I'm basically a G1 user and I know you are still thinking about 2.3 on your phone. This is my small contribution for the community
Here I've got a Nexus One with Pre-released Android 2.4 which you guys are dreaming about.
Here is the system dump from my nexus one of android 2.4
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JI4TIIYZ

Its not rooted.
I don't take any responsibility if anything happens to your phone.
If you don't know how to use it then please don't download it.
Cheers

Can you provide a mirror? I can't load the file from mediafire somehow.

Mirroring it now. Will provice link when its done.

The infamous 2.4 that should be out by spring 2011?
unless the actual 2.33 update is indeed 2.4

It's a pre-release build with a lower ID than 2.3.3, so either 2.4 became 2.3.3 or it's still progressing.

To put it simply; this is not for you

it's an old AOSP build with a modified build.prop... there is a lot of error in french translation in it, and there isn't in ASOP since 1 or 2 month
and the maket is the old one.... strange for a new Android version

It's just like the gingerbread we already know, probably this is an old test build since it has an older build number than 2.3.3

That's definitely the biggest gain here.... the majority of the gingerbread code has already been available since December, but lacking all the proprietary crap has been the biggest hurdle thus far.... the current gingerbread ROMs out there are undoubtedly going to have significant gains in stability and hopefully performance from this....
I would be careful though.... there's probably been more than a few changes to things between whenever this dump was made and whenever the official ota was built... so this could potentially lead to more issues....

I have searched and searched and searched, but I cannot find any mirrors or anything that can point me to dcd 2.2.0. IF someone has it or the rapidshare link, please post it. I'm using 2.1.0 and wanted to go with 2.2.0 until his next release comes out.

Yeah, but newer doesn't mean better. Here's DCD's elaboration upon his GPS enabled ROMs:
dcd1182 said:
i think that everything based on 5.2.19199/19199.1.0.0 is affected so far
thats all of 2.2.x
2.0 was gps enabled, wm6.0
2.1 was gps enabled, wm6.1 beta, apparently not affected
2.2 is gps enabled, wm6.1 final, affected

If we're playing with these then we are crossing our fingers, testing and hopefully providing feedback. The problem is that reliability may be more of a concern if our phones are not only a toy.
I had the weekend to play but I cannot depend upon the latest ROMs. I was all prepared to head back to 1.6.10, but as others interested in the GPS, I've also decided to revert back to either of the first two 2.x releases. Last night, I decided upon 2.1. To avoid a beta OS in a beta ROM, 2.0 would have been preferred but I also can't find a retained link to a host.
DCD and others, thanks for getting us so far so quickly with the leaked ROMs!
Maybe there should be a stick with links pointing to all previously released ROMs so one can pick which one to go back to.
I did have most of them downloaded but my HD crashed, guess I should have made a back up.
I have it somewhere so I will post it. what is a good file sharing website these days?

DCD seems to be planning on returning to 2.2.0 base XIP, which is the last stable WM6.1 without any SD or other significant issues. I've been using this cook: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=17535 and I highly recommend it. It's stable, fast, not completely naked, leaves ~22MB free and gives back cached memory (aka the notorious leak) a short while after programs close.
It just works. Go try it.
Thanks a lot for the vzw rom ... i really appreciate it!!!!

Isn't there the full 003 ROM zip that you can even flash in TWRP shouldn't you could edit that zip? And if I'm correct there should be options to extract img files or you could make backups in TWRP and create flushable files out of them...

I think a stable base is lacking, from which developers can cook roms with. Thats why development is slow. I had opo from the first day, within a month we saw the creation of several custom roms. Opx is nearing the second month from release date.
Almost everyone can make a custom rom from a zipfile with a custom kernel added (blu kernel), build.prop tweaks, deodexed, optimal preinstalled settings and removal of unnecessary apps and files. But sd card and other stock problems will remain. So i think its holding people back to play with this rom.
Its a cyclical process, many people are waiting on developers because stock isnt stable. Developers are waiting for stock rom because custom wouldn't be stable (if there even are recognized developers who bought opx).

I'm coming from the Xperia L. It was released in spring 2013, and I got that device in August, but still had to wait till Dec till the dev scene took off. Still, once it took off the development was crazy. It was in fact one of the first phones to get CM12 (within a week, iirc) with very few bugs
Compared to that, development here feels amazingly fast. We already have an awesome custom kernel, and cm12.1 seems to be just about done. I'm sure things will get hectic soon around here too
It's nothing to do with a "stable base" or any other stuff like that. It's just a lack of time that the existing devs have. Had this device been out during the vacations or something, CM13 would've been daily driver stuff in less than a week.

Just found this Rom on internet

Anyone knows something about this one?

Why would you want LOS over stock?
Those kind of questions really hurt the developers. Everyone has their personal tastes, which should be respected.

PS, that rom appears to be made for the 3GB RAM version of the phone. Unless the softwares are cross-compatible with each other (3GB RAM and 4GB RAM versions), 4GB RAM version users might need to port the rom first.
Hay. I have tried this rom on my S7 3G but first i got ERROR 7 cause he seid i have a 4g version but i have 3g.
So i modified the update-script and it seems to install but if i reboot he said no system installed!

There is a new version at the same link. Updated the install process so that there are no errors anymore.

Installed and tried the ROM on my S7 4G/64GB. All is working well and fast, I am very happy.

debug versions of MM 1901
atleast they should provide user debug versions of MM 1901. lot of testers even lost their DRM's they should help to recover it, people have spent their precious time flashing the software and testing it and they should respect that
rtos123 said:
I think xiaomi is further not going to update Nougat. but at-least they should provide formal way to downgrade to MM for ethical reasons that we all tried to test the Nougat beta versions. now at-least provide a build to directly rollback/downgrade to MM 1901 from nougat.

xiaomi looks like irresponsible company towards beta testing program. they care less about the process, I had same experience with one of the xiaomi phones too. should think several times before helping them to test their beta softwares.
xiaomi thinks to follow with apple standards, but no where near apple. where apple provides gold standard in supporting and followup with Beta testers and they respect the beta testers a lot. I'm not trying be a negative critic here but its the fact !

i dunno about all that lol no devine manufacturers even google allow downgrading between os versions.. its a security risk
plus to take a beta update, is, well, a beta lol betas mean they might not work 100%.. i mean most stuff worked depending on what build u were on.. same goes for userdebug, they didnt have to release any userdebug.. in fact, most companies dont do that ever due to security again lol
another userdebug isnt gonna help.. wed still b stuck in same position
What's new in this version? Did they fix the auto refresh ratio?
1st of all there was not an official beta program for nougat... Many of us tried it because we were enthusiastic.. So you can not blame them
2 don't there is way to downgrade and keep your Netflix keys and chromecast.. Google it.. I try it successfully and I have to share tha mm is much better for that box than nougat

Seems the great majority of complaints about Nougat Beta 1560 relate to Youtube, and almost exclusively from users outside of US. Likely a Playstore issue that does not affect the US market.

What base version should I be on? I used xperifirm and newflash to return to stock android 12 firmware and then ran the bat file and everything flashed fine but it just sticks on the Sony logo.
Edit: Tried using both the latest firmware from Sony (61.1.A.4.78) and Android 11 firmware (61.0.A.23.20) both result in just sitting on the Sony logo.
