Hey! I just updated my phone to latest build by SE.
I know some must not be interested. But for all those who want it....it's here!
The firmware is xRecovery enabled, so if you dont like it, you can always go back to your previous Backed-Up ROM!
Sorry for being so late! I have a school life too!
UPDATE:
Some new people in here might face some problems on how to update the device.
The simplest solution is here!
1. Root your phone. If you haven't, here's how to.
2. Install xRecovery.
3. Download the Firmware and extract it. Place the folder in /sdcard/xrecovery/backup.
(If you haven't created it, then create it! Don't be a noob! )
IMPORTANT: Put the 4 files in a folder(name it as you wish), it should not be put in any subfolders, and then the folder must be kept at /sdcard/xrecovery/backup
4. Go to Backup and Restore in xRecovery Menu.
5. Go to Restore.
6. You will see the folder name in there.
7. Just select it and enjoy restoring!

After all manipulations with firmaware, my phone at all doesn't want to be flashed through SEUS which always writes that is installed last software without possibility of its reinstallation. I dont know what to do...

Kernel number remained same in all the updates but there might be subtle changes(like ant+ support) to the drivers

I don't know what changes in this new firmware. I yet haven't seen visible changes. As soon as something new I will see at once I will write.

So, I installed the latest DT kernel from SE in my X10 using this trick (Thanks Bin4ry!!!).
I am currently on stock SE ROM, 2.0.A.0.504, and I noticed that dual touch was not working on every app, but only on some third-party apps.
So, I did some research and found out how to enable it in every app that supports it!
It is very easy!
FIRST FLASH THE LATEST KERNEL, AS DESCRIBED HERE!
And then...
[ROOT REQUIRED]
Step 1 (Optional, according to arkedk, thanks for pointing out! However, I did it on my phone, it doesn't cause any trouble and I haven't personally tested this method without it)
Using Root Explorer, navigate to /system, press the Mount R/W button, find build.prop, long press on it and select "Open in Text Editor".
After the last entry, add the following lines:
ro.product.multi_touch_enabled=true
ro.product.max_num_touch=2

Press Menu, then Save and Exit.
Delete the build.pro.bak that was created (or move it to your sd card, if you want to keep a backup)
Step 2
Download this file (rapidshare mirror) and, using Root Explorer, copy it to /etc/permissions. Then, long press on it, select Permissions and make sure that these options are checked: the whole first column and the first from the second.

The Mediascape app does not support it, unfortunately.
Maybe we can push the newest mediascape.apk from the Domoco ROM.

The UXP update is going to bring us the new Mediascape and Timescape apps. It was initially scheduled for November, but as the OS update (2.1 update) was pushed back, it was also pushed to "within Q1"...

I installed MiUI 06 an hour ago. Didn't do anything. Next thing after first boot, went into xRecovery and installed your file for MiUI 2.3.3.

so now am finish my test n here some new profs:
it is working fine for me on baseband 49, trip miui 1.0.4. i use dolphine browser hd as my default browser and this fix has fixed the unconnected letter issues.

if you use DoomLords kernel u should be able to root via flashtool or SOC as it is an insecure kernel. i think....

I'd wait for a new Kernal based on the new firmware. Also if you unselect "wipe user data" you should keep your data. I did but I lost the root from my phone.
Just make sure you backup first

I was able to update official using SEUS. Only lost my Facebook-settings due to the enhanced Facebook in Xperia features (which I can't use because of a relock bootloader...)

i have already updated my phone to 2.3.4 with flashtool (without wiping the data)
and everything works
also updating via SEUS don't work with unlocked bl....
but thnx anyway!
After many time trying to find here is the Japanese Xperia Play (SO-01D) Docomo Branded in .ftf format ready to flash using Flashtool.
Tested by me in a 800i device without any problem (i recommend the use of Titanium Backup to "clean" the Rom because have many useless Japanese Apps.)

In Antutu i get the best score of roms tested (ICS++, ICS Beta, Stock, CM9 etc..), i can install loco roco without any problem, i'm using this rom arround 2 hours, i'm testing some stuff, like battery etc...

Strange enough, when I try to load the firmware into the latest flashtool 0.8.0.0 it doesnt show the list in wich you can see the parts it will flash. And then when i click flash it seems to cancel it.
EDIT: also on the previous version of flashtool I get the same thing (0.7.1.0)
If I back to stock, probably I will use this ROM as base.

It's possible now that the ROM is in the hands of XDA. Patience is the key.
Has anyone flashed this and noticed significant improvement over .62?

It shows the parts as normal in mine. I think I'm on the latest version.
Maybe a bad download, will try again with an other mirror

Not a bad download, problem is with mine too. but here's how I did it.
Use 7Zip to extract kernel.sin and system.sin.
then use flashtool to flash "system.sin" to phone.
i'm using DoomKernel V14 and works ok.

yeah the ftf is corrupted, I allready fixed, I'm uploading for you guys
Also, will this already work with DooMkernel v14? or is it like a completely different badeband from .42/.58/.62
