Slingplayer not working? - Atrix 4G Themes and Apps

Can't get Slingplayer to run, buffers to about 50-70% or so and then says "another user is connected do you want to disconnect them?" and whether or not I click "yes" it crashes me back to the home screen. It is working fine with my other Android devices.
Also Splashtop Remote just launches and then crashes back to home screen.
I'm guessing it's either the odd resolution or some problem with the Tegra processors.
Or maybe it's all AT&T's fault!

Its not working for me either. I says loging in then buffering and just quits out

I'm getting the same issues, bummer

I have my Atrix rooted and installed Slingplayer and I have had no problems.

the dish network app works great for me on the atrix.

That's odd, wonder why yours works? What model Slingbox? Over wifi, 3G or both?

verizon 6800 and skype on 6.1

I just took the plunge and upgraded.
I will be heading to costa rica in 2 weeks and need to be in contact with my practice. Someone mentioned skype. I was reading about it, but the consensus is that it doesnt work on 6.1.
Anyone hve experience?

google skype version 2.2.0.18 and install it it will solve the no audio issue.... but ur main concern will be getting wifi access in Costa Rica because if you roam using Data it may be cheaper to just use cellular
can you link or attach the installer?

Don't forget that using wifi doesn't count as data, so it's free to use worldwide. It may work well using local hotspots.
So what about the newest 2.2.0.37 version. I make calls but dont hear anything over the earpiece.

Ok. They are up to 2.2.0.45. It does come up and run. Lets you sign in and all. My problem is that I called the "Echo / Sound Test Service" and there was no sound. Can anyone else reproduce?
Search for a thread titled "VoIP on wifi" there is a version of Skype linked on the 2nd page that works.

What about working on 3G? I couldn't care less if it worked on WiFi.
the newest version is not working ... again.... damn!
I posted about this over on the general Titan section... I installed, was able to sign in and all - but still no sound. Skype reported that this was compatible with Windows Mobile 6.1, but maybe it's a problem with the Titan itself? Any ideas? I was able to call my friend with this and their Skype ringed, but no sound coming either way.
Also - you can instant message with it - just not talk... Anybody?
WTF?!
Seriously, people have posted this already. The latest version of Skype does not work on the Titan. When they tell you it is compatible with Windows Mobile 6.1 clearly it is since it installs and runs. You have to use an older version of Skype to get the audio to work. I personally use a Beta version. There is even a version of skype that works with the Titan stated earlier in this thread.
Yeah, Skype has declared 6.1 support with the Skype ver 2.2.0.45 released yesterday.
Frankly I'm more worried about the chat features than voice. So as long as it launches...

Not sure about 3G. I don't use Verizon's data network. I have wifi access everywhere I use my phone so I quit paying for it. Try it out and let us know. It's the only version I could get sound with over wifi though.

I did a search and realize that older versions didn't work on the Titan, but with a brand new release as of yesterday, I was hoping some of the issues had been addressed by Skype in the latest release...
Try this version:

It works great over WiFi. Not sure about 3G, but it is the only version that I could find with working sound.

I just used it to talk to my cousin (over wifi) in Spain last week with dcd 3.2.2 and radio 3.42.02. I did install the VoIP feature in dcd's kitchen. I have not tried it with the latest dcd kitchen though.
Try doing a soft reset after install before opening the program.

It worked after a clean ROM install, but now I am also having the same problem.
I think it is because I uninstalled it and tried the new version released yesterday linked above. When I went to reinstall it and open it nothing happened as you say. Just the hour glass. Weird.
I assume you have also been trying multiple versions after your last ROM install?

Big thanks to lionclaw. TetherGPS allows you to tether your android phone w/ GPS to your nook color and share gps data, no longer need bluetooth. I'm currently running it on my droid x wifi-tethering to nook color on eclair. Works great. All credit goes to lionclaw.

seeing as how there are <50 downloads and 0 ratings in the market
but I guess I can always return it
and losing out on 3 bucks really wouldn't be the end of the world anyway

This works great!!!
Point Inside is usable now! I was just looking at a map of the Seattle airport. Before this, it would just force close when I tried to pull up a map. Logcat showed it was due to lack of GPS.
I am a happy camper.
Oh wow.. this looks incredible (espcially since i will tether with my incredible! hehe).
One question - does this also still allow internet data tethering? Or does this just piggy back on any tether (Wifi or barnacle)?

You can still use WiFi for data. The server broadcasts to the WiFi subnet (currently coded for /24 subnets).
So as long as the LAN you're on has a /24 subnet and supports broadcast packets you're good to go. Just connect both devices to the same network. It also works fine with the device tethered to the phone using android-wifi-tether. I haven't tried any other wifi tether apps, but so long as the above conditions are met I don't see any reason why it won't work.
I'll probably add a server configuration to allow for different sized subnets or the ability to send directly to a certain IP, if people want those options.
Thanks for the feedback everyone
any chance we might see the server running on an iPhone? It should work in a similar way, at least on the Nook Color side...
...and it made some news already...
This is exactly what I was thinking could be done a few weeks ago, but never posted about it. I'm glad someone did it and it works, this is pretty cool.
Hopefully the battery usage is reasonable etc..

The light version is up on the market and at http://www.comptonsoft.com
It includes the full client and a light version of the server that will run for 5 minutes at a time. After it stops its notification will change to "Time limit reached." and stop sending GPS data. You can just re-toggle the widget to start it again.
I'll have a setup/demo video ready in just a bit.

Problem with Bluetooth

I have had my Omate Truesmart for about two weeks now and I have loved it. When I turned my watch on this morning the bluetooth refuses to turn on. It was working last night but this morning it won't stay on. I have tried from the notification bar and from the settings wireless and networks. Neither approach works. When I slide the toggle to on from settings it immediately jumps back to off.

Do you have recovery?
If you have recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cache and then try...
You could have same problems like many other.
If wiping won't to the job, it could be hardware issue, maybe to open it and check connections.
But contact Loki first...maybe he has better idea...

Loki suggested on G+ to try disabling Quick Boot, then rebooting.
It's in Settings>System>Accessibility
Yes, you have to turn off quick boot to recover bluetooth, or pull the battery or let the battery run all the way down. Otherwise it doesn't really reboot, and Bluetooth will still not work.

Just for reference. This did solve the problem. I am now back up and running. In regards to network access unavailable I had solved that with mine since I have it paired with Glass I had to enable bluetooth tethering. Then the error went away then the problem is that it always asked to connect and I had to manually disconnect it otherwise it would severely drain my battery.
I have also tried enabling Bluetooth tethering but still cannot connect. I don't seem to be able to connect with my laptop either. I can't send files at all. I might just have to be patient and wait for an update.
I am using the latest cm nightlies and Ubuntu 13.10 if it makes any difference.

That's the only tethering that works. Can't do it they other way (x201 > phone > internet) so it's still broken really.

I see. So it can provide bluetooth tethering but not consume it.

I've heard that this watch and the TS is pretty much the same watch. I'm having trouble with connecting with BT with my HTC One XL. I tried connecting a BT headset to it and it paired and connected. When I tried my laptop and my phone, they pair, but immediately disconnect; or rather, they don't connect at all in the first place. Has anyone had, and resolved, this issue with the Omate?
The BT issues affect ALL x201 smartwatches. So if it gets fixed on any x201, this forum will go nuts with folks applying the fix.

Need internet connection at first only for setting up the application thus loading its built in IR data.
Due to its app size, meaning there is only picked brands that are accessible offline.
Try to compare, with wifi connection, there are bunch of brand names listed rather than without wifi.
