been a while, but i think you go to the home screen, hit menu, edit
it should zoom out and show previews of the windows with an "X" icon on the upper corner. form there you should be able to delete and add screens.

You're a god..... thx

home screen issues!
i just got my FIRST TOUCHSCREEN/ANDROID phone! Motorola atrix 4g... and i hate the quick launch buttons that you cant send to trash! but though i really just wanted to keep stock,, i eally like the others! (adw, launcher pro, and go launcher ex!)

Oh, i'm using Fjfalcon CM7
Installed on fjfalcon's CM7 (on XT720mod sbf) and running fine. No options menu to speak of, but it seems to work fine. It's forced me to simplify my desktop to make it look good, which has a good effect on free RAM (currently getting avg 45+).
Would like to be able to select which screen is the home screen and to vertically scroll the app drawer.
I'm curious though, how did you get it to do the four corners thing? Mine does it, but if you look for this launcher app via google, you find the original thread here on XDA and there's no mention of the four corners (or only three home screens).
I don't know.
I fount it on this site:
http://www.andguru.com/apps/xperia-arc-launcher-v2-0-hdpimdpildpi.html
Do you have 4 corners? Is that good, i love that, make my home screen nice and clean (look better than folder).
woa...looks great...thanks a lot...
thanks dude, gonna try

Replacing Icons ?

Hello all,
I am running Check Rom V6 right now. I have 5 icons, dialer, contacts, messaging, home, and apps. I was wondering if someone could guide me on how to use these icons. They are all in a .png format. Any help is very much appreciated.
Thanks

What launcher are you using? Most allow you to replace icons with ones of your choosing, you'll just have to put them on your sdcard.
If you're wanting to theme icons at the system level, or your launcher doesn't allow you to select a custom icon, then you'll have to modify apks.

Send me the icons and I'll make a flashable .zip for you that will change them, hassle free ( plus a recovery one so you can revert them if you don't like them ).
It's 2 minutes of work
Edit : I figure you want to change them while using Touchwiz, because replacement launchers do it easily anyway
Thank You Sir!!!!
I have uploaded the contacts messaing apps and all icons i dont need the dialer as it is stock look in the newest 2.3.6 builds

Ok , I'm onto it now
Edit : K, it's done
http://www.mediafire.com/?tg582yvin5z4jz3
CWM -> Install update from sdcard ( don't worry about "enter the Vertumus world" text, I just edited Vert's zip a bit )
tested on my phone and works like a charm
Now I just need to wait till my CheckROM v6 finishes downloading so I can make a restore zip for you.
I'm not sure what the default icons are in new version and I need it anyway
Check this post later on. Post a screenshot when you flash it
Sir dont worry about the the restore packages i have a backup. I will post a screen shot thank you soo much though

Not strictly true - although it is an app drawer replacement.
Can change icons and names with this, my favourite ever app ever of all time ever.
As I've posted before, if there's an easier way to edit icons/text and retain functionality, I have yet to find it.
Especially because I couldn't modify an apk if my life was at stake...

Actually, the easiest way is using vrtheme, no need to modify apks or use anything else than the Touchwiz launcher itself
Check the last post on the previous page
Sounds Good

Thanks, I'll take your word for it. But I don't use TW launcher, and the app I refer to gives me a list view - a dealbreaker for me, was looking for a listview forever and a day, and I'll never go back

Mate are you serious ?
You have the list view in touchwiz too
Open appdrawer -> options button ( the one to the left of the home button ) -> List View...
I just hope you were joking

Not joking, sorry. Haven't used nor installed TW launcher for about 7 months.
Live and learn - glad to be corrected, and not worried about my ignorance being on public display. Can hardly backtrack now can I?
Can you edit icons and app names there too?

Need Empty Home Screen

Good day,
I like to have an empty home screen in 1+X. Could anyone help me with this.
Thanks
Ricky
You're right, if there is nothing on it, it erase itself...
You'll probably have to go to something like Nova Launcher or same type...

Thanks
I'm using ADW launcher and my screen looks like this - i.imgur.com/foZ13hs.png (sorry cant post links)
If you remove quick launch buttons and put black wallpaper you get it.
There are surely many other ways of achieving this.

Thanks it worked.
Apex Launcher is also very good for doing this. It has a lot of customization and you can get very specific with how you want things to look. I generally prefer it vs nova. It seems more clean, organized in the settings layout and to the point. You won't need a widget in order to keep your home screen clean and you can make it look just like OOS launcher if you were to prefer it's look and layout.

PowerShade

For those of you that don't like vivo notification drawer here is a great solution , better if you are using Nova launcher as your default launcher
This video will give you a little overview
Enjoy your Nex

Any ideas?
Don't u find vivo default is easier as it's swiped up from bottom.. this u need to lift ur finger to the top to swipe down.

Yes I changed back using the default one, mainly because this is not a system wide replacement.
You can configure Nova on slide down to open this

I does not appear in my autostart application list.
I gave all the permissions I could find, it seems that it has something to do with the accessibility permission that goes off from time to time.

Custom Homescreen not selectable

I recently got the Reno 3 Pro. Great phone so far.
When I installed my favorite launcher, I found out, that there is no possibility to set/keep it as standard.
In app management>default app the content for Homescreen is missing ....
Got the latest ColorOS update.

Strange, I have the home screen option in default app settings as attached.
I would suggest install some other launcher and click home, it will ask you to choose which should be default as checkbox, choose your fav launcher and uninstall the other launcher.

Yes, I did. When I then click the home button it asks me whether I want to set the new launcher as standard launcher - so far ok. When I then click yes, then I get the screen with "standard home app" saying "no app"

Thank you, I tried the app, but whenever I open it, it's not going to open but switches immediately to the first screen (Homescreen) of the oppo Reno standard launcher.
What I do now is, I start my favorite launcher and it runs like a normal app. To keep it open, I always have to switch back to it in the recent app list. When I end/kill it, then of course I get the standard launcher Homescreen back.
Very strange for me too, I have been working with many smartphones yet, also rooting and flashing things forwards and backwards but not yet encountered a problem like this
Enclosed a picture of my given default app list where Homescreen is simply missing

I have the same problem. Reno 3 PRO bought in China
i have the same problem but i remember when i received it i could choose the default app to open word excel and pdf files then i did the latest update which is PCRM00_11_A.29_6423cd33 and now i can choose the defaut for message, phone, browser, camera, photos, music and video that all
kernel 4.19.81
I wonder if the problem is not from the last update
