* How do we edit the current SenseUI Lockscreen? When I say edit--I mean change the look of the slide-down graphics.

I wasn't tryin to be rude or sarcastic..all I said was that there is a lot of references about it on xda..no need to create an extra post about it..and other versions could be semi-compatible..I'm sure the framework would need changes in the resolution

Semi-compatible only gets you to a certain point, only leaving you slightly unsure where to go next--unless you edit coding all the time.

As far as I know yes..to theme anything it needs to be deodexed..I could be wrong though

You would think it would be there but its not. Its actually located in com.htc.resources.apk (system/framework).

If you want the vanilla slide to unlock like the aosp roms, just rename the .apk to .bak (htclockscreen.bak)
That will get you the stock vanilla lock screen which is hiding under the sense UI.

you do lose that ability sadly
You could install the vanilla desk clock. I'll post it up here a little later if you wanna try it out, it should be in the market also..... I also have re-mapped sense clocks that will take you to the vanilla alarm instead of the sense alarm when tapped.

I just was messing with it, so here is a copy.
There are also copies with the Gallery button linking to the Sense gallery. This might actually be it....

should work on any rooted htc phone. remember that sense is also a rom made by HTC, so the stock android launcher is still there, just not being used. so if you disable the sense lock screen, the stock Android takes over.

This is a Metamorph for a transparent lockscreen that was made by request for a friend. This is intended for a deodexed stock mytouch4G ROM (2.2/2.2.1). This will modify com.htc.resources.apk. Most likely this will crash your system when applied. If not, reboot to see changes. Ive been seeing an error when using metamorph to extract, it does not seem to find the theme file. All files extract and you will be able to apply by selecting "Pick existing theme".
*NOTE* This works when applied using the safari theme (thanks for the feedback). I'll look into modifying other themes... eventually. Requests will be considered.

Hmm I'm using your rom and it worked fine for me.. I extracted it on the computer, put it on my SD in the androidthemes folder, and then went to pick existing theme, apply all.

Same here. Running Ice but can't get it to stick. Good idea tho. I like it.
EDIT: Sent .zip to sdcard. Let Metamorph unzip. Still FC's my messengers while applying then nothing.
If you remove the htclockscreen.apk and .odex from your /system you'll get a transparent lockscreen... Albiet with the stock froyo lock but I prefer it anyway

So after trying this, the text on the lock screen doesn't line up correctly. All 3 lines of text, the date, the time & T-mobile all overlap. Is this supposed to be used with any of the lock screen themes or a specific one? Anything else need to be changed to get it to align correctly?

I'm assuming theres no way to make a fully or semi-transparent wallpaper?
I know most icons are png's, which support transparency, but I'm not sure (and highly doubt) if a transparent png file would retain transparency after being set to be the wallpaper? If I had to guess I would think the file is converted in some way before it is actually applied...
I wonder if there is a way to bypass this and allow for transparencies in the wallpaper?
Though this works, it doesn't look so good since its transparent and the text overlays whatever is on the first screen. It would be nice if the lockscreen background could be honored by the stock froyo lock. Or at the very least, a solid color or black background.

Transparent images won't set correctly, from what I've read about other sense ROMs, you'd have to hexedit the file, changing the color to transparent... don't know if it would even work. There are lockscreen replacements, like lock bot, possibly some others. Wish there where better options... the ROM in general lacks the basics for most things I want to do... which is why I currently run the desire HD port by gr8gorilla. The ROM has been ported to a lot of phones, so there is quite a bit of mods and themes available.
I'm curious what features. Are you referring to stock? Does the desire port have working drivers for everything? I thought FFC (camera) was a problem as well as video playback. Iced is what I'm currently using and its rock solid and can overclock.

yeah i agree, but i do with what i have and enjoy my homescreen, since i have to look at it constantly, even when locked

Looks promising, but I have a couple questions.
1. If I wanted a numerical battery, could I flash this first, then a battery mod over it? Or would that mess **** up?
2. Is there a way to "unflash" this in case I don't like it, or is the only way to create a backup and restore it?
EDIT 3. Would using a GBread theme increase battery life, because of the black backdrops on menus and etc?

yes to your 1st question, no to the 2nd you would have to wipe, and no way to the 3rd.
great job on this by the way!!!!
only thing that doesnt work for regular sense is the battery

yes I know there's a "stock animations" zip on the rom page. but it doesn't have the gingerbread theme. I hate how the iced glacier rom pages transition. its weird and annoying i want the gingerbread icons but the stock transitions...

The reason is that all the files are in the framework. When you flash the round battery, it also includes all the files required for the framework apk to work which overwrite the theme.
If you link me a circle battery that you like, I can see if I can make a special one for you.

Yeah i was thinking about that, im using the desire HD port from eVil. I actually wouldnt mind the original battery.. but it wont work with regular sense. just mysense. everything else works besides the battery lol. is there a fix for that?

lol i just found out the only thing that acutally works are the animations in regular sense. i thought the other stuff worked but it actually just shows green icons that.. stay green and the time doesnt change hahah

if you still want to use it in the meantime just use a different keyboard
but i will get to it i am making a 3D rosie supported version right now

It is meant for Mikshift which is Odex but you can try it on another shift rom i cant guarntee everything will work though

What happens if you change out HTC.IME before flashing?

