themes do seem to be interchangeable . I'm on Trigger 1.5 running the Androdena theme, very sick looking, it removes the clock and its flashable too. Almost all themes,Axura & Bionix & even Nero5 work on M.Flagship v4 beta. FYI I have had my phone caught in a bootloop a couple of times trying things out on Trigger 1.5. The Team Whiskey themes seem to work better on Trigger 1.5, Axura themes do work if there the 2.2.9.0. You can grab most right out of the Vibrant Theme threads.
Give it to cotten, he'll flash anything....

What ROM is everybody using

Hey everybody, I just order a Fascinate today and was interested in what ROM you guys/girls prefer to use. Im switching from a droid 2, and previously a droid 1, which had a great ROM community. I think its fantastic that there are so many Galaxy S phones but I think it is unfortunate that Roms are not applicable across models.
In addition to selecting what rom you are using it would be great to say what works great and what is still buggy. Please let me know if I forgot anything.

Welcome to the community!
Personally, I've been using jt1134's Super Clean with AOSP. Bubby323's Magic with AOSP is looking very promising. I tested version 0.2 for a couple days. and I think 0.3 will be a winner.
We're just getting started here in month 2 of the Fascinate's release, and there has already been some spectacular progress, mainly in the kernel department. There are some familiar names from the D1 community at work over here, and once FroYo drops for this phone, things should REALLY take off! (Seriously, who wants to work on a version of the OS that is already out of date, and will be replaced any minute now?)
I am loving that Blue Breeze!
Actually thought there would be more out there by now. Or at least some themes. I am sure, in time!

Well, I just finished an Android app that would have taken most devs about a half an hour. It took me a week, and I now have bald spots.
So I guess time is relative!
stock rom and just remove what you want
Add option for stock lol.
None of the above? I ran the update on my phone, reapplied root and continued on from there.

Me too! I know Best Buy can be shady, but God bless 'em for giving me this awesome phone for free. Well, almost, had to add a line to get it, haha.
Super Clean ROM with the puzzle lock screen running Dirk's D02_SV1200 kernel with lagfix turned on. So fast, and so much faster than my Eris.

so how are you liking it compared to your droid 2?
using Zinc V1.0 right now. So far i'm liking it, but there's not a whole lot of difference in anything right now. I've tried jt's clean, blue breeze, aosp magic and Zinc, and they're pretty much all variations on a theme. not that there's anything wrong with that, i'm simply saying whatever you pick you can't go wrong, and it's easy to change anything you don't like about any one of them.

Best rom?

Right now I have narrowed to following on 2 factors
style (looks etc...)
and
ease of installation
Which do you think is the best
Trigger, Bi-Winning, or Juiced Extreme?
im running juiced extreme and im in love with it, but hte best rom is the one that suits u best, if u have the time, give all of them a whirl
You really ought to try one of the Simply roms. They look great and there very smooth and fast. My second choice after that would be Trigger.
None if those, try the one in my sig. Best gps, smoothest ever, good looks and best quadrant scores. Plus the multi-language support.
In short, best rom ever.

I'd try a bunch of them tbh. See which one pleases your eyes. That's what I did, ended up with either bionix or Bi-winning.. TW bionix wouldn't install and Crysis theme won't work with the original bionix so chose Bi-Winning for the widgets, looks, and speed...just gotta wait for more themes now.
I would suggest Bionix-V. I'm currently using a different ROM though.

As you read this is the time I m gonna flash my vibrant, but not the first time flashing (I ve flashed my g tab many times)
So I was wondering if you guys could give some roms suggestions
What I want in a rom I'd fast,stable,nice UI,and less issues
So please make your suggestion
Thanks

