Hi,
I'm using a MDA II from T-Mobile and in calendar view, notes, and so on, here is as background image a background of t-mobile (grey lines from left to right).
I think this is an image, but I don't find any option to turn it off. I searched the registry and \windows forlder but I don't find nothing.
Does anyone have an idea how to turn it of and to have just a white background?

The lines on my xda 2 are blue in the background of notes etc, I cant find anywhere to adjust this to white/clear background so maybe somebody can suggest a registry hack.
Somewhere in this Forum I asked if the colours are changeable and sumone replied, you can change them to an colour u like there is actually 4 bars 2 on the left and 2 on the right and with the link sum1 dropped me U can easily use the Themebuilder2003 thing to edit wat colours u want although let me stress u have to know your way around computers a bit to give u a fighting chance in hell as to know what the Hex or summat colour codes are I have macromedia fireworks (A paintin program) that'll tell me the codes, I can now build Themes Better quailty background pics, Start menu text can now be changed, and those bars PLUS the TAP and hold dots.... I'm working with a nexus build and I'm becoming more and more curious about making it truly mine! The ROM itself runs better than anything else that I've tried, but it isn't quite as brilliant and colorful as I'd like it to be.
I've given myself a denim notification bar with a painting for my status bar background, and a custom status bar close on.
So, I've poked around the file system a bit and get the basic idea of the structure.
I've extracted the MMS.apk and have made a few minor changes to a couple notification colors. But what I'm really looking to do is add colored text bubbles and black out the back ground.
Yes, I'm aware that I can just D/L one of the SMS apps from the market, but I want to have control over the final product. (I'm a big fan of textures, not just colors)
I'm attempting to read the android manifesto with little success as I don't have a strong background in programming. I've d/led a XML Text editor but I continue to get an error that ends in "hexadecimal value 0x03, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 1." I get that error on every XML file I try to open.
So I turned to the almighty google, but had little success in understanding the language that most people were speaking in.
I'm willing to learn and go the distance, but a little direction would be awesome!

I'm using ICS final no tweaks by Jusada and i've noticed on some drop down menu's when using the internet that the text is very pale grey on a white background and i can barely read it. Is there a fix for this please?
Example:
The Tripadvisor app, when trying to select a date or city the pop up menu looks blank but when you look very closely you can see the text it's almost white on a white background. Other menus on the internet appear this way too.

That's because of the theme. Change it or update it and the problem will be gone ;D

i rooted my note and installed saurom custom rom, and i love it. there's just one problem...
i'm trying to find out how to change the background of my notification area with this rom. i love the rom, but can't read news flashes when it's black text on the dark background of the notification area.
i've read the forums looking for answers, and tried using ninjamorph to modify the png's in the framework-res, but they didn't seem to take with this rom. after rebooting the phone, it still looks the same.
any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
hey everyone...
figured out how to edit the notification area.
used ninjamorph to edit system/framework/framework-res.apk
once this was opened, i found the two images i needed to edit in res/drawable-xhdpi
the entries were:
status_bar_item_app_background_normal.9.png
status_bar_item_background_normal.9.png
long press on each of these and choose edit. pick a high contrast color so that white and black text can be easily read. (i chose a bright blue)

Started a new thread with more colour options, the op was getting too crowded
So I'm sharing a theme I made for anyone else that wants a lightweight theme.
Main changes from stock:
-iOS inspired dialer.
-Dark switches, system settings & quick settings icons.
-Changed brightness & volume sliders.
-Google sans font
-Darker text in some areas & and some system dialogue box backgrounds.
Only tested on my Mate 20 Pro, but will try to fix any errors if any are found.
Just remove ".zip" to use the theme

*Added green (grn), orange (org) & red accent colours, plus Gboard gradient backgrounds.
If anyone want to use a different dialer colour you can unzip the theme and swap com.android.contacts.
***Known bug, the subject text on Gmail notification is dark grey, this only happens when the qs & notification are black, still trying to fix this***

When you share post on Instagram, that's when the share sheet comes. N yes , make that name highlighted as you have shown in your screen shot. Also another bug I found is that when an SMS comes in Google messages the mark as read and reply option is invisible and not readable

Ok, I'll take a look later this evening but I don't use Instagram or Google messages so might need you to test. Also probably do a separate new theme since I prefer the darker text, any other requests for the new theme?

No thanks, darker text is fine, no need to change , if u can make or keep it as stock contact dark theme would be nice. Just hopefully if u can make the text readable for Google messages WhatsApp etc... Would be great. Love the pitch black shades

Had some time today, theme updated v1.4, fixed dark notification text, made text in contacts a few shades lighter & share sheet in Instagram darker.
Let me know if you see anything else, i dont use many stock apps so might have missed something.

Suggestion, possible to make the shade of grey more darker of the share sheet in Instagram.
I'll keep u up to date on any bugs if found... Love the changes u made into contact, texts looks much better
Possible to make the subject of email in notification readable in Gmail if not white... Some other color to read the subject text when u receive email.
Another bug found on the default weather app... Weird black bar at the top, even after restarting phone. Also a suggestion can u not make the font color bold in settings but more like as stock, less highlighted... Better for the eyes

Ok, fixed the weather app (v1.5), but haven't figured out which string is causing the dark text in Gmail notification, when I get a bit more time I'll take another look.

Hi, is it possible to make the Instagram share sheet this shade of dark, u can use marydues pitch black theme for reference. It will look really cool n cohesive with the rest of theme.
Btw, wanted to ask why is the contact not fully pitch black, it's a shade lighter than the bottom part and search box.
Also a suggestion as u can in the first screenshot of the file manager, is it possible to make the font color of the general theme like this in terms of boldness, like the main title n subtitle of this shade of white.

Yeah, I was rushing and left out the incall UI it's fixed now, also fixed the expanding notification (v1.6).
I've just seen your post about the file manager and contacts, both are intentional but I'll take a look tomorrow.
