Hi,
None ROM will sim lock the phone.
You can upgrade the Radio with 1.2 URR and come back to intiial 1.x BRR
Regards, ansar.

ansar this software is not working in my hc surround, i got with the demo mode and flashed this rom but nothing changes, after a few minutes it goes back to demo mode.
i had a hd7 and it was on demo mode i flashed one of your roms and is fine now, why is not working in my surround?

Hi,
See my reply in branded rom thread.
Regards, ansar.

I successfully flashed my htc surround with a cingulare rom of yours, the branded one. Am I able to flash your unbranded rom? and as far as radio goes, i dont get exactly how i am spose to pick which radio.
and would it still be sim-locked, or does debranding it remove the ATT sim locking

I do not understand ... Since I realize that I can install the rom? I obviously do not want to change the 3G bands (850 to AT & T).
That dirferencias there between them?
What languages do they bring? to choose after flashed ...

PERFECT
dolike this
hard reset
before the at&t shows
take the battery out
put battery back in and turn on in bootloader mode
flash cingular rom
done
no more demo mode
flashin new software will not change the 3g bands
and will not lock your cell

languages screen that includes the rom will you install?
Could be fixed?
1-Open Regional and Language Options by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then clicking Regional and Language Options.
2-Click the Keyboards and Languages tab.
Thanks

Hi,
You can flash the radio with the 1.2 ROM in #1 post.
Also you can return to the one you have now with the 1.x ROM.
No, ROM flashing does not sim lock a phone and do not unlock it either.
To sim unlock your phone you need an unlock code that could be provided by your operator.

Hi,
[I got error 226 on one laptop and it gets stuck on 98% on other]
[the official ROM gets stuck at 9%]
At 9% or 11% and at 98% of flashing there is usually a delay and it gives the impression that is stopped, but it is not.
In no case you must disconnect the usb cable from phone but must let the flashing operation to complete.
I hope you did not already make a hardware flashing damage to the phone.
Try again to flash the full branded version and let it to complete.
Use a laptop with Vista or 7.
Sometimes it helps to remove the battery for some minutes, replace it and enter bootloader.
Regards, ansar.

bro every time, when it get stuck the rom update utility shows error . The phone automatically restarts and get back to the bootloader mode. I understand what do u wanted to say, i personally have flash numerous apple, android and windows phones, this is the first time whenever ROM update utility shows error and the phone restarts to origonal bootloader state. Iam stuck. Cursing myself, my phone , a new one it was shutdown automatically after few configuration steps, so i decided to flash as i looked liked a software issue. But now iam stuck at bootloader and we cannot replace this phone since i have bought it off contract and shipped it to pakistan where i live, so no warranty claims

Hi,
Since you have a 502 ROM, try to flash the Cingular ROM more than one times in series.
This means after flashing Error and from bootloader try again Cingular.
It may be need it more than twice.

[Q] I Can't find The Suitable Region for my HD2 Manila Verion for ROM UPGRADE

I have a HD2 phone with these software specs out of the box:
Manila Version ( 2.5.192xxx ),
ROM Verion (1.43.405 xxx) WWE (70124)
Radio Ver ( 2.04 xxx)
I have been searching for a suitable ROM in htc official site to Upgrade my ROM, but no matter how much I tried, I only get this:
"This software is not suitable for your phone"
I checked my IMEI in https://www.numberingplans.com/?page=analysis&sub=imeinr and my phone turned out to be originated from Europe. But I get the same sentence when I tried Europe countries in htc official website.
Can someone kindly shed a light on this?
Thanks fellas
P.S
TBH, I don't see any similarity between my phone OS interface and that of people who have hd 2 Manila version ( from youtube ). Isn't it strange?

You can use the GoldCard technique. (I know it works, but don't have experience with it)
Wow very original (initial ROM)....
Looks like you have an UK ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9105826&postcount=1. So you could try the UK HTC Site.
Have you checked if you have an Operator logo at startup? If so, go to the Operators website, maybe the posted the ROM over there.
You must also check your SPL at bootup and report it over here.
HSPL your HD2 then it doesn't matter WHERE your phone is from. As long as its not a t-mobile phone which has more RAM/ROM than normal you can flash any HD2 rom you want...

