[Q] Complete Backup Of Touch2 - Touch2 ROM Development

Hi all,
I'm using the Non-Camera of Touch2 (T3330). I would like to flash my ROM to replace the current sucky WM 6.5 Professional on my phone. However, as my phone is currently still covered under warranty (I'm willing to take the risk), I would need to know:
1. how can I do a complete full backup of my current ROM and the OS WM 6.5 Professional? I'm asking just in case I need the phone to be serviced.
2. Also, if I want to revert back to the original ROM and the original OS WM 6.5 Professional from the backup, how can I do that?
I would appreciate if anyone can point me to a step-by-step guide for reference. I tried to navigate through the forums but I just can't seem to find the information that I'm looking for.
I really really appreciate any help given and will definitely click on the "Thanks" button.
Cheers!!!

Can someone help me ?

As you see, I could use some help
For the last month or so (since I own an Atom Life) I was waiting for a WM6.1 Build 21015 ROM to come out, but that has not happened.
I wanted to use things like this HTC Menu Replacement and this only runs on Builds above 21xxx.
Has anyone made a ROM like that and just not posted it here or is just no one interested in creating such a ROM ?
I would do it myself, but I suck at cooking, never even got a ROM to build correctly and I don't know where to find a Base 21xxx ROM to start with, also I don't know where to find the Drivers or other necessary Stuff to make the ROM usable on Atom Life.
So my question, short, is this: Is there such a ROM, if yes could you direct me to where it is to be found ?
If not, could you tell me where I can find the necessary stuff to create such a ROM ?
Maybe i'll register at PDAVIET to take a look there, if Google delivers an accurate enough Translation...
I'll be free to help you after 12 May. If you can wait for me till then, I'll be glad to help you, dude.
By the way, you can find the HTC-ported stuff in the Development & Hacking forum. And a software called called FingerSuite can replace the HTC Menu Enhancement(the original one won't work on Atom Life).
well, I just remembered that your ROM is already there, there is just one little Question I need to have answered, it's in your Thread
If this Question is answered, some Moderator is welcome to close this thread or delete it altogether

WM 6.1 to WM 6.5

This is probably a noob questions, but I thought I would get confirmation before I jump into it as I don’t see it anywhere posted anywhere. I am not new to flashing and have been flashing 6.1 for awhile now. I see all the 6.5 ROMs being posted and wondering if there is anything new I need to do apply before jumping into a 6.5 ROM. I do have HardSPL applied and understand that each ROM is different, but in general please let me know.

Nope... I don't think so...
Just backup your personal stuff... And start flashing
Thanks
Thanks for the quick response. Rule of thumb is always back up. I always flash back to the orginal stock ROM and start from a clean slate. Didn't think I needed to do anything, but better to be safe than sorry and ask!
And get ready to ask moreeee... questions.. We are here try to help u answer it
how do u recover factory rom?? ive never flashed anything b4 .... i use sprite backup to backup my stuff... thx in advance
If ur stock rom is available for download from HTC/carrier site, then no need to backup ur factory rom by dumping it (search for Jcespi2005 thread).
sorry another question... if i load a WM6.5 rom can i load my contacts and stuff from sprite ?? thanks
I never use sprite but i think it will work fine if u only want to restore contacts. But dont do full restore as wm6.5 hv many different modules / registry entries. DotFred PIM Backup will do the job perfectly. SPB backup also working fine.

Windows Mobile 6.5 - Help. :)

So I don't know much about this stuff, the extent of my knowledge is how to get a .cab on my phone and install something like Manilla 2D on my HTC Touch Dual(model no.: NEON400).
I saw this thread: ttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=567027
which is pretty much what I am asking.
Can so please give a more detailed tutorial on how to do all of this stuff about HardSPL and Radio and stuff? If you need to know what rom I am looking at putting on my phone it is this one:

Sorry for being such a newb but I just don't want to **** up my phone.
*PS: I had to remove the h on the url due to the new member link restriction.
-Please use the 'Search' function first, and check the manuals already made available for the Niki.
-First read the manuals completely and follow the steps meticulously..!
-Before posting your questions, remember that everything you need to know, to flash your device, is probably already made available for you on the board.
-Take your time to find out what you need to know before you flash your device, or you 'will' brick it..!
I can't hspl my Neon400 using the same things as used for the Nike, I've tried and it does not work so this thread is obsolete. But thank you for acknowledging my trouble and taking the time to try to help.

Help me please

I own an HTC Iolite: Touch Cruise 2
I bought 2 months ago and it has on it Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.
I want to install Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional...
I havent done anything at all to my mobile as far as installing any kinds of roms are concerned...this means that I really need a clear and comprehensive explation-instructions of what to do...
Also tell if I' ll face problems with the new softare and of course do I have to secure all the data???
will everything be lost after the update??
Finally,I would like to ask generally how safe it is and what are the risks
Thanks for your time reading my problem...
I hope somebody experienced will help me
Sure Jim, we will help you on your way.......
Start with reading this thread how to flash a Rom.....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=678893
And further in this section you find Hard-SPL http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=552481
Custom RUU http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=492931 to put a Rom on your phone or depending on the Rom use memory-card method...like in this thread with in my opinion a great Rom....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=572713
It is good to make a back-up of your Rom in case you have to return your phone for a repair under guarantee see here how to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=492747
Why flash a custom Rom? Rom cookers have made something that offers more than the stock Rom's. And in particular when your phone is older than half a year or so it lacks the latest software...like Windows Mobile 6.5 .....
Happy flashing......and if you have questions please come back....

Upgrading TyTN to WM 6.5, need help.

Hello there.
I'm new to xda-developers and started to want to upgrade my HTC TyTN to Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional. But, I cannot find any ROM's, and also i'm new to all this stuff so I need some guidance. Can someone help me?
Best wishes.
Welcome to XDA-Developers.
All you need to do is flash Hard-SPL to unlock your phone (to put any sim in) and to also enable you to be able to flash custom roms in.
Then find any wm6.5 roms and flash it into your device...
I personally prefer the wm6.1 roms, they are most stable and faster imo.
OK, so I've been reading the Common Upgrade Problems on the wiki, and I saw this:
Important : Windows VISTA users need to make a change to their system to successfully use many ROM packages. See Mr. Vanx's guide here.

Since Mr.Vanx's website was taken down, I ask you what are the changes i need to perform and if I need to apply them to Windows 7.
Best wishes!
