[SOLVED]can not change APN's mmc&mnc - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Android General

create an apn, defaut mmc=310, mnc=995, if I change this values, apn can not be saved success, and log output:
E/TelephonyProvider( 4581): Failed setting numeric '310995' to the current operator

This is because libhtcgeneric-ril.so code has line:
asprintf(&imsi, "310995000000000"); //Fake opID

To change the operator ID:
1. Click on the Address menu item then click on Goto.
2. In the window that is displayed, ensure decimal and absolute are selected, type 74 into the entry field then click OK. This will position you at the operator string location.
3. Using either character entry on the right or hex entry on the left, enter the operator string device should be (or what you want it to be Smile ). Note that any non-used character positions should be edited to contain null (0x00) which can only be entered in the left hand side of the window.
To change the language ID:
1. Again, click on the Address menu item then click on Goto.
2. In the window that is displayed, ensure decimal and absolute are selected, type 94 into the entry field then click OK. This will position you at the language string location.
3. Using either character entry on the right or hex entry on the left, enter the language string your device should be. Again, any non-used character positions should be edited to contain null (0x00) which can only be entered in the left hand side of the window.

because i don't know what i write in the LanguageID and operator ID
and finally i don't understand the difference from OS version and Extended ROM Version ..

Change Wifi Mac address (Nand builds)

In order to set your desired wifi mac address take the following steps.
You will need a file explorer with root access and a text editor.
Navigate through your file explorer to the following path :
/etc and find a file called callibration
Open callibration with your text editor.
In the first line you will see macaddr = xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
(xx = numbers), there you can change the digits in case you need a fixed mac address. In my case i just changed the last 2 digits, i have not test if it works by changing all digits of mac address.
In order to refresh the new mac address you have to make a reboot, after that enable wifi and check in system settings, your desired mac will appears.

APN disapears when changing MCC

I try to add the settings for orange.fr:
Code:
APN : orange or orange.fr
Username : orange
Password : orange
MCC : 208
MNC : 01
APN Type : default
but when I press "save", it just doesn't save.
I found it disappears when I add the MCC value, very strange.
I looked at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1632975 but that didn't seem to work for me.
Any ideas?
TIA

[Q] Sprint EVO 3D flashed to Page Plus. Everything works but MMS.

Ok. This is a weird one for me. I bought a EVO 3D off of Ebay with a bad ESN. I didn't care about the ESN since I was going to flash it over to Page Plus anyways. So, I flashed it and got everything running for it...except MMS. Talk, Text, & 3G works fine. I tried creating a default APN settings using giffgaffAPN since I couldn't get to the APN settings by going to Menu-Settings-Mobile Networks (option wasn't there). I put in what I found online as the default settings for the new APN. The APN didn't show up in the list but I didn't see the old APN either so I took it for granted that all was right in the world. I tried downloading a pic I'd received earlier via MMS and still nothing. I was still able to surf on 3G still. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!
OS: Android 4.03
Dial ##3282# on your dialer and tap edit mode then enter your msl / spc. Then go to advanced. At the bottom you will have the settings option.
On some roms you can directly change mms setting from the message app>settings
EDIT : I see you edited it yourself.

Thanks for the help! I'm the right place but not all of the options that I need or in the settings. I need to put the following in but username and password or missing. I went ahead and put in all of the info that was available but the MMS still wouldn't work.
Verizon APN settings Android:
Name : Verizon
APN : Verizon or vzwinternet
Proxy : null
Port : null
Username : Mobile [email protected]
Password: vzw
Server :
MMSC : http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy : null
MMS Port : null
MCC : 310
MNC : 012
Authentication type : Not Set
APN : Not Set
Note: I just found username under data profile but no place to enter in password, MCC, or MNC.

I think I just figured out a step that I needed to put in. There's a field that says MMS Server URL that's just inside of the advanced menu that's a header like MMSC Setting. I put the MMSC URL into that field and I received those MMS messages that were previously just download. I need to try sending MMS messages now but unfortunately, last night, my SD card failed. I lost 16 gigs of pics (about 3k pics) and movies...including pics of the first time I held my son. Fortunately, most of those are on FB.
Thanks again for all of your help. Hopefully, when I get the new SD card in from IceMonkey.com ( Here's the one I'm getting and there's no referral link so I shouldn't get dinged for this ) and get some of the pics redownloaded, I can test out the send function on MMS.

[Q] Help with tethering

I have been attempting to access my tethering functionality on my rooted S3 (SGH-I747) for a few days now without success. I tried this process because it sounded promising but unfortunately I am unable to access settings.db using the SQLite Editor app.
When I click on the file the following error appears: An error occurred while opening the database. unable to open database file (code 14):, while compiling: SELECT * FROM sqlite_master WHERE type in('table','view') ORDER BY name.
I was thinking I might not be properly rooted but I verified my root status with the root checking apps. They confirm I'm rooted.
I'm running the stock Samsung ROM.
My APN settings are (I use Straight Talk as a provider):
NAME STRAIGHT_TALK
APN tfdata
MMSC http://mms-tf.net
MMS PROXY mms3.tracfone.com
MMS PORT 80
MMS_APN tfdata
MCC 310
MNC 410
Authentication type Not set
APN type Not set
APN protocol IPv4
APN roaming protocol IPv4
Turn APN on/off APN turned on
Bearer unspecified
Mobile virtual network operator none
I've tried other apps such as WiFi Tether for root users and WiFi Tether Router with no luck.
This is the thread I was following: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2544487
Does anyone have any idea of why I can't access settings.db?
