[Q] Any of my fellow forum members do custom vinyl stickers? - G Tablet Accessories

I've got a buddy working on a file for me that has the official gTablet logo (like on the back of the tab), with an Android guy (not sure where he's putting the dude. I gave him open creativity.) I'm wondering if anyone makes custom stickers or can suggest a place to get one made. I'd only need the one. Any ideas?
(I'll upload a picture of it when he's done. I don't expect it to need multiple layers or anything.)
I plan to get a carbon fiber cover, but I still want to show off what I'm using.

yep! Check aaron19953 here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=858094 actually spoke with him the other day. Great guy and seems to have lots of respect from the work he's produced so far!

Thanks Steve. I'll PM him after I get a file.

Screen and Digitizer for Sprint Touch Pro2

Hi,
I have a Sprint Touch Pro2, recently it has been dropped and a little rock pushed the digitizer in,
I would like to know, those that own one, do you suggest replacing just the digitizer, or the screen as well? I read that it was very difficult to replace, if anyone can point me to the right thread that describes, or has a 'HOW TO'!
I am not an ignorant user, i did my research, but before i go ahead and take my phone apart, a confirmation would be helpful!
Thank you all!

There's a "how to" down the screen in that link...looks like I'd better hope I never break the digitizer...

[Q] Dark Edge Theme Request!

I was hoping someone was able to do a Dark Edge kinda theme like the gold one. I just remember having the droid one and it was a AWESOME looking theme. It made the phone look so clean, and i think it would be amazing to have for the Atrix. If so please let me know!!
Thanks Everyone
Got a link?
The theme was made by the awesome Xeudoxus. It was made originally for the droid 1, but then people started porting it as themes. This is the link for the dark edge its self for the droid one. http://www.droidforums.net/forum/xeudoxus/61048-release-darkedge-ui-2-2-a.html
The only reason i love this theme is that it made the phone look awesome!! when it had the whole dark look with the nexus style wallpaper it was awesome!! So please let me know.
+1 that theme is sickkkkk

They got some pretty tight requirements for using/porting their themes:
"THIS THEME IS NOT TO BE REDISTRIBUTED, MODIFIED, RELEASED or UPLOADED as your own.
If you would like to use any portion of this theme or port to a device/ROM we don't support, send an email to our team @ DarkEdge support.
-RULES-
-Any port/roms that include ANY part of the DarkEdge Theme is not allowed on "Rom Manager".
-Your "DE Approval Seal" must link back to this thread.
-You cannot distribute any part of DarkEdge in/with a FULL rom.
-You cannot distribute a modded version of DarkEdge (If you want to remove the scanlines, you can. As long as you make a seperate mod for the original DE)
-In your port of DarkEdge, the name of the port must stay "DarkEdge". ("DarkEdge for CM6" is good, "MyEdge for CM6" is not approved)
(If you have any questions please contact the above email address)"
"10/05/10 Were starting a new "Approved DarkEdge port/rom/distributor program" Look for the seal below on all DarkEdge approved ports/roms. If you want to be included in this program all you have to do is meet the above requirements and an image will be generated.
If you want to verify if the image is not a fake, all "DE Approval Seals" will be hosted on my server (Just make sure the seals are located there)."
Wouldn't want to see this turn into a mess like Matted Blues did.
There are also some Dark Edge themes available for ADW on the market.
ADW Dark Edge Themes
They are basic launcher themes, but give a nice appearance.

I Dont like it either but its fair, its their hard work, and not only that but its a SICK SICK theme.

Unless they've filed in court or have a poor man's copyright hidden away there is no such thing as ownership of a theme. It's more a respect thing.
Poor man's copyright would be a stamped, mailed (post marked), unopened, copy of the files needed to prove ownership should it be taken to court. The judge would open the envelope and check the date/time stamps.

Yup, way we would do this when I was back home in the UK is to use airmail paper which is also the envelope, and mail to yourself. That way whatever you want to copyright has the date stamp from the Royal Mail on the same document, and not on a seperate envelope.
Sorry to ask but does anyone have any answer or anything to say on that then? like i know it would be awesome if i could do it my self i would! i tried but none of the scrips came right so i quit
Still waiting for a reply from the creators. Maybe you can shoot them an email also asking permission for an Atrix port.
I have been trying super hard to get someone to respond to me from them. i really wish they get to see this thread and see how much people would love it! If anyone has a way to get ahold of them.