Sorry for SPL you have to enter BootLoader (press and hold volume-down when booting the device), but don't bother, cause if I read one of your prev posts, you don't have HSLP installed.
You could also contact HTC Support, maybe they can help you finding your upgrade. Cause you have an ancient ROM on your HD2. I believe for all HD2 devices (even branded) there has to be at least an 1.66... or 1.72... ROM available.
Btw. You don't have an Operator logo somewhere at startup, it's all HTC logo's???

I forgot to mention that I finally found a ROM upgrade for my phone from htc TAIWAN website, downloaded and installed it. Apparently my phone origin is Taiwan. And now the language of my phone became Taiwanese. The question is that how my TAIWANESE phone had English language on it if it was not HSPL'ed? ( Actually I didn't check the Bootloader BEFORE upgrading my phone, but I believe if my phone had been HSPL'ed, the word HSPL would be seen in bootloader even AFTER Rom upgrading, right?
Is it possible that a Taiwanese phone has English language on it out of factory?

No, it's all HTC.
Read ALL the previous replies. Told OPTUS that I could not get the Win6.5 ROM upgrade from HTC, launched a week ago. They told me to give them the IMEI (above the serial number).
The operator then told me that I needed to download from the South African HTC site, since that's where my ex-Telstra phone came from. But that site seems off-line at this moment.

new way to brick Mozart

So I installed DFT HSPL RSPL WP7F2 - version 2)
So I installed DFT HSPL/RPSL (WP7F2 - version 2) in order to install [DFT Freedom ROM] Mango 7720 MOZART Custom ROM and this ran fine. But I really wanted to [ROM][Official]RUU_Mozart_S_HTC_Europe_4.06.401.00_5.69.09_RELEAS E.exe .
I read on page 10 of that thread:

have you tried flash RSPL/HSPL again ? then flash rom
unbricked
Thanks R3PUBL1K for you suggestion. Could have been a good idea.
In the meantime I redownloaded Ansar's NoDo Orange UK ROM. It was the original attempt to flash this ROM that had started my problems as it failed with a message that the ROM was corrupt. I tried to reflash this but again got an error message at only 4% loaded, but then to my suprise the phone booted into Phone 7 like ti should. However, I have no idea what ROM is installed now except that it is OS 7.0.7003.0
More research required before I flash the next ROM I think.
Hi
You can repair it with JTag. A Friend from me in germany do this.
Go to google and write: GSM TechNiX
you can send it to him, and he make your mozart unbricket..

I can only recommend the service. After my problem (as described in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1286524) I sent my phone to GSM TechNiX. They repaired it and sent it back at amazing speed. I could install the Mango Update (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18024790&posted=1#post18024790) without any problem.
Phone rescued using Goldcard
I have managed to repair my Mozart using a Goldcard - see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=875991&page=6. I bought a pre-configured Goldcard from Rebel XTC and the USB Y-cable for HD7. I was able to flash the nbh file from the RUU_Mozart_S_HTC_Europe_5.01.401.04_5.71.09.02a_22 .51.50_RELEASE. I now have the 5.1SPL, OS 7.10.7720.68, firmware 2250.21.50104.401, radio 571.09.02a_22.51.50.21U.
I am happy with this ROM and will stick to it unless there is something compelling in a custom ROM.

did you try to flash back older version of Rom using Goldcard and Y cable? For ex: Currently is 5.01, flash back 4.06 or the older.
No, I did consider whether to flash to an official Nodo ROM then let Zune update me to the latest ROM, but I was just eager to get a fully working ROM again so flashed straight to the latest official Europe ROM with SPL5.1. I'd be reluctant to try anything else either as I have the phone set up and working now and don't want to risk jeopardising it.