Edit it seems that it won't let me change input methods now like if I'm on a blank text box and just long hold it vibrates unless I have text copied then it let's me paste...no problem at all I don't use on-screen kb much just reporting
The things your theme changed in my 3D rosie mod look sweet, i understand its not a full theme and everything isnt themed but the stuff that it did theme looks good i cant wait to see what you cook up next, good job...this is the only theme we have for 3D carousel if im not mistaken

It doesnt replace HTC IME anymore whatever you have for it will stay the same i kind of silently replaced the 1.0 version of the 3D carousel version 10 min ago to not replace htc ime didnt post it just changed the link so if your having a problem with it redownload new one and wipe and install

I have had one force close on some kinda profile widget that i dont even use haha and it was on first boot its all smooth sailing now

For 3D carousel versions the link is right above the first screenshot
You should take the htc_ime out of the theme completely... Not only is it a different version, but aamikan tweaked it, so, better left out of this theme for now.. That will fix the htc_ime f/c's... I am the owner of this theme and will be glad to help on the shift port if wanted... Just pm me and i can help!

Yea I removed htc ime out of it already.

Ok guys GruesomeWolf and Team-Nocturnal coming at ya with another mod.
This mod will add Slide to Clear Notifications to your status bar. Anyone who has ran CM knows what Im talking about, for those that dont I have a little video.
Couple of things I would like to note :
1) This was based off the latest OTA files
2) This is a Stock Status-Bar with the Slide to Clear option added (so no it is not compatible with "Tweaks" of any kind). If anyone out there would like to add this to a status bar that is compatible with Tweaks, please feel free.
3) If any dev. out there wants to use this mod in there ROM.....Again please feel free. I only ask that proper credits be given. All our stuff is open source....so have at it.
4) I will do 2 variations of this. One with a clear button (for those users who always end up with 15+ notifications in there status bar), and one with no clear button (for the user who doesnt get that many notifications, and prefers a Clean Look)
5) I am not responsible for what you do to your device.
Ok now that we got that out of the way, lets watch a little video so you people who dont know what Im talking about can get it ( Note: this video was taken off my ROM on the Evo4G, so this is not what this status bar looks like, I just made this to give people an idea of what this mod will do, also pay no
attention to my kids being loud. )

I will shoot you a pm of the files that I edited, although the AOSP framework.jar is likely gonna be a lot different.
Could someone upload their stock SystemUI.apk and framework.jar that this replaces, so I can compare for differences? Please, as I don't want to download 400MB's for 2 files.

The zip is only 5.1 mb. The systemUI has been opted....
Just a little FYI this was tested on "Mean Rom"

I thought he updated his base? If so it will work.....just no tweaks. Pm virus if you want that...lol

If your running a ROM based off the latest ota, then just flash the zip.

Wouldn't it overwrite my current mods? I'm running viper rom and it had leedroid tweaks among others.

Is there a guide anywhere cause the ROM I'm on is themed and I would like to keep it like that? I saw on the TN site you used a guide by someone I can't remember the name, but is that on here somewhere?

Due to a "dev" attempting to kang this and not give me credit for the framework transparency mod after he has asked me to be a part of the ROM, assist him in the transparent aspect, doing the edits for this individual, and not even originally credited for my work and then only being credited for "Wallpaper Show" as of Aug 5th, my transparent framework thread is no longer available to the public. If you figure it out yourself all the power to you. If you ever use someone elses work in your rom, Please do the XDA right thing and give credit where credit is due. I'm pretty sure you can figure out who it is. I WILL not support losers like this.
I'm grateful everyone has enjoyed my mod enough to run it on their phones and include it in themes/ROMs.

Thanks for this man.. I'm going to give this a go on a stock deodexed rom.. now with tw..do you have to decompile the tw framework-res as well? I would like to make all this transparent or semi transparent like this =) Thanks in advance!

Yea i attemtped this on a stock tw deodexed rom and did see any difference.. Followed the exact steps and made image transparent with adobe elements.. Any help would be appreciated!

No you don't have to touch tw-framework at all. Just change the xml edit to true. And make the image under drawable transparent. I tried this on Moon Rom before actually and it came out nice.
Edit: Try paint.net to make it transparent. I never tried adobe

Thanks man for response..Lol im sure it did look good.. I have it working.. But i want more lol of course! Have you seen this ROM I want to do something like this with floating windows and some of the apps that you have provided also.. SO fully transparent!! Have you attempted doing the keyboard or the phone.. The dialer is somewhat transparent but in call is not.. You want to help me put something together???:good::good:

Hey bro, if you want to just have a background with framework dependent apps then all you need to do is replace, "tw_background_holo_dark." No XML edits needed for that unless you want to go transparent .

Yeah if you want a custom image that's all you gotta replace. This mod was made for transparent purposes but i figured someone would figure out what you figured out in the process!

Shaweet, I have it completed and setup up as an aroma option for my two themes. (Not yet released for the others reading this, lol.) Ill make sure to give you proper credit . I dig the mod but it does glitch up with some apps like youtube.

You know what, I found a fix for that for my ROM. And I need to update this thread. There's are more lines I added to styles for the glitches to go away. I will be glad to help you with that. You have a hangouts email we can chat?

It doesnt.
Edit: Pattern lock screen? Like a passcode? I have no idea. But the regular lock screen doesnt become transparent.

We don't need shiz like thiz in our forums. You know, Deckoz may not know you did alot of the transparency theming. I mean, it could be a misunderstanding. Have you tried talking to either of them? I really like the rom, and if you had your hand in it, you deserve thanks, and recognition. I have seen problems like this before tear up a whole forum. There is no way I want to get into a he said/ she said thing, and I am sorry this happened. You really shouldn't punish the rest of us low level code tweakers though. I mean, what is done, is done, and pulling your stuff now just hurts us lowly, uneducated people. I am not telling you what to do, just offering a view you prob dont care to see because you are mad. Thanks for having it up, I just wish I would have got to try it myself before it got pulled. Really man, sorry.