In my opinion Trigger is quite stable and gives no issue for me
I think you make a mistake when you look for others input! Your best bet it to look through the ROM posts, bugs and other inclusions are listed! Most 2.2.1 roms are low to few if not any bugs. 2.3 have theirs clearly listed! Most have screenshots so you can look before you try, and worst comes to worst some use Launcher pro and others you can replace with it.
I would personally recommend sticking to releases from either of these Teams at first as they are more wide spread and any help needed might be found easier. Although if u can i'd try out some from other Devs/hobbyists as well
- BionixV1.3.1 - is [TW] Team Whiskeys' baby http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=925548
- Trigger 3.0.0 - is [EDT] Einherjar Development Teams' baby http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1041447
both are 2.2 firmware and probably the most stable and most developed for in terms of MODs and themes.
- Bionix FROST 2.2.1 - is [TW] Team Whiskeys' baby http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=966688
- Bi-Winning - is [EDT] Einherjar Development Teams' baby http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1016652
both are 2.2.1 firmware and from the two leading development teams for our Samsung Vibrant T959.
My personal favorite is Malice by Dan_Brutal[EDT] but alas it has been pulled from XDA(only for now, hopefully) and your gonna have to hop on over to their forums if you wanna give it a try. Good luck!
It looks like I come down to 2 choices bionic and trigger
So I m gonna try both and see which one I like better

Sweet bro! You should be happy with either and the theme options with both are off the wall. It seems like everyone and their brother is porting themes for bionix LOL! its friggin great! Good luck! and Welcome to the Vibrant community! Hope you fall in love with this phone at least half as much as i have. I would try some other ROMs and such from some other devs and dev teams as well after awhile. Its seriously next to impossible to brick this phone unless you try hard.

this is true for me also.
Bi-winning has a really nice interface, is fast and smooth also so that should be a pick.
I've been really happy with Trigger and Overstock 2.4.1
but try a few out.....I really am looking forward to Dan's new Malice....I was running the Beta until Trigger 3.0.0 cam out....mad props to EDT!!!!

What's the best ROM out right now???

I'm currently using the latest Sombionix Rom and I want to check out some others. Can u guys point me in the right direction please... Thank u!!!

I started with Bionix but I just recently flashed Trigger. Trigger is pretty rad.
Same here. Ran several versions of Bionix, got bit by the flashing bug and switched to Trigger. Been running the Overstock kernel for a while but am about to try out Bali.
Let me answer your question with a question:
Which make of car is the best?
If this thread stays serious long enough you will find, like most "Which is the best (insert any tangible object here)?" threads, every ROM will get a few hits.
/sarcasm off
On a serious note I have gone between Eugene's ROMs, Sombionix's ROMs and a few of EDT's ROMs. They all have their perks and for some they all have their short comings. If you want the custom ROM feel with a relatively painless installation, go with the one of the above. If you want something a little more custom go with MiUi or CM7 or a few of the other projects.
I personally use Trigger 2.9.4 with OverStock 2.x and enjoy it quite a lot. In the past I've enjoyed Eugene's MacNut series, nearly all of Som's 2.1 and 2.2 ROMs and EDT's Flagship and Trigger.
tl;dr
Pick one yourself and see how it goes, restoring from a backup isn't all that difficult.

The devs in this forum are so amazing, and their ROMs of such quality, that you owe it to yourself to try them all to find out which you like the most.
well since its already been said like 5 times, I'm just going to agree that I put on trigger 3 rom a few weeks ago and have been running overstock kernel for a while before that. but the 2 together. un-freaking believably awesome.

Which gingerbread ROM is best?

Wondering which gingerbread or miui is the best as far as stability and features? I have been using ef3.6 for some time with no issues but don't want to get left behind if all the new development is going to gingerbread roms. Please anyone let me know which if any of these would be the best to update to.
My goal is not to start any feuds over which rom is better, just to get some educated info so that all functionality works and is stable and battery not draining etc.
thx
just realized this is probably in wrong forum but not sure how to move. soooooo sorry. will try and figure out.
CM7 is a good one to start of with: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116424
Posting in the correct section might help....
He admitted that he made a mistake which makes him better than 99% of posters on here.
As for which rom is best...its very subjective. Cm7 is a good balance between vanilla speed and addons and tweaks. Miui has a really nice ui overhaul and customizations. Om(f)gb are fast pure android goodness but might have a bit more broken.
You can't really go wrong with any of them and what you like best is inherently subjective. So give them all a try I'd sayn.
And if you are happy with ef, there's no need to jump ship right now. Newer might be objectively better but you might prefer to stick with what works. All of the aosp Roms have minor glitches so you could always wait a couple weeks and reevaluate.