Rolling back OS version

Hi all!!
My friend has a HTC Mozart that is not behaving well at all!!
Ever since the Mango update, it has had SERIOUS problems with the screen not responding etc and its driving him insane!
I have the phone with me now and I can also confirm that its freaking annoying haha
I know there have been reports of other Mozart's with strange responding screens etc.
Has anyone found an easy way to fix it other than returning it, as this just isn't an option for us as it was purchased second hand a while ago.
Hell he would even be happy with just rolling the version back to NoDo as it was working perfectly fine then!
Its running...
OS version: 7.10.7740.16
FW Version: 2250.21.51101.401
Hardware Revision: 0004
Radio Software: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Radio Hardware: A.102.0.D4

You are using latest Bootloader version. This version will not allow you to flash any ROM. Using Y-cable have fix my phone. Now, I can install custom ROM. :good:

I have a developer model. Can't update it.

Just bought second hand HTC Radar. Sseller sold it, because he couldn't update it, because of error 80180048.
He said he thinks the phone is developer model and it may need a firmware....and goood luck!
I can't find how to crab a screenshot on Windows phone, but there is several additional items in the menus:
TestSuite
zBig Boss Settings
zCompass
zGesture Bester
zSensorView
zSart KITL
Is there any standard (original) firmware for radar? The phone is unlocked like every HTC phone sold here in Finland. Is it wise to contact HTC, if they could help, or can I get trouble of doing that?
edit: I'm completely newbie, but I found this:
Model: HTC Radar C110e
Software : WIndows 7.5
OS Version: 8107.WM7_Main_Ship (mojobld).20111201-2014
Firmware revision number: 1600.2200.10807.401

Yeah, I tried Hard reset. I also found that link, when trying to find help with that error number. In that help site there is a warning: DO NOT use the Windows Phone Support Tool if your phone's operating system (OS) version is 7.0.7390.0 or higher.
My phone says it has 7.5.
Do someone know how to recognise if this phone actually is a developer version?
Or maybe it has just a custom firmware?
Is there a way to recognize a custom firmware?

Many thanks. As I told I'm pretty new with this stuff, but at least thats looks promising.
By the way, I found out my phone is a developer model for sure.
I found a topic in here when doing a search using the OS version (which looks weird).
I found this:
Radar - Strange build - mojobld ?
I see..
So I presume you can skip DFT HSPL and go straight to flashing some ROM whether is stock or not.
Sent from my Radar C110e using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
In that other thread, a person with developer phone had tried to flash the phone with other firmwares without success. I would really like to get advices from the people here, before doing anything stupid.
I think i made a mistake saying that htc phones in finland are unlocked. What i mean is they are not locked (or branded) by carrier (like Vodafone, orange etc).
i think you could easily unlock the bootloader (DFT HSPL) and flash a fresh ROM, but look for other opinions just to be sure

[Q] not able to downgrade to 5.1xxx htc mozart...please help

hi everyone, i got my handset a few days back as i exchanged with one of my friends. the tricky part is that its not locked to any network and i am not able to get what should i do to downgrade in order to flash custom rom. what i got from goin to all the threads is that u need to downgrade before u do rspl/hspl. for downgrading i need to get a proper rom. i tried perfect rom by ansar, and a few others too..
this is my first post to any of the forums..... so please dont disappoint me and try to help me out thanks.......

radio hardware version A.102.0.D4
bootloader version 5.12.2250.5(139188)
chip soc version 2.2.5.0
it would be great if we exclude the way in which a Y cable is needed. if that s the only way out then let me know which rom to use with this handset????
thanks in advance...
hi, the only way is y-cable and goldcard. this is a good tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1597837
you need a asian rom . the tutorial provides a link for a rom collection. there is only one asian rom.
thanks for the link....

Will try this as soon as possible. One more thing i wanted to ask. I ve seen some place how to change the internal memory card of mozart. If by any chance we able to replace it by gold card, will that be able to downgrade? I know it sounds crazy but still is there a chance
By the way
happy new year to u n all........
Try flashing the SLSPL rom by ansar and then any rom 1.xx
ansar´s slspl rom is a europe rom so don´t work. is the phone operator branded ?
SLSPL doesn't work on my French Orange Mozart. I had to flash an Orange rom vers 1.XX to downgrade the SPL with the Y-cable solution.