[Q] Heimdall stock ROM for SGH T959?

I have no windows or mac computers, only Linux.
I accidentally installed a CM kernel (Immortality 7) on a non-CM ROM (Bionix V2). Yeah yeah what was I thinking.
I'm trying to flash this phone back to a usable state and am having a few problems. If I had a heimdall firmware package for back to stock I could theoretically do this (if I chose repartition).
I can't find that kind of package and I can't make on either because I can't find all the requisite parts (like cache.rfs, factoryfs.rfs, boot.bin, etc.) for the sgh t959 in any packages (Odin, Heimdall, you name it) that I've downloaded.
What would save my day is a stock package for heimdall that would allow me to repartition.
The long story of it is, it seems when I updated CM7 it put some rfs partitions in place where the phone expects ext4 (I had a lagfix installed). For some reason the phone can't just reformat the partitions. I has to mount it first, which fails.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, man, sounds so simple doesn't it? I think I was trying too hard to hold onto my old rom, etc. That and all the non-stock roms I tried didn't include all the files this one did. Thanks for taking the time to help out. 'i owe you one.

A man was flying along in a balloon when he spies another man out in a field below.
He drops his altitude and shouts at the man below "Where am I?"
The man below replies "You're in a balloon."
The man in the balloon responds with "You must work for Microsoft."
"How did you know?" asks the man below.
"Because you have given me information that is technically correct, but does me no good whatsoever" says the balloon pilot.
"Well you must be in management" replies the man on the ground.
"How did you know?" asks the balloonist.
"You don't know where you are, or where you're going, but since we met it is now somehow MY fault."
Congratz, you have performed both faux pas from the joke above. The first is obvious. The second should also be, but just in case, you have no idea how to do an actual useful search. No clue where you are, or where you're going.
I have been sick, and working extra hours. The result of my first 4 Google searches brought me back to XDA and, unfortunately, this thread. I'm glad you enjoyed posting your little video, I didn't watch it.
Your link (Google search) did no good either, as all the links to XDA articles had dead links to JFD in them. Next time I want to buy some random domain name I'll be sure to ask you.
re: Your sig. Obviously your ego needs stroking. Do something to earn it next time. You're not some 6 year old in public school, so please don't act like one.

First off, love the joke. Don't see its relevance, but funny nonetheless.
If I were to write a joke from my own viewpoint, it would be something like this:
Possibly not safe for work!
A man approached the teller at an information help desk and asked, "Excuse me Ma'am, but could you direct me to this landmark?"
The young teller, though tired and exasperated, pulled out her map and began explaining where the landmark is and how to get to it.
One of the veteran employees, upon witnessing the situation, threw up his hands and yelled, "I quit! If you want my help, I'll be across the street. At least there they weed out some of you idiots before you get in the door!"
Finally, one employee stands up from behind the teller and approaches the man, "Sir, why don't you simply look this up yourself?"
"How dare you!" The man replied angrily, "What makes you think I could possibly find it on my own?"
"Sir, you're holding a map in your left hand."
The man looked, and saw that he indeed was holding a map of the area.
"What of it?" The man replied, flustered but still upset.
"Sir, you're holding a compass in your right hand."
Again the man looked down and there it was! A compass sitting in his right hand.
"That doesn't mean anything! What makes you think I know how to use it?"
"Sir, you have a native guide with you."
The man, remembering, turned around to see the native guide he'd hired standing behind him.
"Sir, in order to answer your question, we have to look at our map, get a reading from our compass, and use our own experience reading maps and compasses to come up with an answer. You have a map, and you have a compass. I have to ask, why are you here?"
"My Gods, I have never been spoken to in such a disrespectful manner! Not everyone knows how to read a map or use a compass! That's why I'm here!"
"Respectfully Sir, if you don't know how to read a map or use a compass, you shouldn't be traveling in the first place."
The man began to fume, but before he could speak further, the employee grabbed him by the collar and threw him backward to the ground.
The employee motioned to the native guide to move slightly to the left and out of range. He then removed a sawed off shotgun from behind his back and proceeded to kneecap the unsuspecting man. He then grabbed the man's collar and pulled him kicking and screaming and bleeding man back into the bathroom, where he slammed him up onto a hook, took out a straight razor, and began his work.
One hour later, the employee emerged from the bathroom, soaked in blood and sweat, holding the man's face in one hand and the shotgun in the other, and shouted, "Would anyone else like us to direct you to the landmark, or would you rather spend the next 5 minutes learning how to use a map?"

