Not sure how many of you would be old enough to remember this game, its something i fell in love with about the same time I ever heard a computer talk properly (hit spacebar on C64 while playing ghostbusters anyone? )
So my question being has anyone seen a version remade for android?
I'm sure I'm just remembering this with slightly rose tinted glasses but what the heck , i loved the game.
a few others would be nice too: monty mole , manic miner, knightlore etc.
I've considered emulators but they never seem to have keys/joypad that work as well as games written specifically for android if you know what i mean,
thanks in advance for any help

Cool sounds

Hi developes.
Have somebody time and skill to make some cool verbal notification sounds?
For example: when (dis)connected to computer, when (dis)connected to charger.
Or when car profile (de)activates. cool or what?
Definition of Cool ???

I don't know about him but I'm guessing something right out of the sci-fi movies. You know either the cool Android'ish hot chick, sexy woman voice/kick-ass, CIA covert operative male voice that sounds a little like it's synthesized.
That's my biggest beef with most of those talking apps (like StartTalking - which is really cool in many ways but fails here) - they all seem to be leaning towards more Stephen Hawking than anything else cool. Seeing that disk space isn't really much of an issue any more, I wish someone would make a database of really cool sounding voices and use that as a bank to draw from or even allow you to train it into this voice (like what that annoying Talking Tom cat thing does but only convert it into something cooler sounding) instead of this lousy Microsoft Sam & Microsoft Mary crap
I mean how cool would it be if your battery was low & was about to switch off and the phone went, in a hot sexy synthesized Tron'esque voice, "System...shutting down, system...shuting down"
Yeah sure it's geeky but all I'm saying is when he have the MS Mary crap anyway, why not someone go the full mile. Gimme the future already or at least let's fake it!
- Not sure if any of that is even possible but fingers crossed someone does that soon. Hopefully some sci-fi fan / Android developers get their hands on it soon!
:end rant: apologies

Sc-Fi Yuck for kids and spotty adolescents . Why not the whole 1812 Overture .
The point i was making is the one persons cool is another persons would not be seen dead with that .

[Q] Devs, noobs and normal users, Why should someone choose an android phone? pls read

Hey guys and some girls,
I'm doing research for a school project regarding usability. the idea was to figure out what makes a certain product so great. being a proud owner of a adroid device I thought, why would someone choose android. so what im doing now is a survey to see why people choose Android.
I'm calling out to every person that reads this (from noob to dev) this gives me a great idea why people should choose android. every answer is valuable to me and wil help me very much. this is my final project for my graduation. so please help me out here.
Thank you for your time.
Hi, coming from a student game programmer background, I've also studied about usability during school. From my experience and knowledge, what makes a product so great is that it is easy to pick up (learn) and easy to use. For example, Apple products. With just one or two clicks you get the response that you want.
Here's another example: Angry birds. It's "Great" because it's easy to learn how to play it and the game is also easy to play (can be played without remembering stuffs like numbers in a bank game).

HELP WANTED!!!! Devs, coders, grapic artist and all!

Hello, I'm posting this tread because I have searched every inch of the market/internet for a good First person-Role playing game in real time. I know about "Deadly dungeons", don't get me wrong it's a great game but its not in real time and not free roaming.
So, see that it might take awhile for someone to make said game, I've decided to make one myself. Only one problem. I don't know any code, and I suck at graphics. I'll be doing plots, quest, main quest, and music. So I'm looking for a team who would like to help me put this together. It will be a paid for app will a free trial so in the end, if it is any good there will be money. No guarantees thought. But seeing as it will be the first of it's kind, there is a good chance.
Imagine a game like "The Elder Scrolls" or like the iOS game "Necromancer's Rising". That is what I'm looking for. So if your interested in seeing this come to life, PM me and I'll give you my email ASAP.
Please, I know many people are waiting for such a game, and there is money in it IF it is completed and turns out well, but that all depends on how hard your willing to work. Think of how many "These guys just made my day for making this game" there will be. I personally am a HUGE Elder Scrolls fan, I mean I got every game. From Arena to Skyrim. That is what starting my love for, as I call them FPRTRPG games.
Hope to be hearing from you guys!
-Andrew
P.S If you are not interested, or not a developer or what now, please spreed the word, if you know someone who might want to help, tell them about this.

Games where you have to wait in real time?

I cant figure out what they're called category-wise, but basically games where you perform an action/quest, and it takes an amount of real life hours for it to complete. Im sure anyone knows what I mean...
But im looking for a new one to keep me entertained. I had one a few years back where you unlocked new parts of a map that was covered by fog. Obviously you had to pay some sort of virtual currency to unlock it, but I dont remember its name.
What can you all suggest? I have already tried Simpsons Tapped Out and Adventure Town.
Hi there!
Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but you could take a look at Lifeline in the Play Store. It's an interactive text game in which actions take real life amounts of time.
