DONE - problem is after all the Fritzbox! -.-
I have a problem with my Folio every time i try to connect to my Router (Fritz 6360 Cable) the router restarts.
It seems like there is no prob with the router, cause my Notebook as well as my Nokia N8 are connected via Wlan the whole day.
But reproducible just as the folio reports "receiving IP-Adress" the router restarts!
Anybody with the same prob or a solution for this? Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Every time i try to connect with my router, I can use internet for a few minutes or less and then i just stops working. It stills says it is connected but i wont receive any data? And i only got that problem with my router, any other router works just fine. My router is the Netgear WNR2000.
Anyone got an idea on how to solve this?

on Friday I bought a new Folio 100. Unfortunately it seems that the Wi-Fi doesn't work: the tablet connects itself only after I turn off and on my wireless routing.
If I disconnect the tablet (or the connection is lost) and then I try to connect it again, I have no chances The Wi-Fi connection cannot be established. Same if I turn on the Folio and try to connect it without a previous off-on of the router.
I have a WEP 64 Bit encryption. I tried to change it to WPA-TSK but the problem remain the same. I tried to connect to my Galaxy S using WPS2-PSK no way. The folio connects itself only after a restart of the router or with not protected nets.
I tried to install the Dexter mod 1.3a, with no results. Now I have the original FW 2.2.5.0053 back on (and the problem remains).
There is something I do wrong or I can still try or the tablet is definitely defective?
Please help me!

I had a similar problem: my WiFi network was seen as out of range by the tablet WiFi manager. And whenever I put the Folio in sleep mode, it lost the connection.
So, I changed the WiFi policy (in WiFi advanced settings: press menu button when on the WiFi configuration page, and choose advanced settings) to never turn off.
The tablet still has some difficulties to catch the network at startup (usually, I have to wait like 2 minutes), but now it keeps it.

thanks a lot for your advice, I've already tried this setting, but in my bedroom I've a bad signal and from time to time the connection get lost... and you can understand that it is really annoying to stand uphalf asleep to reset the modem. )
Anyway for the moment I've solved the problem exchanging my Belkin modem with a Zyxel of a friend of mine. The connection process is still quite slow, but at least it works without requiring a router restart.

mine still not working...keeps on connecting/disconnecting......giving up soon...btw am using foliomod 1.3...even before when am using the stock rom..its so freaking hard to connect to my belkin router...only a few times tht i successfully get connected...help please!!!!

I had to exchange my router, the only way I was able to conect with belkin was restarting it.
I've also tried with static IP adress and changing the encoding type (WEP, WAP-TSK etc.) but the results was always the same. Even with the new modem the process isn't that smooth!

the thing is if am connecting the folio to wifi connections in cafes/shops/eateries,no problem...fast and painless.

I seem to be having some problems with my tab gray 16 gb wifi version.
When i started it for the first time it could not find my wifi, i went ahead with setup and when i was finished i looked into wifi settings and it had found my router.
A few days went by and all of a sudden i was connected to the router but had no internet connection, I checked my computer which was connected by wire and it had internet connection. I then tried to switch wifi on and off on the tab and since then i cannot find my router.
I've tried rebooting both router and tab and it has not resolved the problem. Anyone else experiencing these issues? Any solutions? I thank you all in advance.
btw the router is a D-link dir-655

Unplug the router and plug it back in. I have experience this issue as well. My desktop was able to connect to the Internet. But my laptop won't connect through wireless. Not even my wireless printer. I unplugged it and plugged it back in, and it works fine. Sometimes, it's other way round.

I have the same router and I don't have any problems connecting. I did have many problems with my OG Droid phone connecting though, until I switched from WEP to WPA encryption.
Can you see the router on your Tab, but it just won't connect? Or is it not visible at all?
I have tried unplugging the router leaving it unplugged for 30 sexonds or so and then plugging it back in, no luck. And no I cant even see the router, I see lots of routers but not mine, I can connect to my phone using mobile access point but just not my router
Does your router use a hidden SSID?

This might sound funny, but do you have anything else connected to the WiFi? My router sometimes does this same exact thing and it happens to do with the traffic going through it. It happens alot when I'm using my laptop and my Xbox 360 and I turn off my Xbox for some reason. The way that I've always found that fixes it, is by rebooting all my connected devices along with rebooting my router. It's as if their is a conflict with the connections that make it not work.
No hidden SSID and at the moment nothing is connected to my router wireless
edit: Solution! logged in to my router switch of wi-fi, turned it back on, enabled wpa2 security and there it was right on my tab, welcome back old friend
I had the same problem, but solved it by changing locale setting on my router from Czech Republic (where I live) to USA.
figure out how many devices are connected to your router. My router can hold only five devices at a time. Also change the channel in your router settings.

I´ve got problems with the wifi on my folio. I can connect to my Router (D´link- DIR635) but i cant surf in the internet. It loads one site very slow and then its over. Reconnect doesn´t solve this. This probem is with all the roms for folio. What i dont understand is, my neighbour has the D´link - DIR615 and it works???? Any solution for this problem? Thanks
I think that problem is in your router. Try setting up it.
My Router is on default settings and the firewal is deactivated. No portforwarding or anything else.
Did you have that problem with stock rom?

Strange...u have other devices that use the same wi-fi network? I have a folio with FolioMod 1.4 installed and yes, it take a long time to obtain a network connection to the router, but not tu surf internet...can u try with another router?
the problem is 100% the router, other routers are no problem. Maybe there are some settings in the configuration of the router to get this thing working. Maybe someone of you knows something about that
I have two routers, identical, Folio doesnt like the SSID on one , but its fine with letters, weird but true !
Try changing the router's channel to 11. Sometimes fixes Folio issues.

You can try power off your device, after turn off batterry & try again.
Hi guys, I'm having some problems with the wifi, when connecting on my router wifi it disconnects frequently, if I go into the wlan page it does like switching off and on repeatedly for a couple of times, then some other times it connects but says disabled line. If I connect it to my phone hotspot it doesn't give any problem. I tried to reset my router, it fixes the problem for a while but sooner or later it starts again. Can you please help me out? Thank you!