OK. Less of a joke, more of a parable.
The irony is that for all your complaints, you apparently took my advice, did your own research, and found a copy of what you needed without any further answers, as evidenced by the end of your post.
EDIT: Having done the research now myself, I will have to put at least half my foot in my mouth. Information I assumed was easily available actually took a good 15 minutes to locate rather than the 15 seconds I'd envisioned. My apologies if I was overly harsh to you or anyone else looking to ODIN back to Stock. I've made a new post in the Development forums with all relevant information. Hopefully I or anyone else can link to it for anyone interested in returning to Stock, or who is having difficulty entering download mode.

[Q] 2 Free HDX7 from Amazon

I had 2 kindles lost in shipping. Called Amazon and they are sending 2 replacements. The originals arrived and I have the new ones. I called Amazon about returning the old ones and they said don't worry about it because they will be disabled anyway. My question is can the old ones be rooted so as to prevent the remote disable or is this connected to the serial number somehow to prevent anyway of saving these?
If you keep the two originals off and off of wifi until a bootloader exploit is found, then yes, you will be able to keep them for as long as you want.

Do the world a favor and lure a great dev over to the kindle side with a donation . I would assume they would be fine as long as they never went online before a custom Rom is put on them.

Who would be the best dev to donate this kindle to as far as cracking the bootloader and has the time to commit to it?

Well if your serious ask @Hashcode his opinion. He probably has some idea of the best kindle devs. Click the link and email him or one of the other devs currently working on this device. Or you could put up a post in general section asking this very question, I'm sure there will be some names dropped.
I'd be willing to donate to the cause to get some dev work on the HDX...specifically to help the guys working on getting the play store functional.

Hashcode has a 7", which he picked up for his daughter.
If you want, I can talk to a few of the guys I know, to see if they have the time. Stericson (Kindle Free & Busybox Pro) would be great, however, I would say to wait. Don't give it to a good dev, what we really need right now is a low level guy that has connections & a good understanding of Qualcomm's msm9615. There are a lot of low level things hanging up any other work right now, even custom roms, or true recovery. A bootloader guy with msm knowledge would be even better, but there really are only a couple that have been reversing BL & msm hardware for any real lengthy period of time.
I'll talk to a few of the old timers & see if I can come up with a name.

Cool, thank you. I know the hardware side of it but come up against a pretty hard wall when it comes to FW. Just never got interested enough to dive in. But if anyone needs a rework or replace an IC I can help.
Edit: I have 2x7" that I picked up for my kids, have to follow what hashcode is doing with kids specific. Can't futz with the kids stuff!
I could use one
I'll take one if you wouldn't mind I'm pretty new to much of this but I can't get better without something to test on and I don't have the money right now to buy one on my own. Plus, I would like to help any devs I can by testing their software and other ideas.

Just sent a pm to ask the use if he has permission for themer MyColorScreen.
And the rate paid fro themes. As my thoughts are the same as your theme devs do all the work for someone else to gain.
And if I wanted money for the work I do I would have a donations button. But I don't I do what I do because I enjoy it and to give used that can't a choice in theme much like your self, create a theme and share.

there is no comission to be payed here guys. is just one simple page which is meant to deal only in selling what you created. you send me the pictures and a contact from you and voila you are up. nothing else.
i created it because i think it is a nice way for the designers to get some more money in. donations are not always enough for the work you have put into.
and i will not sell themes. you are selling them. for how much and why this is your choice. thats why i think i dont need a permission for themer to create a page where themes which are meant to be soled would accumulate
if so and what i am doing is wrong i will delete the page instantly
