[Q] Contacts: sort by surname - Defy Themes and Apps

Yesterday i flashed froyo on my Defy (Pays-Rom) and I'm missing the option to sort contacts by Surname.
As I remember from my HTC Sapphire, this option was introduced with the first Froyo builds (Cyanogenmod 6.0)
Can anyone help?
Also tried aContacts... but no such option. Thought this feature depends on the froyo SDK?

HTCSync 3 on Hero Froyo

Hi,
anyone knows if it's possible to sync Hero phone with a froyo ROM (FroydVillain) with the new version of HTC Sync?
Thanks
No CM based Froyo ROM will work with HTC Sync, since it's an HTC Sense feature.

[Q] "Market" for roms [And how to know when a update for your rom is available]?
Hi there, I'm new to this forum.
I've looked around a little bit but didnt find what I was looking for. Anyhow, I wonder if there's any app/programme that shows available roms for the x10i including updates and so on?
Installed RomManager but I found out that it didn't support x10i.
Ps.
Certainly running "CM 6.1.3 [V006] Kernel-010 [13-05-11]"
Ds.

Help! Newbie Question

Currently I have a VS G-Tablet running VegANtab 7.0.0. It's a miracle that I was somehow able to install that rom without significant problems. I like VegANtab, but I find myself longing for the old stock interface (dashboard launcher) and the old apps which I cannot duplicate through the app store or at least I cannot find any self-contained calendar or contacts apps that do not sync to a google account. (I hate that syncing.)
So I'm looking for a way to run the old interface on a more current rom. I understand that this is TnT which is not VegANtab. I've searched the internet for ways to do this, and the results I received have left my head spinning.
Apparently, it is possible to do so with something called a Caulkin rom. What is a Caulkin rom? Something like TnT or CyanogenMod? I've never come across it before. Is the Caulkin rom just a kernel, and I have to install another rom together with it?
Can anyone point me to some info about this rom and to where I can download it?
Thanks.
There is a thread for Caulkulin's rom in the development section. It's just a seperate Rom, like the Vegan that you're using, or the original TNT was. Basically, you just flash it like you did the Vegan 7 Rom that you've already flashed.
It's called Caulkulin/Clemysn because it also comes with a custom kernel developed by Clemsyn. For instance, with you're vegantab 7 rom, you could always also flash a kernel, Clemysn, Pershoot, etc...but with the Caulkulin one, it comes packaged with the Rom.
There are many, many roms out there, now..it's basically up to you ot find one that makes you happy. some are ports of other systems roms, while others are more built from scratch using information that is available.

[Q] Some issues with CyanogenMod 7.1 for Samsung Ace

Hi all
Since i am a new user, i can't post in the proper thread.
Last night i installed CyanogenMod 7.1 in my Galaxy Ace. I am astonished as it gave a new live to my phone. I also instaled V6 Supercharger. I was comming from Villain 2.3.3, wich started to gave me SoD's.
I would like to know if there is a fix for my 3 problems:
- When i make a call, the call screen goes to the notification bar. Is there a way to keep it showing as long as the call goes ? (normal behavior)
- In the contacts list, there isn't a search bar/button. Is it possible to add one, as i see this rom is higly customizable, but i searched in options and didnt find it.
- Kies no longer connects to my phone. I dont know if this is normal, because my older VillainRom worked OK with Kies. Contacts restore was a real P.I.T.A. .
Thanks for your attention, any help would be very appreciated.
Bump! Help please !
there is a setting which can solve that in settings menu i had a same problem of call
search bar is for touchwiz so in cyanogenmod its not available but u can use touchpal dialer
kies only suppoerts touchwiz and in cyanogenmod touchwiz is removed hence cant connect
